It's out with the old
And in with the new

"And cut, it's just EJ." Ricky said, quickly pausing the radio.

"Wow, sorry I'm not Corbin Bleu." EJ said, letting out a scoff as Carlos shook his head.

"Don't feel too bad, he said the same thing to me when I came over a few minutes ago." Soul said, sending the boy a joking smile as she lent against the fence.

"Hey, I don't remember Sharpay wearing chinos". EJ said, pointing at Carlos' clothing choice.
"Excuse you." Carlos said, quickly standing up. "Flawless skin and sunlight do not mix."

"EJ, where's Corbin?" Gina asked, standing up from the chair behind him as Kourtney and Ashlyn approached his other side.

"G, I don't know. Maybe your secret late-night hiking buddy Ricky knows." EJ said, pointing at the redhead.

"Her, what now?" Soul questioned, looking between the two.

"You're funny and you never make things weird, EJ." Ricky said, letting out a fake chuckle.

"Look, Corbin's helicopter had a maintenance issue. He'll be here any second." EJ informed the group.

"Are you guys totally sure about doing this?" Soul asked, walking about beside Carlos.

"We wanna impress Corbin Bleu." Carlos simply said. "And how else does one impress a person except performing elaborate musical numbers for them?"

"Do Uh, by talking to them?" Soul said, looking at the boy confused.

"Places, everyone!" Carlos exclaimed into the girl's ear, surprising her. "Someone hand me my sunglasses!"

Soul quickly grabbed EJ's hand, pulling him away from the groups 'stage' as they quickly got into places.

Goodbye clouds of gray, hello skies of blue
A dip in the pool, a trip to the spa
Endless days in my chaise
The whole world according to moi
Excuse me? Thank you

Iced tea imported from England
Lifeguards imported from Spain
Towels imported from Turkey
And turkey imported from Maine
We're gonna relax and renew
You, go, do

I want fabulous, that is my simple request
All things fabulous, bigger and better and best
I need something inspiring to help me get along
I need a little fabulous, is that so wrong?

Fetch me my Jimmy Choo flip-flops
Where is my pink Prada tote?
I need my Tiffany hairband
And then I can go for a float
Summer like never before
I want more

She wants fabulous, that is her simple request
All things fabulous, bigger and better and best
She needs something inspiring to help her get along
She needs a little fabulous, is that so wrong?

This won't do
That's a bore
That's insulting
I need more

I need, I need
I need, I need
I need, I need

I need fabulous
i want fabulous

Fabulous hair, fabulous style
Fabulous eyes and a fabulous smile

I like what I see, I like it a lot
Is this absolutely fabulous?

Fabulous, fabulous

Absolutely... Not!

"Still no Corbin... Just Dewey." Ashlyn informed the group, causing them to groan.

"Whoo! Now that is a catchy song."

Dewey exclaimed, smiling at the group. "Is that Ariana Grand?"

That caused some of the group to laugh as Carlos sat In the pool beyond shocked.

...

Soul was sitting on stage reading through her lines in her head, with Gina in front of her with her headphones on as she got into the zone as they were getting ready for the arrival of Corbin.

"Corbin's on the clock." Corbin said, barging through the barn doors with his camera man behind him, gaining everyone's attention. "It's go-time."

"Mr. Bleu, sir. We have a killer first read-through plan for today." EJ explained, causing the man to only nod as he continued walking.

"Keep warming up, gang. We're gonna check some sound levels." Corbin told the group as he made his way up the stairs.

"I'll be back." Soul said, looking over at her best friend, causing her to nod as she sent the girl a smile.

Soul went to make her way down the stairs and pass Corbin and his cameraman but stopped as he called out to her.

"Hey, you're that pop singer girl." Corbin said, snapping his fingers as he pointed at her. "Soul, right?"

"You know my name?" Soul asked, causing her eyes to go slightly wider.

"Yeah, my wife loves your music. I must admit it's good. You're a certified celebrity in my house." Corbin said, causing the girl to grin. "Are you in this musical?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'm actually playing Olaf." Soul explained.

"Nice. Gotta go. We'll chat later." Corbin said, sending the girl a smile before walking away with a camera man, causing Soul's jaw to drop before quickly making her way over to Maddox.

"Hey Maddie, where's Jet?" Soul asked, causing Maddox to shrug.

"You know him, he loves to show up late." Maddox said, sending a small smile before walking away, causing Soul to walk over to EJ.

