07; First Time

Many minutes later, Dean opened the motel door and pushed it open. He looked back at Mackenzie and motioned for her to enter the room first.

She took a few steps into the room and glanced around the small room. It looked a lot like the kind she had been staying in all her life, except this room had a small kitchen area off to the side and one queen size bed.

"So this is it." Dean walked in behind her and shut the door. "I know it's not much."

"Actually it looks like my motel room, only I don't have a neat little kitchen." She smiled as she walked over to the small kitchen counter.

"Usually I don't have one either, but this was all they had. Too bad I don't know how to cook," he joked, which wasn't completely true. He could make a few things and could probably cook more if he had time to learn.

"Don't feel bad, I can't cook either." She paused for a moment. "Unless you count pouring cereal or heating up cans of SpaghettiOs cooking."

"I can do that too." He laughed. That was two of the few things he could make after doing it for years for Sam.

"Thank God for fast food, right?" she joked.

Dean nodded his head in agreement, then paused to glance around the room for a moment. "So...um...I only have the one bed, so why don't you take it and I'll sleep on the floor."

"What? That's crazy. I'm already intruding so there's no way I'm taking your bed from you." She walked toward him.

"It's okay. Besides I'm not letting you sleep on this hard floor."

"I'm not letting you sleep on the hard floor." She stubbornly folded her arms across her chest.

"Okay how about this, we both sleep in the bed?"

"Okay, but don't think this means you're getting any," she joked as she sat her over-sized shoulder bag on the bed.

Dean laughed as she began to dig around in her purse. He wasn't about to admit that he had thought about sleeping with her- it was something that briefly crossed his mind after seeing her hips swaying while she was dancing on the bar. He wouldn't push her to do anything or take advantage of her while she was drunk though. That wasn't the way he wanted it to happen.

Clearing his throat, he took a step toward her. "What are you doing?"

"Sometimes I keep extra clothes in here, so I was looking to see if I have any." After brushing a few things aside, she sighed. "But, of course, this time I don't."

"Here you can sleep in this." He picked up a dark blue t-shirt of his from his bag and tossed it to her.

"Thanks." She let go of her bag to catch the shirt, causing the bag to fall onto the bed and her treasured teddy bear to fall out.

"What is that?" He picked up the small brown teddy bear.

"That's mine!" She walked around the bed toward him to reach out for the bear.

"You carry around a teddy bear? Why?" he teased while holding the bear over her head where she couldn't grab it.

"Give it back!" She tried to reach up to grab it from his hands.

Dean kept it over her head, teasing her any time she would reach for it by raising it higher out of her reach.

"Dean, seriously, please give it back," she pleaded with him.

He looked into her pain-filled eyes and instantly felt guilty. He could tell it was more than just a teddy bear to her. "I'm sorry, I was just joking around," he said sincerely as he lowered the bear and placed it in her hands.

"I know, it's just this bear is really important to me." She held it close to her chest.

"Why? What's the story behind it?"

She lightly chuckled. "You'll probably think it's stupid."

"I doubt it." He sat down on the edge of the bed, then reached out and grabbed one of her hands. "Tell me."

Mackenzie sat down beside him and took a deep breath. "The night my mom and sister died, it was my second birthday and this was my birthday present."

"Oh," was all he could think to say as he waited for her to continue.

"Mom was going to go lay my sister down for a nap while Dad was going to grab my present from the car. I had been waiting all day to open my presents and Mom was going to make my favorite meal back then, chicken nuggets and french fries, and we were just going to celebrate, you know? But we never got to do that," she quietly said.

"After the fire, we left town. Dad would drive for hours at a time, just staring straight ahead at the road, not saying a word, I think he was still in shock. I guess he thought the further away he got from the house, the less it would hurt or something."

Feeling a lone tear fall down her cheek, she reached up to swipe it away. "One day while we were driving, I saw a small wrapped box in the backseat. I honestly forgot about my present, but I was curious so I grabbed the box and inside was this teddy bear."

