Miss Jenn quickly logged into her computer and connected to the group skype that she made for the cast as they went on Spring Break.
"Oh. Hello, Nini!" Miss Jenn said, loudly as the brunette girl was the first to log onto the group call. "Can you hear me?"
"All the way from outer space, yes." Nini said, letting out a chuckle as she spoke in her normal voice, "Hi, Miss Jenn."
"So thankful for technology in these dark times." Miss Jenn said, speaking normally as she quickly got rid of her background.
"You mean spring break?" Nini asked with a big smile.
"Yes, of course I do." Miss Jenn admitted, letting out a breath. "The Menkies are right around the corner, and now we have to split up the troop for a whole week. It is tragic. How's your break so far?"
"I'm okay. I've decided to fully focus on my music channel this week." Nini explained. "I just suddenly have a lot of free space in my brain."
"Hola, madrina. Hola, Nini." Carlos said, entering the call, smiling at the two as Seb entered not too long after.
"Hi, kids. Are you spending the break apart?" Miss Jenn asked, noticing the two very different backgrounds.
"I did invite him to a four-star resort with my family in Los Cabos." Carlos explained.
"And I told him Milky White was nearing birth." Seb explained. "Cows don't stop having babies just because school let out."
"Yet somehow, you're having a cow about me not staying in Salt Lake, so..." Carlos said, dragging out his sentence.
"What's up?!" Ashlyn and EJ yelled as their faces appeared on the screen, causing the others to chuckle before EJ went back to his own computer.
"Sorry. Our parents all went to Park City together and left us to watch the house." Ashlyn explained. "We've been streaming old movies."
"Yeah. Watched Scary Movie last night. Ah. What a classic." EJ said as the three teens gave confused looks.
"Never heard of it." Seb said, shaking his head.
"Old?" Miss Jenn questioned.
"You guys are watching like, old, old movies." Nini said, putting an emphasis on the word old.
"Well, I wanted to tell you guys..." Miss Jenn started but was cut off as Kourtney joined the call.
"Sorry we're late. Emergency in the kitchen." Kourtney apologized.
"What's up?!" Big Red said, entering the call, causing the teens to chuckle.
"This is why we're soulmates." Ashlyn said.
"Yeah. Okay, folks. Let's focus." Miss Jenn said, clapping her hands. "Now that we're all here. Wait. No, where..."
"Hey, everyone!" Gina said, waving her hand at the screen as she walked away from the screen, letting the entire group see the brunette girl waving in the seat behind her as she took the seat beside her. "We're here. We're here."
"Sorry, we couldn't find an outlet. My computer wouldn't connect and our flight's got delayed." Soul explained to the group as Gina looked around the airport. "Apparently both plans have mechanical issues, so... that's fun."
"Oh dear! Are you both safe?" Miss Jenn asked, worriedly as her eyes widened.
"I spent my childhood in airports." Gina explained.
"And I am no damsel in distress." Soul said, shaking her head. "Besides, we are keeping each other company."
"Okay. Looks like we are just missing Ricky." Miss Jenn said, looking over all the teen faces, noticing the leading man missing. "Nini, have you heard from him?"
All the teens went quiet as Nini struggled to find her words.
"Uh, I think Ricky is taking some alone time or mom time or both." Big Red explained. "He's in Chicago."
"Okay, I'm sure you're wondering why I've gathered you all here." Miss Jenn said. "Opening night is only three weeks away, folks. That means we need to stay focused and I know I can't... Won't make you work over the break. But I needed to remind you, face-to-face, stakes are high. Please, for the love of theater, do not take the word 'break' literally. Be safe. Okay, well, have fun. Stay in touch and now you have this link, so hop on anytime. I'm basically the twin of modern technology, so..."
Everyone quickly said their goodbyes, waving at each other as they all quickly logged off, leaving the teacher alone.
"Bye." Miss Jenn said, slowly, looking at her blank screen.
...
"Hey." Gina said, causing Soul to quickly look up from her phone, looking over at her with a raised eyebrow. "I'll be right back. I'm going to go talk to that worker."
"K." Soul said, nodding her head as her curly haired friend stood from her seat, making her way over to the desk as Soul went back to looking at her phone as her phone bagan ringing as she was getting a facetime.
"Hey, EJ." Soul said, smiling at the screen as the boy popped onto her screen.
"Hey! How's the spring break of doom?" EJ asked.
