"Xiao, I'll be fine. It's just Mondstadt." (Y/n) said, trying to assure her safety to her adeptus mentor. After three more months of training her vision, the young girl packed her things and decided that she would go to the city of freedom. The young girl also discard her inazuma clothing for a Liyue styled ones. A cloak that resembling the color of her vision and a (f/c) colored Liyue dress with long flowy sleeves. Her anemo vision, dangling from the side of her head, connected to a piece of cloth to keep her hair in place.

The former Inazuma noble thought that after learning combat, she should go to Mondstadt to thank the Anemo Archon properly after granting her a vision. Xiao however, seems to be more hesistant on allowing her to travel on her own.

It was not that the Yaksha saw her incapable of protecting herself, it was because of how naive she was. Just a week ago, Xiao had to save her from a few Treasure hoarders after they successfully fooled her to think that they were just adventurers who in need of a hand.

She was too kind and was about to follow them if it wasn't for the adeptus to suddently plunge from above, knocking all the hoarders in one attack. Xiao had to decipline the young girl about following complete strangers.

"Knowing you. You would have gone to the wrong direction." Xiao grunted, crossing his arms. "It is best if I see you off myself through the borders of Liyue and Mondstadt."

"Am I really that untrustworthy?" (Y/n) knows that Xiao couldn't leave Liyue due to his contract with the Geo Archon. She also know that Xiao wouldn't take no for an answer so she sighed and nodded. There's no point of arguing with him since Xiao is quite stubborn.

It didn't take long since Xiao teleported both of them to the border. As soon as they did, The Yaksha began pestering her of What and not to do while she's in Mondstadt.

"You mortals don't live long so remember, Don't trust strangers. Especially if they wore suspicious clothings." Xiao reminded. (Y/n) only nodded, a smile visible on her face as she watch the adeptus talk. Xiao may look like he doesn't care but he really do. Over the months she had spend with him, the Yaksha had warmed up to her. No one had anticipated that Xiao would be worrying over a mortal that he always said that he wouldn't want to be near with. Ver Goldet once had told her that Xiao was only a mother hen to her alone.

"How about, I buy you some souvenirs when I get back?" (Y/n) offered. "I heard Mondstadt's specialty are Dandelion wine. Should I buy you some?"

"I do not drink alcohol." Xiao told her. "I appreciate your concern but I don't need a souvenir."

The Yaksha's cheek was then tinted pink, looking away as he continues. "But I do want to see you come back, uninjured or hurt. You still need to be inshape to continue training."

(Y/n) grinned and nodded, before walking away. As she was getting further from Liyue, she look back to see Xiao still there, making sure she was alright. She waved him goodbye before disappearing from his view.

Now in the borders of Mondstadt, (Y/n) could see how beautiful the area was. Unlike Liyue, Mondstadt wasn't surrounded by mountains. Flowers grew and swayed as the wind pass by the plains. Pieces of Dandelion flew with the wind, making (Y/n) stop to feel the breeze.

The feeling of the wind through her skin, was quite refreshing yet it feels uneasy. (Y/n) opened her eyes and looked around. 'What was that?...'

It felt like the wind was warning her of something. The young girl somehow felt like due to the access of controlling the wind through her vision, she was able to feel the sudden shift in the air.

A whirling sound broke her thoughts, looking at the source, her eyes widened. There was a walking ruin guard in the distance, heading towards where she was.

'This is bad...' (Y/n) thought before sprinting off. But her sudden movements alerted the machine, spotting her in an instance. The young girl quickly summoned her polearm, and went into a defensive stance.

She kept in mind all the things, Xiao had taught her. She must not hesistate to engage in combat as soon as hostility was visible in the enemy. She had to defend herself, (Y/n) did promised Xiao that she will come back with no scratches visible in her skin. And she would never break her promises.

But before she could land an attack, a body suddenly came down rolling infront of her from the hills beside her.

"Oh shoot! I didn't expect myself to trip and fall down the hill!" The stranger said, quickly standing up, making his ash gray hair bounce. As he was patting away dirt from his body, he then noticed that (Y/n) was staring at him, her eyes wide as she held tightly her polearm with both hands. "A-a gi-girl?!"

