ADALINE — ALTHOUGH, IF YOU CALLED HER THAT AND YOU WEREN'T EITHER OF HER FATHERS, YOU WERE DONE FOR — CRANSTON PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE SEEN BECOMING A RANGER COMING. For starters, her Papa was the original blue Ranger from the Mighty Morphin' team in Angel Grove so she was part of one big Ranger family. And she had been around some many different teams growing up, meaning Ada practically knew everything about Power Rangers. So becoming a Ranger was probably inevitable. It seemed to run through her blood.

But when Ada and her Dad moved to Pine Ridge after the death of her Aunt Trini, the last thing he wanted was to involve his daughter in more Ranger business. Oh, the irony.

Her Papa had been growing a little obsessed with finding Zordon — and Ada secretly thought that had something to do with the appearance of Robo-Rita — and unintentionally it caused a rift between him and his family. And after everything that happened, when James Cranston told Billy that he was taking Ada away from Angel Grove, the famous inventor didn't object. He had not been himself, and they all knew it, so he knew James was right and that him and Ada needed time away from their home town.

And even all the way in Pine Ridge, Ada Cranston wanted to help her Papa find his missing mentor. So she managed to create a device that would locate high concentrations of Morphin Grid power. And as soon as she turned the device on, it instantly sensed an incredible amount of power, right there in Pine Ridge. 

Ada Cranston was a Cranston and that meant curiosity always got the better of them. Which was how she ended up hiking through the woods, following her scanner to who knew where. It wasn't actually that far into her search that she stumbled across two individuals and as it turned out, they were heading to the exact same place.

Dinohenge.

She hadn't known it existed when she entered the woods but as soon as she saw it, she knew it was the source of the Morphin Grid energy reading on her scanner. It just had to be. And she was proven right when a mysterious dark warrior came onto the scene, blasting his way into the ground to reveal a hidden chamber beneath. And it was in this hidden chamber that Ada Cranston became the very thing she never, but probably should have, expected: a Power Ranger.

With her Dad not in the know, Ada must do her best to help save Pine Ridge from the attack of the Sporix beasts. And when a new, golden, Ranger appears out of nowhere, Ada not only has to fight the monsters, but her feelings as well. Because he may have been a 65 million year old extra-terrestrial, but there was something about him that drew her to him.

Ada Cranston, daughter of Billy and James Cranston, seemed to be born to be a Ranger. Now she just had to prove she was worthy of her legacy.

• Just gonna start with: the freeze zord is a pteradon, Ada's is a pteradactyl. They may be similar, but they are very different. I wanted to honour both her Aunts. Ada gets a bit emotional over it considering Trini was recently killed by robo-Rita.

• Her zord adds blades to the sides of the arms or wings to the back so it's called the ptera-wing zord. 

• Ada was trained by her Aunts and Uncles and sometimes, her Papa too. So she already knows how to fight.

• Sometimes, when she's visiting an Aunt or Uncle, she ends up getting whisked away into their cameos in other ranger shows. It's the universes way of telling her she's gonna be a ranger. 

• Billy liked to keep track of the new Ranger teams popping up which is how Ada has met a lot of them.

• She likes to look at the Legendary Database to watch old battles of her Papa. they inspire her. She also knows so much about rangers and she knows a lot personally, anyway, she's basically a living version of the database. So she's the resident ranger expert.

notes:

• Ada has 2 biological Fathers thanks to her Papa's genius. You can cast who you would like as her Dad. If you change Ada's faceclaim, I would prefer her to a poc. Her Dad is a teacher and he took her away from Angel Grove after what happened to Trini as he wanted to get Ada away from the Ranger stuff. Also, Billy had been a bit on edge prior and Trini's death just made James take Ada to Pine Ridge. But he still loves Billy, he's just putting Ada first. James took Billy's name as he didn't have a good relationship with his family and plus, his surname was just bad. 

• Ada is very smart. She's basically a sassy version of her Papa. 

• Like, there would totally be a groupchat for the Mighty Morphin Rangers and the kids that know. There's probably a Ranger groupchat with every ranger out there. Anyway, the chat is mainly used for nostalgia, personal updates and informing the others of their cameos. But when Ada becomes a Ranger, she starts posting on there about being a Ranger. They're so proud of her and are in awe of the pics of Solon.

• She has a very good relationship with all the original Mighty Morphin' Rangers:
Tommy takes her on digs and teaches her about dinos as well as some fighting.
Kimberley and Trini took her and Minh on shopping trips.
Jason was the first to teach her to fight and takes her to get smoothies and/or ice cream.
Zack is around the most and is the cool uncle. They would also totally go to BLM protests together.

• She is named after Ada Lovelace

•  When she becomes a Ranger she has already started to build a sentient robot (like Alpha) and she names them Beta. Beta is adorable and uses they/them. They help with Solon at the command centre. You can even have a cast for Beta if you would like.

• She has part time work as a waitress and is trying to build her own tech company by herself and without her Papa's influence. 

• It would be cool if there were flashbacks of Ada meeting other ranger teams throughout her life. 

• Ollie and Ada being science BROTP and helping out Solon and Beta. Ada helps teach Zayto modern earth stuff. And when Aiyon comes along, she's the main one who helps him. Ada and Izzy both don't like skirts and bond over athletics (Ada still continues martial arts from when she was a kid). Ada doesn't believe in ghosts but she's more open-minded than Ollie so Amelia likes her. Javi and Ada think the other is really awesome because they're good at the things the other isn't great at (music and engineering).

ACT ONE
dino fury season 1

• Ada wanted to help her Papa so she built a device to track grid energy and she didn't expect it to detect something so powerful so she investigated which brought her to Dinohenge with Ollie and Amelia. When she meets Zayto, he tells the others she's a power ranger's daughter. She tries to keep it a secret from her Dad but he eventually finds out and once he does, he supports her and helps where he can. Ada first met Mick when she was very little and have seen each other over the years so she recognises him. Ada finishes Beta. When Zedd returns, she is understandable frightened and he's angry when he hears another Cranston is fighting him. Aiyon and Ada build strong foundations in this act.

ACT TWO
dino fury season 2

• Aiyon and Ada get into a relationship in this act. The mosa-wing megazord is so cool! What would also be cool is a mighty morphin' ranger dropping by to speak in one of James' classes and then get dragged into fighting a sporix (I feel like it would be Tommy). Ada comforts Aiyon after Rafkon explodes. Maybe Ada's wish is for Trini to be back? Ada and Aiyon take a little while to come out as a couple to the team, but when they do, the others are very happy.

ACT THREE
power rangers: once and always

• Ada takes Aiyon to visit her Aunt Trini's grave on the anniversary where he meets the remainder of her family. They have no zords and this act is very close after Zayto's death so it's really fresh for them. Ada and Minh are #yellowpower. These cousins are badassing together. At the end, it would be nice if there was an extra chapter where the Mighty Morphin' Rangers (after being resized) and the Dino Fury are together at Aiyon's cafe opening. James and Billy will finally kiss and end the break on their marriage.

• If you want to add Zayto's return at the end of this act or in the beginning of the next one, I don't mind.

ACT FOUR
cosmic fury season 1

• Ada is fighting side-by-side with her Papa, which we love to see. Her and Aiyon are really good, relationship wise, and are happy. Billy is very worried about James who is still on Earth. James creates the resistance with Tarrick. Ada's cosmic weapon is a bow, just like how the Mighty Morphin' pterodactyl ranger had a bow. 

• If Billy and/or Aiyon and the gang appear in anything else, I think Ada would be involved so that would be next.
