"C'mon, Max! It'll be fun!" Archie exclaimed, dragging his red headed husband outside. The tress around them were tinted with a beautiful shade of orange and red.

Maxie couldn't help but grin. "You do realize that we're not 10 year olds, right?" He joked, looking straight at the leaf pile in front of them.

Archie rolled his eyes at him. "Don't ye remember our first date? It was in the beginning of fall.. and I casually pushed ye into that leaf pile!" He chortled. "Ye were so mad!"

*chuckle* "Yes.. Of course I remember.. but- Aaaaah!!!"

Grinning mischievously, The taller man suddenly scooped him up in his arms.

"Wh- Archie!" He giggles, holding onto him for dear life. "What're you doing? Hahaha-! P-put me down!" He couldn't stop laughing, he knew exactly what he was about to do.

"Nope! Ye ready?" Archie laughed, getting ready to start running.

"Wait wait- Archie wait! Hold on a second-"

It was too late, Archie took off at full speed, holding the redhead, and jumped into the huge pile of leaves. Once they landed, they both kept laughing.

"You are such a dork!!" Maxie snorted.

"Ohhh come on!" Archie wraps his arms around him. "Yer laughing! That's how I know that this was a good idea~"

"I must face the facts.. that I've married the dorkiest man on the planet.." The Magma leader says, rolling his eyes.

The cold breeze hit them both, it was the evening time in Autumn, after all. Archie caught a glimpse of Maxie shivering.

"Ye probably should've brought yer jacket out here, babe."

"I-I- didn't know what we were doing! You just told me you wanted to show me something. I didn't think we were doing this!" He laughed, wrapping his arms around himself. "Brrr... I'm freezing now.."

Smiling, the Aqua leader took his jacket and put it around him, then picked him back up.

"Wh- What are you up to now?" He questioned, trying to warm himself up in his chest. "If you throw me back down in there, I'll kill you." He chuckles.

"Nah.. but I have to admit, that IS tempting..." Archie growled, jokingly dropping him about a foot down and scooping him back up before the redhead had a heart attack.

"Archie, d-don't you dare!!" The laughter in the redhead's tone of voice showed no annoyance whatsoever.

Chuckling, he lifted him back up in his strong arms and started walking back to the house, kissing Maxie's cheek. "What do ye say to a snuggle session by the fire, babe? It's getting pretty late."

"Mmm... that sounds amazing~" Maxie purred, arms coming up and wrapping around Archie's neck. "You always know what to do to make me fall more in love with you each and every day~"

"Awwww, that's sweet, babe... *kiss*" He opens the door and sets his husband down on the floor. "Hang on, I'll be right back."

After about 5 minutes, he came back with about 6 blankets in his arms.

"Dear god!" Maxie's eyes widened at the sight. "Are you that cold?" He teased.

Smiling and ignoring his question, Archie laid down every single one of them on the floor, except for one.

"Oh, honey~" He purrs, sitting down next to him and throwing the blanket over both of them. "I'm getting a little cold over here~"

"Pffft- come here, you..." He lays down against Archie's chest. "How romantic of you. *giggle* I love you.."

He pressed a kiss on top of Maxie's head. "Heh, I love ye too, hun.."

After a little while of cuddling, Archie broke the silence.

"Do ye remember everything about our first date?" He asked. "It was so long ago."

"Oh, of course. How in the world could I forget?" Maxie smiles, embracing him. "After you threw me into that leaf pile, you reached your hand out to take mine, and I just looked deep into your eyes... I was in a daze."

"Heh, well.. ye were also angry that I pushed ye in there. I sat ye down near a park bench after about 10 minutes of me apologizing and ye pushing me face away.. and we just started talking the entire day away.."

"Mmhmm~ You were so excited about this news story that came up about a family of Spheal washing up onto shore near Lilycove city.."

Archie chuckled. "And YE were going on about Courtney's Camerupt having about 5 baby Numel. Those pictures of ye holding one of em' was adorable~"

"Heh... it feels like yesterday... And we've been married for 8 years~"

"Uh huh... And I've enjoyed every single moment, Max.." He kisses his cheek once more.

"Oh, so have I. I love you to pieces... but I find at times that I have to put up with your shenanigans~" He jokes, starting to laugh when he felt Archie's eyes on him.

"Oho, is that so? So ye just 'put up with me' eh?" He said as he raised an eyebrow. He started to get that mischievous look on his face again.

Maxie was starting to get nervous. "Oh come on... y-you know that I'm just teasing~"

"Yeah... but ye know that teasing... is me job." He growls, hugging him tighter in his arms and beginning to kiss his neck. "C'mere~"

"A-Ahahahrchie!!" He giggles, trying to push his face away. "Wait- stohohohop ihihihihit!!!Ahahehehehehe!!"