The young man could see how her pupils then moved to look behind him. A huge shadow then tower over him, making him look up. He paled.

"Crap!" The ash gray haired male quickly tackled (Y/n), sending both of them into the grass, just as the Ruin Guard slammed it's metal arms into the ground. The young man then quickly summoned his sword, determination visible in his emerald green eyes. Without sparing a glance, he assured (Y/n). "Don't worry, Miss! Benny's adventure team will clear this up!"

(Y/n) blinked and watched in amazement as the male's blade engulped into flames. Attacking the iron giant head on, causing an explosion. The young girl quickly sheild herself up with her arms as flames flew around her, causing the grass to caught on fire.

But unfortunately, the male's attack not only made the Ruin Guard fall back but also send himself flying.

(Y/n) gasped as the male harshly landed on his back, groaning in pain. She then picked up her polearm and glared at the machine which was slowly standing back up. She didn't want the young man to deal with it alone nor she didn't want to watch back and wait to be saved. She's not the same damsel in distress that she was once, a few months ago.

The power of anemo began swirling around her, slowly building up to the tip of her polearm. Using the technique, Xiao had taught her, she dashed forward, allowing the wind to send her up into the air and plunging downward, skillfully impaling the iron giant's only eye. Immobilizing it.

The young man stare at her in amazement, but flinched when (Y/n) look to his direction, gesturing to the malfuctioning machine. "Quickly! Use your pyro attack to completely destroy it!"

'How did she-' He shook his head, she probably knew that he was a vision holder from the moment he used his flames. Quickly standing up, the young man charged, using the same move he had used from before. (Y/n) did the same, both combining their vision's powers, creating a even more bigger and powerful fiery attack.

In the distance, one could see a fiery whirlwind of fire, dancing and swirling so beautiful and brightly in the air before dispersing into small embers.

The two panted, lowering their guard once they saw the charred and broken pieces of what was left from the Ruin Guard. (Y/n) sighed in relief and almost jump in fright as the young man besides her cheered.

"Woah! That was amazing! I never know such combo attack exists!" Adoration and astonishment was visible on his grinning face as he look back to the mysterious girl he encountered. "You fight so well too! We took down the Ruin Guard with just one attack!"

"I think it's three attacks... You attacked first then I was second. Lastly we combined our visions afterwards." (Y/n) told him, making him halt back to think about it.

"Yeah, you're right. But that doesn't matter. I didn't get hurt that badly this time!" He smiled, feeling so happy and contented. (Y/n) could feel a small smile forming on her face. He look so innocent and pure, his smile warms up her heart. "By the way, my name is Bennett. Leader of Benny's Adventure Team."

"I'm (L/n) (Y/n). Nice to meet you, Bennett." (Y/n) gave him a sweet smile. A small blush formed on the male's face as he then rubbed his nape, sheepishly.

(Y/n) decided to follow the boy after their introduction. Learning that he was a resident in Mondstadt, she asked if he could show her around the city if he can. Bennett was happy enough to be her tour guide, only if he finish his commissions.

"So you do commissions for the adventurer's guild?" (Y/n) asked, curiosity visible in her tone. She decided to help Bennett out, since she really want to get to know him more. Bennett was pretty much kind to her, already doing her a favor by showing her around Mondstadt. All atleast she could do is be friends with him.

"It's basically how I could get paid." Bennett told her. He was really patient with her, happily answering all of her endless question without any hesistation. "I do four, everyday. Katherine is pretty generous with her rewards too."

"Adventurer's Guild? Do that means you get to explore different places all the time?!" (Y/n) suddenly exclaimed, causing Bennett to flinch at her volume. He laughed, seeing how adorable she look.

"That's what being an adventurer is all about!" Bennett proudly answered. "Me and my team, we get to go to different ruins around Mondstadt."

"So you have a team? Then why are you alone..." (Y/n) paused, thinking deeply when she saw the ash gray haired male flinched and looked away. She could feel the sudden shift in the wind, it was tense. She felt guilty for somehow triggering a sensitive topic. "Oh...um...Forget that I asked..."

