I lazily yawned as I looked through the mail. It was almost lunch tim an I just woken up. I was downstairs, I had just finished making coffee for myself and I had also made breakfast for Mom, Dad, and for my little brother John.

There wasn't anything that interesting the pile of mail today.

Bills.

Bills.

Bills.

Bills.

Fancy letter with the Harvard logo.

Bills.

B-- wait whaaaaaaat?!

I quickly moved all the other papers aside, and held the fancy envelope. I tossed the useless bills away and clutched the letter in my hand.

I knew things'd get better as soon as I got my letter from Harvard. Not Duke or Brown.

I riped it with my teeth, not even bothering if they would break. I pulled out the folded letter and smiled.

"Okay, breathe, Y/n, don't get your hopes up. If they don't accept you... it... it's fine. Totally..." I said to myself. "Now open the letter and read!!"

I opened the letter and read out loud.

"Dear Ms. Laurens, we are pleased to inform you that we acCEPT YOU AS OUR STUDENT!?" I let out a high pitched squeal.

I jumped and pumped my fist into the air. I danced around in a circled and began bouncing like a little girl.

I heard rushing footsteps thunder down the stairs. Followed by a softer sounding pair and a slower one.

"WHO'S TAKING MY BACON?!"

"Henry, calm down!"

"Y/N!? YOU BE TOOK THE BACON?!"

"Trust no one Dad." I heard John say. Then wispered. "Even yourself."

"I TOOK THE BACON!?"

John laughed so hard he snorted. Mom gave him a glare and approached me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Mom asked.

"It's nothing, Mom. I just got accepted TO HARVARD!!!" I yelled, waving the letter. A smile instantly grew on her face.

She rushed over and engulfed me into a sweet hug. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close as the joyful tears slid down my face.

"Sweetie, we're so proud." Mom said and hugged me.

"Thanks Mom." I whispered.

"Hooray! Y/n's off to college and I get to keep my bacon! Win-win!" Dad yelled.

"What else does it say, N/n?" Mom asked.

"You've passed the entrance exam with high grades. You are to start schooling in two weeks' time. We are pleased to have you with us. Welcome to Harvard, Ms. Laurens!" I said. "Ah!! This is so exciting!!"

"I know, dear!" Mom said, hugging me again.

"Never thought you'd get in." John said.

"That's why you should study hard, my dear John." I replied, poking the tip of his nose. "Or you'll be a future gas station attendant."

He huffed and crossed his arms. "Two weeks left huh?" John said. "That seems a little short to me."

"Yeah well--"

"How you gonna tell your boyfriend? I mean, Alex does need to know he's got two weeks." John said.

My world stopped. Time froze but my mind was racing. What in the name of the world was I thinking? Two weeks before I move out and Alexander doesn't even know!?

"Oh. My. Frick." I muttered. "Mom, I need to tell him."

"But we need to have brunch." She replied.

"Mom, please." I begged.

"After eating, dear. Then you can go to the Washingtons' house." She said.

(Washingdad is back for more yall)

"I... But..." I sighed. "Okay, Mom."

"BACON BABIES, HERE I COME."

~~~
I knocked eargerly on the wooden door. I clutched the letter in one hand and the end of my sweater in the other.
The door opened to reveal the petite Martha Washington. She smiled at me and wiped her hands on her apron.
"Y/n, dear! Come in! Come in." She said and geastured me to enter.
"Thank Mrs. Wahington." I said as soon as I stepped in. "Is... uh... I Alex around?"
"In his room with his brother." She said. "They've been yelling 'DIE' for the last two hours. Either they got into a really bad arguement or they just suck at Call of Duty. Or is it Overwatch?" (#OrIsItOverwatch)
I giggled at Mrs. Wash and made my way to Alex's room. I walked down the hallway and heard the pew pewing of guns and the yelling of men. I knocked on Alex's bedroom door a few times.
"IT'S LOCKED FOR A REASON!" Alex yelled in response.
"Even for me?" I called.
Th pew pewing stopped. The door swung open to reveal his brother Lafayette. They aren't biological brothers being both orphans.
Laf was wearing a t-short and jeans (johns if pronounced in French). His curly locks were tied back as usual.
"Y/n, hi." He greeted.
"Hey."
"I suppose you want private time with Alexander, no?" He asked.
"Yeah." I replied. "Before you anything, no we will not engage in any inappropriate actions."
He pouted with fake disappointment. I laughed and pushed him out of the room.
"Out. Out. Out. Out." I said.
"Okay, okay. Jeez." He said and left the room, leaving me alone with Alex.
He was dressed in a very Alexander-sque fashion. His brown hair tied into a pony tail, a green sweater and jeans.
"DIE WIDOWMAKER! DIE DIE!!" He yelled at the screen.
Definately playing Overwatch. Or is it Call of Duty? (#OrIsItCallOfDuty)
"Hey, Love!" I said.
"Tracer, get out of my room." He replied.
I rolled my eyes. "You play too many video games." I muttered.
"Can't stop, won't stop!" He said.
"Anyway, look what came into the mail today?" I said, excitemet audiable in my voice.
"Your Hogwarts acceptance letter?"
Ha. I wish... Hey, I've been waiting for years! The owl is just lost. Okay?
"No. It's my Harvard acceptance letter." I said.
Alex immediately droppedthe controller. He turned his head towards me, his warm brown eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Are you...?"
"I'M ACCEPTED!!" I yelled.
Alexander rushed over and picked me up. He spun me in the air several times before setting me back down.
"That's amazing, Babe!" He said, giving me a short but passionate kiss on the lips. "I couldn't be happier for you."
My smile faltered as I remembered I only had two weeks left here in town before I have to go. Two freaking weeks. That's just fourteen days!
Alex noticed my change of mood. He looked at me with concern all over his face. His eye brows knitted together as he tilted his head in confusion.
"Y-Y/n?" He said. "Honey, what's wrong?"
"I... I'm leaving in two weeks." I replied, tears pricking my e/c orbs.
"Wh... what?"
"Harvard requires me to be there in two weeks, Lexi." I explained.
"Hey, Baby, don't cry." Alexander said, caressing my cheek and wiped away some forming tears.
"B-but... I'll be... s-so far a-a-away... a-and... you won't... you won't--"
"Shush, my dearest." He said, wrapping an arm around me. "We'll figure things out. We gon' be alright."