"Why would I do that?" Archie smirks. "I just love givin' me husband kissies." He nuzzles his beard at his neck. "What's so funny, sweetie? Why are ye giggling so much?"

"No- Not that!" He squeaks. "Th-that tickles!!"

Those were the words that buried his grave. The words that got Archie to turn to his mischievous side.

"Ohhh~? It tickles? Well then... I should just stop... NOT. *kiss* "Mwah!!"

*SNORT* "Ahahahaharchihihihie wahahahait! Ahahahah- ihihihihit tihihihihihickles!!!! nohohohoho!!" He was completely trapped in the pirate's arms. No amount of wiggling or squirming could save him now.

"Mmmmmmmmmwah!" *nuzzle* He then slipped his cold hands into his sweater, wiggling at his sides.

"Ah- *SNORT* AHAHARCHIE!! STOP!! Your hands are freeheeheheezing!" He almost fell backwards into the floor, but Archie caught him. "D-dohohohon't!!! Ahahah- No tickling!!"

Obviously he didn't listen, he loved the sound of Maxie's laughter more than the sound of the ocean's waves.

"Coochie Coochie coo! Tickle tickle tickle!!Lemme see that adorable smile!"

"Wahahahait- wait!! Ahahah- I'm- smiling I'm smihihihiling!!" He found himself trapped between Archie and the floor, the blanket around them restricted his movement. "Plehehehehease stahahahahohohp!!!"

"Nahhhh~ Yer too cute."

"Ahahahahahahah- Archie cohohohome ohohohon!! *snort* K-knock ihihihit ohohoff!! Ahahahahaah!! Plehehehehease!!! Ihihihi'm behehehehegging you!!!!"

That just made the pirate smirk even more. "Oh, do I hear the Great Maxie begging?" He teases, smiling when he heard him squeak. "Awwww!! He squeaks too!" He poked and prodded at his ribs and sides.

"PFFFT- AHAHAAHAHAHAHEHEHEHE!!! STAHAHAHAP!!! WAIT- AHAHAH- NOT THEHERE!! PLEHAHAHAHEASE!!!" The redhead bursted into hysterical giggles when Archie began tickling his armpits.

"Hehe! Yer just the cutest, Max! I could listen to that sweet laugh all day~"

"PLEASE- AHAHAHAH- *SNORT* NAHAHAHAHOHOT THE AHAHAHAHARMPITS ARCHIE PLEHEHEHEHEHEAHAHAHAHASE!!!"

"But me hands are cold, hun!" Archie teases. "And yer so warm!"

"HAHAHAHAHAH- *SNORT* HAHAHEHEHE!!"

"Oh my gosh yer so adorable. Does that tickle, babe? Does it tickle when I do this?" He fluttered his fingers at his ribs, making the other man arch back with a cackle.

"ST-STOHOHOHOHAHAHAP!!! IHIHIHI GIVE!! IHIHIHI GIHIHIHIHIVAHAHAHAHA!!!"

He finally stopped when he saw the mirthful tears trickle down Maxie's face.

"Ahehehee.. heh.. Archie, I swehehehear..."

Arms came around him. "I'm sorry, Max. *kiss* Yer just so cute. I couldn't help it." He squeezes him in a hug. "Yer not mad at me.."

Maxie felt a blush burn his face, he tucked his head into Archie's chest. "No, I'm not. I love you too much, you dork."

"Mmmhmm~ but I'm yers~" He teasingly showed him his wedding ring. "Foreeeeever..! H-hey!" He pouted when Maxie pushes his face away. "I wasn't done kissin' ye yet!"

"No- AAAHAHAH!!" He went right back into his giggling fit when Archie pressed his lips back to the crook of his neck, peppering small kisses all along his jawline. "Not again!! Ahahahahahahaharchie!!! Q-Quit it!"

"Why in the world would I quit kissing me wonderful husband? Mmm? *kiss*" He let up a little bit, seeing that his redhead was about to start the hiccups. "I love ye."

"I love you too, silly."

"Do ye wanna head to bed? Or-"

*kiss*

"All I want to do is stay here with you."

Archie couldn't help but blush happily. "Ye've got it, babe... I don't wanna move from this spot either."

"Mmmm..."

Following those words, they both started to feel sleepy, they laid down in the floor, snuggled up together as the fire beside them glistened. It didn't take long for them to fully fall asleep in each other's arms. Both of their Mightyena saw them and cuddled up next to them. And as the evening pressed on, they found themselves there in the same spot all-night.
