Everyone was gathered outside as they gathered around the cast list that was posted on one of the bulletin boards.

"Wait! You're Anna?" Soul heard as she approached her and Gina with Carlos and Ricky beside her.

"Yes, I am!" Gina said, excitedly.

"So that makes us sisters!" Kourtney said, turning to the girl, causing them to let out a high pitch scream, causing everyone to cover their ears as Soul smiled at her friends.

"Wow. I didn't know your voices could reach that register." Ricky said.

"Plug your ears, I'm about to join them." Carlos said, making his way to the front. "I can't believe I'm playing... No one."

"Hey, the ensemble is a very important part of the show." Soul said, making her way up behind the boy with Ricky as she placed a hand on the boy's shoulder as Ricky scanned the board.

"Looks like we'll be seeing alot of each other at rehearsal's love." Zander said, leaning against the side of the board, smiling down at the girl. "Or should I say Olaf."

"Congrats, Soul." Ricky said, causing the girl to quickly look over at the board. "And I'm Kristoff. That's.."

"A person." Carlos told him. "Congratulations on being an actual character, Ricky. What? First Lumiere and now ensemble. Was I destined to do the behind the scenes stuff for eternity?"

"Make way." Ashlyn excitedly said, pushing her way through. "Make way for... the ensemble?"

"Welcome to the club." Carlos said, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder.

"I mean, hey, the ensemble." Ashlyn said, sounding more enthusiastic as she turned around to face the group. "You can't do a show without the ensemble. There are no small parts, only small actors, right?"

"That's right, Ash." Soul said, smiling at the girl.

"Don't count your lines, make the lines count." Ashlyn said.

"All right, all, everyone calm down. Let's just be professionals." EJ said, making his way to the group, causing everyone to turn and look at the boy as he stopped beside Soul, sending the girl a smile.

"Professionally, mazel tov." Ashlyn said. "Especially EJ. Personally, I will be backlogging photos of him in antlers for all future possible blackmail purposes."

That caused the rest of the cast to let out some laughs as EJ looked around confused with a smile on his face.

"What are you talking about?" EJ said.

"You good friend Val cast you as Sven, the reindeer?" Carlos said.

"No, no, I'm not in the show. I'm directing the show." EJ explained.

"I think you should check the list." Soul said, placing a hand on the boy's arm, causing him to look down at her before approaching the list.

"Looks like you'll be joining the ranks of character actor-directors." Carlos said.

"Like Greta Gerwig." Gina said with a smile.

"No, this has to be a mistake." EJ said, shaking his head as he backed away from the board, causing the group to chatter.

"I'm just wondering if this is a final list?" Carlos said.

"Quiet your voices!" Maddox exclaimed, causing everyone to turn around and face her.

Mornin', stage manager. You got everything ready?" EJ questioned.

"Sure do, Rocket Man." Maddox reassured the boy with a smile, turning her attention to everyone else. "It's Newbie Initiation Campout Night, folks. A night in the woods among the wildlife and spirits. Pack your tents. Oh, and rest your vocal cords. You'll be screaming tonight. Oh, and by the way, Carlos. We have cameras in the stage manager's office. But nice try recasting the show."

That caused everyone to turn and look at the boy as he stood dumbfounded, letting out a fake laugh as he looked around at everyone.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!" Maddox excitedly said, sitting on the swing between the bunks.

"Not Christmas, not Tax Day..."

"Tax Day?" Soul asked, confused, looking up from her song book, letting out a light chuckle, making eye contact with Gina, causing them to send each other smirk before turning back to the excited CIT as she made her way away from the swing.

"Newbie Night!" Maddox excitedly said, turning to face the group. "You guys are gonna have so much fun. Once we reach the camping spot, we start by setting up the tents. Then we gather around the campfire for a little sing-along experience. Followed by the world-famous retelling of... am I talking to myself? Talking to myself."

Ashlyn angrily ripped a piece of paper from the notepad, crinkling it up in her hand.

"Are you okay?" Gina asked, looking up at the girl.

"A hundred percent. Just journaling." Ashlyn said, sending the girl a smile. "Reframing the news from this morning so I can make it a win."

"Oh, I get it. You're a Leo Rising." Maddox said, making her way over to Soul and Ashlyn's bunk.

"Capricorn Rising, actually." Ashlyn said, quickly correcting the girl. "I'm all earth and air signs in my big three."

"Really?" Maddox said, sounding surprised. "I totally get fire sign vibes from you."

"Look, I know myself." Ashlyn said. "I'm a Ravenclaw, an ENFP, and a Samantha."

That caused Gina and Soul to lift their eyebrows in confusion.

"The American Girl doll, Samantha." Ashlyn explained. "And I'm definitely a Capricorn Rising."

"So Soul." Kourtney said, causing the girl to quickly look over at her curly haired friend, causing Kourtney to grin. "When are you telling you know who, that you, you know what?"

"You know what that's a great question Kourt." Gina said, pointing at the girl with a smile, turning her attention to her best friend, placing her chin on her hand. "Soul?"

"You know who? You know what?" Maddox said, looking around confused. "Are you talking in like code."

"Soul's in love." Gina said, dragging out the word with a big girl, causing the girl to blush.

