twenty-three || a tangled adventure!

✧˖*°࿐

Taehyun's eyes slowly began to open, a breathy groan leaving his throat while he slowly regained his consciousness, his entire body was numb yet tingling with sharp pain, as if it there were invisible needles poking at him from all directions while everything was making him so sensitive, like his senses had heightened or something.

He laid there on what it seemed to be a cool yet hard solid surface made out of stone, his heart was throbbing so hard against his chest it really did feel like it was about to pop out and escape, yet he laid there still and silent, trying to make the pain fade away.

It took him a moment to fully come back to his senses, the blood circulation in his body finally running again which made that disgusting numbing pain fade away little by little, but he knew he had to get up and move soon for it to be fully gone.

His eyes just lingered on the ceiling above him which was adorned with varieties of paintings and artworks all over, not a single blank spot in sight, it actually helped him fight off the throbbing headache eating his head away.

Taehyun laid there for a few more minutes until he finally recovered, exhaling an exhausted sigh as he — wait a damn minute why the fuck did it feel like his ear was wet?

Actually, scratch that, his ear was wet.

The male began to slowly turn his head while the uncomfortable wet sensation in his ear didn't once fade away, slowly driving him crazy. It wasn't until he had caught a glimpse of something small... and... green...?

Holy shit — was that a... a lizard????

His eyes widened in shock until he noticed that the lizards mouth was wide open in front of him, something long and pink stretching out all the way towards his ear, that's when it finally hit him as to what that weird sensation in his ear was.

The... lizards tongue... was IN his ear.

. . .

"AAAHHHH EW EW EW!!!" Taehyun screamed loudly, sitting up nearly instantly while swatting the gross tongue out of his ear. "EW! GROSS— what the HELL?!"

Without even thinking, Taehyun had suddenly swung his hand to the side and slapped the poor lizard, sending it flying across the room as it squealed loudly, a soft thud echoed out once it had hit the wall and fell onto the ground, remaining still.

Oh god.

OH GOD.

Taehyun sat there in horror, the small lizard unresponsive and not moving at all when he had tried to ask it if it was okay, OH GOD HE KILLED A LIZARD—

"Ouch! What was that for?! You're so mean!"

Taehyun's breath hitched when he heard a squeaky voice speak up, his eyes widening when he saw the lizard getting back up on its feet and looking over towards him with an angry expression, its green body fading to a bright shade of red.

Oh man, not only did he nearly kill the lizard but now it was talking to him and a bright shade of red! Shit, should he even be surprised at this point? He had to talk to rats along with a fish and crab duo — wait a damn minute.

Taehyun squinted his eyes, slowly sitting up properly and pressed his hands onto the ground to keep him bounded, a weird anxious sensation swirling in his gut. "...Huening Kai...? Is that you...?"

"Huening Kai?! Who on earth is that?!" The lizard squeaked, flushing a darker shade of red which meant it was definitely not Huening Kai!. "That's not even my name, how could you get my name wrong?! We've known each other for ten years!"

Hold on a second...

If this lizard wasn't Huening Kai... then... it must be someone who's always cranky and get ticks off at the littlest things... it couldn't be Beomgyu, he was certain that the fairytale wouldn't turn the elder into a lizard... so this must be...

"...Yeonjun...?"

"That's my name!" The lizard squeaked happily, a proud smug expression somehow appeared on its face as it turned a light shade of green again. "Don't forget it, now why did you slap me?!"

"Y-You're a lizard...?" Taehyun stuttered out softly, his eyes widening in shock, it wasn't the most freakiest thing ever... the elder was literally a bird in the last fairytale.

"I'm not a lizard, Taehyun!" Yeonjun hissed angrily, flushing a light shade of red, wow he was very colorful and expressive. "I'm a chameleon, there's a difference! Don't compare me to those eye licking losers!"

Aren't... lizards and chameleons the same thing...? Taehyun tilted his head, Yeonjun's little rant and squeaks becoming muffled nonsense in his head. Okay- whatever, that doesn't matter! I need to find out what fairytale we're in and where the hell Choi was sent off to.

The male just ignored Yeonjun's angry chirps of nonsense and shook his head which strangely felt more... heavier than usual, but he didn't pay no mind to it until he had tried to stand up — only to stumble back down from the heavy weight on his head.

"Wh-What the?!" Taehyun gasped out, turning around to see what had dragged him down.

Slowly turning his head, his eyes landed on what seemed to be... blonde... golden... hair...? His breath hitched when he slowly realized that, it was his hair! Holy fuck- his once short red hair had turned into blonde golden hair once again, but this time... it was longer, extremely longer than usual.

With a shaky breath, the male slowly stood up, feeling long strands of hair cascading down his shoulders and down his back, finally looking around when he realized that the hair around him surrounded him like a spiraling circle, his mind immediately blanking out when he saw it stretch out from the ground to the staircase then all the way up towards the wooden pillars on the ceiling, hanging slightly.

Okay.

This is fine.

It's all fine, it's just really... really... long hair that seemed to be seventy to eighty feet long surrounding him and hanging off of the ceiling, this wasn't as bad having a fish tail for legs.

It's all fine!

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!" Taehyun screamed loudly, grabbing onto his scalp as he tried to pull it off — as if it were a wig or something. "HOW THE HELL?!"

The male stumbled around in a crazed frenzy, spinning wildly as he pulled on every strand of hair on his scalp to somehow get it off until he had stumbled back too far and tripped on his own hair — causing him to crash down onto the ground as a pained wheeze was forced out of his chest.

What the fuck?! What the hell?! Taehyun started to freak out again as he sat up and looked around at the hair that surrounded him, his breathing heavy as he slowly began to freak out. This- my hair- no way! Why's it so fucking long?!

The male immediately stumbled up onto his feet, desperately searching around for scissors or something! He is not going to go out and find Choi with this nuisance of a hair, it's way too long to even walk normally!

What kind of fairytale has someone who has long ass fucking hair anyway— oh wait.

Taehyun suddenly paused in front of a mirror, his eyes widening in realization when the gears in his head slowly started to turn until it finally clicked, his head slowly moving over towards where the mirror was, getting a proper look at his appearance.

Instead of some wack ass mermaid tail and being uncomfortably shirtless, he was now wearing a flowy blouse made out of the softest fabric ever, dyed with a pretty lavender shade. It had a lace up front with delicate ties, complimented with ruffle details along the neckline while the long, flowy sleeves ended with ruffled cuffs.

He also noticed how he had high waisted trousers made out of white fabric that wrapped around his waist and hips perfectly, adorning his curves perfectly while a row of pretty iridescent light purple buttons were on each sides of his waistband, securing it tightly.

