Read Part 1 first...!!!
Ex-Husband!Harrison Osterfield x Reader (Forced Marriage AU!)
Summary: You weren't meant to be together, but life is surely full of surprises.
Was it actually you? Harrison kept the wine flute on the counter, his eyes never leaving the sight of the one sitting in the corner of the pub.
Maybe I'm day-dreaming. He thought.
But something in him wanted to believe it was true. Well, not completely true because you were sitting with another man, really close. His heart ached as he saw the man holding your hand and lifting it to meet his lips. He instantly turned to the other side, picking up the wine and droning it in one go. Maybe he should go for some shots. That was the only way he could divert his mind from the scene playing behind him. The bartender prepared a shot and he drowned it as if his life depended on it.
"Excuse me, two mojitos please."
Shit, it was you.
He tried to keep his shivers in control, failing miserably.
You were standing right next to him, how could he? It had already been more than two years he hasn't listened from you, haven't seen you. It was too much for him to bear.

"Okay... So, hmm..." You pressed your lips in a tight smile, walking towards the main door with the suitcase in hand, Harrison following you behind. "I guess, this is it," you stopped at the door looking at him. He closed his eyes at your words and soon enough you saw a tear slipping down his cheek.
"Haz..." You whispered, hands leaving the suitcase, cupping his cheeks. "What is all this Harrison? I don't understand why you are crying for my departure. You should be happy!" You said softly to which he fluttered open his eyes.
"Happy?" He repeated the word as if it was foreign, making you crease your brows. "You expect me to be happy? Happy at what?" His voice got rough as if he was angry.
You dropped your hands looking at him confused. He took a step closer, this time he was the one cupping your cheeks possessively in his hands. And before you could understand anything, your back was pressed against the door, his lips on yours.
He never kissed you like this. His kisses were always shallow, devoid of love or passion. But right now it was really passionate, full of emotions. So feverish that it made your heart flutter as if... as if you were the one guilty.
No.
No. This was wrong.
You forcefully pushed his chest with your hands. He was heavily breathing as he looked at you, terrified.
"What the hell is this? Why the hell would you do this?" Your voice was loud, angry and confused.
"Y/n. I---" He tried to move closer but you stopped him with your hand.
"It's over Harrison. The thing that was never between us is over. The divorce papers are already signed and we are no more in any kind of relationship!" Tears of irritation busted out of your eyes as you continued yelling, voice breaking. "You never cared for me ever, never loved me and now... And now when everything is over why are you behaving like you love me and don't want to let go? Still suffering from Stockholm syndrome or... Imagining me as Snow? I am leaving you so that you can live your life happily with her! But this..." You touched your lips, glancing at your fingers, sure that your lipstick was terribly smudged.
"I don't want you to go..." His voice was soft but clear.
You fake chuckled at his words.
"What? After our divorce? What the hell is wrong with you Harrison. We are no more husband and wife. When we were it never felt like and now when we aren't you are suddenly behaving as if we were in love... Oh... I get it now. You are doing this so that you could live your life happily with Snow, but I... But I can't... With anyone... So that I can never find happiness. You want to make me feel guilty? Make me cry over you all my life?"
His head shot up at your words.
"No... No... Never. I would never do this ever..." His voice was already on the verge of cracking.
"Oh... Then do me a favour and let me leave. I thought we could be friends after this, but now I am pretty sure we should never see each other. We were just two strangers married to each other without our wishes and now look we are again strangers. I am Y/n Oster--- Y/n Y/ln and you are Harrison Osterfield, not related in any way." You completed, opening the door and dragging the suitcase out. You took off the ring from your hand and handed it on his palm.
He stood there lifeless, he knew you were right. He clenched the ring in his hand. Yes, you were again strangers.
"The truck driver will soon shift my stuff. Goodbye." You walked away, trying your best not to turn back. Something in you wanted to look at him one last time but you clenched your fists, suppressing the desire, getting inside the taxi. You wiped your tears as the taxi started moving.

And now you were standing right beside him. He gulped turning his head to the opposite side. He didn't hear your voice again, making him assume that you left. He sighed turning only for his blue eyes to meet your [ your eye colour] eyes.
Shit.
His jaws dropped, unable to form any words or rather excuses. You haven't changed much, except for some silver highlights in your hair.
"Oh, hi! Ha-Harrison."
So, you were nervous, just like him.
And it surely gave him strength, seeing you on a similar page as him. Consequently, he straightened his posture and released the breathe he was holding.
