Eugene
"Boys?" Kitty said as soon as the group of four had parked and gotten out of the car.
"Yes Kitty?" The two young boys replied at the same time. James didn't respond, just looked in her direction.
"Why don't you head on up? I want to have a word with James." Kitty smiled at them and made a 'shoo' gesture with her left hand.
Alex turned to James uncertainly, but was met with a warm smile. "Don't worry Al. We'll be right up and I can meet Martha and George."
"Yea! Mom and Dad will like him I think!" Laf (who still didn't get all that was going on) exclaimed.
Alex nodded grimly and followed Laf into the building. James turned back to Kitty and was met with a surprise when she pushed him into the brick wall behind him. "Ow." He muttered in slight pain.
"How dare you!" Kitty growled. James tried to push her away but she pressed him against the wall even harder. "How dare you say they aren't a family when they are about the most perfect family in the entire world."
"They aren't a family." James said angrily, he furrowed his eyebrows at the angry girl who he had thought to be so pleasant.
Kitty spat slightly onto his face. "They are!" She shouted. "They are the closest, happiest, and best family I know. They love each other, they take care of each other, and they are there for each other. So how dare you say otherwise."
"Alex is my family! Not theirs!" James yelped, unable to take it anymore.
Kitty slapped him. "So where were you this past year he's been living at Washington's? Huh? That's right! You weren't here. You were off doing god knows wha-"
"He's mine! He's mine! He is mine! He- he's mine!" James' voice broke. "He's all I got left! He's all I got in this crappy hell-hole of a world I live in!"
Kitty hadn't been expecting that, but she wasn't about to soften with this boy. "He hasn't been yours for the past two years James. He's a Washington now. Whether you like it or not."
James stared at Kitty, and she stared right back. They stood like that for a moment, him shoved against the wall and them glowering at each other. Until he kissed her, it was quick, and light, but sweet.
She pulled away. "What the hell is wrong with you James Hamilton?!?"
"You know you liked it Kit."
"If you had a middle name I would so use it right n-"
"Eugene." James sighed.
Kitty glared at him, repulsed. "What?" She hissed.
"My middle name is Eugene. James Eugene Hamilton." He explained.
Kitty looked him up and down and leaned in, she kissed him one more time. "Well, James Eugene Hamilton. I like you a lot."