"Wow." Maddox said, looking over at her cousin with a smile. "I'm happy for you."

"Thanks and I don't know. I'm just scared." Soul said. "What if he doesn't feel the same way or what if it becomes awkward, you know like that time I accidentally kissed him in his car and it was awkward for days."

"Woah, wait what." Kourtney said, holding her hand up. "When was this?"

"The day we all went to North High looking for Ricky's mask." Gina explains before looking back at Soul. "Hey, don't sike yourself too much. If I know anything about dating and relationships, what you and he have is something special and we all can tell how crazy he is for you."

"Hey, Soul, can I talk to you?" EJ said, sticking his head through the window, scaring the girl.

"Whoa! Whoa!" Maddox said.

"Out, Out!"

"It is my head." EJ said.

"I'll allow it." Maddox said, nodding her head.

"Well, now I need to come in the rest of the way." EJ explained

"You got two minutes. Go." Maddox said, ushering the boy in, causing Soul to stand for her bed as she approached the boy who was turned around as he closed the door.

"Hey." Soul said, causing the boy to turn around with a smile on his face, revealing flowers in his hand, causing a smile to grow on her face. "Aw, they're beautiful... EJ you didn't have to."

"But I wanted to." EJ said, causing the couple to make their way to the seat by the window as the girl delicately grabbed the flowers. "Sorry to barge in."

"Love is an open door." Soul said, quoting Frozen, causing Gina to let out a cough, causing the couple to look over at the girl, causing her to smile at them.

"I knew you'd get one of the main parts. You Souline Walker is a star." EJ said, smiling down at the girl.

"Thank you. That means a lot. Especially coming from you." Soul said, sitting down, causing the boy to follow her lead. "Is it weird to say that I'm happy you weren't the one casting the show. I know you would have made the right decision with casting but I just feel like everything feels... right."

Soul looked over at Kourtney and Gina smiling together, causing her to grin to herself as the boy watched her, causing him to grin before she looked back up at him. "You know."

"Yeah." EJ said, smiling at the girl, nodding his head.

"Everything okay?" Soul asked, looking the boy in the eye. "I know I've probably asked that like a hundred times already but-"

"Hey, no need to apologize for caring." EJ said, placing a hand on the girl's face, sending her a small smile before he moved his hand. "I'm just freaking out a little bit. Corbin Bleu's coming back tomorrow for our first read-through with his camera crew and everything. I've got to break down the script tonight. And I just... I want the read-through to flawless. I mean he was Chad. Like, I don't wanna disappoint the Chad."

"Babe, you won't disappoint him I promise you as long as you be yourself." Soul said, grabbing the boy's hand, causing him to nod. "I know that this is a big deal for you -"

"Hi." Kourtney said, approaching the couple, gaining their attention as she let out a fake chuckle. "Butting in. Corbin? Tomorrow? And we're staying out all night. Is that smart?"

"Ding, ding. And that's two minutes, EJ." Maddox said, pointing from her wrist to the boy.

After an afternoon of games and fun activities that group made their way to the camping spot in the woods.

"Now, everybody, sometimes there are snakes." Maddox said. "Most of them are not poisonous."

"Most of them!?" Kourtney said.

"Yes." Maddox said.

"I can't. I can't, I can't. I'm sorry." Kourtney said, walking away from the group with Carlos.

"No, Kourt." Gina and Soul called after the girl.

""You can't really do that." Maddox called after the duo. "You have to come back."

"You know how I'm feminist, right?" Ashlyn said, walking after Gina and Soul.

"Right." Gina and Soul said together.

"I like women." Ashlyn explained.

"Mmm-hmm." Gina said, looking through her bag as Soul watched the redheaded girl.

"Of course." Soul said.

"Almost all of the women I like." Ashlyn said.

"Where is this going?" Gina asked, causing Soul to nod.

"I just mean, does Val strike you as a little..." Ashlyn said, trailing off. "I don't have the word for it."

"Well she seems pretty nice to me." Soul said, causing Gina to nod.

"Same here." Gina said.

"And Maddox had the nerve to tell me I was a Leo Rising." Ashlyn said. "Soul, I mean no disrespect to your cousin."

"None taken." Soul said, sounding confused.

"Nobody knows my birth chart better than me." Ashlyn continued ranting. "Except Madam Stephanie."

That caused Soul and Gina to turn to the girl with confused looks.

"My psychic-slash-life coach?" Ashlyn explained. "She came to my birthday brunch?"

"Right." Soul said, nodding her head.

"Yeah, the random woman at Denny's who wasn't friends with any of us." Gina said.

"Not random. Madam Stephanie." Ashlyn corrected the girl.

"Here's what I'm thinking. You were an amazing supporting character." Gina said, standing up from her spot.

"Go on." Ashlyn said, smiling.

"And being cast in the ensemble was..." Soul continued, looking over at Gina, causing them both to nod as they looked back at the girl. "unexpected."

"Yeah."

"But to be completely honest. I guess I just didn't think you'd be this thrown off by it." Gina admits.

"Okay, tough love sister time here." Gina said, putting her hands on her shoulders causing the girl to nod. "It feels out of character here Ash."

"Just know you're going to shine with whatever part you get." Soul said, smiling at the girl, placing a hand on her arm.
