chapter twenty seven
The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the living room where we had spent the previous night playing Truth or Dare. The laughter and playful banter still lingered in the air, and I couldn’t help but smile as I stretched and yawned. It was the boys' holiday, and the house felt alive with a comforting sense of togetherness.
I got out of bed, noticing the faint ache from all the excitement and laughter of the previous night. As I made my way to the kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted me. Jin was already there, humming softly to himself as he prepared breakfast. His presence was calming, and I felt my heart swell with affection.
“Good morning, Jin,” I said, wrapping my arms around him from behind.
“Good morning, Ava,” he replied, turning his head to give me a quick kiss on the cheek. “Did you sleep well?”
“I did,” I said, smiling. “How about you?”
“Like a baby,” he chuckled. “Now, let’s get this breakfast ready. The others will be up soon, and I’m sure they’ll be hungry.”
We worked side by side, preparing a hearty breakfast. Jin’s culinary skills were impressive, and I enjoyed watching him move effortlessly around the kitchen. The sound of footsteps soon filled the house as the boys began to wake up one by one.
Namjoon was the first to join us, followed by Yoongi, who still looked half-asleep. Hobi and Taehyung arrived next, their energy infectious as they greeted us with bright smiles. Jungkook was last, rubbing his eyes and yawning widely.
“Morning, everyone,” I said, setting plates on the table.
“Morning, Ava,” they chorused, their voices a mix of sleepiness and warmth.
We all sat down to eat, the table filled with delicious food and the buzz of conversation. The boys used chopsticks, deftly picking up food and occasionally feeding me bites with playful grins. The atmosphere was light and filled with a sense of family that I cherished deeply.
Throughout breakfast, I couldn’t help but notice Namjoon’s hand resting on my inner thigh under the table. His touch was warm and reassuring, sending pleasant tingles through my skin and making me blush. He seemed to sense my reaction and gave me a knowing smile, his eyes filled with affection.
After breakfast, we decided to spend the day doing chores around the house together. It was a rare opportunity for all of us to be at home, and I loved the idea of working alongside them, creating a sense of unity and shared purpose.
We divided the tasks among ourselves, and I found myself in the living room, dusting and tidying up. Jimin appeared with a mischievous glint in his eye, holding a feather duster.
“Need some help?” he asked, his voice playful.
“Sure,” I replied, smiling at him.
We worked together, and it wasn’t long before Jimin found an excuse to corner me by the bookshelf. He moved closer, his body brushing against mine as he reached for a book on a high shelf. I felt my heart race as he leaned in, his breath warm against my ear.
“You know,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing, “I didn’t get my kiss last night without being interrupted by that bunny boy.”
I turned to face him, my pulse quickening. Jimin’s eyes were dark and full of desire, and I couldn’t help but be drawn to him. He cupped my face gently, his thumb brushing against my cheek.
“This time, there’s no one to interrupt us,” he whispered, his lips inches from mine.
I closed the distance, our lips meeting in a soft, passionate kiss. Jimin’s hand slid to the back of my neck, pulling me closer as he deepened the kiss. My arms wrapped around his waist, feeling the warmth and strength of his body against mine.
The kiss was everything I had imagined and more, filled with unspoken promises and emotions. When we finally pulled apart, Jimin’s eyes were bright with satisfaction.
“Now that’s more like it,” he said, his voice husky. “I’ve been wanting to do that for a while.”
I smiled, feeling a rush of affection for him. “Me too,” I admitted, my cheeks flushed.
We stood there for a moment, savoring the intimacy before reluctantly pulling away to continue our chores. The rest of the day was filled with shared laughter and lighthearted teasing as we worked together.
Hobi and I tackled the laundry, turning it into a fun game as we folded clothes and made jokes. Yoongi and Namjoon took care of the yard, their teamwork evident in the way they communicated and moved. Jin and Taehyung handled the kitchen, their playful banter making the mundane task of washing dishes enjoyable.
Jungkook, ever the energetic one, bounced between tasks, helping everyone with a bright smile and infectious enthusiasm. The house was filled with a sense of camaraderie and love, and I couldn’t have been happier.
As the afternoon sun began to dip, we gathered in the living room, exhausted but content. Namjoon brought out a deck of cards, suggesting a game to wind down the day. We played and chatted, the bond between us growing stronger with each passing moment.
When it was time for dinner, we decided to order takeout, too tired to cook after our busy day. We sat around the table, enjoying the meal and each other’s company. The boys’ playful flirting and affectionate gestures made my heart swell with love.
Later that night, as we prepared for bed, I couldn’t help but reflect on the day. The boys had shown me how deeply they cared, not just through their words but through their actions. Their support and love made me feel cherished, and I knew that no matter what challenges we faced, we would face them together.
Jimin caught me by the arm as I headed to my room, pulling me close for one last kiss. “Good night, Ava,” he whispered against my lips. “Sleep well.”
“Good night, Jimin,” I replied, smiling.
As I slipped into bed, I felt a sense of peace and contentment. The boys’ love and devotion filled my heart, and I knew that we were building something beautiful together. No matter what the future held, I was ready to face it with them by my side.
And as I drifted off to sleep, I couldn’t help but dream of the many more mornings and nights we would share, our bond growing stronger with each passing day.