"Ha-Hi! Y/n." He produced a smile, afraid you can see the fake in it.
What to do now? Should he excuse himself or start a conversation?
Awkward silence.
You looked at your feet, he looked at his feet.
"So..."
"So..."
You both spoke at the same time making you both look at each other, chuckling.
Awkward laughs... that died too soon for any of your liking.
Awkward silence, again.
And maybe Josh noticed it because he walked right there.
"What takes you so long, darling? Looks like you both know each other?"
You and Harrison looked at him as you answered, "It's Harrison. Umm... We were married once."
Josh was silent for a minute, his dark blue eyes staring at Harrison's icy blue ones.
"I am Josh, Y/n's my girlfriend."
He finally let out his hand for Harrison who shook it and then he held you by your waist, excusing you and him walking back to the previous seat. But this time he sat opposite to you so that you can't see Harrison. Wow!

Just a few weeks later you were walking back from the shopping market by foot just to enjoy the weather, but as a slut London weather can be, it showed its true face again and now you had to run to find a place to save yourself and the clothes you purchased from drowning in rain. You got inside the first coffee shop you stumbled across.
Busy Sunday...
Almost all the tables were full and the rain was getting heavier. You decided to share a seat at your favourite part of any restaurant, the back corner seat. The man sitting there was working on his laptop. You kept the shopping back on the chair, before asking, "Can I take this seat?"
"Huh?" He bent the laptop screen a bit down only for his eyes to meet you.
"Harrison?"
Again.
"Y/n," he completely lowered his laptop taking a look at you.
"Ah... I will sit anywhere else," You held the bag but he stopped you.
"No, no. Sit here. I... actually wanted to talk." He pushed the laptop aside, hands on the table as you took a seat across him.
Please, no more awkward silence.
"So hmm... where is... Snow?" You asked mindlessly, regretting your question the other second.
What a wonderful topic to start a conversation.
He nodded his head in a 'no', making you confused.
"She said no?"
"I didn't ask her," He said softly to which you creased your eyebrows.
"But..." You were interrupted by the waiter serving coffee.
"But why?" You asked.
"Don't know." He shrugged.
"But you have coffee." He pointed at the still coffee mugs, diverting the topic.
"But wait, you said you wanna talk to me. So what's that about?"
"Well... I guess we should talk outside, I am already sitting here for one hour and the crowd is increasing, it will look pretty rude. Also, it's no more raining." He pointed at the window and kept his laptop inside his shoulder bag. You followed him as he moved out of the coffee shop.
"I just wanna ask about how's life? Nothing much serious..." He said shoving one hand in his hoodie pocket and the other holding his bag's strap as you both continued to walk.
"Fine. I would say it's pretty decent."
He hummed in response.
"So, you and your boyfriend, how are you both doing? Just normally asking." He said stopping near the crosswalk.
"Well, he isn't bad. I mean it's not been long but..."
You looked down as he waited for you to continue.
"But I mean... He asked me to move in and I said I wasn't ready, so he just got too angry..." You gulped and looked at Harrison, his eyes squinting in concern.
"I actually wanna break up with him, but seeing his last reaction, I am a bit nervous. He got really angry, I thought he would hit me or so. He didn't but... I am afraid."
Why were you telling it to Harrison? But for some reason, it felt the right thing to do.
"I'm so sorry," he kept his hands on your shoulders, rubbing them gently in assurance. But within a minute you saw him pulled back and all you could see was Josh in front of you. Harrison stumbled on his feet falling on the edge of the pavement.
"Oh, you think I will hit you." He held your hand tightly and you could see some people gathering around the scene as Harrison gets up.
"You are doing it right now," You tried to get your hand out of his grip but he only tightened it making you panic.
"You wanna see how I hit you?" He twisted your arms.
"What the fuck, leave her!" Harrison came in play pushing him.
You rubbed your arm but before you could do anything Josh had forcefully punched Harrison on the face and he was lying down holding his nose.
The crowd enlarged and finally, you could see Josh panicking when some people came forward making him back off. Josh's lip was bleeding, but Harrison seemed much worse.
"Fuck off!" He mouthed, touching his face where Harrison had hit and walked away and two men came forward as you crouched down to help Harrison. They gently pulled him to stand on his feet and soon enough the crowd was back to work.
"You're okay?" You gently squeezed his arm making him remove his hand from his face.
