A light knock came from the girl's door, causing her to turn from her piano, finding Gina peeking her head through the with a small smile.

"Hi." Gina waved, stepping into the room. "Sorry to drop by unannounced. I just kinda have big news and needed to talk to someone other than my mom about it."

"G, you know you're welcome here anytime. Take a seat." Soul gestured to the end of her bed, turning around on her piano chair, coming face to face with Gina. "I actually have something I need to tell to you about too."

"Well you go first, maybe if I hear your news it'll calm my nerves." Gina nervously chuckled.

"Uh, okay. So you know how I went to visit Sarah and Sam the other day, right?"

"Right." Gina nodded. "You told me how you rocked their college faces off."

"Yeah. Well, while I was there I had gotten a very big phone call from your brother." Soul trailed off, causing Gina to slowly nod. "I mean, life changing. And you know how I released my EP and the album not that long ago. Well the label thinks it's a good time for me to go out on my own tour."

"Oh my god, Soul that's amazing!" Gina exclaimed, throwing her arms around the girl, slowly letting go as Soul made little to no effort to hug her back, causing Gina to slowly pull away. "That's a good thing, right. I mean, Isn't that what you've been working towards?"

"Of course, it's what I want." Soul nodded with a small smile. "It's all any artist wants. Touring is just the icing on the cake of it all."

"But..."

"But if I do it, that means the tour would be starting in January." Soul explained, causing Gina's smile to slowly fall. "So next month."

"Oh." Gina muttered. "What about the rest of your Senior Year? Prom? Graduation?"

"I would have to get my GED so I could focus on the tour." Soul answered, causing the room to go silent. "G."

"This is amazing news, Soul." Gina smiled. "I say go for it."

"Really?" Soul started. "I mean of course, I want to do it! I mean really want to! I mean no other artist starts off headlining... It's just that I've been waiting for Senior Year since I first started at East High. That's all and now I could miss the most important parts of it."

"Right..." Gina trialed off, causing the Walker girl to look down. "Well what does your mom say?"

"I haven't actually told her about it yet." Soul admitted. "I know she'll be supportive either way and Jamie kinda needs an answer opening night."

"Soul that is literally in 3 days." Gina spoke, causing Soul to let out a sigh.

"Yeah, I know." Soul muttered, looking up at the girl. "It's just so hard. Having to choose between staying with the people I love for the last time in I don't know how long or chasing my dreams and going on tour."

"You'll figure it out." Gina grabbed the girl's hand, sending the girl a smile. "You always do."

"Yeah.." Soul whispered. "What about you, what's your big news, Gina Porter?"

"Well, it's not as big as going on my own tour but." Gina teased, causing Soul to chuckle. "Uh, Quinn's making a new movie, a Romeo and Juliet adaptation to be exact. And she wants me to be her Juliet."

"Not as big as tour, Gina this is huge!" Soul exclaimed, causing Gina to smile. "I mean you are literally a movie star my friend. I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks." Gina grinned, looking down. "But that means I'm also leaving. The movie is shooting in New Zealand."

"Oh."

"And if I do it. I'd have to leave right after the show." Gina sadly smiled.

"I guess we both have some big decisions to make huh."

"I guess so." Gina agreed.

The room went silent as both girls let the news sit in.

"You have to do this movie." Soul spoke up, sending the girl a supportive smile. "This is such a big opportunity for you. I mean this can literally put you further on the map."

"I know, I know. It's just a lot." Gina admitted, letting out a sigh. "I mean I would be missing the rest of the year for this movie and some of your guys are seniors."

"Some of us or Ricky?" Soul asked, causing Gina to slowly nod. "You haven't talked to him yet have you?"

"I don't know how to! I mean I wouldn't even know what to say."

"Tell him the truth." Soul explained. "He'll understand because he is in love with you."

"Yeah, I don't know about that." Gina shook her head with a light smile.

"Gina I have been here since the beginning. You guys have something special and there's no denying that. And as the friend in the middle I can tell you I know you guys love each other."

