"Alex! Alex!" Eliza knocked frantically on the door to the apartment. It opened.
"Hello Eliza, how are you?" Martha had opened the door. She loved the tiny Eliza, she was cute and Martha felt she could just eat her up.
"Hello Mrs. Washington. Can I speak with Alex?" Eliza was jumping up and down slightly.
"Of course. He's in his room. Head on in." Martha then turned to Eliza's father, who was standing in the doorway.

"Alex!" Eliza burst into Alex's room. "Angelica is coming home! My dad is taking us to his lake house and we wanna bring you! Peggy can't come though." Eliza rush all of this out.
"Really? Can you bring Philip?"Alex asked.
"Yea! Definitely! This'll be so fun!"Eliza squealed.
"I hope I can come!" Alex lied. Since Liza and Alex had  become closer, holding hands, kissing cheeks, he was worried about Angelica. He had liked her first and didn't want to absentmindedly kiss her, wrecking things with Liza.
"I hope so too!" Eliza wrapped her arms around Alex's waist. She swayed back and forth, snuggling into his shoulder. "What were you doing anyway?"
Alex let go of Eliza and dropped to his knees. "Building a Star Wars lego set!"
"Star Wars? With Spock and stuff?"Liza didn't know what it was.
Alex shook his head. "No." He murmured. This was why he liked Angelica. She was so smart. And beautiful too.
"Alex!" Another voice yelled, Angelica ran into Alex's room. "Eliza!"
"HAHAHAHA!" The two girls squealed and hugged each other tightly.  "Yay!"
"Yay..." Alex said, much less enthusiastically. He just wasn't happy about this. "How is school Angie?"
"It's amazing. In math we're learning long division! Something normal kids don't learn until third or fourth grade! In English we write real essays on stuff! And in Historg we're learning about the war!"
"Which war?" Alex was intrigued, his eyes twinkling.
"The revolutionary war?" Eliza asked.
"Yep!"
"That's my favorite war." Alex said dreamily.
"What's your obsession with wars?" Eliza didn't get that obsession.
"They are so interesting!" Alex clapped his hands together in excitement.
"So can you come? Can you?" Eliza was pleading with Alex with her eyes.
"No. Sorry." Alex wasn't sorry, but he needed to act like that.
"Awww..." the two girls were very disappointed.
