A Winters Ball-Philidosia
"Remember, no girls, no sex, no liquor, no wife, no-" Alexander started at his son, Philip, before his wife, Eliza, grabbed his arm, interrupting him.
"Alexander, let the boy live." Eliza said, giggling before looking at her son. "Go have fun tonight, Pip."
Philip smiled at his mother, nodding. "I will, ma." He turned to leave before he heard his mother speak again.
"Oh, and Pip?" Philip turned his head, indicating that she had his attention. "Snag a good girl, will ya?"
Philip chuckled, nodding before walking towards the crowd of young women and men.
Alexander sighed, looking at his wife. "What if he meets Burrs daughter? I would not like my son to marry a Burr."
Eliza rolled her eyes. "And what would it matter if he does? As long as he's happy, I'm fine with it."
"But he's only seventeen! He's much too you g to be thinking about a wife!"
"Alexander, there's no guarantee for tomorrow." Eliza countered. "And he's always wanted a family of his own. It's best to have a head start now than die before he ever gets a chance to."
"But-"
"And it may not be Theodosia Jr. he marries." Eliza continued. "There're plenty of women here, both around his age and as smart as he is. One of them are bound to sweep him off his feet."
"Aren't you worried that he may never find a girl that wants to even talk to him!?"
Eliza sighed. "Alexander, he's your son. He might've gotten my personality and kindness-"
"HEY!"
"BUT, he also got your charms as well as your stubbornness. He's the splitting image of you, Alexander. And with his Hamilton charms, I'm moreso afraid of the men here losing their wives to the boy."
Alexander rolled his eyes, not wanting to admit that his wife was right. About everything.
"No boys, no husbands, no sex, no-" Burr started at his daughter, Theodosia Jr. (who, for simplicity sake, I'm just gonna refer to Theo)
"Dad, calm down." Theo interrupted him. "I'm smart enough to not get into that sort of trouble."
Burr sighed. "I know sweetie, but you're my baby girl, and I don't want my baby to go so soon."
Theo rolled her eyes. "Dad, I'm seventeen."
"Exactly! You're old enough to be courted! I don't want my baby to be courted at such a young age."
Theo rolled her eyes again, already walking off. "I'll be fine, dad!"
Burr sighed, watching his daughter blend into the crowd. He was t worried about his daughter marrying, per se. He was moreso worried about the fact that Hamilton's boy is here, and, knowing that he's Alexander's son, he knew that he would instantly sweep his daughter off her feet.
He prayed that wasn't the case.
So the two teenagers, who had never met, spent the night at the ball, dancing with various strangers, being young and stupid.
Suddenly, Theo accidentally stepped on a mans foot.
"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!" Theo apologized immediately, looking at the boy, drinking up his features, like his curls that any girl (such as herself) would be jealous of, his freckles that covered his face, his nearly black eyes. She felt her face grow warm.
"No, I'm sorry, I wasn't looking." He said shyly, his own face growing warm at the girl before him.
Philip grabbed her hand, kissing it. "My name is Philip Hamilton."
"Theodosia Burr." Theo replied.
The two knew the others last name, and suddenly knew that, even if they wanted to, they couldn't be together, simply because of their fathers.
"I hope to see you again, Philip." Theo smiled, noticing the crowd dying down a bit, already walking towards her father, who looked livid.
"As to you, Theodosia." Philip smiled, walking towards his livid father and ecstatic mother.
This should be fun...
Years later, the two, now adults, were married, laughing and having fun.
"Why did you pick a Hamilton to marry?" Burr whined to his, newly married, daughter.
"Because he's cute, smart, creative, and cute." Theo giggled at her childish father.
Burr rolled his eyes, looking at his new son-in-law. As much as he hated Hamilton, he knew this the boy was kind, and treated Theo right, something his father failed to do.
"Well, as long as you're happy, I'm happy." Burr smiled at his daughter, a genuine smile, Theo returning it, walking up to her new husband, kissing him on the cheek before inviting him to dance.
Hmm... Burr thought, watching the two newlyweds dance. Maybe you can really change history.....

Is it obvious that I've had this floating around my head for a while now?