The male noticed that there was a lack of shoes or socks on his feet, which made him feel a bit... weird, but he was too distracted by the beautiful yet freaky golden hair cascading down his figure.

"Holy fuck..." Taehyun breathed out, noticing how he had small freckles all over his face, that was new. "I'm... I'm in..."

There's only one damn fairytale with a princess that has long ass golden hair and a crazy pet lizard- erm, chameleon.

"I'm... in... Tangled..." He breathed out in shock, falling onto his knees as the waves of shock became too much.

The fourth fairytale that they had landed in was Tangled.

Shit shit shit! Taehyun began to slowly freak out, grabbing his freakishly long hair and paced around the room like a stressed out mother. What the hell?! Why did I have to be the dumb princess in this fairytale?! Wasn't it supposed to be Choi? He's supposed to be the princess, not me!

The male breathed out a heavy breath full of stress, looking around until he saw a wooden chair with red cushions in the corner of the room, maybe it was better to sit the fuck down instead of pacing around the room and tripping over his long ass snake like hair every damn second.

As he walked over towards the chair and struggled to drag it over towards the center, hissing and wincing every now and then because it had tugged on some strands of hair, but eventually he managed to get it to the middle.

Okay, this all doesn't make sense. Taehyun pursed his lips tightly as he sat down in the chair which wasn't really comfortable at all. Why can't I remember anything from the last fairytale before he fell into the rabbit hole? All I remember was arriving back at shore with Choi but then... The male paused, his memory a blur.

Taehyun sighed softly in frustration, turning his head over towards where he heard soft sounds of squeaking, seeing Yeonjun trying to shove an entire grape inside of his mouth... the size of it was literally bigger than his small ass lizard body, but he decided to take a blind eye towards what was happening, hopefully he doesn't pop or whatever.

The male brought his hands up to his head and began to soothe out the faint aching pain that was beginning to form, this was all so... ugh! He shouldn't give up now, they need to finish this fairytale and then the next one is the last fairytale, they're so close yet so far away from escaping this magical hell hole.

There's no doubt that Choi is out there somewhere being the prince of this fairytale.. Taehyun thought, glancing over towards the large window with wooden frames that was wide open, allowing air to flow inside ever so faintly. Shit, I've only watched Tangled once, I never bothered watching it more than once since I found it overrated.

All of a sudden, the faint memory of the elders worried expression flashed through his mind, causing a little spark inside of his heart to ignite while small butterflies began to swirl around in his stomach. The faint feeling of having his arms around him so tight, it made him melt from the warmth.

He felt a wave of heat rush up from his neck, spreading all across his cheeks which made his entire body heat up even more when he remembered the feeling of Beomgyu kissing him first.

Right away, his jaw clenched tightly when a faint wave of anger flushed all over him — yet his heart and stomach weren't cooperating with said emotion. Half of him was pissed off that he had to be kissed by Choi again yet the other half was... was... wishing for more...?

It was really confusing him now, for the past few days or however long he had spent in that god awful fairytale with the elder had made everything shift inside of him, new emotions bubbling up towards the surface — threatening to break through, to unleash an overwhelming sensation that he couldn't control.

He hates it, he hates it so much.

Taehyun squeezed his eyes closed as he hissed softly, trying to get the memory of the elder looking at him so warmly out of his head, he needed to get them home as soon as possible, he can't stand it anymore.

I'm so scared. He thought, his hands beginning to tremble as flashbacks of the events he had gone through in the last fairytales appeared in his mind. I don't think I can stand this any longer, there's so much shit being thrown at us I- I can't-

From the fight with Maleficent and being brutally injured to fighting the evil sea witch and nearly being swept away by a giant whirlpool vortex while fighting for his life, it was all too overwhelming.

It frightened him, but... what frightened him the most was the thought of... losing Beomgyu again.

It was cut close in The Little Mermaid, he still doesn't know why that idiot would ever stay in a situation like that to where his life was on the line, he shouldn't have been there.

It terrified him, the idea of being stuck in a fairytale without Beomgyu made his heart hurt.

Anger, hatred, frustration... all of those emotions that he had purely felt only towards Beomgyu had slowly simmered down into a calm lake... but now new emotions were bubbling up like an uprising tsunami, ready to sweep him away to drown.

After a few minutes, the male could no longer withstand the dreadful thoughts that tainted his mind, he needed to find Beomgyu as fast as he could so they could escape this fairytale wonderland once and for all.

What was the happily ever after for Tangled...? Taehyun thought as he stood up from the chair, ignoring the way Yeonjun was choking on an orange slice. It wasn't anything dramatic... right? I can barely remember.

It wasn't until he had fully stood up and turned his head over towards where the large fireplace was, tilting his head up until his eyes landed on a wall painted with a beautiful mural. A dark blue color mainly covering the entire thing, with other colors fading into it, giving the imagery of a fading sunset sky, allowing the night to reign in the sky in its place.

Just below it were large green hills swerving up and down along with a set of trees in front of it, his breath hitching when his eyes landed on someone who was sitting down on the trees, someone who looked identical to him... somewhat. Yeah, it was definitely him considering the long hair flowing down the small figure.

He noticed that little painted him was looking up, his head tilting in that same direction before his eyes landed on a series of golden yellow spears scattered in a one way direction, as if they were —

"...Floating...Lights..." Taehyun breathed out before suddenly pausing, what in the world did he just call them?

Floating lights? That wasn't the name of what was painted on the wall, so why in the world did he call them that?

Feeling a bit anxious about something so small that felt so important to him, the male looked around before glancing down at his hair, a tingling sensation began to coarse through his veins as if everything was so... familiar.

He was hesitant at first, but soon enough he grabbed a large strand of hair and held onto it, looking over towards the mural one more time before glancing up at the wooden frame above it connecting to the ceiling, with a deep breath the male threw the large chunk of hair towards the wooden frame, watching it wrap around it with ease.

"What the...?" Taehyun gasped out, the familiar feeling crashing down upon him like he had done this before.

Glancing down at the hair, the male wrapped his arms around the surprisingly thick strands and pulled on it a little, noticing how secure it was and how it didn't really hurt his scalp anymore.

Backing up just a little bit, the male breathed out softly before rushing forward just a little bit before tugging onto the strands of hair, lifting himself up as he swung up and over onto the platform on the fireplace, landing somewhat cleanly before falling onto his knees in shock.

Taehyun breathed out heavily, holding onto his chest tightly as he tried to breathe out properly, but after literally swinging on his hair — something which he did not know he could do — it was kinda freaking him out!