"Hey, you." EJ said, smiling down at the girl, causing her to send him a grin

"Hey, you will never guess what just happened." Soul excitedly said, causing the boy to chuckle as he lifted an eyebrow. "The Corbin Bleu actually knows who I am. Like he knew my name and everything and also said he heard my music and he said it was actually good."

"Babe, breathe." EJ said, placing his hand on the girl's shoulders, causing her to nod. "Better?"

"Better." Soul nodded, smiling at the boy. "Hey, are you busy tonight?"

"I can always make time for you." EJ said, smiling at the girl, causing her to hug the boy. "Sorry, about last night, I've been kicking myself for not taking a break to hang. And I know I've been distracted with the show..."

"It's okay. We can talk anytime." Soul said, shaking her head. "I mean it's not like we only have this summer."

"Definitely. We definitely will be seeing each other all of the time because of geography!" EJ said, causing the girl to chuckle.

"Hey, Soul, come join the friendship circle." Ashlyn called.

"Coming." Soul said, smiling at the group, looking back up at EJ with one last smile before making her way over to the group.

"We're rolling!" Channing exclaimed.

"Welcome to the first Frozen read-through." EJ said, smiling at the group. "Ah, young Elsa and Anna are on a nature field trip and will catch up with us tomorrow."

"I'll take it from here, RJ, thank you." Corbin said, walking past the boy to the center of the group. "All right! Camp Shallow Lake! I am pumped to be back for this full day of rehearsal, I figured with opening night only 10 days away."

"10 days away?! That's a reason to celebrate. Bring it in." Ricky said, acting weird as he stood up from his seat, opening his arms wide open for a hug towards Corbin before awkwardly sitting back down.

"Look, I understand that some of you know me as a name and not a person." Corbin spoke. "But I'm just a regular person who buys his groceries at Erewhon and has a personal trainer like anybody else. All right? I'm just here to capture some behind-the-scenes footage, so think of me as a fly on the wall. Be yourselves. Let's have some fun. Yeah?"

"Yeah, baby!" Ricky exclaimed, throwing arms up. "Let's hug it out! Bring it in, come on."

"And here you have it folks." Corbin said, turning to the camera, completely ignoring Ricky who stood behind him. "The first camp read-through of Frozen. Let the show begin."

The read through then began as the group listened to Gina and Kourtney read their lines with stage directions being read by Val.

"Pause." Corbin called out, making his way over to the two leading lady's. "Sounds like you two really felt that moment. Let's unpack what you're channeling."

"Let me guess. real-life relationship troubles. You both like the same person and it's causing tension." Channing spoke from behind the camera, causing the East High kids to all turn their attention to Ricky and Soul, causing them to make quick eye contact before looking away as Channing looked around at the group before turning the camera towards Carlos. "Maybe it's this guy."

"Yes, it's me. The notorious womanizer of the group." Carlos said, speaking in a monotone voice.

"Uh, Mr. Bleu, if you're looking for dirt or like jealous in-fighting, that's just not us." Ricky explained.

"We're all good friends." Gina said, grinning from ear to ear.

"Yeah, like, really good friends. We're basically a drama-free zone." EJ said, smiling as wrapped his arm around Ricky and Soul as Ricky wrapped his arm around Gina.

"Great. All those Emmy-winning drama-free reality shows." Channing spoke sarcastically.

"Okay. let's just... let's move on." Corbin said, causing the group to continue.

"That's uh, Jet's line." Ricky explained, getting to the Hans causing the group to realize he wasn't there.

"Wait, Jet's not here." EJ said.

"You guys are just now realizing that?" Soul questioned.

"Oh, God. I knew he wasn't real." Carlos said.

"What's the deal with this Jet kid? Is he troubled?" Corbin questioned,

"I wouldn't say trouble." Ricky said, shaking his head. "We're slowly wearing his dark soul."

"Sounds like our protagonist." Channing spoke. "Everyone loves a misanthropic emo-boy to root for."

"Jet's gonna be fine. He's probably just doing this for attention." Maddox explained.

"Maddie." Soul said, looking over at her cousin beside her.

"I'm sure Jet is fine." EJ said, quickly standing up. "Maddie, Val, Zander, please track him down. As for the rest of us, let's take a ten. I will be in the canteen having a cool beverage because I am very cool. Everything is cool, Mr. Bleu."

"You're yelling." Carlos said, causing the boy to let out a sigh before quickly leaving the barn.

