"Explain how it went one more time," Gina excitedly said over facetime with a giant smile on her face.

"Come on Gina, she's already explained it 5 times," EJ chuckled through the phone also on facetime, causing Soul to chuckle at the two.

"Hush," Gina said, playfully rolling her eyes before a smile once again takes over her face. "Go ahead Soul."

"Well we were sitting there going over the script, then we started talking about how we met, he had me play my song, and then we kissed," Soul explained, causing Gina to once again squeal through the phone. "I know."

"Oh My Gosh!" Gina exclaimed, jumping around her room, causing both Soul and EJ to laugh at the girl. "This is so exciting! Soul has a boyfriend!"

"I wouldn't say that," Soul says, shaking her head.

"Come on Soul, you guys are pretty much already there!" EJ exclaimed, causing Gina to nod in response.

"EJ's right Soul! He's been trying so hard and he finally made his move!" Gina points out. "Besides, isn't this what you wanted?"

"I mean yeah, of course," Soul said, nodding. "Forget about me. EJ how's the plan going? Is everything ready for tomorrow night?"

"Yeah, yeah! Flowers are set to be delivered tomorrow before the opening curtain and I have a bag of her favorites her I just need to put them in the gift bag." EJ said, lifting his arm to show the bag before his shoulders slouched. "I'm just really nervous."

"There's no need to be nervous, I mean she likes you right?" Gina asked, causing EJ to nod. "Then there should be nothing to worry about."

"Gina's right EJ, you shouldn't be nervous Sarah..." Soul started but stopped when she noticed her sister walked in. "Hey! Guys I'll talk to you guys later, Sarah just walked in!"

"Alright, good luck tomorrow night! You're going to rock the part of Kelsi!" Gina said, smiling brightly.

"Thanks, Gina I'm still sad you won't be there," Soul said, sadly.

"You can tell me all about it after!" Gina said, smiling.

"And I will be there to pick you up tomorrow! 2?" EJ asked, causing Soul to nod. "Alright, night Soul."

"Night, guys!" Soul smiled, sending one last wave before hanging up as she turned to Sarah who sat at the end of the bed. "Hey!"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to just barge in like that." Sarah apologizes, sending a small smile. "If I knew you were on the phone I wouldn't have came in."

"No, no! It's totally fine, it was just Gina and EJ," Soul said, shrugging it off. "So what's up?"

"You know how tomorrow is opening night and everything?" Sarah started, causing her to nod. "And we already have so much on our plates with our parts and everything... Soul, I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for how I was acting with the whole you and EJ thing. It wasn't very sisterly of me to treat you the way I did and I truly am very sorry! If you want to or if you already are dating EJ... I'm totally cool with that."

"Sarah, it's fine, seriously it's all in the past." Soul said, sending her a smile. "And the EJ thing, he's one of my best friends and that's all that is happening and has ever happened. I guess he was there when I truly needed someone and ever since I guess him and Gina have just become my people. I promise you I do not like EJ."

"Okay... I believe you," Sarah said, nodding her head, causing them both to smile at each other. "So what's going on with you and Ricky? Anything new?"

"Actually there is," Soul said, nodding, causing a giant smile to form on her sister's face. "We kissed at Tech Rehearsals."

"No way!" Sarah squealed, bouncing before turning to face her fully as she crossed her legs. "Wait tell me what happened?"

"Gosh you sound like Gina." Soul said, chuckling as Sarah signaled for her to continue.

"Yeah, Yeah. Tell me what happened." Sarah said, excitedly causing Soul to chuckle.

"Well you know how Miss. Jenn wanted me to help Ricky run his lines?" Soul said, causing Sarah to nod her head excitedly. "Well we did that for a little bit, he brought up how we met, told me he wanted to hear me sing, I sang, We kissed."

"OMG! You're first kiss!" Sarah said, smiling.

"Technically, me and Big Red kissed in the 1st Grade." Soul pointed out.

"You guys both fell while playing tag." Sarah said, chuckling. "So I don't think that technically counts."

That caused both girls to chuckle lightly as they smiled at each other.

"So that song of yours...." Sarah said, trailing off with a smile. "Are you going to let me hear it."

"Like I told everyone else, you'll just have to wait till tomorrow night," Soul said, sending her sister a smile, causing Sarah to pout. "Carlos hasn't even heard it. Only Miss Jenn has heard the song."

"Well whatever it is I know it's going to be amazing," Sarah said, sending her sister a smile as she pulled her into a tight hug. "Well I'm going to go, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow."

"Yeah. Goodnight, Sarah." Soul said, hugging her back.

"Goodnight, sis." Sarah said, sending her one more smile before making her way out of the room closing the door behind her.

Soul was looking around her room when something caught her eye, causing her to stand up from her bed as she made her way over to her desk.