"Okay, okay," He breathed out, slowly standing up and trying not to look over his shoulder towards the ground. "Floating lights, happily ever after."

The male turned towards the mural on the wall, taking a tiiiinnnyyy step back while tilting his head up to examine what was in front of him. The painting really did look prettier closer, he could see all the fine small details complimenting the beautiful imagery of floating lanterns in the night time sky.

It was really beautiful, Taehyun couldn't help but feel so drawn towards it as he raised a hand and gently dragged his fingertips across the wall, the faint smell of paint mixing in with his other senses while his eyes slowly took in all of the details, mainly focusing on the pretty golden lights drawn.

In Tangled, Rapunzel has been locked in a tower for a long time due to some reason he could barely remember. Until one day, she frees herself with the help of her prince and they go to the kingdom where they watch the golden lights together.

"So the happily ever after should be..." Taehyun paused, furrowing his eyebrows as he thought about it more clearly. "It should be... watching the golden lights...? That's easy."

What exactly were the floating lights called? How come the correct name or word for it didn't appear in his head at all? It was like he was actually becoming the main character for the fairytale—

wait.

Taehyun suddenly froze, his fingertips pausing right on the painted figure of himself, his eyes widening in realization.

There's a reason why in the last fairytale he couldn't remember the name of the goddamn fork he had found with fish Huening Kai, there was a reason why he struggled to use his legs at first, there was a reason why he was slowly forgetting how to write on paper.

There's a reason why right now, he couldn't remember the name of the floating lights painted onto the wall.

Holy shit... He let out a terrified gasp, his face flushing pale when he finally realized. The longer we're in this fairytale... the more we forget about everything and become part of the fairytale.

That definitely made things a lot worse, so without a second thought the male jumped down from the fireplace, ignoring how the impact slightly stung before he ran towards the open window, looking out before his jaw dropped in horror.

He should've known right away that he would be stuck inside of a tall ass fucking tower, nearly seventy-three feet above ground, surrounded by large stone walls and nature life.

Taehyun leaned more out, glancing down before his nose scrunched up in slight discomfort when the multiple flower pots surrounding the outside window made his nose itch, but he decided to ignore it.

He needed to get out of this tower soon, he needed to go out and find Beomgyu as soon as possible, where even was the elder? He could be anywhere in this stupid ass kingdom, he just hopes he's smart enough to figure out what fairytale they're in.

It really frustrated him, why do they always have to go out looking for one another? Why do they wake up in separate locations? After falling down into their fourth rabbit hole, he slowly started to get the idea of it, whoever is the first to pass out and be brought to another rabbit hole was the prince of the fairytale, which kinda bothered him.

I thought we'd be switching roles again. Taehyun frowned, still looking for a way to get down, like a long ladder or something. It would make sense, I should be the prince of this fairytale... not him! Wait a minute is Rapunzel's prince even a prince? This is so stupid!

Taehyun groaned loudly after noticing that there was really no way to escape this tower, his heart was really hurting now... it was like the longer he was away from the elder the more his stomach swirled with uneasiness and anxiety, he needed to find him soon.

"Oh! Are you finally going to leave the tower now, Taehyun?" Yeonjun squeaked next a him, suddenly appearing out of no where, sitting at the edge of the window sill. "You know your mother won't be very happy!"

Taehyun turned his head, tilting it slightly like a lost puppy. "I want to, but I don't know how." He said, ignoring the fact the lizard mentioned something about an angry mother, his angry mother.

"That's no issue, just use your hair! Like how you used it to swing around and paint all of those pretty arts on the walls and ceilings!" Yeonjun said proudly, turning around as his little tail pointed towards the ground. "Just swing it onto the hook above your head and slide down!"

The males eyebrows scrunched in slight confusing, turning his head up towards where Yeonjun mentioned, his eyes landing on a giant hook above him. It slowly started to click in his head once again, looking over his shoulder towards his long hair, the male sucked in a sharp breath before grabbing it with both of his hands and pulling it close.

"Oh, by the way," Taehyun spoke up, glancing over towards Yeonjun while he hooked some hair over the hook and tossed the rest out the window, feeling it hang down. "Do you know the name of the floating lights on the wall? Why are they there?"

"Did you really forget?" Yeonjun gasped, which made Taehyun purse his lips. "Those are your dreams! The floating lights are these pretty floating lights that appear on your birthday — only on your birthday!"

Taehyun's eyes widened slightly when he said that, the fairytale clicking in his head when he remembered that Rapunzel only left her tower to see the floating lights that appeared each year only on her birthday, which meant that...?

"Your birthday is tomorrow Taehyun! You're turning eighteen!"

That really shocked him now, time worked so weirdly in this fairytale life, but when the thought of spending his "birthday" with the elder appeared in his mind after five long years, he couldn't help but feel a bit of heat rush up to his face, which made him slightly angry for even thinking about that!

With a deep breath, Taehyun shoved that little desire away and climbed out of the window, standing up on the sill as he held onto his hair, glancing down at the ground before feeling his entire world freeze.

It was like his vision had suddenly stretched out, his heart dropped down to his stomach while his throat started to become more dry. He felt his hands beginning to tremble as all of the strength in his legs nearly gave out when he had looked down at the ground which seemed so... so far.

He slowly started to become nauseous and dizzy, immediately covering his mouth when he felt a disgusting gag come up, he could no longer handle that sickening sensation and soon enough pushed himself away from the window sill, rushing back inside of the tower before collapsing onto the floor, breathing loudly as the nausea slowly faded away.

"Hey! Are you okay?!" Yeonjun asked worriedly, rushing over towards the male who slowly sat up and breathed heavily. "What's wrong? Do you need water?"

"I-I'm fine," Taehyun groaned out, moving his long hair out of his face which was really starting to get annoying, maybe he should cut it soon or something. "I just felt sick."

Yeonjun placed one of his small foot onto the males wrist, causing Taehyun to smile warmly towards his best friend before sitting up properly, tucking his long strands behind his ear as he breathed out properly, okay maybe escaping wasn't really going to be easy if he felt like passing out every time.

With a loud frustrated sigh, the male tilting his head back and looked up at the ceiling which had a small square hatch open, allowing more sunlight beams to be let into the tower. It was frustrating him now, he knew it would probably take Beomgyu a couple hours to find him or something.

"Hey, Yeonjun, what time is it?" Taehyun asked, standing up as he soothed out his clothes, he really wishes he had his phone or something but too bad technology wasn't invented in the 1800s.

"Huh? Oh! It should be seven in the morning! Why?"