...

Everyone was sitting around the canteen talking, Soul was sitting beside Gina with EJ sitting on the arm rest beside her as they all talked to Maddox who sat on the chair beside EJ.

Everyone's attention went to Val as she entered the room alone.

"So?" EJ questioned.

"Guys, we lost Jet." Val said, sadly, causing Maddox to gasp very loudly as she quickly
stood up.

"What?" Maddox said.

"Oh. Sorry. Let me clarify." Val said, correcting herself. "I talked to Dewey and it looks like Jet checked out of camp and went home."

He disappeared into the open road. A lone minor." Channing spoke, walking around the room with his camera in hand. "Thumb in the wind. Hair in the wind, for either fate or foe, to take him away. That's you."

"Uh, yeah. Not quite." Val said. "An off-duty cop found him at the bus stop and his parents came and picked him up in a Buick."

"Wait, why would Jet just leave without telling anybody?" Ashlyn questioned, causing Soul to look over at her cousin who let out a forced breath.

"Guys. We really need to make this song. 'Kay? Something active?" Corbin said.

"In Summer." Carlos suggested, causing Soul to chuckle before looking over at EJ as she felt his eyes on her.

"Love Is an Open Door?" EJ said, looking up at Corbin, causing Gina to bump shoulders with Soul as the duo shared a grin.

"Love Is an Open Door. That's the Anna and Hans song, right?" Corbin asked. "And we're missing the Hans part of it."

"It is but..." Gina started.

"Yeah, weirdly. That's the only song I know." Ricky admits, letting out a chuckle. "Lily made me sing it on our second date, but I'm happy to jump in and, you know..."

That caused Corbin and Channing to look at each other before shrugging.

"Fine, you sing the song with Gia." Corbin said, causing Gina to let out a fake laugh.

"Gina." Gina corrected him with a fake smile.

That's right." Corbin said, pointing at the girl.

That caused Gina and Soul to share a chuckle before she made her way over to the piano with Ricky as EJ took her spot, wrapping his arm around Soul as they watched the two sing with Ashlyn playing the piano.

Okay, can I just say something crazy?
I love crazy

All my life has been a series of doors in my face
And then suddenly I bump into you
I was thinking the same thing
'Cause, like, I've been searching my whole life to find my own place
And maybe it's the party talking, or the chocolate fondue

But with you (But with you)
I found my place (I see your face)
And it's nothing like I've ever known before

Love is an open door
Love is an open door (Door)
Love is an open door

With you, with you
With you, with you
Love is an open door

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah

I think it's crazy (What?) that we finish each others'-
Sandwiches
That's what I was gonna say
I've never met someone who thinks so much like me
Jinx, jinx again
Our mental synchronization can have but one explanation
You and I were just meant to be

Say goodbye (Say goodbye) to the pain of the past
We don't have to feel it anymore

Love is an open door
Love is an open door (Door)
Life can be so much more
With you, with you
With you, with you
Love is an open (Love is an open) door

The two ended with Gina dipping Ricky, causing everyone to clap and cheer.

Everyone but one person; Zander who watched the couple sitting close together on the couch.

Corbin noticed the stare, pointing to Channing as he pointed out the drama.

Everyone watched as he quickly stood up and stormed out of the canteen, confusing everyone.

"Folks I'm gonna need some B-roll of people acting anxious and confused, all right?" Channing said. "We're rolling."

Causing some to quickly begin freezing in place acting surprise.

"I need some air." Soul whispered to EJ before standing and making her way out of the canteen.

Soul decided to take a little stroll through the camp alone letting her thoughts take over.

Quickly stopping as she noticed Zander sitting on a bench nearby looking out at the water, going to turn around but stopped at the sound of his voice.

'Stalking me now, love?" Zander questioned not once turning his head.

"Never." Soul said, causing him to let out a chuckle as he looked over at her. "How'd you know it was me?"

"The perfume you're wearing. It's the same one you wore when we met." Zander said, turning his attention back to the water.

"Good to know." Soul said, going to turn back around.

"I'm sorry." Zander said, causing the girl to freeze with her back towards him. "You were right, you know. I knew that you were hurting when we met, your face said it all."

"So why befriend me." Soul asked, turning back around. "Why'd you do all the things you did?"

