"No. Absolutely not."

Archie lets out a soft whine, burying his head into Maxie's shoulder. "Baaaaaabe... please? It's Halloween.. I promise I'll hold ye the whole time. Please???"

"Archie-"

"Please?" Then he brings out the famous puppy eyes. "I know this movie is gonna be a little more... gory... but I promise I won't get distracted.. Really."

Arms crossed, letting out the longest sigh, Maxie looks his husband in the eyes. "O-ok. BUT! When I've had my fill, I'm done. Ok? You know that those kind of movies terrify me to no end. And I almost faint at the sight of blood."

Archie gasps happily and gives him the biggest hug.

"Awww, Max! Thank ye! I promise ye that I'll hold ye close and keep ye safe!"

This made the redhead blush a dark color of red. "D-don't make me sound like a 5 year old..." He groaned, face in his hands.

*kiss*

Archie put the movie on, then they both climbed into bed. Maxie was already holding onto him.

"I know everything that happens in this movie.. jumpscares, kills, everything. Ye can cover yer eyes when I say.. ok? Does that make ye feel a little better? *kiss*

"Y-yes... a little..."

The movie started. And this time, Archie picked Scream, which was a serial killer movie. The redhead squeaked as Archie warned him of the first jump scare.

"Shh.. it's ok, Max. I've got ye." His hands swept comfortingly on his back, soothing him. "Don't worry.. ye just let me know if ye want me to pause it. Ok?"

"M-Mmhmm..."

The movie progresses on, it wasn't long before the first murder was shown. Even after being warned, Maxie seemed even more petrified.

"A-A-Archie..."

The pirate locks eyes on him, petting his head. "Ye ok, babe? Do ye want me to pause it?"

"N-no- no.. just... j-just hold me... please..."

"Of course, sweetheart. Yer big, strong Archie will protect ye.. *kiss*"

Archie did just that, arms wrapped around him snuggling him very close to his chest.

They made it almost to the end, but Archie was getting worried about his husband. Hearing his whimpers made him feel horrible. He started to think that this was a bad idea.

"I know it's almost over.. but.. Are ye sure ye don't want me to pause it?"

"Max? Hun?"

Archie felt him wrap his arms around his waist and bury his face into his chest, silently crying. That was Archie's cue to pause the movie.

"A-Archie I-I'm- sorry- I can't- *sob* I n-need to stop." The trembling in his words worried Archie even more. "Th-there's too much blood- I'm- I'm sorry..."

"Baby... I'm... I'm so sorry..." Archie rubs his back in comfort while kissing the top of his head. "Shh shh... I've got ye.. we don't have to finish it, ok?"

"N-no I'm sorry..." Maxie cries, not letting up from his chest. "I know y-you wanted us to do this so badly... and I... I just ruined it..."

"No ye didn't, Max. *kiss* "I knew how much ye hated horror movies, yet I begged ye anyway... and that was selfish of me... c'mere.."

His fingers came under his chin and lifted his face to meet his.

"You weren't being selfish... I'm being unreasonable... I agreed to this because I knew it was Halloween and how much it meant to you.. I-it's just a movie... but here I am... acting like a complete wuss.."

Archie shut him up with a kiss.

"Mm??"

After pulling back, The Aqua leader smiles at him and brushes his hair away from his face with his fingers.

"Max... ye only agreed just to make me happy? Awww, sugar... yer not a wuss.. why didn't ye tell me when ye first got scared?"

*blush* "I-I-"

Suddenly, something fell off of the sink in the bathroom, startling Maxie even more.

"A-aaaah!"

"Shh.. it's ok, Max.. something just fell into the floor.. there's nothin' here that's gonna get ye."

He looked up at Archie with tear stained eyes. "A-are you sure? Oh, god... now I'm paranoid. This is what these movies do to me.."

"Of course I'm sure, love! I'll make sure nothin' scary ever gets ye." He pecked a kiss on his cheek. "Except of course.. the scariest monster of them all..." He pauses after that, evilly grinning at him.

At first, Maxie was confused, but after watching Archie smirk like that for a moment, his eyes widened.

"No- Archie no-"

"The tickle monster!" He growls, fingers wiggling at Maxie's ribs.

"N-Nohohohohoho!! *snort* Ahahaharchie dohohohon't!!! N-no tihihihickling plehehease!" He desperately tried to protect himself with the covers, but failed.