Looking down at the plush toy, she ran a finger over the old worn fur- that was somehow still soft after all these years. "It even had a small card that came with it that said...Happy Birthday, Love Mom, Dad and Quinny."

She lifted her head to look at him. "I know it might be stupid to keep, but it just reminds me of my old life, you know? Back when I had a family, back when things were normal, back when I was loved."

"I find it hard to believe that you're not loved." He placed a hand on her cheek and lightly stroked it.

Mackenzie leaned against his hand, craving that bit of intimacy from him. "If you knew my dad, then you would believe it."

"He hasn't hurt you or anything has he?" he asked feeling angry at the thought of someone being mean to the beautiful woman sitting beside him.

"No, he hasn't hurt me. That would require him to actually pay attention to me," she said bitterly. "He just doesn't talk to me, unless it has to do with research, training or whatever case we're working on."

"I'm sorry," he softly said as he looked into her eyes.

She gave him a small smile, then blew out a breath. "So, yeah that's the story of the bear. Like I said I know it's stupid-"

"It's not stupid," he interrupted. "And believe it or not I understand what you're saying."

"You do?" She lowered her eyebrows.

"Yeah, here, let me show you something." He reached behind him and took his wallet out of the back pocket. He opened it and removed a small blue piece of paper with a big 50 on the front.

"Is this monopoly money?" She lowered her head to look at the fake money when he laid it in her hand.

"Yep."

"Why do you have monopoly money in your wallet?" She raised her head to look at him, a confused look on her face.

"The night my mom died, she brought out monopoly and tried to teach me how to play it. I didn't know what I was doing but it was fun, you know? Just spending time with my mom, so afterward I stuck that in the pocket of my pajamas before all hell broke loose," he explained. "I forgot all about it until days later when I came across it, so I just kept it. To remind me of my mom and all."

"I think that's sweet." She smiled.

"Yeah, well, like I said, I understand." He cleared his throat and slipped the wallet back into his pocket, then leaned forward to rest his arms on the top of his legs. "I've never told anyone, not Dad, not Sam or anyone."

"I've never told anyone about the bear either," she said, understanding what he meant. "It's like my own private secret."

"Exactly." He smiled.

Mackenzie looked at Dean and smiled back. Her eyes flickered between his eyes and lips a few times, before leaning forward to press her lips against his. She was normally not so forward but it was just something about Dean, he made her feel something she had never felt before; beautiful, special and she even felt loved.

As much as he hated to, he broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers. "Maybe we should just get some sleep," he softly said as he brushed some hair from her face before caressing her cheek.

"Right, sorry," she whispered, then stood up from the bed and took a few steps away from him- her face turning a light shade of pink. She should have known she couldn't get away with doing things like that. She wasn't the sexy and seductive type- she couldn't just throw herself at a guy.

Dean watched as she kept her back toward him while she removed her shoes, then grabbed the t-shirt to go to the bathroom to change. He could tell she felt rejected and he didn't want to give her the wrong idea- the truth was he wanted her. He had felt a spark ever since he first kissed her ten years ago.

"It's not that I don't want to, Kenzie." He stood up from the bed. "It's just that you've been drinking and I don't want to take advantage of you." He hoped she would understand. She had no idea how hard it was for him not to take things further just now.

"It's okay." She turned around to look at him with a small smile on her face. Feeling a bit brave, she added, "But just so you know, you wouldn't be taking advantage of me."

"Really?" he asked surprised as he instinctively took a step toward her.

"Really." She moved to close the gap between them.

"Well in that case...come here," he whispered, then laid his hands on either side of her face to pull her toward him for a passionate kiss.

The shirt fell from her hands before she placed her hands on his shoulders and felt him slide a hand to the back of her head when the kiss began to heat up. Since she wasn't that experienced she let him take the lead and just tried to keep up with the pace he had set.

She softly moaned when he lightly bit her bottom lip before moving his lips over to her jaw. He left light kisses whenever his lips touched as he worked down to the side of her neck- giving the soft skin a light nibble.