"Oh God Haz your nose is bleeding badly." You again panicked as he glanced at his bloody hands. You took out your handkerchief and handed it to him.
"Press it against your nose till I get you home." You took the bag from his shoulder and walked to his house which was luckily just in the adjacent block.
* * *
He unlocked the door and you were hit by a strong wave of nostalgia. The house hasn't changed much.
You heard Harrison wincing in pain, diverting your attention from the house to him.
"Sit sit... Let me bring ice and first aid." You said and walked in the bedroom you both once shared. You kept your composure taking out the first-aid kit and then went to the kitchen to get an ice pack.
He was lying on the sofa, you shifted his feet a bit and settled near his feet. He got up to settle slowly and you took off the bloody handkerchief from him.
"Oh my god, Harrison. It's even worse than I thought!" Your eyes widened seeing the blue appearing beneath the red.
"Yeah. That's what I was wondering. What exactly Josh is?!" He asked taking the ice pack from you and pressing it against his nose.
"Umm... He practices boxing... I mean at a professional level."
"Great choice..."
You could hear the sarcasm in his voice which made you weirdly relax.
He wasn't mad. He wasn't mad at all...
You dipped some cotton in some antiseptic.
"Is the bleeding stopped?" You asked as he puts away the icepack. He touched his nose and then his finger, not seeing any fresh blood.
"I guess it did, but it pains like hell!" He groaned, childishly which made you chuckle.
Friends. For the first time in your life, he felt like a friend.
Just the feeling of this new connection which was nowhere to be found in all these years made your heart flutter.
He let out his palm for you to handle the bandage but instead was caught off guard by your hand on his.
Your eyes met and it felt nice, at least for you because he seemed confused.
"Let me." You gave him a small smile which instantly fixed the crease in his brows. You shifted on your spot to properly face him.
You brought your other hand to softly wipe off the dried blood. He intervened his hand with yours, giving it a squeeze making you look him in the eye.
"Sorry, it hurts."
You again smiled, finally bandaging his nose.
"At least it's intact." You playfully but gently pressed your index finger on the tip of his nose which automatically covered his face with an ear to ear smile.
You didn't notice for how long you two were sitting that close, staring into each other's eyes until you felt his breath fanning on your face.
"Y/n..." He whispered so slowly as if he didn't want even the walls to hear but you.
"Yeah..." Something in you made you reciprocate the way he was speaking.
"I never gave you a chance. I never gave you the love you deserved..."
"Haz---"
"Please, let me finish first."
You just nodded and he continued, not even caring about your interlaced fingers.
"When we were getting married, every friend or colleague or literally anyone I knew started treating me as if I was being so unfortunate, been married to a stranger. They showed sympathy when I didn't ask and at my back, I heard them joking about my classic 90's movies kind of 'sad' situation. It made me afraid. Afraid that I was becoming a mere symbol of fake sympathy and laughable gossip. So, I decided... So, I decided, no matter who you were I won't treat you as my wife. I won't give them a reason to be proud of what they gossiped about me.
"I thought getting into an extra-marital affair would make all their 'me being an unfortunate human' allegations false. So, I started to look for Snow... But couldn't make myself actually get in any kind of relationship with her. I was constantly telling myself that I have to get closer to her even when I didn't feel like...
"And look at you? You only filed the divorce so that I can be happy? No self-intentions? Why? How?...
"It just made me regret every moment I didn't appreciate your presence! My biggest misfortune was me been driven by my thick ego, completely ignoring the angel God sent to me...Makes me regret of not trying, not fighting of what was worth it.
"And then you left... This house... This house reminds me of you, reminds of the endless moments I could appreciate you... Love you..."
You didn't know what to reply... It wasn't a regular thing to hear, so you remained there, still staring in his eyes that seemed to gloss.
"Were your eyes so beautifully [your eye colour] since always?"
His hand that was interviewed with yours travelled to your cheeks, softly grazing through the clothed skin of your arms.
You could see him leaning in. You were sure you both were breathing the same air which made your whole body heat up and chest to tighten up.
He pushed away the hairs falling on your eyes. You closed your eyes feeling his breath fanning over your lips.
"Would you again push me away if I kiss you?... Just one... One last time before you go..." He mumbled almost touching your lips.
"It-It won't be the last time..." You mumbled against his lips, carefully leaning in to prevent his nose from any more pain.
The old touch but the newly found sweet sensation told you something... Even if you both weren't meant to be together... The world is surely full of surprises...
