:: Chapter 14 :: Tom Marvolo Riddle aka Darth Vader

It wasn't exactly the same since Hermione was like a missing piece to their puzzle, but they tried to retrace her steps throughout the library that was a second haven for her other then her room with Hannah Abbot. Neville was extra quiet but that was because they were housemates, and hung out a lot more together then the rest. But they all were feeling the loneliness left in her stead.

A lot more rumors came out about Harry, saying he was scum to do such a thing to his friend.

It made Harry angry as the ones that did the most damage to her were her ex housemates in Griffindor. Draco had to reel him in more then once from punching Ronald in the face with his admittedly smaller hands.

There was one time though....

Harry was sitting and reading in the library where most of his days were since Hermione's days as a statue began. He was reading what he could, as fast as he could. Of course he wasn't as good as the Statue herself. He sighed when again he came to the end to find no clue, as to what she had last.

Then in came Ron Weasley with his friends, or goons they liked to say but soon enough that red head spotted him before Harry could even get up from his chair. He cursed in his head as Ron approached with a smirk.

"Getting a bedtime story are we?" He asks as he snatched the book.

"No more like trying to find a poison that even magical means can't find..." Harry got up to walk, his eyes telling Ron exactly why he was, even if he really wasn't. His annoyance with the red head rising like a snake from a vase.

Ron scowled. "What for?" He smirked again. "Ah, going to put that big brained Hermione out of her misery?" He taunts.

Harry's eyes turned stoney as he paused from walking away. He turned to the red head and glared like a fire was burning throughout him. "What?"

"I mean, it would be best, otherwise she'd make a great scarecrow for my mums garden." He spoke not even wavering-he knew his wasn't as good as his dads, but when his glare got even darker Ron still wavered some but didn't freeze.

"What garden? I'm sure it's only pots filled with nothing but produce because you're family is poor, a family worth nothing can't possibly need one for such a small garden. I'm sure your mother makes a great scarecrow already though, I wonder how your father does it...." Harry started to smirk as Ron got redder in the face as he talked. "But I'm sure he's just as much a scare crow then her, a match made in heaven-they made great kids so far except for you it seems."

"Don't talk about my mother, or are you jealous I have one? After your mud blood mother died-of course you won't have one-and your father is gay isn't he? You'll never have a mother-Lily probably deserved-" before he could even finish he was holding his mouth while on the ground. His blue eyes looked up horrified at the angry dark looking Harry above him. Blood pooling in his mouth.

"Ronald Weasley," he leaned down and got close to the boy, "if you ever speak of my family in Ill terms ever again..." he leaned past his face and spoke directly into his ear. "I'll kill you."

Ron gulped as Harry pulled away and put on a fake smile as he dusted off his robes of imaginary dust. "Y-You wou-wouldn't..."

"Try me." He turned, but paused. "Oh and Ron, starting today, I'm going to make your life a living hell."

That was how that encounter turned out, and how Harry got his father to let him help prank the twins, but most of all to prank the most annoying Weasley. Well besides the youngest and only daughter of the red headed family.

Admittedly Harry had never thought to be much of the pranking type but his father opened his eyes to the world of magic and none magical means of Pranking someone and how fun it was. Of course there was rules that he followed to a tee, especially the one his father was strictly serious about.

"Now, pranking is supposed to be fun for both sides-if not mildly infuriating. A prank that hurts someone's isn't a prank but a prank either gone wrong or attempt to kill someone. To purposely do something to hurt them is the worse a prankster can do, do you understand?" Percy spoke as they were in the HeadMasters office, Fawkes-liking Percy, let him do whatever he pleased, and the paintings were all sleeping or gone. Even if they were there, they'd be amused at the set up the two were conducting.

"So, how do you prank someone you hate?" Harry asks confused and slightly put off.

