Being anxious had become a normal occurrence in your life recently. By no means were you upset in your marriage to Aaron, the complete opposite actually, you were still head over heels for him as you had been since you had first met. However, his political career, and the current road to a new life for America did concern you slightly due to the possible changes happening to the world and uncertainties of the future.

With all of these worldly uncertainties that left many questions as to how stable your home life would be in the near future; it made your latest doctor's appointment put some things into perspective along with increasing the worries that you held in your heart.

You hoped that what you now knew would make Aaron happy, but this is what worried you most- relying on hope. Hope lacked any factual element and was blinded by the hearts desires. Nevertheless, there wasn't anything you could do other than simply tell Aaron the news and trust he wouldn't deem this a burden, rather seeing it as a blessing.

You knew your husband, he wanted a family, but with his career going so well currently, you didn't want to be the cause of distraction in forcing his attentions onto his family life.

If felt as though you had been stood outside his office for an eternity, having succumbed to your nervous thoughts, unable to knock to announce your presence. Before you could either knock or flee, the door opened revealing the tired face of your husband. In your opinion, he worked himself too hard, and it tore at you too see him so downtrodden after the endless work he had to tend to.

As soon as your eyes met, his lit up, a smile plastered on his face with a slight look of confusion.

"Y/N?" He smiled rubbing a hand over his tired face. "How long have you been stood there?"

Your eyes widened knowing that telling the truth in this situation would just confirm how peculiar you were and how nervous you felt about the current situation.

"Oh... not long... I was going to knock, I just remembered you were busy so I was going to come back later. Yeah... I'll... um... I'll come back later," you smiled awkwardly, turning on your heal, attempting to make a hasty escape.

Aaron's hand gently held yours to gesture for you to stay.

"I'm not too busy to speak to my wife," he smiled. "I'm never too busy to talk to you. No matter what you come first."

You couldn't help but let the genuine smile escape onto your face.

"Thank you, Aaron," you nodded your head gently not attempting to flee.

"What did you want me for?" He asked.

"Oh... urm... I needed to tell you something. I had to go to the doctors this morning," you trailed off not being able to find the words.

Concern washed over him, looking rather terrified as to why you had visited the doctor and not discussed with it prior to going.

"Are you okay, my Love?" He asked moving his hand up your arm to comfort you.

"Yes," you nodded your head. "I just need to tell you something."

He raised an eyebrow wanting to find out what was happening quickly rather than keeping the concern running around his head.

"I think it is good news. I hope you consider it good news," you said softly. "We are going to start our family very soon."

Aaron's face became stunned, taking a moment to allow the information to sink in due to what you had told him.

"You are pregnant?" He asked.

You nodded your head.

Instantly he grinned at you, moving to wrap his arms around you, pressing his lips to yours passionately.

"I love you," he smiled warmly.

"I love you too."
