Lucky Date Shirt

It was a hot summer afternoon as you made your way to your freezer in the hopes of finding an ice lolly or something that was going to cool you down a bit. It had been an absolute sauna in your flat over the past few days and the fact that Harrison was back home made it worse, because you were definitely not going to walk around in just your underwear in front of him, so tough luck for you.

Harrison had been your friend for the past year and your roommate for the past three months. Tom had taken off to America to film three movies, which meant that Harrison would've been alone in their house, so he had decided to move in with you - and before you even knew about it, his clothes were stored in your spare room and his shampoo and shower gel were accompanying your stuff in the bathroom.

You weren't complaining though, he was a great roommate and it didn't hurt that he was also paying rent, making your financial situation a lot better than it had been before. His rent was always on time and he wasn't as messy as you had thought he was.

The only thing that made it difficult to live with him was his stupid face. Harrison was easy on the eye. A real fucking angel, and he didn't even try to look like that, it's just how he was born - and how he had managed to sneak his way into your heart. Yes, you were crushing on your mate, and you were really getting annoyed with it, because the boy had this habit of going on tons of date whenever he was home.

Harrison knew he had this effect on people and he didn't mind having some fun once in a while, but he had never been really serious about anyone since he had moved in with you, which meant you sometimes had some awkward encounters in the kitchen with his date for the night, but you usually never saw them again and you didn't mind one bit.

You didn't know if Harrison knew how you felt about him, but for you it seemed pretty obvious that you liked him a lot more than you should. Either he decided to ignore it or he was just really clueless about the situation you were in when it came to your feelings for him.

"(Y/N)?" Harrison's voice ripped you out of your thoughts while you were still standing in front of the freezer, the ice lolly completely forgotten as you were thinking about no other than the boy who had now appeared in the doorway.

"What's up?" You smiled as you pulled out the last ice lolly, making a mental note to go buy new one's tomorrow.

"Do you have any clue where my white shirt is? I kind of need it tonight?" Harrison asked.

His white shirt meant one thing, and one thing only: He had a date tonight and you would probably be sleeping with your earbuds in.

"No clue, have you checked the washing machine?" You said before you popped the lolly into your mouth.

"I have, not there." He said as his eyes went to the lolly in your mouth and you swear you could see him gulp for a second before his eyes found yours again.

"What about your mess of a wardrobe?" You rolled your eyes as you focused on licking the melting ice of the popsicle.

"It's not a mess and it's not in there." Harrison mumbled, "Are you sure it's not somewhere in your room?"

"Why would it?"

"Because you tend to steal my hoodies when I'm gone, who knows what else you steal." He chuckled as your eyes went wide. You didn't know he knew about you grabbing a hoodie here and there, it was just, that they were a lot more comfortable than yours - and they smelled like him.

"N-no, I don't." You tried to play innocent.

"I know you do." He grinned, "There's no way any detergent would make them smell this good without you wearing them, Love."

"Fine, they're comfortable, leave me alone." You said, "And you don't need that many clothes, Harrison, so do something for the poor and let me borrow them."

"I never said you should stop, I don't mind - unless it's my lucky date shirt, then I want it back." He laughed before leaving the kitchen, leaving you behind with you melting ice lolly.

"As if you need more fucking luck." You mumbled as you rolled your eyes and made your way to your room where you found no other than Harrison Osterfield go through your clothes.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" You groaned as you watched him go through your wardrobe.

You could've sworn you had never worn his stupid shirt before, but when he pulled it out of the depths of your dresser, you knew you must've worn it at some point without even realising.

"I knew it! I saw you wearing it on your damn Instagram Story only a week ago."

"I did not - wait," Realisation dawned upon you, "Ah, fuck, yeah I did. It's not even a lucky date shirt."

You had been on this date with a dude your friend had set you up with and you had just done the washing of both of your clothes and you figured the shirt looked really nice on you - and since Harrison wasn't home, you thought he would never find out. The night had been terrible and you had ended up in a club with your friends rather than continuing your date. Your drunken brain must've stopped giving a fuck about Harrison finding out.

"You went on a date? With my lucky date shirt?" Harrison asked.

"It looked cute on me! And in my defense, you were never supposed to find out!" You groaned as you gathered the melting ice on your finger and licking it clean.

"But I did and now I'm pissed because you went on that stupid date."

"It's a stupid shirt Harrison! It's not even lucky, because I know for sure that I didn't get lucky at all that night."

"Guess it's still my lucky shirt then." He grinned as you shot him a angry look, "Okay, kidding, but was the date really that bad?" He laughed.

"Yeah funny how terrible my love life is, isn't it?" You rolled your eyes as you popped your ice lolly back into your mouth.

"Is that why you're having the fucking time of your life with that fucking ice lolly?" He mumbled as he was eyeing your every move while you tried to lick your ice lolly as innocent as you could. Fucking Harrison really had to make everything about - fucking.

"You're so fucking funny, Harrison, aren't you?"

Your love life had really been terrible every since - well, ever since you became friends with Harrison. Mostly because you had been spending most of your time with either him or Tom and because everyone seemed to dislike the fact that you were so close to Harrison and even living with him, but you were totally cool with it, which didn't mean that you wouldn't like some fun every once in a while.