"It's fine... Actually, they're currently leave... But they'll be back!" Bennett suddenly grinned. Somehow, (Y/n) could see through him. His eyes tell it all. "Until then, I'll continue to go on expeditions. So they won't think that their leader suddenly became lazy while they're gone. I have to show them that I'm a good role model."

(Y/n) won't be fooled. Xiao not just taught her how to wield her weapon and vision, but he also taught her to be observant. The Yaksha know how easily she could be decieved, so he taught her to read emotions hidden through fake masks. The eyes are the windows of the soul, looking through them, she could see how they truly feel. And since her element is anemo, she learned how to feel the atmosphere visible in the wind, allowing her to be able to read the mood around her.

Even though, she couldn't read Xiao's emotions nor the atmosphere around him. She can't beat the adeptus who mastered how to control their emotions through out the centuries after all.

Bennett however, is someone who she could easily read. He was one who keeps looking on the bright side despite the hardship and negativity thrown at him, somehow, she grew to admire him because of it.

"Hey, Bennett?" (Y/n) called out as she watch him finish up his commission which involved a few hilichurls kicking agressively towards a man in adventurer's clothings who was fearfully lying on the ground, shielding himself. Bennett, being the sweetheart he is, didn't waste any time and saved him. Confused emerald green met with determined (e/c). "I'm rather interested in the Adventurer's Guild. Is there some requirements to join?"

"You want to join the adventurer's guild?" Bennett asked, a huge smile began forming on his lips. "That would be awesome! Let's ask Katherine then. She's the receptionist of the guild."

It didn't take long for Bennett to lead her to Mondstadt, with Bennett explaining to the guarding knights about her situation, they allowed her to enter which then leads the two into standing infront of Mondstadt Adventurer's Guild Receiptionist, Katherine.

"Welcome back, Bennett. It seems that you finished today's commissions, without any fatal injuries. Here's your reward." The woman behind the counter then handed Bennett a bag of mora, before her gaze meeting (Y/n)'s. Her eyes sharpened, observing the young girl before glancing at the shining vision dangling from her headband. "Oh. This is a new face."

"This is (Y/n), she wanted to join the Adventurer's Guild." Bennett pointed.

"I see. And I do say that I can see the hidden potential in you." Katherine smiled. "Then I will register you now as an official adventurer. Please allow me to officially welcome you, our new avid adventurer, into the Guild."

"Wait, that's it?!" (Y/n) glanced at Katherine then at Bennett in total shock. "I thought there are going to be some trials or something."

"Do not worry, the adventurer's guild do not require any specific trials or charge any membership fees to those who wish to join." Katherine assured her. "Here is your Adventurer handbook. Perhaps Bennett, could show you the ropes of what being an adventurer is all about."

"You can count on me!" Bennett grinned, grabbing the girl's arm. "Come on, your officially an adventurer now."

As Bennett had said. He did show (Y/n) around Mondstadt. From the tavern known as Angel Share to the famous building that the people called, The Knights of Favonious Headquarters. Not only that, he treated her a meal at Good Hunter's.

The next day, he also decided to help her on completing her first commission, a hilichurl tribe was causing trouble on the path near the woods of Wolvendom.

As soon as the two arrived near the area, Bennett suddenly stopped her. "We need to wait for just a bit."

"Huh? Why?" (Y/n) tilted her head in confusion. "But the hilichurls are right there."

"I know but a friend of mine will be joining us." Bennett rubbed his nape, thinking of what he will say. "After I gave you a tour, I sorta told him about you when I met him yesterday. He seems want to meet you." He noticed a figure emerging from the bushes, approaching them. "He's just in time too."

(Y/n) was a little nervous as the figure began coming closer. It was a male, who's probably near her age, long gray hair and red eyes, he also has a noticible scar on his cheek. For (Y/n), he looks a little intimidating, but she didn't want to judge after all, he's Bennett's friend.

"Hey Razor!" Bennett grinned, waving happily at his approaching friend, once Razor was infront of them, The ash gray haired male place a hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder, introducing each other. "This is, (Y/n). The one I've been talking about yesterday. And (Y/n), this is my friend, Razor."