Taehyun pursed his lips tightly, puffing his cheeks out as he looked around the tower, he began to notice how some things seemed out of place and how the ground was slightly dusty, so walking towards the kitchen he grabbed what seemed to be a broom and looked at the little chameleon in front of him.

He needed something to distract himself from how anxious he was, and how impatient he was waiting for Beomgyu.

"Let's sweep til' the floors all clean, yeah?"

Taehyun breathed out loudly, standing up properly as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead before looking around the tower that was so shiny and spotless! He also had time to do laundry with the blankets around and spare clothes he had, he was so productive instead of sobbing in the middle of the room because he's stuck in another fairytale!

The male placed the remaining blankets away in a small closet before heading back downstairs, easily avoiding his hair which he soon learned how to counter and not trip on. Having very long hair that was strong as hell really made it easier to clean the small little corners or high areas.

Once he made it down to the main floor, the male looked around and sighed, he doesn't know what to do know... maybe he should check what time it was, hopefully it was afternoon time since he spent a while cleaning and doing laundry.

What the hell, it was only 7:15?

"What the fuck?!" He exclaimed angrily, looking around the very clean tower.

How has it only been fifteen minutes of cleaning?! He swore it was more than that, now he has to find a way to kill more time while waiting for the elder who was doing who knows what!

Taehyun groaned loudly, walking away from the clock before noticing three books in a small shelf that seemed pretty thick, and as someone who enjoyed reading most of the time, maybe he can kill time using those books.

"Let's see..." He mumbled, ignoring how Yeonjun had hopped onto his shoulder and began to rub his scaly head against his cheek. "Books... about... botany...? Baking? Oh, here's a book about... animals."

Well, those certainly weren't interesting book topics, but they'll make do for now.

He wasn't really interested in botany, he was more of an astronomy person, hence why in the last fairytale he was so excited being out in that lagoon to stargaze... with... Beomgyu.

Taehyun's eyebrows furrowed slightly when he thought about the elder again, a part of him felt so empty being trapped and alone in this tower, which was really different from how he felt in the last fairytales where he would kill to be away and alone from him.

The memory of fighting against the sea witch flashed in his head again, it was a really terrifying moment. It was definitely worse than Sleeping Beauty, at least he was on the solid ground for that fight.

He had placed a lot of trust into Beomgyu, the same for the elder as well.

It made his heart feel so weird when he had felt their hands intertwine, the moment he said he trusted the elder felt unreal, was it the heat of the moment? He wasn't sure, he's still hesitant and nervous about this whole thing.

But after a few minutes of silently thinking about it, he could no longer ignore the way his heart fluttered up when he remembered the warmth of having Beomgyu's arms around him, how his expression and words were so sincere.

...maybe, it wasn't a bad thing, maybe he can finally... let his walls down and fully trust him again.

Although they talked about it already, he wants to talk about that night with the elder again, with his voice this time.

It was funny, he couldn't help but laugh a little because of how dumb he seemed. How did he go from hating the elder with all of his heart to now, where his heart now yearns to have him by his side with his stupidly dumb pretty face.

Beomgyu had also... called him by his name.

Not some stupid nickname to make fun of him, not 'Kang', not anything.

Taehyun, he called him Taehyun.

Those tiny little butterflies that were swirling in his stomach certainly became bigger, it was now making him flush a shade of pink while his heart was racing so much. They were friends... right? Still in process but, being friends with someone shouldn't make his stomach flutter up like this.

Taehyun groaned loudly, instantly slamming his face into the book with a hard thud which startled Yeonjun, but he didn't bother asking since his face was heating up like crazy.

Yeah, he needed to distract himself before he actually goes insane.

He decided to sit at the window alcove with nice looking pillows to read these not so interesting books, hopefully it can help distract him from a specific male that was tainting his mind.

After about two hours of reading all three books, the moment Taehyun finished all three books and learned some interesting things that definitely won't stick in his mind, he found out that it was only nine in the morning now.

Man, now he definitely needed to do something to kill time.

So, spending a bit of time deciding what to do while carefully feeding Yeonjun some orange slices, Taehyun noticed that there was a small empty blank spot near one part of the ceiling, so using his hair to climb up and secure himself and using the little bit of artistic skills he had, he decided on painting a pretty flower, the first one that came to mind was a red carnation.

Once he was done, he was definitely proud of how it turned out, staring at it with pride before heading back down to the ground to find something else to keep him busy, and after searching aimlessly around the room he had finally found an old guitar, he wasn't very good with instruments... that was Beomgyu's speciality, but he decided to give it a go.

Which was a bit embarrassing on his part since he doesn't know how to tune it or even play it properly, so he quickly abandoned that after Yeonjun shrieked and hid away from him.

Right after he placed the guitar away, he found some knitting supplies which had him interested. At his school, Huening Kai had once forced him to join the knitting club for the day which was a bit boring since he found no good reason to even come back, but he decided to use his very little knowledge on knitting to create a small square fabric that Yeonjun could lay on.

Soon enough, his stomach began to grumble, the hunger eating him alive which forced him to go to the small kitchen where he looked around to find some ingredients to make food with, which wasn't much but he eventually found some things to make a nice sandwich.

After that, he moved on to solving some puzzles... then playing darts... then using the baking book to bake some cookies since Yeonjun was complaining about not having anything sweet around, which turned out pretty good.

It was all a blur after that, he had done some crazy things just to keep him occupied while waiting for Beomgyu like papier-mache, attempting to recreate Yeonjun using paper which just scared the poor lizard.

Then he played some chess with Yeonjun, who had suggested that Taehyun should dance or ballet or something to keep him occupied! But the thought of dancing again made his face grimace, his fingers twitch with discomfort as he kindly rejected the idea before continuing on with his chess game.

Dancing... just didn't feel good anymore.

After the chess game, he had found materials and clay for pottery... spending a good hour on that before Yeonjun suggested he make some candles to light the place up which didn't seem to bad.

Soon enough, he found himself stretching loudly, easing his sore muscles before noticing that his hair started to become a bit tangled, so using the brush that Yeonjun handed him he began to brush and brush and brush and brush his hair... which took way too long.

After five long hours, it was finally afternoon time, and there was still no sign of Beomgyu anywhere which started to make his mind anxious, but before he could even think about it deeper he—

"Taehyun! Let down your hair!"

Taehyun's head snapped up in shock, dropping the small brush in his hand before looking over towards the window where he had heard a voice that was too high to be Beomgyu's, which made him a bit disappointed.

"Oh! Your mother's back!" Yeonjun squeaked, gaining his attention. "You should ask her to take you to see the floating lights! You'll be eighteen, so she has to say yes!"