"You know it would be better if I wasn't stuck here in the airport." Soul explained, showing the boy her location as she sat in the airport, surrounded by her and Gina's things.
"Come on. They haven't built an airport that can contain you." EJ said, causing the girl to chuckle.
"Ask her the question!" Ashyln's voice was heard on the other side, causing Soul to perk up ever more.
"Is that Ash?" Soul asked, causing the boy to nod as a smile grew on the girl's face. "So what does she want you to ask me?"
"Okay, my cousin wants to paint my nails as a spring break project." EJ explained. "I said I need a second opinion."
"Of course it's a yes from me. Go for it." Soul said, nodding her head.
"I told you." Ashlyn said, causing Soul to chuckle as she placed her head on her legs.
"All right, well, two votes against one." EJ said.
"I vote for a baby blue. It'll bring out your eyes." Soul said, causing the boy's smile to grow.
"Yeah, okay." EJ said, nodding his head.
"You guys are too cute, it makes me sick." Ashlyn said, causing both of them to laugh.
"Well go do your makeovers. I need to help Gina figure out our plane situations." Soul explained, noticing the curly haired girl walking away from the service table in defeat as she quickly looked back to her phone. "Wish me luck.."
"You're Soul Walker, you don't need luck." EJ said, sending the girl a smile, causing her to smile back as she hid her face in her legs. "Alright, see ya."
"Bye." Soul said, setting down her phone after pressing the end call button, wrapping her arms around her legs..
"Was that the boyfriend?" Gina jokingly asked, taking the seat next to the girl.
"I already told you we aren't dating." Soul said, turning to look at her best friend.
"You guys just confessed your love for one another." Gina said, smiling brightly at the girl. "That's basically the same thing."
"I guess I'm just waiting for a sign or something that tells me he wants to be in a relationship." Soul explained, shrugging her shoulders. "I mean the last person he talked about in a dating way only lasted a day and that person being my sister."
The two girls' attention turned to a boy in a striped teal and purple shirt as he yelled, dancing in front of his phone, causing them to turn to each other, lightly laughing.
...
Gina was typing away on her phone while Soul had on her headphones with one side over one ear as the other was off, Beauty and the Beast script in hand.
"The trick is to cry if you're trying to sweet talk a gate agent." A new voice said, causing Soul to look up, seeing the boy in the stripe shirt standing in front of them.
"Excuse me?" Gina asked, putting her phone down, looking up at the boy.
"The French girl routine earlier? It was ultimately a failure, but it was entertaining, nonetheless." He said.
"Kinda like your attempt at that dance?" Soul asked sarcastically, causing the boy to look over at her, causing him to lift his eyebrows.
"Yeah, we saw you, too." Gina said, smirking at the boy. "Entertaining, yet ultimately a failure."
"Have we met?" he asked, looking at Gina, causing Soul to look between the two. "'Cause you look super familiar."
"Yeah, I have one of those faces." Gina answered, nodding her head, causing Soul to chuckle.
"So, you're not from Paris. You're witty, you both can allegedly dance better than me. You're stuck at the airport, same as me. I won't be making it to Miami anytime soon." he said, both girls sitting in silence. "Okay. We got off on the wrong foot. I'm Jack. I didn't mean to offend you. Either of you, girls-with-no-names... Okay. I'll take the hint."
Jack turned around to walk away, causing Soul to nudge the girl beside her, nodding her head towards the boy.
"Gina." Gina said, causing the boy to stop in his tracks. "Porter and this is Souline."
Soul. Walker." Soul said, sending the boy a smile as he turned back towards them. "No one calls me Souline besides my grandparents or my mom when she's upset."
"Okay. Gina Porter and Soul Walker." Jack said, walking back towards the two before taking a seat on the other side of Gina, leaving a seat between the two.
"So, is Miami home?" Soul asked, turning to face the two as she wrapped her arms around her legs, sending a friendly smile.
"Miami is spring break, if my flight ever takes off." Jack explained, causing the girl to nod.
"Shoot." Gina said, gaining both teens attention.
"What?" Jack asked, watching Gina shuffling through her bag.
"I thought I'd packed a granola bar. I did not." Gina explained, pulling out her Beauty and the Beast script. "And this is a little less delicious than you might think."
"Hey, have no fear." Jack said, pointing at himself. "Your boy Jack's got a backup plan. Follow me."
The two standing from their seats as Soul stayed where she was.
"Hey, aren't you coming?" Gina asked, looking down at her best friend.
