Hayes knocks on my window holding up a basket. I laugh and open the window.

"You could just go through the door like regular people."

"Well we both know I'm not your regular person."

I nod in agreement as he sets the basket down.

"So have you been thinking about the movie thing?"

"Yeah but I still don't know what to do. I don't want to leave you or my friends."

"Hey look at me. You need to chase your dreams. You've been supporting all of us for years. You need to do something you want to do."

"But I don't want to be apart from you."

"We'll make it work. Remember my promise?"

I look down at the ring smiling at it.

"How could I forget?"

He touches my cheek.

"So what did you bring?"

"Some pie."

"Yum."

He takes out some pie and feeds me a slice. I laugh and eat most of the pie. He looks at me like I have two heads.

"What? I skipped breakfast."

We both laugh and continue eating. He stands up grabbing a random movie.

"Perfect way to end a perfect day." He says putting in the movie.

I lean back against my bed turning up the volume. He sits beside me putting his arm around me. I snuggle against him listening to his heart beat. I smile.

See this is what I don't want to let go but he's right. I need to chase after my dream.

I finally made up my decision.