He grinned down at him, fingers never letting up. "Archie? Who is this Archie you speak of..?"He teased. "I'm the tickle monster! And I'm extremely hungry for yer laughter~"

"Nohohohohohoho-!!" He squirms in Archie's arms, allowing access to all of his ticklish spots. "Archihihihihihie pleheheeheeheease!!"

Archie slips his hands underneath Maxie's shirt and attacks his sides. "Coochie Coochie coo! Is somebody ticklish? Mmm, yes~ This pleases the tickle monster!"

"NOHOHOHOHO!!! *snort* ARCHIE STAHAHAHAHAP!!! PLEHEHEHEASE!! AHAHAHAHA- NOOOOO!"

The bigger man's head ducked down into Maxie's neck and brushed his beard at it while his fingers danced against his sides, relishing in the squeaks and giggles that came from it.

"N-NOHOHO-!!! NOHOHOT THAHAHAT!" He started crying tears of mirth. "AHAHARCHIE COHOHOHOME OHOHOHON!! *snrk* OH GOHOD- AHAAAA!!"

He screamed when his husband found his armpits, lightly scratching at them.

"NO NOHOHOT THEHEHEHEHERE!!! AAAAHAHAHAH- NOT THERE!!!! OH GOD THAHAHAT TIHIHIHIHICKLES!!!"

*grin* "Well, that's the point, love." He pinned him down on the bed. "Tickle tickle! Can I see me handsome hubby smile? Mm?"

"IHIHIHIHIHI AHAHAHAM SMILING!!!" He squeals, twisting in his arms as Archie attacks every tickle spot he can reach. "AAAAHAHAHAH- GEHEHET YOUR FINGERS AWAHAHAHAY- AHAHAHAH!!!!"

Archie dove in and blew a big raspberry on his stomach. "PFFFFFFFFT~ dawwww~ Yer turning red! Does that tickle, love?"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAH- OHOHOHOF COHOHOURSE IHIHIHIT DOHOHOHOES!!!!!" Maxie shouted, trying to smack him away. "NOW GEHEHEHET OHOHOFF OF MEEHEE!!"

"PFFFFFFFFFFT-"

"ARCHIE GAHAHAHAHAD DAHAHAHAHAMN IHIHIHIHIT!!! *SNORT* STOP STOPAHAHAH-"

Archie finally let up after a few more raspberries. He let Maxie sit up and cackled at him when he tried to throw a pillow at him.

"Ahaha- hey! Quit it!" He tried to grab the pillow from his hands. "The tickle monster doesn't deserve getting whacked!"

"He deserves something!!" Maxie taunted back, putting the pillow back.

"Mayyyybe some kissies?" He chuckles as he puckers his lips. "Pleeeease?"

The redhead pushes his face away with his hand.

"Aww come on, babe! Yer not mad~ One kiss for yer hubby?"

Giving in, Maxie leaned in close to Archie and kissed him. After pulling back, he slumped down in the bed.

"If you don't mind... could we watch something else? I-it's ok if you don't. I'll probably fall asleep in your lap before I get jump scared again."

Archie's lips pressed against his forehead for a sweet, comforting kiss.

"Nah, that sounds great, babe.. we can watch something else."

"A-Are you sure? I don't want to ruin tonight.."

He put an arm around his shoulder, pulling him to his chest. "Max, ye didn't ruin anything. Really. I promise that. *kiss* It's alright to be scared. I may tease ye about it, but I care about ye, and yer feelings.. I- hey... babe.."

The redhead began crying once more, he found the comfort in his husband's chest, while Archie soothingly rubbed his back.

"C'mon, baby..." His fingers sweep away the tears on his cheeks. "It's okay.."

"I-it's not that.."

"Huh? What's the matter?"

Maxie looks up at him. His hand held Archie's face, a warm smile spread to his lips.

"I'm not crying now because I'm upset... *sniffle* I'm crying tears of joy.. because I have such a perfect man right in front of me."

"Awww, Maxie..." Archie hugs him close, peppering small kisses at his cheek. "Hey.. do ye want to know something?"

"Mmmm?"

"Heh, *kiss* I love ye.."

"I love you too, my hero~"

The two of them fell asleep not too long after putting a different movie in. Archie made sure he had his arms around Maxie the whole time, ensuring him that nothing was going to get him. Well, all except the tickle monster that is!