That's not a bad idea... but wasn't Rapunzel's mother kinda crazy? He scrunched his eyebrows, kinda doubting his friend. Maybe I should... I have to look for Choi, oh god... what if he's hurt? I swear!—

"Taehyun-ah!" The voice called out again. "I'm not getting any younger down here! Let me up, dear!"

"O-Oh, coming!" Taehyun said loudly, rushing over towards the large window and leaned out to see who was at the bottom, but he couldn't see her face since she was wearing a hood.

Not wanting to irritate the woman below any more, he quickly swung a large part of his hair around the hook before scooping the rest up, heaving loudly as he threw it over the edge for the woman to grab onto.

Once he felt a soft tug, it meant the woman was secured and ready to be brought up, Taehyun stood there in confusing for a few minutes before realizing that he had to pull his own hair up, so with a dreaded sigh, he grabbed onto his hair and began heaving loudly, slowly bringing the woman up who hung on with ease.

After thirty seconds of pulling his heavy hair up, he soon stumbled back onto his butt as the woman stood up on the window sill happily, taking off her hood to reveal— what the?! Ms. Yoo?!

Yoo Si-ah, better known as Ms. Yoo in his school was the newest transfer teacher starting her first year there, she taught a class for the first years only but he couldn't remember what class.

"Oh, my Taehyun!" Ms. Yoo squealed loudly, rushing over towards him before practically cupping his face and squishing his cheeks. "My flower! How you manage to pull me up every single time without fail, is it hard?"

Taehyun felt a bit flustered by the sudden affection, but after mentally slapping himself for being suspiciously silently, he strained a smile. "Oh, um... it's nothing—"

"Then I don't know why it takes you so long!" Ms. Yoo said happily, poking the tip of his nose before walking away towards a large body mirror — leaving him behind a bit confused.

He stood there frozen for a few seconds, dumbfounded and just blinking until he shook his head and looked over towards Ms. Yoo who was checking herself out in the mirror, looking at every angle of her face while smiling softly.

Taehyun then looked over towards Yeonjun who was hidden underneath a chair, pointing his tail towards Ms. Yoo before giving him a cheeky thumbs up. That's right, he needs to ask the question.

"Soo... uh... mother," Taehyun said hesitantly, a bit uncomfortable calling a teacher mom but whatever. "I have a question..."

"Ohhh, Taehyun, come here!" Ms. Yoo said, grabbing onto the males wrist before dragging him on over towards the mirror. "Do you see that in the mirror? I see a beautiful, smart, independent person!"

A small smile began to spread on his lips, staring at himself, Ms. Yoo's words really made him feel so confid—

"Oh look! You're here too!"

The smile instantly dropped down to a blank face, side eyeing Ms. Yoo next to him, he shook his head as he ignored her loud laughing.

"Anyways..." He mumbled softly, a bit irritated as he gently took her hand off of his wrist to which she didn't mind at all — just going back to examine her own face. "So, I have a question and I really hope you can answer it but uhm so you know tomorrow is my—"

"Taehyun," Ms. Yoo spoke up, interrupting him as she looked over towards the male while holding onto her own hand. "I'm feeling a bit unwell, care to sing for me?"

"Sing...?" He repeated in confusion before glancing down at his hair, gasping in realization. "Oh! Right, sing!"

Right away, Taehyun quickly shuffled around the room as he pulled out the red chair towards the center of the room again and a tiny stool to sit on, grabbing the hairbrush he had used earlier and handed it to Ms. Yoo who yelped loudly when he accidentally forced her to sit down while he sat on the stool, placing his hair onto her lap.

Oh shit. Taehyun froze. I don't remember the song.

"Is everything alright, Taehyun?"

The male sat there frozen, he couldn't just plainly admit to not knowing the song that activates the powers, so after seconds of panicking and digging through his memory — it finally clicked in his head! The only issue... was he forgot how the rhythm goes.

...man, fuck it.

"Flower... gleam, and glow..." Taehyun began to sing softly, remembering the first three words that started the song. "Let your power shine...."

Right away, he felt a spark of electricity go through him as the root of his hair began to glow, a beautiful golden color illuminating brightly as it began to cascade down the strands of his hair like an enchanting waterfall, causing it to glow.

His eyes began to sparkle when he realized that it was working, smiling a little bit, alright! No time to waste!

"Make the clock reverse," He continued on, grimacing slightly when he had voice cracked a little, he hasn't sang in such a long time. "Bring back what once was mine..."

Okay, this was going too slow.

"Healwhathasbeenhurtchangethefatesdesign—"

"Taehyun! Wait!" Ms. Yoo exclaimed when he had suddenly started rapping the damn incantation, her eyes widening as she quickly brushed his hair when the golden hue began to rush down faster. "Hey!—"

"Savewhathasbeenlostbringbackwhatonce
wasminewhatoncewasmine!"

Yep, he definitely nailed that.

"Kang Taehyun!" Ms. Yoo said a bit angrily, placing down his hair as she stood up, but he did notice how she seemed more... younger now. "What is with you?!"

"Okay so!" Taehyun stood up, rushing over to her. "I wanted to tell you something since tomorrow is a really big day apparently, but you weren't really listening so I'm just going to say it right now — it's my birthday tomorrow!"

Ms. Yoo tilted her head and scrunched her eyebrows before breaking into a huge smile as she stood up and shook her head. "That can't be it, I distinctly remember that your birthday was last year."

Taehyun squinted his eyes slightly while he watched her walk away. "Well uh, that's the thing about birthdays, they're kinda an annual thing... y'know...?"

"Is that so?"

Okay, now it was really starting to irritate Taehyun, the way she wasn't listening to him properly at all was really starting to get on his nerves! But after taking a deep calm breath to recollect his thoughts, receiving an encouraging nod from Yeonjun, he just blurt it out.

"I-I want to go outside to see the floating lights!"

Ms. Yoo suddenly paused taking the fresh fruits out of her basket, her eyes widening as she turned her head and looked at the male over her shoulder, staring at him as if he had said the most craziest thing ever.

"What?"

"I was hoping you could take me outside," So I can escape from you and find Choi. "To take me to see the floating lights, you know?"

Taehyun quickly ran over towards the fireplace and heaved himself up, moving the red curtain away from the area to expose the painting of the floating lights he never remembered painting before but now here it was!

Ms. Yoo's expression eased down when she looked at the painting, chuckling softly as she shook her head and continued on placing the fruits into the fruit basket. "Ahh! You mean the stars! Just look from your window dear."

