Ham's POV

I wake up at about 6:15. "I'll never get used to this..." I say to myself, looking out at the darkness of the early morning. I get up and head to the living room. "Geez, I need to get a new couch at one point." I sigh. I head down the hall to the bathroom and splash some water on my face from the sink. "Wow, I'm a mess". I look at my phone to see 3 texts.

5:30 am
Laurens: Hey bro!

6:05
Laurens: Its me Laurens! U up?

6:15
Laurens: Dude, the bus is coming in about 20 minutes.

Me: Sorry.

Laurens: Get ready dude!

Me: OK.

I put my phone in my book bag, which is by the door. I take a quick shower and get dressed. I head to the kitchen and open the fridge. "Hmm, what to eat. Shoot, I'm going to be late soon. I'll just grab a granola bar. I grab a granola bar, my book bag, and rush out the door. I rush to my bus stop and see four people there. "Here comes some other guy." A guy whispers to the others. "Hello." I say awkwardly. "Hey." The guy says, spitting a piece of gum on the sidewalk. "Name's Thomas. My friends call me T-Jeff." He leans on the bus stop sign. "My name's Alexander Hamilton. Nice to meet you!" I smile. "Yeah, whatever." Thomas rolls his eyes. One of the two girls chuckle. After a couple minutes of quiet the bus arrives. I try to get on first and get pushed on the sidewalk. "Out my way nerd!" Thomas gets on. I get up and resume getting on. "Alex! It's me Laurens!" A familiar voice says. I follow where the voice came from and sit next to Laurens. "Hey Alex, I haven't seen you since last year upstate!" Laurens smiles. "Hey Alex? You okay?" He asks concerned. "Yeah, why?" I tilt my head. "You look tired". I look at Laurens and think why he asked that. "I am very tired!" I yawn. "Did you know your the last stop Alex?" Laurens looks out of the window. "Really?" I say shocked. "Yup, we're almost at the school already". Laurens points around the corner and I see the school. "Wow." I look where Laurens is pointing. We pull up to the school and screech to a stop. "Let's go Alex, stick with me". I follow Laurens into the main building. We head into the cafeteria and we sit down with 2 others. " Hey guys!" Laurens smiles. "This is Alexander, you know, the one I told you about?" He points at me. I wave at them. "Yo, I'm Mulligan. Hercules Mulligan". He holds his hand out and I shake it. "Bonjour, je m'appelle Lafayette". I tilt my head. " He said: Hello, my name is Lafayette." Laurens clarified, he's from France.

"Oui, je suis en effet le français." I scratch my head. "He agreed with me. Laf, Speak English please". Laurens sighs. " Fine". Laf frowns. "Yo, Laf. Can you teach my how to swear on French so I don't get a detention today?* Hercules asks. "Nah". Lafayette shakes his head. "John, we're bein' sent up." Hercules points at the crowd of people moving. "OK let's go!" Laurens stands up, grabbing his stuff. "Let's meet up here at lunch." Laurens adds. We split up, heading to our lockers. I grab my pencil and phone. Midway through I get a text.

?: Hi~!

Me: Hello?

?: This is Alexander Hamilton, right?

Me: Yeah...?

?: Cool, Laurens gave me your number. I'm sitting with you guys at lunch, cool?

Me: Sure?

I look up to see the teacher walk in. The teacher talks for the entire class, I nearly fell asleep. I go through 3ish more classes and it was lunch before I knew it. I saw Laurens waving for me and I joined him. I look at the group and see a girl blushing. "Hello". The girl pulls out her phone and shows me the same conversation I had with another person earlier. "That was me. My name is Eliza". She winks at me. " Alex? Ya got a girlfriend already?" Laurens raises an eyebrow. Eliza blushes. "N-no!" I blush and look away. After we eat the group teases us. "Alex and Eliza, sitting in a tree. K. I. S. S. I. N. G!" Lafayette winks. Eliza runs to the bathroom.

Eliza: Alexander?

Me: Yeah?

Eliza: I shouldn't have sat with you.

Me: No, it's fine.

Eliza: Thanks.

Me: Laf is looking at this, do what you need to do and get back out here, I know you don't want to be late for class.

Eliza: Ok!

I look up to see Mulligan laughing and a guy walking past. The rest of the day was pretty normal. At dismissal I see Eliza again and that's about it.
