A/N: fun fact: i wrote this in target

"So would you like to inform me where we're going kind sir?" You quirked an eyebrow up at Dan, him returning the look.

"Well since we're unlucky and left exactly before the food came," Dan paused so he could sigh in exasperation, "I thought we could just stop somewhere quick."  His eyes met yours in search of approval and you nodded.

You've barely eaten all day, so your stomach wasn't afraid to announce it to the world.

"Christ, what do you have living in there an extraterrestrial?" Dan's eyes trailed down to your stomach.

"As a matter of fact I do, his name is Maurice." You spoke slyly, making Dan laugh uncontrollably.

You loved having that effect on him.

You kept your cool, staring at him with pursed lips.

"Well does your friend Maurice bite?" Dans laughter slowly started to die down and you nodded simply, turning to him with a vicious smirk.

"Y/N, you're starting to give me goose bumps. Are you feeling alright?" Dan's eyes were full of concern, placing his hand on your shoulder.

Suddenly you let out a blood curdling scream, pushing your stomach out. That was something you've been able to do since you were little.

Dan let out the girliest screech he had in him, hiding behind his hands.

"What the fuck!" Dan yelled, traumatized.

This kid is so gullible.

At this point you couldn't contain yourself and you broke out into hysterics.

Dan stopped his trembling and glared at you darkly for a good 30 seconds, then started to walk the opposite way.

Your smile quickly dropped once you saw how upset he was and you ran after him, a pang of guilt in your stomach.

"Dan- I'm so- shit I suck at apologizes." You stumbled with your words, then started to speak up again.

"It was just a joke, I thought you'd find it funny." You spoke nervously as you watched him continue walking expressionless.

Was he really going to act that insensitive over something so little?

Once you realized he wasn't going to talk, you slumped your shoulders and kept your focus on your shoes.

After a minute or two has passed, Dan grabbed onto your shoulders with force and screamed in your ear loudly.

Of course you flew back in terror, getting what you deserved.

"What is that sweet, angelic word I'm about to whisper in your ear? Payback?" Dan whispered swiftly, inching closer and closer to your ear with each word, his hot breath fanning on the side of your face.

It sent shivers down your spine, and you prayed he didn't notice.

"You got me." You retorted, snapping your fingers in a sarcastic manner.

Dan just grinned in accomplishment as if nothing just happened and started walking back the way you were before.

"This is not what I signed up for when I befriended you." You teased, stomping behind him.

"Oh, lighten up. There are very few people who get to ride the Rollercoaster of Howellship, you should consider yourself lucky that you actually made the list. You were borderline." All you could do was snort, which made Dan's booming laughter echo throughout the vacant street.

"I guess you could call me lucky, dweeb." You giggled and messed up his hair, walking into a McDonalds.

"Y/N, do have some sort of hair ruffling fetish you're not telling me about?" Dan shot you a smirk but was quickly swept off his face once you elbowed him in the stomach.

The two of you were sat in the Kids Place, happily sharing 30 nuggets.

"So." You began, dipping your nugget in ketchup (Which Dan found offensive because there was literally every other condiment to choose from and you chose ketchup.) while Dan looked up at you expectedly after staring admiringly at his food for a solid 5 minutes.

"You never explained to me why you had such a hatred for me before you met me." You bit into your nugget, curiously waiting for his response.

You could tell this was something he didn't want to discuss since his cheeks turned rosy immediately.

"Well- I-I-." Dan ran a hand through his hair, seeming agitated.

You leaned in a little closer, desperate for him to continue.

"I really don't have an explanation, I was just being an absolute dick." His sad eyes looked up into yours, knowing that he truly felt bad about what he said about you.

"Well don't worry about it because I told Louise that you were a sadistic, egotistical maniac." You flashed him a bright smile, him smiling back at you mockingly and throwing a fry at you.

"You're always so pessimistic and I don't know if I can handle it anymore." Dan fake cried, using the fries as his tears.

Your laughter filled the air, making his dimples pop out from smiling so much. You really couldn't get enough of Dan.

What the hell were you saying? You two were strictly friends and that's it.

"Hey, I dare you to go down that slide." Dan nodded his head towards the small area with slides and a pin ball machine.

You scoffed as if it were easy and stood up, waiting for him.

"What are you doing, flee peasant!" Dan waved his hand to dismiss you, but you didn't dare move, folding your arms.

"If I go down you're going down with me." You clapped your hands in excitement when he reluctantly got up, trailing behind you.

"Or I could go down on you."

"What was that?"

He coughed a few times, "Nothing."

So the two of you spent another half hour going down the compacted slides and sitting up there, waiting for poor infants to reach the corner and scare them.

You were horrible people.

But nonetheless, it was easily one of the greatest nights you've ever had. Hanging out with Dan was like being introduced to a whole new world, and you were starting to become addicted to it.

You and Dan were going down the next slide for the fourth time now, but you froze in place once your eyes laid on the manager, who was giving you a discouraged look. Especially once Dan came down after you and knocked you down, causing the both of you to stumble to the ground.

"Shit." Dan whisper shouted.

"Dan now is not the time for your profanities!" You whisper shouted back, your eyes still glued to the managers.

"Can you explain to me what's going on here?" She smacked her lips, her eyes quickly examining the both of you.

The two of you tried to speak up, but nothing came out except for a few things that weren't coherent.

"You two aren't into that weird DDLG stuff are you?" Her face twisted into a look of disgust.

Your immediate reaction was to just sit there in awe, mouths hung open, baffled by her question. All you could do was just stare at each other with eyes that were the size of the moon (A/N: thought that was perfect timing)

"N-No!" Dan finally shrieked in disturbance, shaking his head quickly.

"Okay." She said suspiciously, slowly walking out.

"I think that's our cue to get the fuck out of here." You stood up, laughing vaguely.

"Some people are so queer." Dan spoke below a whisper, still frightened.

You two finally reached your hotel room, already making jokes about what's occurred tonight.

"Well I have to say Howell, you really know how to make my life more thrilling." You tipped your imaginary hat towards him.

"Even though we've been ignominiously humiliated in front of a group of people more than once in one night, I'd have to agree." He smiled boastfully at you.

"I had fun tonight." You suddenly grew shy, which was odd because you've become so close to Dan within the past few weeks. Why was your perspective of him changing so suddenly, you couldn't decide if you liked it or not.

"Yeah I did too, we should totally do this more often. I thought I was an imbecile when in public but when I'm with you I can embrace it." He pumped his fists in the air, making the both of you laugh.

"Well I guess that's good that I got stuck with an imbecile then, I mean I'd rather be stuck with-"

"Wow, really boosting my ego right now Y/N." Dan spoke dryly, an impassive look on his face.

You couldn't help but laugh. "I'm only kidding, text me." You awkwardly turned the knob so you could finally have some time to figure out how the hell you were feeling right now, but before you could you felt an arm wrap around your waist and turn you around.

"Yes?" Your voice was unmeaningly shaky.

"You forgot something." Dan held his arms out while looking down at you with his puppy eyes. You had no idea how the hell he was a real person.

You gladly accepted his hug, melting from the contact almost immediately. Then you pulled away urgently, realizing that the emotions you were going through was not normal. You can't like Dan, it was prohibited!

"Well I'll uh, see you." You mentally face palmed at how terrible you were at communicating, then made it worse by slamming the door in his face.

You jumped when you noticed Louise was right by the door.

"You were looking through the peephole, weren't you?"

"Yes." Louise smiled cautiously at you.

You groaned. "I'm going to bed."