"Nice to meet you, Razor." (Y/n) politely bowed, both boys looked at her weirdly. She quickly stood straight up again and stammered. "O-oh, sorry! Old habits."

"You smell....nice.... Like a flower." Razor sniffed the air. It was (Y/n)'s turn to stare at him weirdly.

"Please excuse Razor. He's still trying to learn about human nature." Bennett scratched his cheek. "You see... He was raised by wolves."

"Woah!" (Y/n) looked at the grey haired male with awe.

"I am here....to help." Razor told her, then gesturing to the claymore that he was holding. "Your first errand...I am skilled with Steelclaw.... I will make sure you are safe."

"Thank you so much." (Y/n) gave the two a sweet smile. Both of the males' eyes widened at this. Bennett began avoiding eye contact, rubbing his nape, his cheeks coated a light hue of pink. Razor was the same, but he was a little confused yet he was a little flustered himself.

"Anyways!" Bennett suddenly said. "Shouldn't we start now? The more we stall, the more problems those Hilichurls could cause for those people passing by."

"Right!" (Y/n) summoned her polearm and nodded. And with this, the three began running towards the camp.

It was quite an open field, no where to hide or to start an ambush. The only way they could defeat the monsters is by facing them head on. The patrolling Hilichurls of the area noticed them right away and shouted a, "Yaya!" Alerting every Hilichurls on the camp, along with the lone Mitachurl who brought out it's wooden shieldwall.

Razor charged in first, purple lightning coating his claymore as he swung his claymore towards the nearest monster holding a club. He stepped back, using the handle of his blade to knock back the hilichurl from behind him and swung, lighting stricking the monsters, successfully dispersing them into particles.

(Y/n) quickly lifted herself up high in the air with anemo, before plunging down, stricking the Pyro Hilichurl Shooter on top of it's post. After she successfully stabbed it, she used the opportunity to plunge down again on the unsuspecting Hilichurl on the ground below her. Suddenly it started raining to where she was, looking for the source she sees a chanting hydro Samachurl. Running towards it, she began stricking it with her polearm.

Bennett channels his pyro to his sword before swiftly striking the hilichurl infront of him. Unfortunately his badluck seems to have activated again, for a shadow loomed over his figure. He let out a grunt when the Mitachurl rammed it's shield on him, sending him flying. His back hitting the poorly made fences of the camp.

"Bennett!" (Y/n)'s scream reached Razor's sensitive ears, who was currently blocking a hilichurl's club with his blade. His red eyes widened as he quickly turned around to see (Y/n) coating her polearm with Anemo, striking the Mitachurl in a fit of range. Bennett was right behind her, slowly standing up.

It then, he finally let his inner wolf, with a loud roar, A Electro like wolf appeared from behind. Razor quickly hit the hilichurl with his blade, the wolf behind him used it's claws just as Razor stricked his blade. He began joining in the battle with the Mitachurl.

"Bennett, Are you alright?!" (Y/n) asked as Bennett, drew his flaming sword once again. "Can you still go on?"

"It'll take more than a hit from a Mitachurl to stop me." Bennett wiped the blood from the corner of his lips, a grin visible on his face, as he assured the girl. "Why don't we try that combo move like from before?"

With a look of hesistation, (Y/n) finally nodded. Both began channelling their respective elements and charged in. Razor quickly back away as soon as he saw the two.

The whirlwind of fire began swirling around the mitachurl, but unlike the previous one, there was some bits of lighting combining with the flames due to the electro effect that the mitachurl received from Razor's rapid electro claws.

But unlike before, rather than just disappearing, the whirwind of Fire and Lighting exploded, sending the three who were nearby flying and tumbling away from the area. They quickly stood up, and stared at the spot. where the mitachurl was. All was left was the charred grass. The camp was also destroyed from the explosion.

"That was...." Bennett eyes was wide in shock and awe.

"Amazing..." (Y/n) finished, a visible grin on her face.

"Explosion...It was big..." Razor shook his head, trying to get rid of the ashes on his hair. He was in a daze.

