Lafayette- Intoxication (c)

There was a celebration within the bar amongst your group of friends. Honestly you couldn't really say what the celebration was for, actually there probably wasn't one at all; nevertheless, everyone was trying to drink to a purpose that was long lost.

You had lost your friends amongst the people, having taken a seat at the bar to drink, whilst the five men sat around a table. Alex had continued to try and include Burr within their revolutionary ideas, knowing he was a great mind, comparable to his, but it was a little lost to the world due to how reserved over his thoughts and opinions he was.

It probably wasn't smart to have left them alone, but they were adults and you wanted to hope that they could take care of themselves, but from the loud French yelling, you were pretty sure that wasn't the case.

Putting your glass down on the bar, you made your way back to the table you had left the five men at seeing four of the men sat around the table, whilst Lafayette was stood, flailing his arms as he spoke to them all.

"Mulligan you are a dear friend to me," he smiled pointing a long finger towards his one friend, his grin spread across his face. Hercules seemed slightly drunk too, and raised his glass to the compliment he had received from the Frenchman.

Lafayette turned to John with the same cheesy grin. "And Laurens, I appreciate you very much."

He leant a hand onto the man by his side's shoulder, giving it an encouraging squeeze as he went to talk to him too. You knew that Lafayette and Alexander were rather close due to Alexander being the only of the other men whom could speak French, allowing a better line of communication for the two of them.

"Oh Hamilton! How I love you my friend," he exclaimed, letting his other hand flail out dramatically as he spoke of his friend.

The three men that were usually within the group all seemed rather chuffed with how their drunken friend had spoken of them, whereas Aaron remained emotionless, having not been drawn into conversation, not until Lafayette finally turned to him, contorting his face into an expression of confusion before back into his excited grin.

"Yes... and Burr, well I haven't hoped that an Englishman has shot you in at least a week."

Although it wasn't much of a compliment, it was a rather large one coming from Lafayette to Aaron. You shook your head at the men walking around the French one.

"Are you drunk?" You sighed, knowing he was but wanting to know if in his drunken state he was conscious of the fact.

"No," he grinned. "Just cheery."

You laughed gently. He was a kind drunk, and stuck with being a good man as he was without the alcohol in his system but you couldn't help but laugh at his reactions.

"You are so drunk," you stated rolling your eyes, realising it was now your responsibility to get all five of the men home safely due to their intoxicated states.
