Harley Quinn slowly lead the two kids to a safe house and set them down on a bed. It was clear that the two weren't from Gotham since they haven't exactly done anything illegal. Not like it really mattered since they could run afoul of any of the other criminals in the city. Sure, she had a house, but it was clear that Joker's goons were slowly closing in on it. 

"Great. Now I need to find a place for me and two kids." Harley said as she sat down on the couch with her head on her hands. Nearly everyone was after her head and she didn't really have many allies. Before she could continue thinking about her options....

Tap! Tap!

Harley looked towards the window to see an old friend standing there with a smirk on her face. Normally, she wouldn't entertain her, but she needed some kind of distraction of this situation that she got herself into.

"Selina, what are you doing here?" Harley asked.

"Just wanted to see how you're doing considering that breakup." Selina said making Harley groan.

"I've been managing, but I ran into people that may make hiding...a little more difficult." Harley asked. Selina raised her eyebrow and wondered what she meant before Harley pointed to a room near the cramped living room. Inside were two children that seemed to be sleeping which was cute, but at the same time...going to make hiding difficult.

"So you're going into hiding with two kids?" Selina said.

"I'll be lying if I said no. Normally, I would hide out with Ivy, but...." Harley began before staying silent. After an incident that occurred several years ago, her friend sacrificed herself to safe Gotham. Part of her knew that she was probably dead, but the other part still had hope that she was still out there. (This is not going to be a Poison Ivy x Harley fanfic cause Poison Ivy will be younger and also...she is going to be Lincoln's love interest.)

"So you're just going to hop from place to place while keeping yourself and those kids alive?" Selina said.

"Unless you have any ideas on how to avoid Joker's goons or the people who are after my head." Harley said. 

"You can stay at one of my hideouts. Though you should be careful on not being recognized and getting yourself killed." Selina said. Harley thought about her options and agreed since she was sure that any abandoned areas would bring some trouble. Trouble that she surely didn't need at the moment since she had to take care of the kids. 

Though, she also had to find information on them so she wouldn't make a fatal mistake. It would give her a chance to figure out why the boy seemed so familiar. As Selina left, Harley laid down and started to sleep. Never knowing how much her life would change in the coming months.

I blinked open my eyes to see that I was in...a park. It was dark and I could hear some people talking in the distance. To be honest, I didn't know much about where I came from or where I am...I just know I shouldn't let others see me.  In my head, I can faintly remember someone with blonde pig tails and blue eyes...she was a friend. I don't know how I knew that she was, but my gut feeling told me that she was. So maybe...she could help me. So I slowly walked out and started to search for her. This won't be easy, but  I had to find her in order to feel safe.

Luan

Everyone heard Mom's cries as we discovered the consequences of our actions. If we treated him better then maybe he would've stayed along with Lily. However...we didn't and each day kept becoming unbearable to Lincoln. His friends tried to warn us about how far we were pushing him yet we all chose to ignore them. (Lincoln's friends are loyal in this book which includes Ronnie Anne)

We thought that he would take anything that we put him through and he would be fine. How foolish we were. Shaking my head, I quickly tried to comfort the twins while wondering if things will ever go back to normal. It may take some time, but Lincoln will come back along with Lily and we will be fine. 

I kept this thought as the years passed by until I realized:

How naive I was in thinking that things will ever be normal again.
