It was in the middle of summer.
You and nine other persons were invited on this newly bought island, all with a  different reason.

A friend invited one...
One was promised to see someone they lost contact with...
And so on...

This place was called the Island of The Bird.
A known lullaby always came to mind when you thought about that island.
The lullaby Ten Little Birds.

It went like this...

Ten little birds went for dinner at last,
One of them drank so much they didn't last.
-Only nine left.
Nine little birds went to sleep at midnight,
One never woke up from that night.
-Only eight left.
Eight little birds were staying on an island,
One never wanted to quit that land.
-Only seven left.
Seven little birds were chopping wood,
In half one got cut just like wood.
-Only six left.
Six little bird were dreaming about bees,
One got stung by that 'bee.'
-Only five left.
Five little birds were lawyers at court,
One got send to an higher court.
-Only four left.
Four little birds were swimming at dawn,
That fish made one drown.
-Only three left.
Three little birds went to a zoo,
One bear didn't like that shoo.
-Only two left.
Two little birds were relaxing to the sun,
One did burn.
-Only one left.
One little bird was left all alone,
All alone...it went to hang.
-Only...none left.

It'll be fun.