"No you guys go ahead. I need to call my mom and tell her about the delay." Soul said, shaking her head, sending the two a smile.
"Well alright. Watch my stuff for me." Gin said, pointing at the brunette, causing the girl to nod as the boy grabbed her arm. "I'll bring you something back."
Soul chuckled, shaking her head as she watched the two walk away before she decided to pull out her phone and dial her sister's number.
"Hi. Soul!" Four faces appear on the girl's phone, causing a giant smile to appear on the girl's face.
"Hey, guys!" Soul said, smiling at her family.
"Why are you calling shouldn't you be on the plane by now?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, I should be but..." Soul said, lifting her phone up to show them her location which was the airport. "The flight got delayed."
"Why didn't you go back home?" Mom asked, concerned, looking at her daughter through the phone.
"It's fine, the worker said it shouldn't be that long." Soul said, shaking her head. "Besides, I have Gina here with me. She just ran to find something to eat."
"As long as you're safe, bug." Mom said, causing the girl to nod her head.
"I always am." Soul said, nodding her head, sending her mom a smile. "So how is Denver? Did you guys settle into the airbnb okay?"
"It's nice." Sully said, shrugging his shoulders. "There's not a lot to do here."
"That's because you came here to see my beautiful face that you missed so much." Sarah said, making a fake shocked face, causing Soul to chuckle as everyone turned to face the girl. "The house is beautiful! How's the musical going, Miss Belle?"
"It's going good, you know other than the one week shutdown." Soul said, shrugging her shoulders. "Miss Jenn is freaking out about us being away for Spring Break and we only have 3 weeks til opening night... There's just a lot."
"Hey, don't stress too much, you are going to do great sis." Sam said, sending the girl a supportive smile.
"Thanks, I appreciate that." Soul said, sending the boy a smile. "Hey, Sarah, can I talk to just you for a sec?"
"Yeah, I'll be back." Sarah said, walking away from the rest of the group, walking down the hallway and into a room, closing it behind before she jumped onto the bed, smiling at her sister. "So... what's up, buttercup?"
"So there's this guy..." Soul started, causing Sarah to quickly sit up, a smile growing on her face.
"Ooo, tell me more." Sarah said, letting out a squeal.
"He's great and we told each other that we liked each other last night." Soul said, causing Sarah to let out a loud squeal. "But he didn't ask me on a date or anything. Should I be worried?"
"Not at all, especially not when you're wearing his sweatshirt right now." Sarah said, causing the brunette to look down at the blue sweatshirt that read 'Duke', causing a blush to cover the girl's face as she looked back up at her sister.
"How did you know?" Soul asked.
"That it's not your sweatshirt or that you had a thing for EJ?" Sarah asked, causing her sister's eyes to grow wide.
"How did you know I was talking about EJ?" Soul asked.
"Soul, come on! The way you guys acted around each and the looks, I would be concerned if I didn't know." Sarah said, smiling at her sister. "Besides, he told me that he liked you."
"Wait... he did?" Soul asked, causing the blonde girl to nod. "When?"
"On our first and only date." Sarah said. "We couldn't get past the topic of you and I thought it was sweet how highly he talked about you."
"You're not mad are you?" Soul asked. "Because if you are I will step back and tell -"
"No, you will not." Sarah said, cutting her sister off, causing her to look at her. "Soul, I have never seen you so happy to be around a person in your entire life other than dad. It's very obvious that you guys have something real. Besides, those feelings are long gone and I think I only liked him because he was one of the only half decent guys in our grade.. And that time he helped me up when I fell during recess in the 6th grade but that's beside the point. I actually met this guy. He's in one of my classes and his name is Chase and he's actually kinda my boyfriend."
"Since when!" Soul exclaimed, giving the couple near her a small smile before looking back at her phone.
"Like a month ago." Sarah said, smiling from ear to ear. "It's like super new."
"Oh my gosh, Sarah! You have a boyfriend." Soul said, causing both girl's to chuckle as a ding rang from Soul's phone. "Hold on one sec."
Soul quickly clicked on the message, seeing a message from Miss Jenn to the cast in their group chat about an urgent meeting that needed to happen asap.
"An urgent meeting?" Sarah said, causing Soul to go back to her video call as she raised her eyebrow. "Just because Miss Jenn changed the group chat name from High School Musical to Beauty and the Beast doesn't make it a new group chat. Besides, I enjoy the daily reminders from Miss Jenn and the freak-outs from Carlos. It makes me feel like I'm still a part of the show."