Taehyun frowned slightly, slowly moving down from the fireplace and stood there in the center before he remembered what Yeonjun had told him. "But here's the thing! They only ever appear on my birthday, just my birthday, so I really need to see them because I feel like they're calling out to me—"

"Taehyun." Ms. Yoo's tone became cold, his eyes widening from the shift. "You want to go outside? Please, you're as fragile as a flower."

"But—"

"Nope! Listen to me, going outside is dangerous work!" Ms. Yoo said, walking
over to him as she gently ran her fingers through his hair. "There are so many bad people in the world for someone as kind as you! Especially with your beautiful hair... something could go wrong, I swear!"

"Yeah but I really need—"

"So let's drop this conversation, yeah?" Ms. Yoo smiled warmly, but it was almost like a threat as she backed away and went back over towards the fruit basket.

Taehyun felt fear wash through him, he was someone who really did not handle anyone else's bullshit or rude behavior, so why couldn't he speak up and just scream at her to let him go? It was as if he was fearing the woman in front of him, deeply.

"Alright now! I must go get more things, I'll be back later!"

Without any other words, Taehyun nodded his head and walked over towards the window, repeating the same actions as earlier while Ms. Yoo gently patted his head before slowly dropping down back to the ground using his hair.

"I'll see you in a bit, my flower!" She said loudly for him to hear, waving happily as she began to walk away.

Taehyun frowned slightly when she finally left, feeling his legs give up as he weakly sank down onto the ground, staring out at the window... man why does he always get the bad side of things? This fairytale world is really messing him up.

He felt so alone, even with Yeonjun at his side... it just wasn't enough for him to feel better.

But when the memory of a specific male flashed through his mind, remembering his soft expression and warm smile...

...he couldn't help but feel a little bit better waiting on him for a little while more.

"Hey, pretty boy, wake up!"

Beomgyu's eyes slowly began to open, hearing faint muffled voices in the background before letting out a sharp hiss of pain, holding onto his head which was throbbing like crazy.

"Hey! You finally awake? We can't keep stalling anymore, Choi."

The male slowly began to sit up, looking around in confusion as his vision began to clear up, where the fuck was he and why the hell was it so windy? Wasn't he supposed to wake up in some sort of fancy bedroom or crappy ass cottage that was on the brink of collapsing?

In the corner of his eye, he noticed movement from there which made him snap his head in that direction, his eyes widening when he looked up and made eye contact with... Xion and Dongmyeong?

Oh! He remembers them, they were twin brothers who were in one of the local mini bands their school had! He never really talked to them though... just seen them around, so it was a bit freaky seeing them wearing all black and staring at him while they were on a rooftop.

Wait a minute.

WHY THE FUCK WAS HE ON A LARGE ROOFTOP OF A DAMN PALACE?!

Beomgyu shrieked in horror as he scattered onto his feet, breathing heavily as he looked over towards the view in front of him, he was definitely standing on the center part of a rooftop belonging to the huge palace of the kingdom, right before him was the view of the entire kingdoms town... why was this place built on a hilly island? The landscape is so weird...

Taking a step back, the male glanced down while his eyes widened seeing his reflection and appearance.

Instead of black short hair, It was changed to a brown color while it was longer, just reaching the tips of his shoulders... another wolf cut style, great! He also glanced down at his outfit which consisted of a white long sleeved button up with the sleeves slightly cuffed up while they were tucked into a pair of beige pants that were a bit tight on him, along with the ends of the pants being stuffed into brown boots which were a bit ugly.

On top of the white button up shirt was a blue vest made out of some rough fabric, it was sorta suffocating him as well since it was so tight around his waist holy shit what's with every single clothing he wore having some sort of corset—

"Hey!" Xion called out, obviously getting irritated with the male. "Enough admiring yourself and tie this rope around your waist! We have to get this job done by tonight!"

Beomgyu stood there in confusion, opening his mouth to ask about what the hell he was talking about until a thick and heavy rope was thrown into his chest, causing him to wheeze out a pained breath as he grabbed onto the rope, staring at it with shock.

What the fuck is happening? He began to become a little bit nervous, the two twins were staring at him so intensely it was giving him chills. Shit, I need to find Taehyun soon, what fairytale is this? Why am I—

His eyes soon landed on an open hatch of the rooftop, his eyes widening as his hands froze midway through tying the rope around his waist. Oh shit, wait a minute, there's a reason why the twins were wearing black.

"What the fuck?!" Beomgyu shrieked loudly before covering his mouth, earning a harsh glare from the twins. "Are we- what the fuck- stealing?!"

"No, we're going to borrow the crown," Dongmyeong said sweetly, which made Beomgyu ease down just a little—

"Of course we're stealing the fucking crown you idiot! Now hurry up!" The male suddenly snapped, causing him to flinch as he unconsciously nodded and began securing the rope around his waist further.

Okay, this is most definitely the weirdest fairytale, why the hell am I a... a thief?! He tried to calm himself down, tugging on the rope a couple of times, hoping it doesn't snap on him. Shit, this isn't good, I can't be doing this! I need to find Taehyun, but where the hell would he be? Is he the princess of this fairytale again? This is so stupid I'm—

Just before he could finish his thoughts, the back of his shirt was suddenly pulled forward, causing him to stumble towards the open area while falling onto his knees, his head just peeking over the edge where he saw a huge open area with a pretty crown in the middle, surrounded by royal guards protecting it.

"Take this," Xion spoke up, shoving a brown satchel into his hands quite harshly before forcing him to stand up. "Retrieve the crown so we can fucking get out of here, worth a lot of good gold coins."

Was this really necessary? Did he really have to steal some goddamn crown for gold coins?! Why can't they just get jobs like normal civilians of a royal kingdom instead of stealing!

All of those wishes and thoughts were definitely not answered the moment he was pushed down into the opening, having to cover his mouth tightly as he held onto the satchel tightly with his other hand, being lowered slowly down just above where the crown was.

Nervous was far beyond what Beomgyu felt, he literally was convinced that if he even breathed wrong then the guards would immediately turn around and stab him dead with their flimsy swords.

Okay. Beomgyu silently breathed out when he was right above the crown that was being covered by a glass dome. Just grab the crown, secure it, and then get the fuck out of here so you can find Taehyun.

The memory of what had happened in the last fairytale really did a number on him, he had never felt so anxious and worried about the younger so much in his life. Just how cruel can this fairytale world be? Turning someone into sea foam while offering the other person an early escape back to reality?

A small part of him wanted to accept the offer, after experiencing the worst moments ever in this damn fairytale wonderland he wanted nothing but to go home... but... the feeling of nearly losing Taehyun was more stronger than his urge to go home.