She picked up the picture frame that was sitting on her desk, a picture of her and her father.

"I miss you dad," Soul whispered, smiling at the photo before her phone rang, causing her to sit it down as she made her way over to her bed, grabbing her phone not even looking at the name flashing on the screen.

"Hello," Soul said, answering her phone.

"Hey Soul," Ricky's voice rang through the phone, causing the girl to smile.

"Hey, what's up?" Soul said, taking a seat on her bed.

"Turn around," Ricky said, causing the girl to quickly turn around to see the red head smiling at her window.

She quickly stood up from her spot, hanging up her phone as she made her way to the window, opening it for the boy.

"Hey," Ricky said, hopping through the window, sending the girl a smile.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Soul asked, taking a step away from the window.

"I just needed some air from home," Ricky explained, causing the girl to nod understandingly. "I wasn't interrupting anything was I?"

"No, you're fine, I was just about to watch some TV or something," Soul explained, shrugging her shoulders.

"I want to take you somewhere?" Ricky said, sending the girl a smile.

"Where?" Soul said, chuckling, sending the girl a smile.

"Do you trust me?" Ricky asked, holding his hand out to the girl causing her to look at it before looking back up at him.

"Yeah, I trust you," Soul agreed, taking his outstretched hand, sending the boy a smile.

"Good, let's go," Ricky said, dragging the girl out of her window.

....

"Slow down," Soul yelled, laughing as Ricky pulled the girl around the skate park by her hand as he attempted to teach her to skate.

"I got you," Ricky chuckled, grabbing the girl as she nearly fell off the board, causing her to quickly wrap her arms tightly around the boy. "See I got you."

"Thanks," Soul said, lightly chuckling, getting back onto the board, grabbing onto Ricky's hands. "So are you ready for tomorrow? It's your first musical performance."

"Yeah, yeah, of course." Ricky said, nodding his head. "Just a little nervous but I'm sure I'll be fine."

"No it's totally fine to be nervous before your first performance especially before your first lead performance, I know that I was." Soul explained, looking over at the red head.

"Really, you never told me that," Ricky said, looking over at the girl quickly before turning back to the board.

"Yeah, I remember it was 6th grade when I had my first ever lead as Alice in Alice in Wonderland, I was so nervous that I had locked myself in the dressing room and I refused to go on stage 5 minutes before curtain call." Soul explained.

"What happened?" Ricky asked, looking up at the girl.

"My dad happened." Soul explained, sending the boy a small smile. "He came and told me that everything was going to be fine and to just perform as if he was the only person in the audience and it actually helped and during every play that I ever did I always looked for my dad in the crowd for reassurance... Tomorrow would be the first time I will be on stage without my dad."

"You will be amazing no matter what," Ricky said, causing the two to smile at each other, causing the board to hit something causing both of the teens to fall to the ground with Soul landing on top of Ricky.

"Hey," Ricky said, smiling up at the girl.

"Hi," Soul said, sending the boy a smile back before standing up offering the boy a hand, pulling him to his feet.

"Thanks," Ricky said, grabbing his skateboard. "We should probably call it quits."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Soul said, chuckling as the two make their way up the stairs making their way out of the skate park back into the night.

"So is your dad coming to the musical tomorrow?" Soul asked, looking up at Ricky as they casually bump shoulders.

"Yeah... along with my mom and her new boyfriend," Ricky said, sending a fake smile.

"I'm sorry that sucks." Soul said.

"It's fine." Ricky said, pushing past the topic, looking down at the girl. "What about you, is your mom and stepdad coming."

"I highly doubt that," Soul said, letting out a light solf. "All they have been doing is complaining about how much time we spend at the school."

"That must suck," Ricky said, stopping in the front of the girl's steps, turning around in front of the girl.

"I guess you can say that I'm used to it by now," Soul said, shrugging her shoulders before smiling up at the boy. "Thanks for tonight, I really had fun even with all the falls."

"Yeah, me too," Ricky said, smiling down at the girl. "I guess, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, tomorrow." Soul said, standing on her tippy-toes as she kissed the boy on his cheek before smiling at him one more. "Goodnight, Ricky."

"Goodnight," Ricky said, smiling before around the girl and walking to his own house.

Soul couldn't help but smile as she made her way into her house, only stopping as she came face to face with Jeff.

"And where have you been?" Jeff asked, standing up from his spot on the couch.

"Out with a friend." Soul said, simply making her way to the stairs but stopped when she was grabbed, forcing her to turn around. "Let go of me, Jeff."

"Let me guess out with that Bowen kid from next door," Jeff said, chuckling dryly. "You don't think I know you are sneaking him into this house."

"Not that it's any of your business," Soul said, causing the man to chuckle again, causing her to grow confused.

"You know, you nearly gave your mother a heart attack when she didn't see you up there in your room." Jeff said, shaking his head before smirking. "It would be a shame if you got hurt the night before your big performance."