Percy turned to Harry as he looked his son over. "By inconveniencing them, not embarrassing them or hurting them. This is a form of bullying by the way Harry, and they better deserve it. Me and the twins have a mutual agreement to prank each other-but we follow these rules."

"Don't worry, he deserves it-at least for awhile." Harry smirked and his father rolled his eyes, then they went back to putting down sticky notes with the magical property to blow up once removed. They were glitter bombs that stuck permanently to who ever tried to remove them.

_______

Snickering at the still glitter dusted Dumbledore, Harry made his way to the infirmary. Where he went to after every meal if he had time to check up Hermione, then off to the library or class. That was his usual. Unless you count the pranking in the middle of the night with his father.

Seeing her paleness-even more paler then when she first became petrified. It worried him the more time moved on but he just had to have patience. Snape would get the potions done soon.

Rubbing her cold hand he suddenly felt paper. Confused he looked down into her balled hand to find some crumbled parchment. Quickly, he took it without hurting her and laughed. She had found out what snake was in the walls! And Mertles name?

He rushed off towards where he knew the rest of their group would still be. Rushing past a miserable glitter boy named Ronald Weasley. He tried not to look back but he just had to. He laughed and continued off again.

Swishing around a corner at his brisk speed he found Draco and pulled him with him without warning.

"Harry?!" He had gasped out in shock at the sudden forceful pulling.

"It's a Baskilisk!" Harry spoke with a grin. "Hermione found out." He showed the paper and grinned at Draco's wide eyed surprise. "She also wrote down a name and that's where we're going if we don't find the rest of the group."

When they found some of the group, but not all, just Neville and Blaise by the stairs as they rushed towards the 2nd floor bathroom. They ran after them of course.

When they got there they were greeted with Mertle who started babbling right away. But Harry interrupted her to ask how she had died, she told him before running off and crying.

"Hissing..." Harry said as he looked around. "She heard hissing, not water. The Baskilisk is a snake, but it's huge so...how..." he wondered the room. Heading towards the faucets.

"I've no clue Harry." Neville said. "But did you here about Ginny going missing?" He asked as he too looked around with the others in tow.

"What? The love sick girl is missing? How?" Draco asks with a wrinkle of his nose.

Harry's eyes caught sight of a snake and considering what they were looking for he came up to the faucet. "I would say good riddance, but she doesn't deserve to die like that, or now." He spoke as he twisted, rubbed and pulled at the faucet. Before he gets the idea to speak. "Open." In parselmouth.

And everyone watched amazed as the sinks slide away and the bottoms of the grated floor opened.

Draco nearly looked over a little to far and was brought back with Harry and Blaise. "Hold on, I think we should get a teacher...my dad or Snape...." Harry spoke carefully. "We can't take care of a Baskilisk guys..."

With that, Harry was left to guard the room, and the three others went to find a teacher to help in the dangerous endeavor.

Looking down at the large hole, Harry wondered how exactly they were supposed to get down. Jumping would probably cause injury unless they were lucky. Examining the wall of the tunnel down, he noticed a pattern in the brick wall. Blinking he spoke again in the snake tongue. "Stairs open." And he watched again, in amazement-as stairs slid from the wall and spiraled down.

"Harry," he jumped five feet into the air, turning to see his dad looking as serious as when he dealt with a troll. "What are you doing?" He asks.

"Um, saving a girls life?" He blinked up at his dad.

Rolling his eyes Percy patted his sons hair and started walking down the stairs, Harry quickly following before being stopped by his father. "Why are you following me?" He asks carefully at his son. Examining the still short skinny boy, not having yet gotten into puberty. So he was still a boy in his eyes.

"Because...I want to help..." Harry looked down as he twiddled with his wand in hand.

Raising a brow, Percy thought about it, before shrugging. It's not like anything would kill his fast enough for him to heal, and it's not like he'd actually put him in harms way. He'd have to die before he let that happen. And it would take a lot to kill him. "Fine, but when I tell you to leave, you leave, understood?"

