A/N: The Last Chapter

Zane made plans to go to town. He had an appointment to get his tongue pierced. He took Charlie with him, he was a pro. Charlie would enjoy this gift in six weeks, when Zane healed. Charlie marked it on a calendar and made Zane laugh.

Zane realized as he put his house up for sale that he was moving in with Charlie. He was in love. Charlie, Anders and Lee helped sort everything. Zane wasn't keeping a whole lot. Zane let them have what they wanted.

Zane watched Charlie. "Do you guys have a favorite charity that you donate to?"

"We do. It's a children's hospital. Why?" Charlie was curious.

"I don't want anything from this house. I want to donate all of it. If you don't care, Charlie." Zane sighed. "I don't want anything from Smith."

Charlie looked at Anders and Lee. They shrugged. "Uh..."

"Do you think that's a bad idea? I just want to start over. I have a savings account. I can live on that for now and my boyfriend is in a rock and roll band." He smiled.

Charlie glared. "I thought you wanted to be on your own?"

Zane glared. "I did but that was before you kissed me and showed me why you got your tongue pierced!"

Charlie turned white and covered his face.

Anders and Lee laughed. "Really!" Anders wrapped an arm around Charlie.

Charlie sighed. "He makes me crazy! Anders, he got his tongue pierced the next day!"

Lee smiled. "Now, we know why you are always late."

Zane blushed and sighed. "So...donate?"

Charlie nodded. "Whatever you want, Zane. We can live off Harper, it's all his fault!"

Anders laughed. "Charlie, you better keep Zane. He's a good guy."

"Zane, if he's stupid just tell us. We will kick his ass for you." Lee smiled.

Zane nodded. He was keeping Charlie. "I'm donating the money." He walked off with his phone. The Realtor was shocked.

Charlie watched him. "I'm so in love with that man!" He sighed. "I'm going to marry him, guys."

Anders smiled. "I better be your best man!"

Lee smiled. "Better have two best men!"

Charlie smiled. "I'm glad I have you both. I have three new songs written and I have almost finished them. I have three that are still in the thought process. I don't have the music for them yet. Still working on things."

"How do you have time?" Lee smiled.

"Zane helps. I always thought a lover would get in the way but he brings food, makes sure I hunt, makes sure I eat and sits with me. He gives me advice. It is so easy to live with him. I mean, he came over when I gave him a tour and I was happy that he didn't really leave. Of course, he swears he isn't living there. I helped him unpack his last suitcase last night. The sex was incredible." Charlie sighed as Zane walked back over.

"Okay. I have papers to sign in the morning. Is this okay? I just don't want anything. That life was a fake and I don't wish to begin a new life from the money that one made. I want the foundation of this one to be love and honesty." Zane took a breath.

Charlie laughed. "I love you! You are the most noble person I know. Anyone else would take that money and burn it or waste it. You're donating it to a worthy cause. You're too good for me, Zane!"

Zane nodded. "I know."

Charlie glared and wrapped around him. "Marry me!"

Zane watched Charlie. "What?"

"You heard me. I mean it. Marry me. I know it's too soon and we have a weird history but marry me. I love you and put your clothes in my closet. Our closet. I want you in my house and my bed. Our house and our bed. I love you, Zane. Just marry me!" Charlie sighed. He wasn't sure what Zane's answer would be but he had to ask. He even pulled out a ring.

Zane stared.

"It's too soon and I know that!" Charlie nodded. "I just need to say it. I needed to get it out there. Just think about it."

"Yes." Zane hadn't really moved.

"What?"

"Yes. I will absolutely marry you! Yes!" Zane smiled.

Charlie pulled Zane close and kissed him. They kissed quietly for a few minutes. Anders and Lee watched. They weren't leaving now. Their friend just proposed to a human.

"I applied." Zane whispered.

"What?" Charlie stared.

"I turned in my application. Eve helped. I'll get an answer by next week. I'm so scared they will deny me." Zane wiped a tear.

"You're mine no matter what, Zane." Charlie handed him the box. He opened it and gasped.