Just like Taehyun said, they're going to go home together.

Glancing back down at the crown just below him, Beomgyu took a deep breath before carefully lifting up the glass dome, tucking it under his arm before he was lowered a bit more, swiftly grabbing onto the precious crown decorated with delicate jewels, immediately placing it in the satchel before securing it closed.

Beomgyu then slid the glass dome out from under his arm, holding his breath tight as he gently yet slowly placed it back on its original spot, side eyeing the guards that were sneezing a whole shit ton, poor guards!

Alright! His eyes lightened up with joy when he had successfully stole a crown that will probably get him executed. Let's go back up and find my precious Taehyun!

Ew what the fuck did he just call him?

Shaking that thought out of his head, Beomgyu looked back up and tugged onto the rope to let the twins know that he was ready to be brought up, holding the satchel close to his chest before—

All of a sudden, right as he was being brought up, the tightness of the rope around his waist started to slowly... become... loose...?

Beomgyu's eyes widened right away when he felt it slowly start to slip off of his waist, having to bite the bottom of his lip to prevent himself from screaming his lungs out, feeling the rope falter slightly when the twins realized what was happening.

The male immediately bit onto the strap of the satchel and hung onto the rope which had fully slid off of his waist, causing him to slide back down — nearly falling onto the glass dome before he wrapped his hands around the rope tighter, hissing softly when he felt the rope burn appear.

Fuck fuck fuck! Beomgyu gritted his teeth tightly against the strap of the satchel as he tried his best to hang onto the rope that slowly began to swing around. I really should go to the gym! Fuck! Ouch!

Right as the rope was pulled up once again, the male slowly moved his legs around to tightly secure it around the rope, the amount of movement he was doing was causing it to slowly swing back and forth, which was definitely fine!—

CRASH!

Shit.

"You are really incapable, do you know that?!"

"It's not my fault that the rope was loose! I didn't mean to kick the glass dome!"

"You're useless!"

After that whole fiasco with the rope literally failing on Beomgyu, making him thrash around mid air while swinging, causing him to accidentally kick the glass dome off of the small table it was on and crashing it on the ground, it was safe to say that they were now running for their damn lives!

All of the royal guards were on high alert, the three of them running as fast as they could across the long stone bridge connecting the kingdom island to the other island filled with just forest and nature.

Beomgyu, who was already out of breath and tired from always running for his life, looked over his shoulder and shrieked when he saw a bunch of palace guards behind them with their trusty steeds, hanging onto the satchel tighter as he quickly followed Xion and Dongmyeong deep into the woods the minute they were off of the bridge.

Shit! It's like afternoon time and I'm already running for my life?! I should be eating lunch! Beomgyu thought, glancing up at the sky for a split second through the thick forest leaves. This is such bullshit! I should get a break— I literally killed a walking calamari not so long ago!

"Cut into the forest, they can't get us from here!" He heard Xion shout, he honestly doesn't know what the hell he meant by that but just followed him regardless.

The three of them soon slid down a mini cliff, running deeper into the woods until they could barely hear the sounds of the horses echoing out, which meant that they were far away from the royal palace guards.

After a few more minutes, they all came to a quick stop to catch their breaths, Beomgyu having the worse end of it as he began to heave out loudly, leaning onto a tree as he bent down and tried his best to regain his breathing properly.

He absolutely fucking hated running! The disgusting feeling of sweat dripping down his forehead and neck wasn't fun at all, he was so certain that he would lose balance then trip and fall! Man, why did he get this end of the fairytale?! What even is this fairytale?!

Beomgyu heaved out a sharp breath, his chest heaving up and down heavily as he squeezed his eyes closed, trying to regain his breath, unbuttoning some of the buttons on his vest to let more air onto his skin.

After a bit, the male stood up and pushed his hair back which was sticking to his forehead disgustedly, opening his eyes before looking to the side and seeing three papers stuck onto it, his eyes widening in fear when he saw it.

"Oh no, oh no oh no oh no—" Beomgyu breathed out, slowly panicking as he grabbed onto the sheet of paper and looked at it more closely. "What the fuck?! What the hell?!"

Xion and Dongmyeong both looked at each other with confusion before back at Beomgyu who was freaking out over his own wanted poster, lowkey judging the male who was in a crisis right now.

"What is it pretty boy?" Xion asked, scoffing in irritation when the male looked like he was about to burst into tears. "Never seen your face on a wanted poster before?"

"No! That's not it!" Beomgyu cried out, flipping the poster over so they could see it for themselves. "They- They made my ears bigger than my entire face! I am not that ugly!"

Xion and Dongmyeong's face dropped down into a blank expression, their eyes squinted slightly as they were now fully judging the male who cared more about his portrait not even matching how handsome he was in real life! This picture did not do him justice!

Just before he could complain more, the loud sound of a horse neighing echoed out loudly behind them, causing their heads to snap in that direction where they saw — what the fuck?!

Leading the group of royal knights on their stallions was... was... Huening Kai?!

"Huening Kai?!" Beomgyu shrieked, seeing a familiar friend staring at him with hatred in his eyes, ouch! "Why is he a royal guard and I'm a fucking thief?!—"

Huening Kai glared at him angrily, turning his head and pointing his sword over towards a path which definitely led to them, so without even thinking Beomgyu began to run away fast along with the twins, trying to escape the royal knights that were catching close behind them.

The male stuffed his wanted poster into the satchel as he looked over his shoulder in a panic, taking a sharp left turn until stopping in his tracks when in front of him was a large stone wall, cutting them off at a dead end.

"Shit! Okay," Beomgyu breathed out, pushing his hair back which was starting to annoy him now. "Lift me up and I'll pull you guys up!"

Both Xion and Dongmyeong glared at him, as if they didn't trust him. "How do we know you won't betray us?"

"I won't!" He said desperately, opening the satchel to show them the crown inside. "I got the crown inside, now hurry up!"

"Alright, fine."

Beomgyu breathed out heavily in relief, holding onto his chest while he watched Xion lift his brother onto his shoulders, taking that small chance to look inside of the satchel, his eyes widening in horror once again as he flushed down when he saw a... a golden letter inside of it.

Oh fuck, now he really needs to keep this now.

Glancing over towards the twins nervously, the male took in a deep breath before walking over to them, shakily climbing on the both of them before he was standing on Dongmyeong's shoulders, glancing at the male who held onto the satchel tightly.

Okay, I might get killed for this — but it's okay!

Just as he jumped up slightly, his hands latching onto the edge of the stone cliff, he took the opportunity to quickly kick the male below him and slid the satchel over his foot, causing both Xion and Dongmyeong to lose balance as he grabbed onto the satchel and heaved himself up onto the upper ground.

