For most kids the day before school, they're worrying about first day outfits and making sure they have everything packed and ready to go.

For Soul, she was performing at one of the biggest events of the summer that she had no clue she was performing at until the morning before. So that same day her and her mom hopped on a plane and flew to California for the event.

With her time away at camp, Soul got the inspiration to write more songs and those songs led to an album; Soul's first album.

Her label thought that since the EP did so well she should release the album immediately and so she did just that.

She has received nothing but good responses and more followers and supporters.

And tomorrow she goes back to her second home, where she'll reunite with her 2nd family once again.

Soul couldn't be more happy.

The crowd erupted with cheers as the music faded and the girl breathed heavily but she couldn't help but love the feeling.

"Thank you so much!" Soul spoke into the microphone, sending the crowd a wave before she made her way off the stage behind her dancers.

"That was amazing, Bug." Mom said, handing her daughter a water bottle as she stopped in front of her.

"Thanks." Soul said, gulping the water bottle down.

"Alright, we need to get you changed so we can make it to the airport and get you home in time for school tomorrow." Mom said, causing the girl to chuckle.

"Yes ma'am." Soul said, locking arms with her before they made their way towards the girls dressing room.

It was about 9 o'clock at night when Soul and her mom finally arrived back home.

"Sully, we're home!" Mom called as the pair dragged their suitcases into the house. "We brought you some food."

"How was the trip?" Sully asked, making his way down the stairs with a smile.

"It was good. The show was great." Soul happily said.

"Come on, you can tell him over dinner so you guys can head to bed." Mom said, leading her kids toward the dining room table.

"So did you meet any famous people?" Sully asked, causing Soul to chuckle as Stella shook her head in amusement.

"Yeah, a few it was a brief hello." Soul explained. "I mean it was so weird because a few of them came up to me. Me! Saying hello. And so many people asked for my autographs."

"You are a star now, honey." Mom said, sending the girl a smile. "It all comes with fame."

"What if I come with you on your next trip." Sully suggested. "I mean, whenever that is."

"I would love that, Sul." Soul said, smiling at the boy before the sound of her phone ringing filled the room, the girl let out a squeal when she saw the caller. "I gotta get this."

Soul quickly grabbed her phone, racing up the stairs to her room.

"EJ.' Sully and his mom said together, shaking their heads as they went back to eating.

"Hi." Soul answered, plopping down onto her bed.

"Hey, babe." EJ said, smiling into the screen, causing the girl to smile from ear to ear.

"How's your day been?" Soul asked, propping her head up on her hand.

"You know, I've just been very busy with classes and activities and stuff." EJ said, causing the girl to chuckle. "What about you? How was your first big performance? I mean the summertime ball, that's huge!"

"It was amazing!" Soul gushed, causing the boy to smile as he listened to his girlfriend go on and on about her day. "... and then I said hi to Harry freaking Styles, EJ. Harry Styles. Do you know how crazy that sounds? Me alone being in the same room as him is just insane but us speaking, I literally almost died."

"It sounds like you had a blast. I'm happy for you." EJ said, grinning at the girl. "Also you look amazing in blue."

"You saw it." Soul softly said.

"Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world." EJ spoke. "I also think my neighbors may think I'm weird or crazy by how loud I was screaming when you came on."

That caused both of them to let out a light chuckle.

"I miss you." Soul said, pouting. "Like a lot."

"I miss you too. Like a lot." EJ said, causing the girl to smile lightly. "So tomorrow's a big day for you. First day of senior year, you excited?"

"Of course. I mean, I've been waiting for this year since I first stepped foot into East High." Soul said.

"But." EJ asked.

"But, that was then. A lot has happened since." Soul explained, shrugging her shoulders. "Things changed, people came and people went. I just wish I had a little more time. You know, enjoy East High a little more."

"Yeah, I know what you mean." EJ said, sending the girl a small smile. "I guess this is the part where I give you a heartfelt Senior speech."

"Oo, I love a good EJ speech." Soul said, sitting up on her bed, causing the boy to chuckle. "Whatcha got for me, Caswell?"

"Just don't take any day for granted, okay." EJ spoke. "Senior year flew by pretty fast for me and I didn't really start doing what made me happy until it was kinda too late... Spend more time with those Wildcats because after this year who knows when you'll get the chance to see them again. Especially when you start touring all over the world, Miss Pop Star. But also enjoy it."

"Thanks, Eej." Soul said, smiling at the boy.

"Anytime." EJ said. "I love you."

"I love you too." Soul said, blowing the boy a kiss. "Bye."

"Bye."

The call ended, causing the girl to place the phone on the bed beside her, letting out a sigh as she glanced around her room.

Standing from her bed as she made her way toward her picture wall, carefully taking down a picture as she held it in her hands.

The picture contained Soul and the rest of the cast of high school musical.

Soul couldn't help but to smile softly at the picture as she ran her finger across it before placing it on her dresser before heading back downstairs to finish dinner.