"This is amazing. Charlie." Zane was shaking as Charlie slid it on his finger. "I belong with you anyway. Eve said there was no problem but I'm scared."

Charlie sighed. "Well, let's go home and unpack. I can find something to distract you, Zane."

"Did you two just get engaged?" Lee smiled.

Zane looked up. He laughed. Charlie nodded. "We did! I am getting married! I know it's too soon but I'm getting married!" He kissed Zane.

"I guess I have to come out to our fans!" Charlie sighed.

"You don't have to." Anders shrugged.

"I want to. Anders, I'm sick of pretending. I want the world to know that I love Zane. I want our fans to know. They may shoot me next time!" He joked. "I'm going public at the next interview. Is that okay with you guys?"

"Charlie, I don't care what you do, you know that. You're happy and that's good for me. I love Zane for you. It's about time you found someone that was weird enough for you!" Lee smiled. "For the band, I think it may help us win the best album! We would get LBGTQ+ votes!" He chuckled.

Charlie sighed. "Done." He smiled. "You're both my best men and I'm coming out to our fans. I'm getting married to the man of my dreams." He wrapped around Zane.

"I just got dreamier because I got my tongue pierced!" Zane teased.

"Just wait until you become a vampire. We are definitely breaking something!" Charlie smiled a wicked smile. Charlie didn't worry about Zane getting approval, Eve was seeing that it happened.

It was a unanimous vote anyway. Zane was a vampire before their wedding, two weeks later. It was quiet, just close friends and a lovely honeymoon.

Zane and Harper went to the awards ceremony with their men. Charlie was already married to Zane and he took his husband. Harper went with his fiance. Anders finally asked by then.

Zane never left Charlie's side and they won best album and best song. Charlie wrote it and they gave him the mic. He thanked his husband. Even the band cheered.

Anders was proud of the fans because they got nothing but encouragement and congratulations when Charlie came out. He never hid but they never talked about it. Zane was open and didn't care what people said but the nice happy comments were appreciated. Nothing changed for Pierce. He still scheduled concerts and tours. He stayed busy on his phones. He had three.

Harper and Zane dealt with the accountant. He was trying to leave the country when the cops caught up. He went into a holding cell until his trial. Harper was right and they were getting most everything back. The lawyer that Zane used was excellent.

Harper married Anders in a very public wedding. Lots of famous people showed. Harper was just happy that his mom was there. Everything was perfect for the wedding and the food was delicious.

Rick stayed with Eve. He was thinking about being turned but needed more time. Eve was wearing him down.

Charlie and Zane danced together quietly all night. No one disturbed them. They were a lost cause. Lee and Krista, nothing changed. They did take a long vacation and called it a second honeymoon. They wouldn't tell anyone how long they were married. Anders loved the mystery.

Eve went public with her ordeal. The report went public. Even the witches and elves received a copy. It was a warning that every sector needed to be monitored. That had been a fight but Eve was finally getting what she wanted.

Eve spent three hours in a meeting and she was exhausted. She just wanted to go home and drink a glass of red wine and sleep. It was Friday. She stepped outside and a loud motorcycle pulled up and its engine growled.

"Well, I'm calling the cops. Those bikers think that they can do whatever they want! Just because they don't hold jobs, well, I won't stand for it." Dorris was grouchy.

Eve just laughed. "No! Dorris. That rude jackass is mine!" Eve walked over, took the helmet Rick held and hopped on the back, strapped on the helmet and wrapped around Rick. "Go!"

"Bossy!" Rick smiled through his helmet. "How was your day, Dear?"

"Meetings. Go! Dorris will call the police." Eve waved at Dorris. Dorris looked shocked but waved back. Hale walked out and laughed. He walked over to Rick and shook his hand.

"Be good." Hale smiled.

"Hale, that doesn't look good for us this weekend!" Rick laughed and revved the engine and thought about peeling out but he behaved. He sped off with Eve wrapped around him. This was heaven. He just drove faster and heard her laugh. He loved his woman and he was showing her how much later.
