Lin walked down the streets of New York. His hands were in his pockets as he let out a soft sigh, Pounding the events that had happened in the weeks after he was left at the altar by his ex-Vanessa. He didn't know what to think or how to feel about it. He won't blame her for leaving him but he just doesn't understand why. He continues to rack his brain over and over again, But he just couldn't think of it.

He walked down the street as he looked down at his feet and looked up as he passed the houses and the adoption center with the saying "Love for a child, Love for a home."

He looked up at the building and smiled "Vanessa loved children, She would have loved one" he said softly with a soft chuckle. Lin hummed as he passed the building and continued on with his walk. He passed people, buildings that he knew quite well, He passed kids with their mom and dads and sometimes both. He passed a woman walking her dog, His lips formed a small smile as he continued on.

His mind was still pondering over the message that she wrote to him on that day.

"I realized that I'm not ready for marriage. I have my whole life ahead of me and I'm still trying to figure things out and I realize that I cannot keep you and hold you down tied up like a dog to a person who doesn't have their life yet together."

That was it, That was the only phrase that kept circling around in his head for weeks and weeks on end.

"Maybe I did something wrong??" Lin muttered under his breath as he walked, The sounds of children laughing and running around as Lin passed the park that was located on the street away next to the school yard. "Maybe it's for the best" Lin said, muttering under his breath as he looked up to see the clouds crowding all together in a group, The sky started to turn grey as a small drop of water fell on his head.

"What the heck" Lin muttered looking up at the sky. He saw people running around with their coats over their heads as they ran home or got into their cars just so they won't get wet.

"Shit, This is just great" Lin muttered as she started to walk fast so he won't get wet. His walks soon turned into a jog and the jog turned into a run as she ran down the sidewalk trying to beat the rain.

Yeah, So Lin didn't make it home in time and he got wet by rain water, so he was soaked from head to toe in the rain. He knew that he should have brought his umbrella when he saw the news cast, But he decided not to bring it due to him thinking that he could make it home in time. He walked up to hir front door and opened it, walking inside and closing the door behind him. He took off his wet jacket and took off his shoes and sat them at the front of the door.

Lin shook his head as little rain drops went everywhere. He triedly ran a hand through his wet and messy hair as he walked over and into the wall and grabbed a towel from the closet. He signed and dried off his hair walking back over to the couch and sat down as he started to dry his hair.

Lin sighed deeply as he sat down on the couch and took out his phone in which his phone started to go off buzzing and buzzing in his hand from a 200 messages from his friends and family.

He blinked as he started to look through his text messages from his friends and family.

Daveed: Hey Lin, Buddy. Wanted to check up on ya. Me and Emmy were worried about you and we just wanted to make sure that you're okay

Emmy: Hey Lin sweetie, We haven't seen you in the last couple of days and we wanted to ya know check up on you. The last time we saw you was when we saw each other last week. You seemed depressed.

Ant: What's up Manuel, Me and Jasmine as well as everyone else were kinda scared about ya know that voice mail you sent us... You know the one where you were all like "Life shit" and you spent a whole hour on a drunken rant about how Shitty life is.

Jasmine: I know that Anthony messaged you already but I wanted to hear from you myself and to do a little check up on you. You know if you need anything You know that we are all here for you and that we care for ya.

He read through each and every message that was sent 2 from Oak, 3 from Alysha, 100 from his mother and father.

And as he expected 0 from Vanessa. Lin groaned as he laid back on his couch putting his socks on the arm rest as he started to make a deep rumbling noise in the back of his throat as he looked through his phone contacts again.

"Should I message her just to check up on her...??" Lin said as he tapped his fingers on his phone. "Maybe she's busy, Maybe she's asleep now" Lin licked his lips and pursed them together.

"Or maybe she's just....." He thought as he shook his head clearing the through.

A message appeared on Lin's phone the moment he was about to turn it off, A ding was heard making him turn his head and look at his phone again to see a message from phillipa.

phillipa:Hey sweetheart, How are ya feeling??

Lin looked at the message as he could feel his mind go to a completely blank slate as he read the message that Phillipa had sent him. Why does she want to talk to him?? Is everything okay with her?? She doesn't normal talk to him unless there is a problem?? He ponders and ponders over this until he decides to just ignore the feeling in his head and text her back.

Lin: Hey phillipa, How are you??

Phillipa: I'm doing good, I just wanted to text ya and see if you were okay, Love. We haven't really seen much of each other and that we haven't really seen you in some time. Everyone was worried sick about you. The way you looked at the wedding You didn't look like you were in the best of mind so i ummm....

Lin: Oh no, no no no Everything is okay

Phillipa: Yeah, Everything is okay. I just wanted to make sure that you were alright.

Lin smiled as he shook his head texting her back

Lin: I'm fine Phillipa, I'm sorry if I haven't seen myself lately. I just You know... haven't been in the right mood with the whole ya know dumped at the altar by the woman who i thought had loved me. And i just ummm

Phillipa: It's okay, It's okay Lin. Anway how are you doing??

Lin sat up and coughed into his arm and hummed sniffing "Everything is okay, What about you?" replied back to her text.

Lin and Phillipa talked to each other over the phone. "It's okay to be feeling these things Lin, It's a part of being human." Phillipa said over the phone.

Phillipa:I know that, But i just don't understand Lin. She liked you and she loved you. She clearly said that in the message that she typed out to you right and Maybe she just needs some time to herself and figure out what she wants to do and how she wants to do it. She loved and cared about you and she just didn't want to hold you down.

Lin: I thought she did too, Maybe it was horrible timing but yeah maybe she was right about what she said in her message. And that's okay. I-I just need some time to get my mind straightened out... But I'll be fine Phillipa, Believe me.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine" He said under his breath as he smiled "Y-yeah, That's okay... That's okay, I'm fine at all"He said as he stared at his phone waiting for these little dots to go away. He didn't want to be bother by people right now, But he did,

He needed a distraction, He needed a way to get his find off of it and off of everything that has been happening. It was messing with his head in a way and it started to hurt tremendously.

Phillipa: But anyway, I should go. I need to get up early in the morning for some business that I need to take care of and I can't reschedule it so, Yeah. If you need anything Lin I'm here for ya.

Lin: Yeah, Okay Thanks Phillipa. Oh umm, Hey listen I was wondering if you would like to go out for coffee. Ya know just two friends, Not like a date... Just as two friends.

Phillipa: Oh ummmm....., Lin I- hmm.

"Dumbasss, Fucking dumbass" His inner voice yelled at him in a screaming voice. It sounded like the little voice was pulling out his own hair.

Lin silently cursed himself as he groaned as he started to scratch at his arm, Like he does every single day.

Phillipa: sure, I love too Lin

Lin: Wait What....., For real??

Phillipa: Yeah sure, Why not.

Lin looked in shock as he blinked his eyes in shock, biting his bottom lip and an uneasy smile on his face.

Lin: Okay, I'll pick up

Phillipa: Okay, I can't wait to see you.

He nodded his head with a small smile on his face as he smiled brushing his hand in his hair as he smiled getting up and walking towards his bedroom before texting her one more time.

Lin: Same here.

A/n: Well, This was supposed to be a chapter that was following She left him at the altar, and to me it looked like I was just saying stuff that was going around in my head when I had no idea what to do with this chapter. So it's not really my best work and i'm sorry for that.
