At eighteen years old, Alex Kim received one of the most memorable birthday presents of her life. . A ruby necklace. Unbeknownst to her, it was the ancestral jewelry from her previous lover's family. Anyone wearing the necklace is destined to own the jewelry until death. The necklace had one unique feature; it promised a long life. After her big night, exhaustion and adrenaline flooded her body when she headed to bed. The moment her eyes closed, she heard scraping noises coming from the side of her window. Terrified by the ear-splitting noise, she quickly sat up, staring at her window where the scratches had left their mark. Confused and shaken up, she quickly grabbed her bottle, gulping down the water, looking up as she tried to make out the words on her ceiling. 'If I can't have you, no one can. Happy 18th birthday, love.'