"Because you were there." Zander said, causing the girl to lift her eyebrows. "The only reason I moved to town was because that's where my dad lived. I had just lost the only parent I knew my whole life. My mom died in a car accident on the way to one of my football well soccer games and I always blamed myself and I changed. I was sent to live with my dad, his wife and my half sister, Lily. 3 people I knew nothing about. I was in a dark place after that and I hated everything and everyone. Then I met you. You became the only person who would listen and actually showed that they cared and I got scared. I was scared that I was going to lose you too so I did everything I could to push you away."

"It gets easier." Soul says, causing the boy to look over as she takes a seat on the other end of the bench, looking down at the ground. "In the beginning, it may feel like the world is going to end and that it's all your fault but you'll soon realize that things happen for a reason. Not that I'm saying what you said and did was right, I see where you were coming from; you were lost. You have to allow others to help you or else it's going to be a never ending battle of you versus yourself. I was lost too. For a while after my dad died, I pushed everyone away, everyone in my life that I knew cared even my mom. It was because I was stuck in my thoughts that I deserved nothing and no one because my dad had nothing. But then I made the best decision in my life and went back to the theater and that is where these amazing people I call my friends taught me so much about life and myself that I've never been more... me."

"You have one strong and beautiful soul, Souline Walker. Caswell is one lucky guy." Zander said, smiling over at the girl after a moment of silence as they watched the water. "I hope one of these days you can fully forgive me for my mistakes but for now I must go."

"Go?" Soul questioned, looking at the boy confused. "Go where?"

"That's the beautiful thing about life. You don't have to know at the moment." Zander said, shrugging his shoulders. "Me and my mom made this plan that when I graduate High School and turn 18, we'd explore the world together. I don't know, I'll maybe start with making my way to Jackson Hole and see my family then... who knows. Maybe I'll find myself while I'm gone."

"I wish nothing but the best for you." Soul said.

"I guess this is until next time." Zander says, standing up from his seat, smirking over at the girl. "Don't miss me too much, love."

"In your dreams, Z." Soul said, jokingly, sending the boy a soft smile. "Be careful, okay?"

"Don't say that too loudly, someone might think we're friends." Zander jokes, walking backwards, causing the girl to lightly chuckle.

The duo shared one last smile before the boy fully turned around, making his way away as Soul turned back around, letting out a breath of air.

...
"Hey, there you are." Soul said, finding Ej sitting beside Val as she made a poster, smiling at the duo. "I was heading back to rehearsals and was going to see if you wanted to head back together. Val you're more than welcome to tag along too."

"How sweet of you." Val said, smiling at the girl. "But I'll have to politely decline. I have to get this finished before I head back."

Soul looked over at EJ, noticing that he was acting strange and was looking off into space. "Is everything okay, Eej?"

"Yeah, everything's perfect. Come on." EJ said, quickly standing up from his spot, making his way over to his girlfriend. Grabbing her hand as he smiled down at her. "Break's up, let's get back to the barn."

"Okay." Soul said, smiling up at the boy before turning her attention back to the blonde sitting at the table still. "Bye, Val."

"Bye." Val said softly, smiling at the couple as she watched the girl lead the way as the boy turned back to face her with a panicked look.

...

Okay. We'll make this quick team." Corbin said, clapping his hands, causing everyone to quickly gather around.

"Yeah, EJ, give them a generic goodbye so that we can help the audience with the timeline." Channing explained. "It doesn't matter what you say."

"Through the camera or..." EJ asked, sounding confused causing Soul to let out a light chuckle from the stage.

"To them." Channing said, nodding to the four on the stage. "That's it, boss. All right, we're rollin'."

"Um..." EJ said, clearing his throat. "That was our day. And now it is over. Thank you."

"Till next time, Shallow Lake." Corbin said, looking at those on the stage before turning to the camera. "Till next time, Shallow Lake."

"All right, and cut." Channing called, turning his camera off.

"So how'd we do?" EJ asked, turning towards Corbin, causing everyone to look at the man.

"You guys were perfect." Corbin said, smiling at the group, causing the group to smile.

"Thank you so much for everything, Mr. Bleu." Ricky said, making his way off the stage and towards him. "I think we're both feeling this, so..."

Ricky then wrapped his arms around the man, causing Soul to shake her head with a chuckle as she looked over to Gina who shook her head with a smile.

"All right. 8pm Don't be late, we're watching High School Musical 3 tonight!" Val announced making her way to the center of the room beside EJ.