"What the?! Choi! You get back here!"

"I'm sorry!" Beomgyu shouted sincerely, hooking the satchel over his shoulder looking down at the two who were really staring at him like he was a target. "I just have to do this!"

He then took off running, ignoring the angry shouts and screams from the twins below as he ran deeper into the woods, stumbling onto a trail before he heard a set of heavy footsteps behind him, turning his head over to see Huening Kai riding on a large white horse while holding a... crossbow?! Oh shit!

"Retrieve the crown! Kill him at any costs!"

"Yes sir!"

Can we please not kill me?! Beomgyu mentally sobbed, he's already almost died twice, once by a curse and second by a fucking squid! I'm sick of almost dying in these stupid fairytales.

The male huffed out a heavy breath, trying his best to ignore the burning sensation in his legs as his feet were really hurting! Quickly sliding under a large tree branch before heading sharp arrows pierce the wood, his eyes widening in horror when he was a second away from being impaled, grabbing two arrows just incase he needed self defense.

"Huening Kai! Stop! It's me!" Beomgyu cried out, pushing himself to run faster down the trail before hopping over the middle of a weirdly shaped tree, stumbling onto his foot before rushing back up. "Aghh! I hate fairytales!"

Right behind him, Huening Kai and his horse jumped through the middle of the tree he had jumped through while the other palace knights were stuck behind looking for a new way to cut him off, with a sadistic smile, the male loaded the crossbow.

"We got him now, buddy!"

The horse neighed loudly in satisfaction, running faster as Huening Kai aimed the crossbow directly on Beomgyu's back where his heart was.

Just before he could pull the trigger, Beomgyu quickly jumped on a rock and grabbed onto a large vine, swinging himself around as he screamed loudly before it circled around, causing him to accidentally kick Huening Kai off of the horse before quickly replacing his seat.

"What the fuck?!" Beomgyu gasped out, looking around before down at the horse, grabbing onto its reigns tightly. "Okay! Let's go find Taehyun fleabag—"

The horse came to a quick stop, Beomgyu's heart dropping when he saw it look at him from over its shoulder, its gross large horse face flushing in anger that seemed... a bit... familiar...

wait.

"Soobin?!" Beomgyu shrieked in horror when he realized who this horse was, which probably set him off even more as his pupils dilated, causing Soobin to bite his hand harshly before grabbing onto the satchel. "Hey- Hey no! Let go! I need this!"

The two of them began to go out on a full tug of war battle, Soobin running forward while spinning around to try to get the male off of him as he neighed angrily, Beomgyu lowkey freaking out as he pulled onto the satchel.

"Stop it, Soobin! I need this- let go!- AHH!"

Right then, Soobin had suddenly crashed into a rock, causing Beomgyu to go flying off of the saddle while the satchel was also sent flying, landing on a tree branch at the edge of a cliff.

"Ow! My head!" Beomgyu cried out, lifting himself off of the grass and felt around his body for the satchel, his heart dropping down when he didn't feel it at all. "Oh my god- Soobin this is your fault!"

Soobin huffed loudly, lifting himself up before the two of them looked over at the tree hanging off of the edge of the cliff, the satchel hanging onto one tiny small branch.

The both of them glanced at each other before both making a run for it, mixtures of screams and neighs echoed out while they pushed each other away from the branch while also hitting one another before Beomgyu managed to stand on the branch, carefully rushing towards the satchel with Soobin right on his back.

With a bit of hesitation, Beomgyu jumped down and grabbed onto a branch right away, his other hand grabbing onto the satchel as he cheered loudly, looking over at Soobin who glared at him angrily.

"Take that! You stupid flea—"

SNAP!

It took Beomgyu a few seconds to process what had just happened until a loud scream of horror ripped out when he felt himself falling down rather quickly, immediately clinging onto the branch as he looked over at horse Soobin doing the same before glancing back down, the gravitational pull forcing another scream out.

"AHHHHH!!"

Right away, the branch suddenly hit a large rock sticking out, causing it to snap in half as both he and Soobin were flung in opposite directions, the males squeezing his eyes closed while screaming bloody murder, hanging onto the satchel tightly.

If a damn horse or crossbow couldn't kill him, then falling down a ten feet drop definitely will!

"AHHH FUCK FUCK FUCK!!" Beomgyu screeched loudly, falling through a catastrophe of tree branches before landing harshly on the ground, a tight wheeze hissing out as he laid there for a few minutes wondering how the FUCK he didn't die.

After a few minutes, the male heard a faint horse neigh from not so far away, causing him to immediately stand up and rushed over towards a big rock in front of some vines, hiding behind it when he heard heavy footsteps in front of him searching around before rushing away.

Oh my god, I can't do this anymore — this crazy fairytale turned my best friend into a fucking horse! Beomgyu choked out heavily, peeking his head over the rock while running his hand through his hair. I have to find Taehyun, get out of here, I hate fairytales so much!

The male groaned loudly, walking out and tilted back to lean on the vines behind him, but instead of just a hard rock wall supporting him — he suddenly fell back into an open cave with a loud yelp, staring up at a rock ceiling instead of a sky.

What the hell.

Quickly rising back onto his feet, he heard a loud neigh from not so far away, causing him to instinctively hide behind a rock while he watched the horse silhouette of Soobin pause in front of him before rushing away.

Beomgyu huffed out an exhausted breath, pushing his hair back once again before looking over towards the other side of the tunnel where he saw light and heard a... waterfall?

Curiosity getting the best of him, the male walked over towards the other side before pausing, feeling breathless when he saw a beautiful large tower shining brightly underneath the sunlight.

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion as to why a tower was so far out away from the main part of the kingdom, but when he heard Soobin neigh out once again he brushed that thought off as he rushed over towards the tower, looking for a way up only to find out he has to climb it.

He used the two arrows from the crossbows, the male slowly climbed up the large tower, heaving in frustration because of how bad his arms were hurting, but after a few minutes of slow climbing, he finally heaved himself inside of the tower which was suspiciously dark inside, maybe it was abandoned.

With a deep breath, he turned around and slammed the window closed so Soobin or Huening Kai wouldn't see him, standing there for a few happy minutes.

"Oh thank god! Finally!" He cried out, closing his eyes as his legs nearly gave out.

Quickly feeling around his body, the male grabbed onto the satchel and opened it to see the wanted poster, the crown, and the golden letter inside of it all secure.

"Alright! All alone, finally, now let's see what you, golden letter have for—"

SMACK!
