It was chilly outside the blue two story house. Lighting slashed at the sky and thunder clouds darkened it. Inside the house all the lights were off, Lafayette and Hercules lay side by side on their bed. Another bolt of lightning lit up the room through the blinds and Hercules whimpered pulling up the sheets. He was still ice cold. 

After 10 minutes of hearing Herc's whimpering, Lafayette sat up. His hair was messily pulled back into a ponytail and the flyaways were sticking up. Herc thought it was cute.

"Mon ange, what is the matter?" Lafayette asked in his thick French accent.

Another bolt of lightning flashed and Hercules shuddered.

"Oh." Lafayette whispered, a sad look on his face. 

Then he brightened. 

"C'mere!" He said.

He held out his arms and almost immediately Hercules fell into them. Lafayette ran his fingers through Herc's hair and whispers reassuring things into his ears. And there the sat snuggling until they both fell into a peaceful sleep.