"I am pretty hilarious if I do say so myself." He grinned as he pulled of the shirt he was currently wearing.

"What do you think you're doing?" You asked as you tried to keep your eyes off the boy's body.

"Seeing if I can wear the shirt like that or if I need to wash it first." Harrison shrugged, already clothed in his Lucky Date Shirt.

"I went on a date and afterwards clubbing with it, I would suggest you to wash it first."

"Who the fuck goes clubbing on their first date? What tossers are you dating?"

"I went clubbing after I told him that I really wasn't interested in another story about his Ex." You mumbled as Harrison burst out laughing.

"You're kidding right?"

"See, not a fucking lucky date shirt, Harrison. You're just really fucking pretty and everyone is happy to help you get lucky." You said as you laid down on your bed and stared at the ceiling, the ice lolly now on it's last seconds before being fully melted.

"You think I'm pretty?" You could almost hear the grin on the boy's face when he said that, making you decide to just ignore him and hope he was going to leave, "I know you heard me, do you think I am pretty?"

You closed your eyes, definitely not down to answer that question, because of course you fucking thought he was pretty. He was more than just pretty. This boy was the definition of "Everything you had ever wished for", and yet he still didn't seem to have a clue about your feelings for him.

"(Y/N)." Harrison's voice was definitely closer now, "I know you're not fucking sleeping.", he laughed, his breath tickling your nose, as you realised that he seemed to be hovering above your face.

"'m tired, leave me alone."

"Open your eyes and answer my question." He said before you opened your eyes, just to be greeted by his blue angel eyes, making your heart start racing the second his eyes caught with yours.

"Yes, Harrison. You are pretty, but you're like a fucking model? You know you're good looking, you don't need me to tell you."

"Seems like my Lucky Date Shirt is already working." He grinned as he placed a soft kiss on your nose. You felt the heat spread in your cheeks as you realised that Harrison lips had touched your skin for the first time in your friendship - and you definitely wanted them to do it again.

"Dickhead." You said, rolling your eyes, hoping that he was now going to leave since he had his shirt and the confirmation that he was indeed good looking.

The boy didn't seem to love a muscle as he was still standing next to you staring down at you, making you feel all sorts of emotions at the same time.

"You know, you're really fucking cute when you're trying to hide the little crush you have on me." He grinned as your eyes shot wide open.

"Yeah, mate, you wish. Go get ready for that date you have and stop annoying me." You snorted as you sat up again, Harrison still standing too close for your own liking.

"Come on, you are wearing my clothes, you think I am pr-"

"You are a model, Harrison. Everyone thinks you are pretty. I have no problem with admitting that." You interrupted him, "You're clothes are a lot more comfortable than mine and I do not have a crush on you."

"Is that so? Then you didn't feel anything after I left that kiss on your nose?"

"Y-You're right, I didn't." You smiled, standing up to face him, trying to look as honest as possible.

"Then you sure as hell won't feel anything when I do that." He grinned as he pulled you closer to place another kiss on your skin, this time on your forehead.

Your heart was racing and you has no clue what was currently happening. Was he just trying to get some sick boost before his date later today or did he just want to see if he was right about you crushing on him?

"Harrison, what do you think you're doing?" You mumbled as you tried to take a step back, but the feeling of Harrison's lips on your cheek kept you in place.

"Didn't feel anything as well, huh?" He asked as you were unable to move or speak - what on earth was happening?

You shook your head as you stared at the floor while Harrison let out a soft laugh and took your hand in his to place it on his chest.

"You need to know, that I sure as hell felt something every single time my lips touched your skin." He mumbled as you felt his heartbeat which seemed to be mirroring yours.

Your eyes found his again as you tried to put together the words he had just told you. Were your feelings not one sided at all? And was he really trying to tell you that he felt the same or was it just another trick to get you to admit that he was right about your crush.

"See, I was just winding you up a bit about having a crush on me, but I figured I'd take the chance to find out, because I sure as hell know that there is no date tonight and that the only reason I am wearing this shirt is because of this - because of you." He said, his eyes still locked with yours and you could tell he was telling the truth.

"Guess it's still working then." You said, your lips spreading into a smile.

"It is?" Harrison smiled as he pulled you even closer to him, your arms going around his neck as you nodded.

"You may have been right about my little crush." You admitted, destroying all chances of going back to how it had been before.

"Alright, so let's see if you feel anything when I do that." Harrison smiled as his lips met yours, making you feel more alive than ever and breathless at the same time.

You were still trying to catch up with reality when you felt him pull away, "Feel anything?" He grinned.

"Not yet, let's continue." You chuckled as you pulled him in for another kiss that lasted a lot longer than your first one and moved you past the sharing innocent kisses stage as you ended up in Harrison's lap on your bed.

"So, do you feel anything yet?" Harrison grinned as the hand he had placed so securely on your waist went up to caress the skin you your cheek.

"I do." You smiled as you pecked his lips again.

"See, that's the power of the lucky date shirt." He laughed as you rolled your eyes.

"Let's see if I still feel anything if we get this off you."

"I can guarantee you that you will feel something, Love." He grinned as he pulled you back in for the next one of many kisses.
