American's are Weird

Alex stuck his tongue out behind Thomas' back. Ew, it was longer and slimier than he could've imagined. He had to cross his eyes to see the pink wiggly muscle, but it was disgusting to say the least. Alex turned to Laf. "Can I see your tongue?"

"What?" Laf asked. He rolled his eyes. "Man, Americans are weird."
"No, Laf, I- I want to see if my tongue is grosser than most, or just as gross as anyone's tongue."Alex said.
"Like I said." Laf murmured. "Americans are weird weird people."

"Laf! Just show me your damn tongue!" Alex practically shouted, trying to keep his voice a normal volume despite the small burning flame of anger that was balled up in his chest as the moment.
"Sorry." Laf shrugged and stuck his tongue out. It was just as gross as Alex's, if not slimier, longer and pinker.

"Thank you Laf, that really really helped me. I don't have a gross tongue." Alex giggled. "But you sure do!"
"What? I have a gross tongue?" Laf covered his mouth with his hand, tears began to fall out of his eyes and his lip quivered. "I- I try to clean it when I brush my teeth I just, I didn't know it was so gross!"
"No- it's not! Its gross on a tongue-y level! Like all tongues! You have a beautiful tongue Lafayette." Alex assured his brother.

"That is by far the strangest compliment I've ever heard." Lafayette chortled. "But, also by far the nicest. And actually, one of the best and nicest things you have ever said to me Alexander Hamilton . . . Washington?"
"Hamilton, I keep my name. It helps me feel still connected to my birth mom." Alex sighed and clutched the ring on his finger that had been given to him by his birth mom a few years ago when they were sick.

"What? Like a married woman who hyphenates? See what I mean? Americans. Are. So. Flipping. Weird." Laf emphasized every word.
"Can't say I disagree Laf." A familiar and, very irish voice whispered.
Laf twirled around. "Charli! Hey, I didn't know you were coming today! How ya been?"
"Fantastic, we told Herc I'm his half sister and know I can talk in my real voice, accent and all."Charli said, her voice very . . . irish?
"That's great! I don't know what I would do if I had to talk without my french accent, it would be horrible." Laf then stuck out his tongue and pulled it back in. "Is my tongue really weird looking Charli?"
"No way my man!" Charli exclaimed.
"Thanks guuuuuuurrrllll." Laf giggled and skipped off with Charli.