"What does that mean? I'm not -." Soul said, growing scared by the minute, but before she could finish her sentence she felt pain across her face but before she could register that she felt pain shooting in her back as she was pushed roughly back onto the stairs.

"Like I said, it would be a shame," Jeff said, walking back over to the couch before taking a drink from his beer. "You might want to head up to your room, it might take all night to clean."

Soul didn't even say anything, quickly pulling herself up off the stairs before quickly making her way to her room.

Opening her door to see nearly most of her things either broken or all over the place. Directly in front of her feet was a broken picture frame of her and her dad, that caused her to break as she slid to the floor as she busted into tears, without even thinking she let out a scream, gaining everyone's attention in the house.

"Soul is everything... Woah." Sarah said, entering the room with her brothers right behind her.

"What happened here?" Sully asked, concerned as Sam helped his sister off the floor, causing her to let out a hissing sound as he touched her back.

"What's wrong with your back... and your face?" Sam said, growing upset by the second.

"Jeff saw Ricky coming in through my window and saw me go out with him and I guess he wasn't happy about it," Soul said, letting out sniffles as she bent down picking up her broken picture. "He destroyed everything."

"That's it," Sam said, turning around but was quickly stopped by his twin sister.

"What are you going to do, go down there and scream at him? What good would that do, Sam?" Sarah asked, looking just as upset. "I'm angry too but do you think he's going to give a crap this time if you go down there and yell at him again?"

"Well he's going to listen this time, no one does this?" Sam said, gesturing towards the room and then towards Soul. "He has officially crossed the line."

"What's going on?" Mom said, making her way into the bedroom but stopped as she stepped into the room as she looked around the room.

"Your psychotic husband happened! He also put his hands on Soul," Sam exclaimed, pointing his hands towards his sister, causing their mother's head to quickly snap in her direction.

"Oh Soul, I'm so sorry," Mom said, letting a few tears fall from her eyes as she touched her daughters cheek before looking over at all her kids. "I'm sorry to all of you, I should have stuck up for you guys. I was just so blinded by the fact that I found someone after your father died that I never really gave myself time to cope with everything because I didn't want to believe he was actually gone. I hope I can make things right between us."

"You want to make things right? Get rid of Jeff," Soul said, looking her mother dead in her eyes, causing her to look around at all of her children to see them nodding in agreement.

"Done," Mom said, nodding her head before turning around to make her way out of Soul's room before turning around to look at her kids, sending them a slight smile before making her way back into her bedroom.

"Do you think she's really going to get rid of Jeff," Sully asked, causing Soul and Sam to scoff as Soul pushes her door closed.

"Yeah, I believe it when I see it," Sam said, shaking his head before looking at his phone. "It is currently 11 and this is going to take a while so we should probably get started."

"Wait, you guys don't have to help me," Soul said, stopping her siblings as they began picking up things from her floor.

"When one of us goes through something, we all go through it." Sarah said, sending her sister a smile.

"Yeah, we know if this would have happened to one of us, you'd be the first to offer to help," Sully said, causing the girl to smile.

"Okay then, let's get started," Soul said, chuckling slightly as she placed the broken picture frame back on her desk before she began helping to pick up the damage that happened through her room.

After a long 3 hours of cleaning the Walker kids were able to pick up all the glass, broken frames, ripped pictures and clothes and instruments thrown all around.

"I think that's the last of it." Sam said, putting Soul's keyboard back onto her stand as he walked back to stand next to his siblings as he wrapped his arms around Soul. "We should all head to bed, it's already... 2 in the morning and you three have a big day tomorrow, we'll today."

"I could definitely go for some sleep right now," Sarah said, swaying back and forth in her spot on the other side of Sully, causing the others to chuckle lightly as she stumbled to the door. "Night guys."

"Goodnight, Sarah," They all bided in unison as the girl finally made her way out of the room.

"I think I'm going to call it a night too," Sully said from beside Soul, causing her to look up at her little brother.

"Thanks for the help Sul," Soul mumbled into his chest, bringing the boy into a hug. "Goodnight."

"Night, Sul." Sam said, sending his little brother a smile, ruffling his hair as the boy made his way to the door, sending them both a smile.

"Goodnight," Sully said, smiling before making his way down the hall to his own room as you could hear the sound of it closing behind him.

"I guess this is goodnight," Sam said, looking down at his little sister, causing her to look up at him.

"Yeah, Goodnight Sammy." Soul said, wrapping her arms around her brother's waist as she let out a sigh.

"Goodnight, Soul," Sam said, kissing his sister on the head before making his way out of her room, sending her a small smile as he closed her door behind him.

Causing her to let out a sigh of relief that she didn't know she was holding before making her way over to her bed, tired from all the cleaning and knowing she had a long day ahead of herself.