With her breathing labored, she removed her hands from his shoulders to slip the vest off. She heard it hit the floor, then wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers going into his hair to pull his face closer when the nibbles turned into gentle bites and licks.

He slid his hands down her sides, then wrapped them around her waist to pull her closer to his body before moving his lips back up to her swollen ones. She gasped and raised her eyebrows in surprise when she felt how turned on he was.

"Everything okay?" He pulled back to look at her.

"Yes, everything is perfect." She smiled, then leaned forward to kiss him again.

He grabbed the bottom of her tank top, then broke the kiss long enough to raise it up over her head to remove it. He tossed the shirt aside, then wrapped his arms around her bare waist to pull her closer to him again. He laid his hands on her back, running his fingers across her skin and quickly realized he couldn't get enough of her smooth silky skin.

Moving a hand up her back, he unclipped her bra, then grabbed one of the straps- slowly pushing it off of her shoulder. He leaned down to press his lips against her bare shoulder, tasting her skin as he left open mouth kisses across her shoulder and over toward the side of her neck.

Pulling the bra completely off, he pulled back to look at her, his eyes roaming from her chest back up to her eyes. "God, you're beautiful," he softly whispered.

"You're not so bad yourself," she lamely said back, unsure what she was supposed to say in moments like this- it was all new to her. Following his lead, she reached down to grabbed the bottom of his t-shirt and pulled it over his head before tossing it aside.

Dean smiled at her and unbuttoned the blue jean skirt she was wearing. He kept his eyes on her as he pulled down the zipper and slipped a hand inside- lightly rubbing his finger against her white cotton panties. As he lowered his hand, she felt her eyes flutter shut and bit her bottom lip to keep a moan from escaping her lips.

Stepping closer to her, he pressed a light kiss against her neck, before whispering in her ear, "Don't hold it in, baby. Let it go."

She nodded her head at his words, her breathing coming out in pants as he continued to touch her in a way she had never been touched before. When she felt his warm breath against her chest before his mouth was on her, she couldn't stop a loud moan from spilling out, causing him to grin against her skin.

Needing to see all of her, he slipped his other hand inside the skirt she was wearing and began to push it down, along with her panties. She used her foot to toss the skirt and panties aside, then reached forward to unbutton and unzip his blue jeans, pushing his pants and boxers down.

Dean tossed the remaining of his clothes aside, then wrapped his arms around her waist as he captured her lips again and began to move them toward the bed. When she felt her legs hit the bed she threw her arms out behind her and lowered herself onto the bed pulling Dean on top of her.

"Are you sure?" he questioned before he took things any further.

"Very sure. I want you, Dean," she whispered.

He leaned forward to softly kiss her as he slowly entered her, causing her to arch her back and bite her bottom lip to keep from crying out in pain. He looked into her eyes and realized something instantly.

"Kenz, are-are you a virgin?" he asked quietly.

"Well not anymore," she tried to joke to lighten the mood.

"And you're sure you want to do this?" he asked, wanting to be double sure before anything else happened.

"Yes, just don't stop," she moaned as she brought his face down toward hers and kissed him passionately.

He kissed her back and slowly began to move his hips, he grabbed her hands to intertwine his fingers with hers before laying their joined hands above her head. He looked at her to make sure she wasn't in any pain before he began to pick up speed, causing her to moan out his name.

Several minutes later, once they were finished, he gave her one last gentle kiss before rolling off and laying beside her in the bed. They both stared up at the ceiling and tried to catch their breath. A smile appeared on her face as she reached out to grab his hand, then laid her head on his chest.

"I didn't hurt you, did I?" he asked in concerned as he began to run his fingers through her long silky hair.

"It hurt a little, at first, then the pain went away," she answered with a wide smile on her face.

"So everything was good?"

"Everything was great," she breathed out. No matter how hard she tried, she could not stop smiling.

"Good," he said with a grin of his own before he kissed the top of her head.

She quietly sighed and closed her eyes, feeling her whole body relax. She knew she was starting to feel something real for Dean, more than just a childhood crush.

The only problem was she didn't know what his feelings were- did he feel the same or was this just a passing fling for him?
