AFTER EVERYTHING THAT HAD HAPPENED IN KATHERINE WU'S LIFE, THERE WAS ONE THING SHE COULD SAY FOR CERTAIN: SHE HAD GOOD INTENTIONS. Ever since she was little, she had always wanted to fight for what was right and deliver justice to those in need. But not everyone got a 'Happily Ever After' like in the fairy-tales so the idea that she could solve all the world's problems was just as far-fetched. Yet Katherine Wu decided to not give up.

She flew through her classes with flying colours until she found herself a place where she could finally make a true difference — the CIA. 

Life as an agent was certainly not easy but Kat wouldn't change it for the world. For starters, she was amazing at it and it would have been a waste not to put her skills to good use. And secondly, working with the CIA meant she could finally put all her good intentions to good use. Katherine Wu was going to make the world a better place whether it wanted to be or not. She was stubborn that way.

Over the years she had her successes (and, of course, her unfortunate failures that she doesn't like to mention) and even though things didn't always end as she hoped, her good intentions remained. Ethan Hunt had always admired that about her. And that was why when the two agents met so many years ago, they quickly became excellent friends. They both believed in a better world and they both had the ability to make it happen. Ethan and Katherine understood each other.

So when Katherine finally decided to use her vacation days and travel to Moscow, she was surprised to see a familiar agent leaving the Kremlin. And she was even more surprised when it suddenly exploded.

With a missing possibly injured agent, a missing team and a destroyed Kremlin, Agent Katherine Wu was back in action. And after arriving at the nearest hospital to rescue her old friend, she is then brought alone in his rogue mission to save the world. Figures.

Agent Katherine Wu always had good intentions no matter what. But after meeting her old friend's teammate, she is willing to do things with perhaps not-so-good intentions, just to keep him safe.

• Kat is a very skilled agent working for the CIA and has a lot of experience and is talented in a lot of things. 

• Ethan and Kat are old friends, having met on a mission when they were younger and occasionally bump into each other. She even saw Ethan when he broke in during the first movie, but didn't say anything because she did not trust the people accusing him of being a traitor.

• Because Ethan and Kat are old friends, everyone thinks they were together at some point (which makes Benji a bit jealous in the beginning as he doesn't know the truth) but Kat and Ethan never were together. They're more like an iconic badass sibling duo then lovers. They would never sleep with each other.

• Benji and Kat are so cute. Fight me.

• Kat has a good relationship with all the teammates and those relationships are all different and special in their own ways.

ACT ONE
mission impossible: ghost protocol

• For once, Kat is on vacation to Moscow. But then she sees Ethan at the Kremlin and then it explodes. She goes to the nearest hospital to find him and then he drags her along in his mission. Kat and Benji become friends and the whole team are in awe at how badass she is. Ethan is trying to get her to join the IMF (it wasn't the first time and it wouldn't be the last) and she declines

ACT TWO
mission impossible: rogue nation

• The CIA has absorbed the IMF. Kat visits Benji and as he has 2 tickets, he takes her to the opera too. It would also be nice to write some about the time Ethan is missing and Benji is at the CIA because they're bonding without any threat of death. They're not together yet but are growing attached during this act. Kat ends up rogue with them. She is frightened out of her mind when they take Benji. She's so willing to shoot Soloman in the head for taking Benji. At the end, Kat joins the IMF and her and Benji are flirting - not together.

ACT THREE
mission impossible: fallout

• Kat is adjusting to life in the IMF. Benji and Kat are still flirting but their relationship is becoming much more established during this act - by the end, they're together. Kat doesn't trust Walker from the start and she's really learning to work well with the IMF team. She's devastated by the loss of Hunley (who she's known for a long time) and Benji is there for her. Kat met Julia once so she recognises her. At the very least, Benji and Kat kiss by the end.

ACT FOUR
mission impossible: dead reckoning part 1

• Benji and Kat are definitely together and are kicking ass together. They're both absolutely terrified by the entity but Kat tries to wear a strong mask for Benji, she believes she has to be strong to keep him strong. Kat is impressed by Grace's potential because after how long she's been in the job, she knows potential when she sees it. Kat arrives after Ilsa but before Grace and is injured by Gabriel - not fatally but Benji worries a lot. She's devastated by Ilsa's death.

• When the final part comes out, it needs to be added to this timeline.
