Eliza swung onto her seat at the lunch table. "Gosh, what a day."

Angelica smiled. "What happened?"

"Mr. Harmon assigned to extra pages of homework cuz Jefferson mouthed off."

"That jerk."

"Hey, at least he's going on vacation in two weeks."

"That's not nearly soon enough."

"Agreed." Lafayette agreed.

Mulligan (Mulligan is gonna get weird fast, it's my puppy's name😂) suddenly voices up. "This is super random, it what's with this school and doppelgängers? I mean, Peggy and Maria, Laff and Jefferson. Me and Madison. They all look exactly alike, except that Peg and Laff wear ponytails."

Angelica scoffed. "I'm sure we could tell their faces apart without the updos."

"Peggy, Lafayette, would you please take your hair down?"

The two did.

Everyone stared at them for a couple minutes before giving up. "Ok, ok, Herc," Angelica admitted. "They look exactly the same. It's weird, like they're the same people or something."

"Huh," Peggy said. "That is weird," She shrugged.

"Where is Maria?" John asked.

"I forgot you were at the dentist this morning," Eliza said. "She's home sick. So's Kyla."

Laurens gasped. "Is little baby Susie ok?!"

"Yeah."

"Good." He looked relieved.

Eliza was taking a walk through the park that afternoon, when she felt someone grip her arm. She whirled around to see Alexander.

"What is it?" She snapped.

"I wanted to say sorry. For everything. I made a mistake, a bad one, and I regret it. I'm sorry."

Eliza arched an eyebrow.

"I know that I was an a**hole. I shouldn't have cheated. It wasn't fair. I really am sorry. I screwed up big time. I get it if you don't want anything to do with me, but could we at least be friends?"

Eliza hummed. "I'll think about it."

"Oh, thank you, thank you!"

Eliza gave him a curt nod before walking away. She started mulling over the idea of forgiving Alex. It was true, that down in her heart, a part of her longed to be in a relationship with him. But he had really hurt her. She would need to think long and hard about it before she made a final decision, that much was clear.
