seven - the garage

Seven - The Garage

Windy, Jimmy and Gembira arrived at the beach house as the party began dying down. There was purpose with their pace as they separated looking for the Unlikely Assassin.

"Kiddo? Kiddo?" Jimmy yelled loud enough to wake the neighbors.

"Hey! Old dude! Who ya looking for?" The young man was clearly inebriated and could barely stand.

"Hey, kid. I am looking for my daughter." Jimmy held his hand flat at shoulder height. "About yay tall, eyebrows like this." He pointed to his face.

"Real skinny-like?" The kid passed out right into Jimmy's arms.

"Seriously?" Jimmy laid the young man down in the recovery position just incase he puked he wouldn't suffocate on his vomit. "Kiddo!" He yelled again.

Just then Jake stumbled his way from the bachelor apartment right into Jimmy. He looked at the man with the gray goatee then to his eyebrows. His mouth dropped open. "You're ~ her father, aren't you? She just about killed me...that little bit.."

Jimmy threw a soft left cross before Jake could finish the word. "Nobody tells a father his daughter is a little..." he could not say the derogatory term.

Windy made it to the room with the monitors. It was as if she could smell electronic devices. She sent Jimmy a text.

Windy: Something freaky going down in the underground parking. There's a hallway to your right.

Jimmy: Do you see, Jordan?

Windy: She's safe...we'll meet you in the garage!

Jimmy took off down the hall not bothering with the door handles. He ran into every door with his right shoulder. The explosive power ripped the doors completely from their frames. He seemed possessed but knew seconds mattered when it came to traders and their victims.

From the garage Jimmy's approach sounded very odd to Hannah who stared at the door to the basement. The door exploded from its normal place causing Hannah to jump back in terror. She dropped Shailene and ran for her lime green Jeep Wrangler.

The freight train known as Jimmy knew it was Hannah and raced towards her. "Hannah it's all over!"

Hannah did not even look back at Jimmy and jumped into the Jeep. Pushed the start button and reversed quickly from then gunned it for the gated garage door.

Jimmy jumped, grabbed the roll bar on the passenger side of the Wrangler and stepped onto the fashionable foot step rail. Hannah had the top and doors taken off for the party making it easy for Jimmy to gain access to the Jeep.

"Taylor! Taylor, it's over!" Jimmy yelled at Hannah who seemed shocked the man knew her real name.

Hannah looked at Jimmy then headed into the heavy gate. He braced for the impact with the airbag then the lights went out. The aging assassin was thrown from the vehicle landing atop the hood of a Corvette Stingray smashing the windshield.

Hannah was dazed but okay. She reached into her glove box for her Glock 19. Loaded the clip and readied it to fire at the man moaning in pain. "So you know my name. I guess I have to kill you."

Jimmy lifted his head. "Fuck, I am getting too old for this shit. Arghhh."

"How about I put you out your misery, old man!" Hannah spoke.

"Your mother apologized to me for creating a monster. But..." Jimmy had to catch his breath. "But I think it is my fault for falling for your acting job two years ago."

"Boo hoo. That was you? WOW, you are getting old!" Hannah laughed at Jimmy.

"Getting old hunting human traders like you. The fucking dirty money. I think Jordan will actually kill you Hannah...Taylor. Whatever, you're dead where you stand if you kill me." Jimmy was feeling a little better. Maybe it was the fair possibility he was going to be killed that seemed to make his pain lessen.

"Hey, just making a living from poor sappy girls like Shailene there." She pointed her gun at the young woman. "She studied physics. Can you believe that? Physics! I can do physics in my sleep."

"You need several years of therapy. I know just the person." Jimmy chuckled.

"Me? There is nothing wrong with me!" Hannah scoffed at Jimmy.

"Nothing, eh? I saw what you did to that girl two years ago. Nothing, my ass!" Jimmy barked.

"She loved every minute of it!" Hannah laughed as she pressed the gun into Jimmy's crotch.

"Not a big loss there, Hannah. I am finished having kids." Jimmy cracked. "But the one I do have is about to kick your ass." He watched Jordan run like Usain Bolt himself across the garage and take flight like Bruce Lee.

