ANYTHING SHE PUT HER MIND TO, JULIET YANG COULD DO. Getting straight A's on her tests, she could do that. Spending her spare time looking for the mysteries in the earth, she could do that. But being a Ranger, Juliet Yang wasn't so sure. 

It all started when the aspiring archaeologist decided to go digging in the mountains. Or perhaps it started way back when her five friends started acting not like themselves. Honestly, Juliet wasn't exactly sure where her power ranger journey first began. What she could say for certain was that things weren't the same after she dug up a particular artefact from deep within the rock.

It was unlike anything Juliet had ever seen. The purple, perfectly carved cone was beautiful. And for some reason Juliet didn't know at the time, she felt like it was calling to her. That crystal was most certainly more than it looked.

But before the enthusiastic digger could examine her find further, in came the infamous putty patrol to try and steal the powerful item she had just unearthed. Juliet Yang didn't know what to do or why they were after her. Yet before the putties could harm one hair on her head, the power rangers of Angel Grove leapt into action and saved the girl from their clutches. And she still had the purple power crystal.

Confused and intrigued, Juliet kept hold of the purple crystal until the unexpected happened: she was summoned by the leader of the Rangers himself. Zordon. 

Juliet could not believe her eyes as she looked around at the command centre, at the quirky robot helper and the floating head on the screen in front of her. It was incredible. And when that said floating head proclaimed that she, just an ordinary girl who wanted to uncover the secrets of the past, was to be the purple power ranger. 

So, Juliet must do what she can to live up to the mantle bestowed upon her as she helps the others defend Angel Grove. But falling in love with her best friend and new teammate, wasn't a part of her plan.

the purple ranger

• Juliet is an aspiring archaeologist so she likes to dig in the mountains. She often brings Billy mineral samples she can't identify. She's so sweet and kind and patient. She's also agile and intelligent and when she sets her eye on a goal, she always completes it. Which is why she is very raptor.

• Anyway, she is digging in the mountains when she finds the lost purple power crystal which she of course doesn't know what it is. As soon as she touches it, Zordon senses it and Rita saw from above. So they send in putties. The rangers arrive, save her, but she leaves with the crystal as they don't know she has it. Zordon tells them later.

• She's attacked again and they explain why. And then Zordon tells her she's the purple ranger. And she's really shocked when it turns out all her friends are rangers and they didn't tell her.

• The purple ranger has power sais as her other weapon.

notes:

• Everyone tends to call her 'Jules' but not Billy, he uses her full name. They are so dorky and adorable. He likes to help her with analysing her finds and she can understand enough to help him with his experiments. Her speciality may not be in tech, but she's good at chemistry and other similar sciences. 

• Billy and Juliet are so oblivious. Everyone sees it but them. 

• Juliet is best friends with the five before they become rangers. She obviously notices the change in them but is unsure as to what it is. And even though they are rangers, they don't push her away, it's just they're more careful about answering their communicators around her. 

• She gets suspicious before the arrival of Tommy and starts to look closer into their new behaviour instead of dismissing it. And she finds out the truth after finding the lost crystal.

• Juliet is close with them all but she obviously has a closer relationship with the girls. Also, Jules and Tommy are BROTP and before her and Billy are together, he gets a little jealous at how close they are. But Tommy and Juliet would never get together. They understand each other as new rangers and as people, they're more like siblings.

• Juliet just wants to be an archaeologist so she's hesitant about also being a ranger. But she loves to help people so she agrees. 

ACT ONE
season one

• Juliet is friends with the gang already. She can tell they're hiding something but can't tell what. And even though they're now rangers, they don't distance themselves from her. Juliet is suspicious by the time Tommy arrives. Then she finds the lost ranger crystal and becomes the purple ranger. Her and Billy are so cute even before they're together. Becoming a ranger is an interesting journey for Juliet as she doesn't have that much confidence in herself as a fighter. Billy shares that feeling and helps her feel more confident.

ACT TWO
season two

• Billy and Juliet get together in this act. Juliet is truly becoming herself as a ranger and Billy and the others are so proud of her. I would say Billy and Juliet get together about half way through this act. It's such a subtle thing when they realise they like each other because they're so subtle and cute.
