Here comes the general!
This is based off from this-
Philip POV-
I am super excited for today, dad said Mr Washington coming over. Dad said when he was in the war he was the general before he became President. I secretly go into dad's closet looking for something special. After looking I finally found it. It's a war outfit and a hat. Dad told me this was Mr Washington's hat, and Mr Washington gave it to him when the war ended. I grab the hat and the uniform and trot back into my room....well me and Angie's.
"What are you doing?" My sister Angie asked.
"Dressing up as Mr Washington!" I say back proudly.
"Okay,"
I go into the bathroom and I change, I am only 8 but I can get dressed easily by myself. (I'm only 19 but my mind is older-) I look in the mirror when I finished, something looked off. Oh yeah, I tuck my hair under the hat so I can look even more like Mr Washington. Now I have to act stern.
"Grrr" I grunt. That should do, I trot back into my room and Angie says,
"You look good big bro!"
"Thanks Angie, don't tell mom or dad I want it to be a surprise,"
"Okay, we should make a chant when you are coming down the hall,"
"I remember dad saying him and his friends always said 'here comes the general',"
"That should do bro!"
I smile as I sit next to my sister. I stare out the window so I can know the perfect time I should come out.
Around 10 minutes later I see a car pull in and Mr Washington comes out. I feel the happiness boiling inside me. I see him walk inside, and then I hear dad and him talking.
"Philip, Angie he is here!" Dad calls.
"You ready sis?"
"Yep,"
I trot down the hallway and Angie says
"Here comes the general!"
I make it to the end of the hall and I look up to both of them smiling.
"Oh my god Philip that's to cute-" Dad says.
"I have to agree it was," Mr Washington says.
"Mission accomplished!" I yell out. Which made Angie laugh. While Mr Washington was here he told us stories about during the war, and Dad told some stories as well. It was cool and scary as well. Dad said that redoats ambushed them one time and everyone thought Dad died. Dad also told stories about his friends,
"John Laurens, Lafayette, and Hercules Mulligan, were my first and best friends," he said. John Laurens sounds familiar...I can't quiet remember. Then it hit me, that's the name of the angel. That must be why he knew so much about Dad. But that's a question for another day....
The end