"Well I gotta go, tell the others I said bye and I'll let you know when I'm boarding." Soul said, causing her sister to nod.
"Be safe, see you soon." Sarah said, smiling at her sister as she blew her an air kiss.
"See you soon." Soul said, sending her sister one last wave before clicking the red button, quickly pulling out her laptop, trying to connect. "Please work."
A smile grew her face as four familiar faces appeared on her screen along with her own.
"Soul!" Ashlyn and Big Red exclaimed together, waving along with Carlos and Miss Jenn, causing the girl to smile bigger as she waved at the group.
"Hi, guys!" Soul said.
"Wait where's Seb?" Ashlyn asked, aiming her question to Carlos.
"Don't ask me." Carlos said, shrugging his shoulders just as Seb's face appeared on the screen.
"Soul. Ashlyn. Big Red. Miss Jenn." Seb greeted happily, smiling from ear to ear before his smile fell and his attitude changed. "Carlos."
"Are you guys fighting?" Big Red asked, looking between the couple on his screen with his eyebrow raised.
"That means we're speaking." Seb said as EJ joined Ashlyn and Nini's face appeared. "Who has time to talk when you're busy posting selfies with random guys in a cabana?"
"What's up?" EJ greeted, causing the couple to stop their discussion as Kourtney joined.
"Wildcats, quiet!" Miss Jenn said, loudly. "I've called you all here for a very serious reason. It seems Zack Roy has yet another trick up his sleeve."
"Miss Jenn, they just dropped the video on their Instagram." Nini informed, causing the drama teacher to let out a breath.
"Are you ready?" Miss Jenn asked, causing the girl to nod. "Kids, Nini is going to share her screen, so we can all watch together."
"All right. Three, two, one." Nini said, counting down before pressing play on the video, causing everyone to see it.
"Okay, that's it! We've seen enough!" Miss Jenn said, causing Nini to quickly pause the video as everyone looked with wide mouths, shocked not knowing what to say.
"Did you just watch what I watched?" Carlos exclaimed, shocked. "That was insane."
"Yeah, everyone calm down." Miss Jenn said. "We just need a plan. If we want to beat them at their own game, we need to play by their rules. But add a twist, of course."
"What... What does that mean exactly?" Soul asked, confused looking at the drama teacher.
"Let's do something subtle, but public." Miss Jenn explained. "To show them that we're still in this to win it."
"I don't really do subtle." Carlos explained.
"But you sure do public." Seb said with a straight face.
"We're on it, Miss Jenn." Nini assured the teacher.
"Godspeed." Miss Jenn said before disconnecting from the call.
...
Soul was sitting in the airport, laptop on her lap with her earbuds in her ear as she messed with her beats when her laptop started ringing as a picture of Nini's face appeared on the screen.
"Hello, hello!" Soul greeted, excitedly as she answered, Nini and Ashlyn's faces appeared on the screen.
"Soul!" Ashlyn excitedly said, waving at the girl with a giant smile.
"Hi, Ash!" Soul said, smiling back at the girl. "Nini!"
"Soul!" Nini said, smiling just as big. "So... this whole North High thing-"
"Is beyond ridiculous." Soul said, cutting the girl off, causing the red head to nod extremely hard.
"True... but me and Ash have been working on this song;" Nini started.
"Ooo, tell me more." Soul said, shifting to get more comfortable, smiling at the girls.
"Well we were wondering if you would lend us your song writing knowledge and tell us what's missing." Ashlyn finished, causing the girl to smile.
"Yes, of course." Soul said, nodding her head causing the two girls to smile big.
"Great, we put everything we had so far into a file so Ash if you..." Nini said, dragging out the word as Ashlyn typed quickly on her computer as a notification appeared on Soul's screen.
"I just sent you the link." Ashlyn said.
Soul looked over the words as she tried humming the words to herself.
"We were thinking it would be an upbeat song. We are still trying to figure out how we want it to go and we still need to figure out a beat." Ashlyn explained.
"Something like..." Soul said, trailing off as she played the beat she was making for the two girls, causing them to smile as she started singing lyrics.

We build monuments in our sleep
Climb mountains too high to reach
There's so much more than they see on the daily
Ashlyn then came in with some of the lyrics that she wrote before the three sang the chorus together.
Strength in numbers, second to none
Come up like we're numbеr one
Recharged, and rеady to run, run, run
Roarin' louder than thunder
But you'll never see it comin', see it comin'
As long as we've got each other
Watch out, 'cause you ain't seen nothin'
Ain't seen nothin'
"Yes!" Ashlyn said, excitedly, causing the three to laugh.
