QUINN LOCKE WAS SPECIAL. She had a gift, a strange one at that, but it was a gift nonetheless. A gift that allowed her to be in sync with the universe as if it ran through her veins. As if it allowed her to flow down the river of creation as a mere leaf in the constantly changing current.

Growing up, Quinn didn't have the best childhood, because Project Blackwing had ruined it. She started off being know as Omega, but once they realised how her abilities were similar to another's, they put them together, and was from then on known as Icarus part 2. Blackwing was torture for them both, but at least they had each other.

After Blackwing, everything changed. The Icarus Project split up and went their separate ways, both knowing that some day, even if it was years in the future, they would see each other again. Quinn needed time to heal from the mental and few physical scars she had been left with, which was one of the few reasons she left her cellmate to go out on her own.

With her few practical talents, Quinn became a librarian, a job she quickly learned to love. And one night, when she was about to lock the door, she met a peculiar man who she felt immediately drawn to. Todd Brotzman. A man who was cursed with misfortune and unhappiness, who had a sister who was just the same. Quinn didn't know what it was that drew her to the Brotzman family, but they were connected to something, somehow.

Because everything was connected.

Then one day, whilst Todd was at work, he found a crime scene that sets off a landslide of strange and confusing events. After picking him up from work and taking him home, Quinn is reunited with a face from her past and the three of them are set down a path with puzzling puzzles at each and every turn.

Everything is connected and so are they, but what they don't realise — not at first at least — is that their connection runs deeper than they could've ever predicted. That he is the key to the lock in her heart scarred from the past. That their hearts beat as one and that they're love is holistic just like them.

project icarus part two

• Quinn used to be the Omega project but considering she has similar instincts and abilities as Dirk they placed them together.

• Quinn has another ability: she can read minds. She can only do this if she is in physical contact with the person. It takes a lot of energy and she doesn't like invading privacy. Also, the stronger the mind, the harder it is to read.

• Quinn likes to call herself a Holistic Librarian because her instincts and mind reading can help find the perfect book for anyone. She's also good at organising things and is constantly surrounded by stories (people's minds).

notes:

• Quinn was her own separate project in Blackwing before they realised how similar her and Dirk were and then put them together.

• Quinn knows Dirk's real name but never uses it. She supports Dirk and cares for him no matter what.

• Quinn is a kind soul who's a bit damaged. She's a lot more sane than Dirk and is more sensible but that doesn't mean she can't be random and bizarre. Quinn and Dirk understand each other's pain and are always there for each other. Well, apart from when Blackwing was finished because they went their separate ways.

• From what I can tell, Dirk is panromantic asexual which Quinn is a huge supporter of as she's omniromantic asexual herself.

• Blackwing hurt them both so they're there to support each other through it all.

ACT ONE
dirk gently's holistic detective agency season one

• Quinn picks up Todd when he's fired only to take him home and be reunited with Dirk. Todd is oblivious to how they know each other at first but learns later in the season. Dirk and Quinn quickly fall back into their usual back and forth thinking aloud thing, they really are a good duo. But there are some tensions caused by the years apart. Quinn sticks with Dirk the entire time so at the end, the two are kidnapped by Blackwing together.

ACT TWO
dirk gently's holistic detective agency season two

• Quinn and Dirk are back in Blackwing. They share a cell and pushed their beds together so they can hold each other for comfort. They're broken out together and are dragged into the case. Quinn is also part of the prophecy like Dirk. When Dirk gives up, Quinn tries her best to help him but soon realises that it is something he had to alone, she didn't pressure him into anything, he had to fix himself. Quinn goes with Dirk back to Blackwing and they're hurt bad. At the end, the team is all together and they're happy.