We're getting ready
For the night of nights
The night of nights

''Fun fact, I weirdly never say that one, so..." Corbin said, as Carlos sang as he approached.

"That was the best one." Soul whispered in shock, looking over at Gina and Kourtney, causing them to nod.

"Corbin Bleu is just a character in a documentary, He can't hurt me." Carlos said, leaving the barn with Ricky as they followed everyone else out.

"God bless his thirsty Broadway heart." Kourtney said, looking over at Gina and Soul, causing Gina to nod as Soul smiled.

"He'll be just fine." Soul said, shaking her head. "EJ says you guys killed it in the read through today."

"Best big sis, little sis and their snowman trio ever!" Gina said, smiling over at Kourtney and Soul, causing them to chuckle.

"You are bursting with that good news energy." Kourtney said, walking between the two, linking her arms through both of theirs.

"You both know, I've loved living with Ashlyn, but I'm just so happy to get to go back to my own home.' Gina happily said. "Moms are the best."

"That they are." Soul said, nodding her head.

"For real. I just got a bomb care package from my mom. My old Camp Rock poster..." Kourtney explained. 'Yes, that's my comfort movie, brand-new hair gel."

"Oh, she gets that struggle?" Gina said.

"Totally." Kourtney said, nodding as she let out a chuckle. "Somehow, she always knows what I'm going through."

"Mmm-hmm." Gina and Soul said together, looking at their friend between them as they stopped.

"Hey Kourt, what's wrong?" Gina asked, noticing the distant look on her face.

"Oh, it's nothing." Kourtney said, putting a fake smile on, causing Gina and Soul to share a look before looking back to their friend.

"Kourt." Soul said, causing her to look from Gina to her.

"I'm good." Kourtney said, reassuring the girls. "Come on, I wanna get in my cozy clothes for the movie."

The three shared a laugh as they made their way out of the barn and back to the Honeycomb cabin.

...

Everyone was packing into the building as they got ready to watch the movie with the rest if the camp.

Soul and Gina walked side by side, laughing with each other as they approached Val as she stood by the door.

Hey, can I talk to you?" Soul said, sending the girl a smile.

"Sure. Yeah, let's do it." Val said, sounding surprised, stepping to the side with Soul as Gina waited by the door. "Listen you should know..."

"So, I wanted to ask..." Soul spoke at the same time as Val.

"You first." Val said, causing Soul to smile at the girl.

"I know you already picked out High School Musical 3 for tonight's movie and I'm sorry that this is so last minute." Soul said. "But is there like any way we could watch Camp Rock instead? It's for someone who we think really needs it. It's like her comfort movie."

"This is about the screening?" Val asked.

"Yeah." Soul said, nodding her head. "Why is there something else?"

"No, of course not." Val quickly said, shaking her head with a smile. "Camp Rock it is."

"Thank you so much. You're literally the best." Soul said, grinning from ear to ear. "I owe you one."

"Hey, this is none of my business, but..." Val started. "You're a good friend. And girlfriend. I can tell you're a good person."

"You are too." Soul said, sending the girl a smile, handing over 2 green passes with a big smile before turning back to Gina, lopping her arm with hers as they happily entered the building.

After an eventful time with watching a Disney classic with her friends, everyone began heading back to their cabins.

"Oh, shoot." Gina said, looking around her bed and her stuff as she was looking for something.

"Everything okay, G?" Soul questioned, looking over at her best friend from her spot on the swing with her guitar in her hand.

"I think I might have left my script in the barn." Gina said, looking up from looking through her bag. "And I need to look over my lines before rehearsal tomorrow."

"Do you want me to come with you?" Soul asked, stopping the swing from moving.

"Would you?" Gina said, smiling over at her best friend, causing Soul to nod. "You're the best."

After a short stroll to the barn, Gina quickly spotted her script sitting on a small table, causing the girl to grin as she grabbed.

Going to turn around stopping as she noticed EJ's binder sitting on the table with a note sticking out, causing the girl to grab it.

"Hey, Soul. Did you know about this?" Gina called, causing her friend to look over as she stood against the wall beside the barn doors.

"Know about what?" Soul questioned, causing the girl to make her way over to the girl with a confused look that quickly turned to hurt as she read the letter from Cash Caswell to EJ.

"Hey Val." Soul called out, watching the blonde make her way through the barn.

"Yeah?" Val asked.

"Did you know about this letter?" Soul asked, sounding hurt, looking up at the girl as Gina had a supportive arm around the girl.
