Skiing-Leebury

(Note: I've never been skiing, so if I get something wrong, that's why)

Samuel Seabury wasn't all too familiar with the concept of "Skiing", so when his friend, King, left him to talk to some guy he found cute, he decided to just go up to the chair lift to one of the smaller hills to get some practice.

He sat in a chair lift next to a boy with indigo, almost black in color, hair, shaved on one side. He was incredibly cute, Sam would admit. But, unlike King, he isn't one to flirt with a stranger he'll only see for a couple minutes.

The chair lift was already going to the taller, more advanced courses, so Sam decided to stay on until it swooped back around.

Halfway up the hill, the chair lift stopped abruptly.

"Well, shit." He heard the stranger mutter under his breath, looking at Sam. "I guess we're stuck here."

"Damn." Sam muttered. "Hopefully for not long." He smiled shyly at the stranger, gaining a small chuckle from the stranger.

"Well, since we're stuck here together, might as well get to know each other a little, hm?" He smiled, showing his blindingly white teeth. "I'm Charles."

"Uh, Samuel." Sam replies. "But everyone calls me Sam."

"Well, nice to meet ya, Sam." He chuckled. "You came here alone?"

Samuel shook his head. "No, I came with my friend."

"Then why are you on the lift with me, instead of your friend?"

"He ditched me to flirt with some guy." Samuel confessed.

Charles chuckled. "Damn, thats cold."

Samuel chuckled as well. "I know right!? Especially since he said that he'd teach me!"

"Wait, you don't know how to ski?" Charles asked.

Samuel shook his head as the chair lift started moving again.

"Well then Samuel," Charles said, getting off as the chair lift eventually got to the smaller hill, helping Sam off. "I shall teach you."

Samuel and Charles didn't meet for three years after that.

It was December 6th, the day of their first meeting 3 years ago, and Samuel couldn't get the boy out of his mind.

He was currently in a Starbucks, waiting for his drink to be ready as he finished up a paper for one of his classes. He noticed the snow starting to fall gently, making it an almost perfect scene in those cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies.

It had all the key ingredients. The snow, the coffee shop, the college student finishing up his paper. It was just missing one thing.

"Samuel Sea-berry?" The barista called, mispronouncing his last name.

Sam smiled to himself, getting up from his seat to get his drink from the barista.

"Thank you." He thanked shyly, giving the cute barista a small smile, almost spilling his drink as he recognized the barista.

"Charles!?" The boy said in shock. The barista smiled, nodding.

"I figured it was you, kid." He chuckled, writing something on the receipt, handing it to Sam, winking. "Call me sometime, yeah?"

Sam smiled, nodding.

A perfect scene from those cheesy Hallmark movies, alright.

511 words

The longest one shot in this book so far

It was originally gonna be much, MUCH shorter, but something made me write the second part, and I'm glad I did. Otherwise I wouldn't have been satisfied.

Now I see why people like writing oneshots :)

Also, I would've done something Christmas related, but not everyone celebrates Christmas (and December barely started), so I'm just gonna do winter themes for the most part :)
