Slightly inspired by the advertisements for The Sun Is Also A Star.

But I haven't seen it so this is basically all me.

~Eliza POV~

"Hey!" I shouted.

Alexander laughed as he reached the tree before me.

I finally caught up to him. "No fair. I'm wearing a skirt."

He smirked "It was your choice to wear it."

I was probably blushing terribly. Even after seven months of dating he still made her feel completely Helpless.

"Yeah, I guess so," I said, flipping down in the grass.

He laid down next to me. I turned so I was facing him.

"Random questions?" I suggested.

"Sure," he said. "Favorite color?"

"Light blue. Yours?"

"Green."

"Green's a nice color," I said, feeling slightly awkward.

"Yeah," he said airily.

"Anyway," I said "have you ever kissed anyone? Not family?"

Alex stared at me hard. "Um no."

"Huh. Okay."

"Why do you ask?"

I turned so I was staring at the sky. "N-nothing. Just um... curious."

"You interested?" he asked after a few minutes.

I turned back to him. "In what?"

He looked away. "Nevermind. You'll find out soon."

I gazed back skyward, us just lying there peacefully.

His hand slipped into mine, then pulled away.

I grabbed his hand and didn't let it go.

"Eliza..." Alex started. "You... you..."

I smirked at his expression. "Yes?"

"You make me speechless," he finally choked out.

I smiled. "Wow. I thought with you that was impossible."

"With you, it isn't," he said smoothly.

I laughed. "You're incredibly cheesy."

"Oh, I know. It's a talent of mine."

I blushed and looked away. Again.

"You're acting like it's our first date," Alex noted. "Why are you so nervous?"

I sighed. "Because you're way too good for me, Alexander. I don't deserve you."

He laughed. "Now you're the cheesy one."

"What?"

"I'm not good enough for you," Alex insisted.

"Um..."

"What? Are you doubting my intellect?"

"Yes, frankly. Any more questions?" I asked teasingly.

"Kiss me?" he suggested.

I blushed again.

Make up your mind.

I sighed. "Okay."

I rolled closer to him until I was almost on top of him.

That's when our lips connected.

He wrapped his arms around me mid-kiss and hugged me tighter then I would normally have let him.

And I was Helpless.