Jordan's foot landed in the chest of the human trader sending her into the mangled gate. Hannah dropped the gun and the Unlikely Assassin unleashed her short fist style kungfu on the young woman. She landed over sixty punches before the human trader slid down the gate and onto the floor.

Windy and Gembira quickly rushed to Jordan stopping her from killing Hannah. "She's not worth killing, Kiddo. Come on let's see how the old goat is doing, eh?" Windy pulled her towards Jimmy.

"Hey Kiddo, Win is right. It's not worth it." Gembira helped Jimmy sit up. "Like you said, Kiddo. It's people like Hannah that have to change to really make a difference."

Jordan's head was hanging low but Jimmy spoke again. "I have to take responsibility for everything, Kiddo. I brought you into this fight. Come here, Weidan."

Jordan looked up. "You called me Weidan. Why?" Jordan smiled at her father. "You never call me that."

"I don't know. Just thinking about Mama right now." Jimmy smiled. "You know she is so proud of you, Kiddo? You are the pride and joy of her life!"

"Awwww Dad!" Jordan's father said just the right thing at just the right time.

"Okay, I've informed the local authorities to collect Taylor/Hannah and get her to a psychiatric evaluation in a secured facility. I erased all recordings rewrote all the memory with garbage. That being, Jimmy's love letters to Jordan's mom. I will check it again when I get back home." Jordan laughed. Windy was pretty thorough when it came to any recordings of the team.

"What the hell?" The drug used on Shailene was wearing off.

Jordan left her father and attended to the student. "Hey, Shay! How are you feeling?"

"Jordan? Jordan!" Shailene grabbed onto the Unlikely Assassin. "Oh my God, I should have never of doubted you!" You saved me? Of course you did!" She laughed.

"Actually the old man sitting on the car saved you. Go say hi." Jordan smiled.

"Jordan says you saved me. Thanks." Shailene fought back tears. Jimmy smiled. "I should have called my mom and left the party like she told me."

"Hey, I am Jimmy. This is Windy, that is Pijiu and you know Jordan." Jimmy winked.

"Pijiu?" Shailene scrunched her face.

"It's Gembira, the old man is delusional, again." Jordan rolled her eyes at her father. "Come on Gemma let's get Shay home."

"Wow, to think I gave up the opportunity to have dinner with the President! Kiddo?" Jimmy laughed as his daughter walked away then looked to Windy for help.

"Seriously? You want my help now?" Windy grabbed her old friend and pulled him from the car.

Connor ran into the garage, "my car! What did you do to my car? Geesus Christ!" He looked to Jimmy.

"Hey, I know you!" Windy pointed to the human trader. "You're, Connor!"

"What's your fucking point?" Connor spat his response.

"Jimmy. Do you know Connor here is a pathetic human trader? A sex trafficker?" Windy asked rhetorically.

"You know Win...No!" Jimmy raised an eyebrow.

"And he is out of business." Windy pointed at the human trader.

"Yeah, whatever!" Connor dismissed Windy.

"Hey, Connor?" Connor looked angry and Jimmy waved him away. "Forget it."

Windy spun and kicked Connor in the chin and he fell to the garage floor. Windy ripped his shirt off and tied his hands behind his back. "Case closed!"

Jimmy shook his head and laughed. "They always say the wrong thing! Let's get out of here, Win!" He popped off the hood of the car and began to walk alongside his old friend. "Kiddo fell for it."

"Uh huh." Windy agreed. "You know one day she's gonna find out. Don't you?" She shook her head. "Still hurts, I bet."

"Uh huh." Jimmy groaned and put his arm over Windy's shoulder.

"Oh no you don't. I am not falling for that!" Windy walked faster. "Keep up old man or you will have plenty to explain to the authorities.

"Crap. I'm coming, Win!" Jimmy shook his head. "Getting too old for this!"

"Then stop doing this, Old man! Go home to Ally and do whatever seniors citizens do. Garden, cut the grass go lawn bowling, or maybe restore old cars like that Stingray your butt just destroyed, Pudge!" Windy had a thousand reasons for Jimmy to walk away but was taken aback when he spoke.

"I would miss you too much, my friend." Jimmy caught up to Windy. "So, I am your new lab buddy!"

"Sweet Jesus, save me!" Windy rolled her eyes. "Gib is not going to like this!"
