Shees opened half of his eyes and looked towards the clock. It was 4 o'clock.

حي على الفلاح

"Come to success." 

اَلصَّلَوةُ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ النَّوْمِ
اَلصَّلَوةُ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ النَّوْمِ
"Prayer is better than sleep"

His vision was still blurry so he rubbed his eyes from the back of his hand. He sat down and his back was leaning against the head of the bed.

After listening the whole Adhan, he threw the blanket to the other side and walked towards the washroom.

After performing wudhu, he was standing on the salah mat offering his Fajr prayer.

Shees was wearing a black Shalwar Kameez (Islamic dress) while praying.

He raised his hands up for dua.

"Here I came again at your door for Emaan". A crystal from his eyes cascade down till his cheeks.

"ALLAH! You know the secret of every heart. You know how much I love her. Please help me find her. Give me any clue, any road, any way that helps me to reach towards her. I have been trying to find her for last 5 years. I didn't know that "Goodbye" was forever till I got that letter. I hurt her unintentionally. I want to ask her for forgiveness. I thought I was doing all that to keep her safe but all I was doing to get away from that guilt. The Guilt, not to be able to save her from Luna. But now I regret it. I regret to leaving her own her on when she was going through a lot. I was just seeing my pain and forgot her pain.

He cried his heart out. This was the daily routine of Shees since the day Emaan left him.

Shees was sitting in his office room. He was waiting for the special investigator who got a new clue about Emaan.

Shees stood up and walked towards the glass wall. He looked down towards the entrance of his company.

This stupid investigator, I told him to hurry. What's taking him so long? Shees was standing there in anger.

Sir! What are you looking outside? A voice with a face came behind from Shees which startled him badly.

Ahh! You scared me. Shees put his one hand over his left side. His heartbeat was running fast.

Sorry Sir. That investigator rubbed the back of his neck and laughed out nervously.

Do you have the file? Are sure this time your news is accurate? I don't want to be fooled again. Is every line on this file right? I can find Emaan here. Shees asked all the questions in breath. That investigator grinned from ear to ear.

Yes, Sir! I saw Miss Emaan there with my own two eyes.

I know it, I can count on you. Shees patted his shoulder and took the file from his hand without waiting for another second.

Shees sat down on his chair and was about to open the file when Aliyan opened the door.

Buddy I nee-

Shees put that file under his table in haste and tried to act as normal as he could.

What is he doing here buddy? Aliyan pointed toward that investigator and asked in an investigatory tone.

Nothing buddy. Hey you! Go back to your work. I won't increase your salary. Shees showed the investigator his eyes and tilted his head on the left side to leave the room right now or else the whole plan will be failed if Aliyan knew about it.

Okay Sir. The investigator said and walked out of the room.

Aliyan narrowed his eyes and tried to read Shees expressions.

Aliyan came near the table.

I'm not hiding anything Aliyan. If you have nothing important to say, then please leave. Shees semi-shouted and one hand was still under the table holding file.

Aliyan raised his one eyebrow because Shees toned changed completely when he came near the table. Aliyan noticed that his one hand was still under the table.

Okay, put it here. I will sign it. Shees was trying to find the pen when Aliyan snatched that file from under the table. He ran away and Shees was after him.

He read the first word and looked towards Shees with so done expression.

What is this Shees? Aliyan showed him the file with a tinge of anger in his voice. Shees rubbed the nape of his neck nervously.

He licked his lower lip nervously to form a sentence that would be convincing.

Have you not done with your "AFFECTION" thing? Do you want to play with my sister's heart again? Why can't you just leave her alone buddy? She has moved on. You should try that too. Aliyan gave that file to Shees and sat down on the chair.

This always happened whenever Shees got caught spying over Emaan's whereabouts. Aliyan was angry again and Shees also thought that he had all the rights to get angry. He really left Emaan, saying that "All that was just an affection".

Shees sat down on his chair and looked towards Aliyan with serious expressions.

Aliyan was still not sure because Emaan clearly told him that she didn't want to meet Shees ever again.

For our friendship sake Aliyan, you have to take me there. Shees was now emotionally blackmailing him. And the blackmailing was working on him.

Okay I'll take you there but you have to promise me one thing tha-

Shees cut him in the middle and said.
I promise whatever you say I'll do it. Shees said hurriedly.

Aliyan laughed loudly because the old Shees was back.

Okay, then we have to do some make-up on you. Aliyan smirked on his thoughts and Shees could feel that he would do something stupid.

3 hours later

Aliyan, I'm not going inside. Why the hell do I need to change myself into an old man to meet Emaan? Aliyan was pushing Shees inside when Shees was grabbing both sides of the door and pushing Aliyan back.

This is my last warning Shees, go inside or else I will inform Emaan that you are coming. And you know what will happen next. Shees stopped and looked towards Aliyan in disbelief.

Are you sure, you are my best friend? First you kept a secret about Emaan's whereabouts and now this. Shees wiped his fake tears.

I'm not buying this buddy. Aliyan pushed Shees inside and locked the door from the outside.

Maam call me when you are done changing him. Aliyan shouted from outside and walked away.

Shees fell on the ground which startled the make-up artist.
He stood up immediately and mopped up his pants.

ASALAM-O-ALAIKUM! Shees laughed out nervously.

2 hours later.

Who is this old guy? Where is my buddy Shees? Mr old guy, have you seen my best friend Shees. He is taller than the Efel tower. Aliyan was teasing Shees.

Come here, let this old guy teach you a lesson. Shees was running after Aliyan when the make-up artist shouted.

Sir! The wig will come off if you keep running like this.

Aliyan and Shees both stopped and looked at each other. Aliyan couldn't control his laugh and burst out laughing.

Shees wig was going in the left direction.

Stop laughing. It's annoying. Shees said it and walked towards the artist.

Shees sat down on the chair and smiled because the line he just said was Emaan's. She always tells him to stop smiling whenever she wants Shees not to tease her more.

After the last touch up, Shees and Aliyan walked towards the car. They sat down when Aliyan spoke up.

Are you ready to do everything?

Everything for Emaan. Shees smiled brightly after 5 years and Aliyan was happy for him too. He thought that this punishment was enough for Shees. Now he will always cherish Emaan.

The car was going towards the rural area when Shees looked towards Aliyan.

That's why I was not able to find her.

Yes, my buddy. Aliyan said without moving his gaze from the road.

She left her life and her dreams behind her to stay away from me. Did she really hate me that much? Shees asked this question to himself.

After driving for a while, Aliyan stopped his car in front of a school.

I will come in the evening. So pretend to be shocked when you meet me.
Aliyan tried to be reasonable and acted innocent but the daggers he was getting from Shees was telling something else.

Mr Aliyan! Sweden's resort project is yours now. Congratulation! You will stay there for 8 months. And one more thing, your half year salary is deducted. Shees patted his cheek and stepped outside the car.

B-buddyyyyy. Aliyan shouted but everything was in vain. Shees didn't look back.

Shees was walking towards the office when he heard some children giggling sounds coming from the ground.

He walked towards there and saw the "Jan e dushman" (this word is used to express the love a husband has for his wife) of his life playing with those children.