Harry nodded and grinned at his father as they walked down the stairs, some slippery with moss, his dad having to catch him a few times, but quickly they were at the bottom. With a bunch of bones that is. But once they reached the said bottom. Harry felt this surge of magic and suddenly everything was starting to clean itself and brighten up from the muddy, boney and trashed place to a silver white escape. Not some dungeon.

He shivered as the magic passed over before he felt it hug him tightly before it stopped only to linger.

Percy felt this all and watched his son with a hidden mirth.

They continued to walk, watching everything change drastically in front of them. And soon they entered a chamber, where a red head late dinner the ground paler then the regular she was, a boy walking steadily and being surprised at the sudden change of the large statue of a head full of snakes. The water went from muddy brown to crystal clear. The statues that looked to be broken inside the water fixed themselves and turned obsidian. It was impressive to say the least.

Twirling his wand Percy whistled as he walked forward. Loving magic as it finished the room back to its splendid original form.

"So, who are you?" Percy asks as he comes to stand beside the youngest Weasley. Picking up a diary that laid beside her open outstretched hand. Knowing exactly what it was but playing dumb to get answers.

"Tom. You?" The teenager asked as he looked Percy over, examining him. Feeling slightly put off at the adult. He hadn't expected anyone to come in time or at all considering.

"Percy, what are you doing to the girl?" He fired off as Harry checked her over, making the girl more comfortable on his lap.

"Draining her life source so I can matieralize into the world now." Tom spoke tilting his head at a sudden hiss of excitement as something slithered out and towards Harry.

Percy quickly blocked the way with a shield with which the snake-a very very large one banged its head and started hissing. Percy all the while confused watched on.

"What do you mean hatchling Aseena?" Tom asks as he hissed in her tongue.

"It means, hatchling you dum boy, he's your blood-another of Salazars descendants-I'm so happy!" The snake hissed happily, but groaned as she still couldn't scent at the younger kin.

"What? How? I don't-wait..." Tom looked over at Harry who was staring wide eyed at him as well. "You...can understand?"

Harry looked at his dad, before back at Tom. "Who are you?"

Tom blinked as he stared at his supposed son, in the future-which he was in now he supposed, but he was only the real Toms younger. He had no recollection of real Toms actual memories after Hogwarts. Only his plans and names. "I am Tom Marvolo Riddle," he wrote his name out in the air. "Also known as-" he watched Harry's face fall in horror.

'I am Lord Voldermort'

It hung in the air for a moment before disappearing.

"Shite..." Percy whispered, as he looked to his son who was shocked-and hurt. "Harry close your eyes."

Harry did so, and Percy sent a shrinking charm with his own godly magic and turned the Baskilisk into a smaller version-pythons we're still huge but at least not as huge as she was before she changed her- then turned to Tom. Holding up the diary.

"I will take care of you, but I will not have you take an innocent life in your advances. I sense your-the Real Tom, is not exactly connected as he should be to you-his soul piece. And the others. But I will make sure he will be." He spoke calmly as he closed the book. Holding it gently.

Teen Tom glared at him, not believing him but stopped as he felt the connection to him and the girl on the floor stop. Surprised he looked at Percy who was smirking. "What?" He asked dumbfounded.

Percy only smiled and the next thing that teen Tom knew was that he was back in the books memories and not in the chamber with his son and Aseena.

Grabbing the python that was hissing angrily he went over to Harry. "Hey, it's alright now."

Harry started crying then. "My real father is Darth Vader!" He cried as he wiped at his eyes angrily.

Percy couldn't stop the laugh that he let out. "I guess so, but he too had an old man change him into what he became. I promised you that I would figure it all out remember? So don't cry Harry, it will be alright." He wrapped the boy into his arms with the now softly hissing-as if to comfort him as well-Baskilisk.

Still, Harry continued to cry. But that was okay, he still had Percy to cry on and now Aseena to hold.