"Maybe after that second chorus there could be like a post chorus followed by a bridge." Soul explained, pulling up the docs as she looked over the words again.
"Ooo, we love a spontaneous post chorus." Ashlyn said, smiling at the girl as Nini nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I like it!" Nini said.
"How about keeping it simple but catchy." Soul said. "Something like..."
yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
You ain't seen nothin', ain't seen nothin'
"Then we could squeeze the bridge in right before the music fades and then we come right back in with the chorus again." Soul explained as her phone buzzed, causing her to grab it as she read it, while Ashlyn and Nini spoke.
"Yeah, that sounds good, maybe we could add something that kinda jabs at north high." Nini explains, causing Ashlyn to nod her head aggressively in response. "Soul?"
"Sorry, that's Gina. She wants my help with the dance but that sounds great Nin. I gotta run but remember we go high not low like north high." Soul says. "Bye."
...
Some days, you've gotta take some time to breathe
Let your heart off the leash
'Cause it ain't meant to shine in one place
Remind yourself at times that time can wait
Just 'cause you take a break
Don't mean the lights are out on Broadway
We build monuments in our sleep
Climb mountains too high to reach
There's so much more than they see on the daily
Strength in numbers, second to none
Come up like we're numbеr one
Recharged, and rеady to run, run, run
Roarin' louder than thunder
But you'll never see it comin', see it comin'
As long as we've got each other
Watch out, 'cause you ain't seen nothin'
Ain't seen nothin'
No stress, ain't overdressed, we keep our cool
Playin' by our own rules
No divide, that's how we conquer
Time out don't mean we're 'bout to step aside
Just maintenance for the ride
That's gettin' better, faster, stronger
Ain't no rainin' on this parade
'Cause we're a force that's self-made
Do what we do, and we do it our way
Roarin' louder than thunder
But you'll never see it comin', see it comin'
As long as we've got each other
Watch out, 'cause you ain't seen nothin'
Ain't seen nothin'
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Ain't seen nothin', ain't seen nothin'
When they go low (they go low), we go high (we go high)
We go high
(When they go low, we go high)
(When they go low, we go high)
When they go low (they go low), we go high
We go high
(When they go low, we go high, we go high) and Oh-oh
Roarin' louder than thunder
But you'll never see it comin', see it comin'
As long as we've got each other
Watch out, 'cause you ain't seen nothin'
You ain't seen nothin'
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Ain't seen nothin' (no), ain't seen nothin' yet
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
Ain't seen nothin', ain't seen nothin' yet

Soul quickly took a picture of her luggage, posting a story about her flight being canceled, turning and making her way to two teens, watching Jack throw a plane over the ledge.
"Well..." Soul said, dragging her suitcase over to the two teens, leaning against the railing next to Gina, causing them to look over at her. "With my flight canceled my mom wants me to head home till she can find another way to get me to Denver. She doesn't like the thought of me staying in the airport."
"That's a good call." Jack said, nodding his head. "If you're gonna sleep in an airport, try Singapore."
"I've always wanted to go. My dad told me it's beautiful there." Soul said, smiling at the boy. "He said they have some of the kindest people there."
"It is. I actually made a friend there in the airport like 3 years ago, he told me to call him Howie... He's one of the most real human beings I've ever met. He actually taught me a lot about myself. He gave me this bracelet and told me that 'this is a symbol of new friendships and good energy. You can change a person's life with the littlest things and I can tell there is something happening in your life and I want you to have this to help you get through it. When your storm passes, give it to a new friend that you know needs it and will do the same after their storm passes too.'" Jack explained, with a smile on his face as messed with the beaded bracelet on his arm.
"You still haven't found anyone to give it to?" Soul asked, smiling lightly at the boy.
"No. I guess I haven't found the right person to give it to yet." Jack said, shaking his head with a small smile on his face, causing both girl's to send him a small smile.
"So... what's so good about their airports? " Soul asked. "Since apparently they are more sleepable than here."
"They actually have these recliners that, like..." Jack said, explaining with a giant smile before abruptly stopping as he looked at the stare from Gina, quickly facing forward. "Sorry. Being a nerd again."
"No. It's cute. You're cute." Gina said, smiling at the boy, causing Soul to grin. "So..."
"I'll be over there." Soul said, pointing at the seats nearby before quickly moving away from the duo.
