"BE CAREFUL OF THE MURDOCK BOYS, they've got the devil in them," was how their old family saying went. Although, what it failed to mention was the fate of the women. Now you see, the boys may have pieces of the Devil in them passed down through the blood in their veins, but the girls... the girls were Hell itself - forged in the fires of tragedy, their hearts hardening to steel. And Clara Murdock, just like all her cursed ancestors, was thrown into the fiery pits and reborn from the ashes of who she used to be.

When she was a mere three month old, her Mother died, leaving her in the care of her blind Father - a man who hadn't even known of her existence beforehand. It was hard for him to care for a child whilst blind and with a dream career on the horizon, but he did it anyway, because he loved her from the moment she was placed into his arms.

Clara didn't have an ordinary childhood, but how could you when you are born with extraordinary powers and raised to fight? And the fact that she was the daughter of Matthew Murdock, the blind lawyer and Devil of Hell's Kitchen, certainly didn't help matters.

From the start, Clara had known about her Father's night time activities but she was sworn to secrecy to protect not just him, but her and their friends as well. She spent hours lying awake in bed worrying whether or not he would come home before eventually falling asleep due to exhaustion. It was an endless cycle, never ending, never changing, well that was until her Uncle Foggy found out. To say that he was furious would be an understatement because Clara swore she saw fire in his eyes. What angered the man more than being left out was the fact that his best friend simply left his daughter alone each night with no guarantee he would return.

Matthew reassured her he would come home every night, but he lied. Because when he went off to fight the Hand, he stayed behind and was crushed beneath the blown up ruins of Midland Circle.

Grief stricken and orphaned, Clara watched as the streets her Father dedicated himself to turned to chaos. And Clara being Clara couldn't just sit around and let that happen. No, she could not and decided to take up her Father's mantle to protect the innocents on her streets. So yet again, Clara Murdock was thrown into the fires of Hell and was reborn as the Red Robin, a crime fighting vigilante who barely ever used weapons.

Clara never even imagined that she would gain the attention of the one and only Tony Stark and she definitely would never even imagined being asked to go with him to Germany in order to take down Captain America. But there was something else, she wasn't the only teen hero he had enlisted and the boy who swung around Queens in a onesie turned out to be a kid in her class.

Spiderman and Red Robin. Peter Parker and Clara Murdock. Two seemingly ordinary teens with big secrets. And what probably was biggest secret of them all was how they started to feel things for one another. But Clara was a Murdock and she would damned if she was going to let the Devil in her hurt the sweet and lovable boy she had begun to care about even if sometimes she thought he deserved a decent hit to the head.

Origin: Clara inherited her super senses and accelerated healing from her father. From a young age, he has trained her to use her abilities to her advantage and how to fight. Clara has had some training from Stick and is an incredible fighter. After her father 'died' under Midland Circle, she started to fight in his place.

Red Robin: Red Robin is her Superhero name, but it can mean two things: pain or hope. She has senses more powerful than Spider-Man's and is an expert fighter. Her weapons of choice are her fists, Knives or Batons, Clara would never use a gun. Suit wise, it kind of looks a bit like Elektra's from the Defenders with the addition of a mask.

notes:

• A lot of people believe that when you see a Robin it's a sign that a lost relative is visiting. Robins also symbolise new beginnings and life. After her father disappeared under Midland Circle, Clara took up the name Red Robin - which can be shortened to just 'Robin' - as a way to honour his memory.

• Clara attends Mid Town High (the same school as Peter) because she's incredibly intelligent. Peter and Clara see each other at school but they aren't really friends. Clara is friends with MJ instead.

• Clara has always known about her father being a Vigilante and worried for him constantly. When he 'died' she went into Foggy's care and when they realise he's still alive, she's both relieved and angry.

• Peter and Clara are both incredibly smart and understand each other very well. They end up getting together at the end of Spiderman: Homecoming.

• MJ and Clara are BROTP, but so are Ned and Clara. When Ned finds out she's Red Robin, he shocked, but when she tells him that her father is Daredevil, he completely loses it - in an adorable, fangirly way.

ACT ONE
captain america civil war

• Clara thinks her father is dead so she takes to the streets and fights in his name, gaining the attention of Tony Stark. She's then recruited along with Peter Parker, who she realises is Spiderman, to take down Captain America. Foggy is anxious about letting her go to Germany, especially after what happened to Matt, but he eventually agrees. At the end, both Clara and Peter make sure to stay in touch.

ACT TWO
spiderman homecoming

• Ned immediately welcomes Clara to their small friend group with open arms, but she's still friends with MJ. Around this time, she finds out her Dad is still alive and is furious at first and then breaks down in his arms. Matthew is proud that she's helping people, but is worried for her, because he doesn't want her to be taken over by her superhero identity like he was. Clara is on the decathlon team and is in the elevator when it goes to collapse, but Peter saves her. She's helping him with his investigating. Peter wants to ask her to homecoming, but he's too late, she already agreed to go with MJ, as friends. After being trapped under the rubble, they admit their feelings for each other and get together at the end of this act. Both Spiderman and Red Robin decline joining the Avengers and Matthew is incredibly proud of her.

ACT THREE
avengers infinity war

• After seeing the space ship in the sky, Peter and Clara take off towards it where they help Tony Stark. Clara can't fly so she couldn't do anything to help Peter as he is dragged into Space. She then goes with Bruce to the Avengers compound, making sure to phone her father (you can decide if he comes along to Wakanda). Clara fights in Wakanda, they even gift her Vibranium Knives and she turns to dust.

ACT FOUR
avengers endgame

• Clara and Peter and back and are thrown straight into the fight. They reunite on the battlefield and then hug Tony. When he snaps his fingers, Clara and Peter break down into each other. Matthew is there for Clara at the funeral where she meets little Morgan and her heart just breaks for the girl.

ACT FIVE
spiderman far from home

• Clara packs her suit in case of an emergency. She doesn't like Beck and gets a strange feeling from him so she doesn't tell him who she is and refuses to take off her mask. Their isn't much a girl with enhanced senses can do against an elemental so Clara stays on the sidelines, helping Fury, making sure people are out of the way. Clara isn't happy when Peter hands over the Stark glasses. MJ is a little upset Clara never told her she's Red Robin but understands. They fight the drones together, but Beck doesn't reveal her identity because he doesn't know who she really is.

When Spiderman: No Way Home comes out, it needs to be added to this timeline.
