Life story  Yvette was born on November 28th, 1758 to Michel de Lafayette and his wife, Marie Louise Jolie de La Riviere. Growing up, she and her older brother were inseparable. Her father died before her first birthday and her mother died before she even turned twelve. She was a very quiet person after her mother's death until she began coming out of her shell at the age of 14. On her 15th birthday, she married Theodore de LaBlanc. She never saw him as a lover, more as a best friend, and he felt the exact same way.

Yvette spent a lot of time with her nieces and nephews and she and Adrienne got along very well with one another. In early 1782, she took a trip to the Americas with her husband and met Bella Hamilton. The two remained very close after that, commonly communicating through letters. Yvette would constantly curse Lafayette out over Diane of Simiane, though she treated Diane with respect. She would constantly tell Adrienne how her brother did not deserve her at all. In 1787, her oldest child and only son died at the age of ten of smallpox and Yvette was stricken with grief. It took her a little over a year to get over her son's death.

In 1789, the french revolution broke out and she sent her youngest daughter , Belle , to stay with Carrie Carter in America. Meanwhile, Yvette was imprisoned with the rest of her family. Her husband was executed in the summer of 1793 and she wrote "I do not only feel the loss of a husband, but of a best friend."   In 1801, Yvette met Elise de Couture and the two women fell in love with one another. Yvette blamed Lafayette for Adrienne's death in 1807 and hardly spoke to him after that. Yvette drew her final breath on December 16th, 1820 at the age of 62, dying of throat cancer.

*finds out that Laf cheated twice* "So, you have chosen death."