The room went quiet as the duo sat in a comfortable silence as Gina let out a light chuckle.

"Hey, do you remember the day we first hung out?" Gina smiled, causing Soul to look at her.

"How could I forget?"

Soul was the only one home that evening; her mom and Jeff were out at the bar, Sam and Sarah were out with friends and Sully was still at school for Robotics.

The girl was picking up the empty beer bottles from the living room when the sound of the door bell ringing caught her attention.

The Walker girl carefully placed the bottle she had in her hand back on the table before she quickly made her way over to the front door.

She pulled the door open, revealing a smirking Gina.

"Gina, hi!" Soul smiled, looking at the girl confused. "W-what are you doing here?"

"Well, I thought you were pretty cool earlier and wanted to see if you were down to hang." Gina shrugged.

"Uh, yeah, sure." Soul nodded, glancing over her shoulder. "Would you like to wait inside, while I finish up. No one's here."

"Cool." The Porter girl stepped into the unfamiliar house, glancing around the home. "Cute place you got here."

"Thanks. Sorry about the mess, I was just cleaning up." Soul spoke, quickly grabbing as many bottles off the table as she could.

"No worries." Gina spoke, causing Soul to send her a small smile before she turned, making her way to the kitchen.

Soul quickly dropped the bottles into the trash, turning to make her way back to the living room but quickly stopped as she came face to face with Gina holding the rest of the bottles out towards the girl.

"Thanks." Soul smiled lightly, grabbing the bottles quickly dropping them into the trash can.

"Ready to go?"

"Uh, yeah. Where are we going exactly?" Soul asked as the duo made their way out of the front door.

"I don't know, yet." Gina shrugged, causing Soul to nod.

"Cool."

The duo walked in silence that could be cut with a knife.

"So what is there to do around this town?"

"Well we have Slices which is a Pizza place that is always a must. Uh there's an arcade that has really fun laser tag. There's theres also a some small shops. Everything is a 10 minute walk that way."

"Okay, let's do it." Gina nodded, causing Soul to lift up her eyebrow.

"Which one?"

"All of them." Gina smirked, walking away, causing Soul to quickly chase after her.

"That was the first day I ever hung out with someone in over 4 years." Gina admitted. "I mean with all the moving from state to state. Making friends was already hard so I never saw the point in trying."

"But you tried with me. I mean, you were the one who came over, which I still don't understand how you knew my address." Soul spoke, causing Gina to smile. "What was so different?"

"You were nice to me." Gina answered, blinking a few tears away, causing Soul to lift her eyebrow. "On my first day at East High. We had that big assembly, you sat right beside and smiled at me. Anyone else would have ignored me or sat somewhere else because I looked intimidating. But not you, you sat right beside me and introduced yourself."

"Well you were a little intimidating." Soul joked, smiling at the girl. "But I'm really glad I sat next to you that day."

"Me too." Gina sniffed, letting out a light chuckle as she looked Soul in the eyes with teary eyes. "It's honestly gonna be super weird not seeing you everyday. I mean you're my best friend and I need you. I don't know how I'm gonna do this without you."

"You don't have to." Soul shook her head, letting a few tears fall as she smiled through the tears, grabbing the girl's hand as she took a seat beside her. "Because you, Gina Porter, have been a sister I never knew I needed. There will be no amount of distance that can keep us apart. I'm going to be your best friend for the rest of your life."

"You're my sister too." Gina cried as Soul wiped her tears away before grabbing both of Gina's hands.

Gina spoke, causing Soul to glance over at her, meeting Gina's gaze. "Will you be there to pick up the pieces if it all comes crashing down?"

"I won't have to because you, Gina Porter, are going to be one amazing Juliet." Soul reassured the girl, causing Gina to smile. "But if need be, I'll be there to pick up every last one of them."

Gina smiled at the girl as she wrapped her arms around the girl's shoulders, pulling her into a hug.

"I guess it's too late to ask you to be one of my backup dancers on tour?" Soul jokingly said, causing them both to laugh as they pulled apart. "I'm so proud of you, G."