"Our combo attack just got even better!" Bennett raised his fist in the air, before laying his back on the ground, staring at the sky. "Man! I never thought that I could do that with anyone! It was so awesome!"

"Me neither." (Y/n) smiled, staring at the boy. Her hands in her satchel, petting the frightened Netsu inside. The poor slime was awakened by the sudden explosion. "But that was really fun. It gave us an advantage. We destroyed the camp too."

But her eyes darkened alittle. "But Bennett, I noticed something. You keep getting injured no matter what the situation is."

She kept quiet about it. It was no coincidence. When she faced the Ruin Guard, Bennett just came out of nowhere, tumbling down as if he tripped. During the fight, he got injured too. And now, Bennett just got injured by the Mitachurl's sudden attack.

She observed him during his yesterday commissions too. She may have just watched, but she saw how much Bennett got injured. He kept stumbling around, got hit by Hilichurls' clubs and got chased by dendro slimes after he accidentally stepped on one. It was as if the ash gray haired male was prone to disasters.

"Uhh...About that...." Bennett let out a nervous laugh. "It's because of my terrible bad luck."

"Bad luck?" (Y/n) tilt her head. Razor was quiet, only listening to their conversation as he picked the grass. "People have their bad days..."

"No it's not like that. I was born with terrible luck." Bennett started. "How do I say this... All the time, whenever I go out adventuring, It's always raining. I always get hit by lighting too and whenever I say something good, it's bound to turn the opposite."

"But after I met you yesterday, somehow my badluck wasn't that bad like it usually does." Bennet turn to (Y/n) and grinned. "I was with you during commission and I didn't get that much injuries, it was as if it's my lucky day."

"You mean, you get hurt alot when you explore?" (Y/n) had a sad look on her face. "And you never tried to say anything about it. What do your teammates say about this?"

"Ah. They get involved in my badluck too. I always do things for them so they won't have to get involved but they always do, no matter what I do." He sighed then grasp his vision that was attached to his bag. "But having my vision means that the gods haven't given up on me. That's why I grew to accept my terrible luck, no matter what happens, I'll face my problems head on!"

(Y/n) watched as Bennett's eyes grew determined, he was so positive despite having to face hardship so many times. Razor leaned in, whispering for only (Y/n) to hear.

"I heard.... His lupicals left him... But, Bennett is kind...so I keep watch for him..."

Razor's statement somehow set fire inside (Y/n). So Bennett's teammates left him, this made her fume. Bennett was nothing but a sweet and lovable young man. He was kind, helpful, hardworking and so positive.

And so she finally made up her mind.

"Say Bennett... Razor is apart of Benny's Adventurer Team right?" (Y/n) asked.

"Razor? Well, he often tag along during my commissions and adventures..." Bennett began to think, looking at Razor who was staring at him with confusion. "He'll be part of the team if he wants to..."

"Team..." Razor thought about it and nodded.

"Yep. He's in the team." Bennett grinned.

"Then, I wish to join in too!" (Y/n) declared, determination flaring through her eyes making Bennett back away.

"Wait...Really?! You're not joining in because you pity me or something, right?" Bennett asked.

"Ofcourse not! I really want to join." (Y/n) insisted. "You're a good person, Bennett. You've helped me without wanting anything in return and I'm a complete stranger to you. Atleast let me be apart of your team, I really want to be friends with you."

Bennett's eyes widened. He don't have that much friends other than Razor and the strange girl in the adventurer's guild. It gave him butterflies when (Y/n) said she wants to be friends with him. He always wanted more friends he could have fun with.

"Then...Who am I to reject a good potential team member." Bennett grinned, though if one look closer, they could see small tears gathering on the corner of his eyes.

It look like his adventure team is expanding.

She had been looking out for me since the moment we met, so I couldn't help but think that how did I got this lucky just by meeting her? My bad luck seems to have vanished everytime I go out adveturing with her, Is she really what people call a good luck charm?
Hmmm.... I need to thank her! What would she like? a bouquet of Whirlwind Aster? A meal at Good Hunter's? Why can't I think of anything?!"
