But- the contents are only worth one thousand! What a ripoff! Gon stared at the box for a moment. "is something wr-", "that's not fair!" The woman blinked. "huh?" he showed her the box. "the single boxes only cost 98 something bucks, and when you get twelve of those it only costs like one thousand one hundred! This is three thousand! It's a total ripoff!" The woman sighed. "I don't make the prices, Gon" Gon looked at her. "why can't I get a single box then?" she shrugged. "do you have insurance?" Gon frowned. "No..?" she smiled. "then there's your answer, sorry sweetie"

Gon felt...so so mad. "Why make the poorer people who don't have that much money, pay more than double the price? It makes no sense!" he protested. I wish I had my hunter's license right now, maybe then I could do something. The woman sat back with a groan. "Listen kid" she said, her voice getting more irritated and harsh. "I. don't. make. The. Prices." Gon huffed. "then who does?" she shrugged. "no damn clue. I'm not paid to know. Now stop whining and get out!" Gon growled. "fine!" he turned, then stormed out. As soon as he left, an alarm went off. "Hey- GET BACK HERE!"

Gon ran faster, the medicine box in his hand. "SECURITY!" Gon didn't feel bad anymore. At first he kinda did, but after seeing the total ripoff they were trying to sell he didn't care. His friend needed this a lot more than those people needed the money. They were already rich rolling on piles and piles of cash. They could afford to lose one overpriced box, the rest would make up for it right? He used his head and lost the security in an alleyway, then doubled back to go to the forest.

By the time he'd gotten back, the sun was setting. He put the box in his bag, he'd make it a surprise. "Gon! There you are!" Ms. Rukin said, then tugged on his ear. Gon winced. "Where on earth have you been?" she scolded. Gon smiled, then reached his hand into his bag. "I got something" There was a yawn, and a large black haired man walked over and hugged Ms. Rukin from behind. "keep it down Diance, the pups are sleeping" Gon smiled. "Mr. Rukin" he said. "I have a surprise for both of you!" They both looked at him curiously

Gon pulled out the medicine, then smiled brightly. "here!" Ms. Rukin gasped and Mr. Rukin's eyes widened in shock. "How- how did you-" Gon rubbed the back of his head, feeling a bit guilty. "I uh...stole it?" Ms. Rukin looked at him disapprovingly. "I thought you were better than that, Gon" I was gonna go see how much it exactly was so I could buy it but its three thousand dollars!" she became shocked. "what-?" she glanced at her husband. "Folkin is this true?" he sighed. "it is.."

Gon scowled. "they only sell the real price to people who have money, and make the poor people work super hard to get something worth a lot less for what they paid for! The lady refused to give me the cheaper version so I just kinda...ran?" both of the adults looked....impressed. "didn't she call the cops or something? Shoplifting aint easy" Gon shrugged. "I've had to evade people before" plus with zetsu its easy. All he'd really had to do is clip a corner really fast, then jump onto a building and use zetsu and hold his breath until they were gone. Ms. Rukin still looked very disappointed in him, however her husband had a different expression.

"Hey Gon?" he asked. Gon looked up. "Yeah?" he smiled. "would you like to maybe...come hunting with me sometime?" Gon's eyes shined. "of course!" he smiled. "usually I just fish, but I can hunt too! Back on whale island I used to fish then sell it for money, but I've tried that around here and it doesn't work" he nodded. "You must've lived in a more rural area" Gon blinked. "well, yeah. The island was really big on fishing, and there weren't many stores but there was this huge market!"

"can you shoot a bow?" Gon blinked. "No? but my friend taught me how to throw a knife!" Mr. Rukin nodded. He proceeded to ask him more question and Gon happily answered. Eventually he chuckled and patted gon's head. "alright, get to bed" Gon smiled. "goodnight Mr. and Ms. Rukin!" he said cheerfully, then made his way to the cabins. There were two sets of bunk beds, and some random items strewn about. Jake and Jamie shared one, and him and June shared the other. He climbed up onto the top bunk, then laid down with a soft sigh, pulling a deerskin blanket over himself.

He looked up at the moon, a bright crescent in the sky. Gon wondered again how he'd gotten here. He thought he took a boat, yeah that was it. They advertised a fun adventure to a unique place. Then the boat had been swamped with water and nearly sank...next thing he knew he was at a port, in a strange place. His license stopped working, and whenever he asked about hunters all anyone would talk about were the ones who felled game.

He'd run into the small pack while he was out hunting, and they'd agreed to take him in. Gon sighed, there was one problem. They thought he was also, a werewolf. Since he was strong and was used to living in the wilderness, and he had that strong nose, they just kind of assumed. Gon hadn't told them otherwise, but now he wished he did. Because one day they'd probably realize he wasn't one of them...and he'd have no place to lay his head at night