Trying to give the duo some space she put on her headphones, typing away on her phone, responding to her missed messages as she listened to her favorite songs from her playlist.
Soul noticed a shadow standing over her, causing her to look up to see Jack standing there with a small smile, waving slightly at her.
"Hey." Soul said, smiling up at the boy, pausing her music, sliding her headphones around her neck as he took a seat beside her.
"Hey. I was about to take off but wanted to make sure I said bye." Jack said, causing the girl to send him a small smile.
"It was nice to meet you... you and Gina actually made my bad day not so bad after all." Soul said.
"Yeah, you too. By the way, thanks for the dance lessons I totally had a blast. Do you think I'll be awarded three best female dancer awards anytime soon." Jack asked, jokingly.
"It was only two and I don't think you would be able to qualify for that specific category but if you trained for the next couple years you could definitely win an award." Soul said, smiling at the boy with encouragement.
"You care too much." Jack said, shaking his head with a smile, causing Soul to look at him confused. "I've never met someone who cared so much about everyone and everything."
"I guess I just like seeing people succeed... Is that... Is it a bad thing?" Soul asked, confused.
"Not at all. I think it's a great thing." Jack said, shaking his head, causing her to smile at him. "I want to give you something."
"Ok..." Soul said, slightly nodding her head.
The boy carefully grabbed her arm, quickly sliding something onto her wrist.
"I think you are that friend who needs this." Jack said, sending her a smile, causing her to grin as she looked down at it. "Gina told me about you being nervous to be the lead in your musical and you stressing about everything else in your life even though you don't seem to be affected by anything. I want you to know that you're going to be a great Belle and that everything is going to work out in the end... even with the guy."
"Thanks, Jack." Soul said, smiling at the boy. "I promise to pass it on."
"I know you will." Jack said, smiling at the girl, standing from his seat, causing her to follow in his steps, causing him to look down at her. "Until next time my friend."
Soul quickly wrapped her arms tightly around the boy, causing him to chuckle as he wrapped his arms around the girl, hugging her back just as tight.
"I'll never forget this." Soul said, letting the boy smile up at him.
"I have no doubt in that." Jack said, sending the girl one last smile, grabbing his bag from the ground. "Ask for a seat in the back when they reschedule your flight to Denver. It's the safest place."
Before Soul had the chance to say anything, Jack turned around making his way through the airport and away from the duo.
"Your attention please Flight 723 is now boarding, please make your way to Gate 4." The voice of the worker filled the airport, causing both girl's to look at each other.
"I guess that's me." Gina said, sending the girl a small smile. "Are you going to be okay by yourself?"
"Yeah, I'll probably call an Uber and head home." Soul said, shrugging her shoulders, sending her friend a small smile. "Have a safe trip, okay."
"Thanks, Soul." Gina said, pulling her best friend into a tight hug. "Text me when you get home, okay. I don't care if I'm on the plane and don't get it until I'm off. I want to make sure you get home safe."
"I will, if you promise to text me when you land in Louisiana with your mom." Soul said, looking up at her.
"Deal." Gina said, smiling brightly, nodding as the flight attendant made the second call, causing Gina to grab her bag. "I gotta go but I'll see you soon, yeah?"
"Of course, I'll be waiting for your return." Soul said, causing Gina to grin, waving at each before Gina disappeared with the sea of people for flight 723.
Soul let out a sad sigh, grabbing her bags as she made her way to the escalator, typing away on her phone to her mom.
"Excuse me." A familiar voice said, behind the girl, causing her to quickly turn, smiling as she saw EJ. "You haven't happen to see a Duke sweatshirt anywhere have you?"
"EJ, What are you doing at the airport?" Soul asked, looking over at the boy.
"Gotta show up for your person, you know?" EJ said, quoting the word she once called him, walking down the escalator beside her.
"Yeah." Soul said, smiling at the boy as he grabbed her bag once she reached the bottom.
"So, bring you back in the morning?" EJ asked, holding out a roll of Oreos. "I also brought you your favorite in case you were hungry. Specifically a 10 pack of double stuffed."
"Thanks." Soul said, chuckling slightly, grabbing the pack as he grabbed one of her luggage's.
"Ready?" EJ asked, smiling down at the girl as he held out his hand.
"Yeah, let's go." Soul said, smiling at the boy, grabbing her other luggage, turning and grinning up at the boy as she grabbed his hand, intertwining their fingers as they made their way out of the airport.
