Third persons pov
Phillipa and Lin have been best friends ever since they had laid eyes on each other in the 1st grade. These two 5-year-olds met when Lin moved into the house next to hers.

Their bedroom windows faced each other, and there was a tree right in the middle. Perfect for climbing right into the other room, they did it a lot.

After school the two would always hang out with each other, their parents knew they were super close but they didn't know they could climb into each other's room. Lin and Pippa wanted that to be their secret.

They spent more time in Phillipa's room, usually they just did their homework together and then geek out about musicals. The two were perfect for each other, and when they were 10 Pippa knew it.

It didn't take long for Pippa to realize that she was madly in love with her best friend. He was everything she dreamt about, he had dreamy eyes, soft hair, he's got the smarts, they liked the same things, they were not too similar but not too different either. They were perfect for each other.

She was devasted and crying all day when her dog, Billie died, and Lin was always there for her, brushing his fingers through her hair, making sure she ate, stayed hydrated, and slept. He was her rock.

When they were 12 something extremely surprising happened

Lin walked into his room with wide eyes, still surprised with what happened in his drama club. He needed to talk to his best friend, so he locked his bedroom door, dropped his backpack on the floor near the foot of his bed, and then proceeded to climb outside of his room window and onto the thick tree branch that joined their rooms.

He knocked on her window hoping she was free to talk, she was sitting on her bed and reading a book. So when she heard the knock she didn't look back but showed a sign with her hand that the two had made to tell the other to come in or not.

He sighed a little relieved but still had something he needed to get off his chest, it might spoil their relationship but he needed to tell her.

"Hey pip," he said as he slid through the window frame, she smiled but when she looked up at him she saw that he was nervous and a little sad. They could read each other like a book, "What's wrong?" she asked concerned.

"Uhm... I have something to tell you, you might not like me after I tell you this, but I need to, cause after what happened in drama today I realized that..."
She started to think of what all he must have realized. Maybe that he was in love with her as well.

"I'm bi... " he said bellow a whisper, but she still heard it. Her heart broke a little, she had no problem with his sexuality, she was just hoping that he liked her too.

Since she was a little disappointed at that moment she didn't show any emotion on her face. So naturally, Lin thought he lost his best friend, "You don't want to be my friend anymore do you?" he asked sadly.

She was surprised he even thought that "What? No, no, Lin I don't care if you're bi, I still love you" she said, he smiled and hugged her and whispered "I love you too" but she couldn't help but feel a pit form in her stomach. Because for some reason she knew he only meant that as a friend.

They pulled away from the hug and Pippa asked "So did you tell your parents yet?", he shook his head saying no. "Pip, I'm scared, I don't think I can tell them yet", she nodded, and then remembered something.

"How did you figure it out?" she asked, mainly thinking about the drama club. "Oh, well we were just practicing and Jacob was there you know-" she nodded for him to continue "well I thought he was really cute, but I didn't think I was bi, until...." he trailed off, "Until what?" she asked.

"Until he kissed me... Today... on the lips..." as those words passed his lips Pippa's heart sunk cause she wanted to kiss Lin, too.

"And it didn't feel wrong, I- it felt right..." she smiled at him, teasing him for having a crush.

That day she had a heavy heart finding out the boy she loved, liked someone else, but she was there for him all the way.

~~~~2 year's later~~~~

Lin sighed, terrified as to what his parent's reaction would be when he told them he was bi and not straight. Pippa noticed the worried expression on his face and held his hand, locking their fingers, she gave his hand a good squeeze to reassure him.

He smiled at her and then rang the bell to his house. His mother opened the door and greeted her son with a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Lin-Manuel, Pippa! Come in!" they both walked in, hands still locked.

His dad was on the couch and his mom soon joined him when Lin said he had something important to tell them. "Mama, Papa, I have something big to tell you", both his parents grinned ear to ear and exclaimed "You two are dating! Finally!".

They both looked at each other and she could see the fear in his eyes. It felt good to know that his parents already approved her, but that's not what they were there and she knew that . "Uhm no... I'm just gonna get this over with I like boys and girls..." he said, "I'm bisexual".

Their faces changed from happy to angry, "What did you say?" His dad asked with a low growl in his voice. Pippa couldn't imagine what Lin was feeling cause even she was super scared, "I'm bi..." Lin trailed softly.

Before they saw anything his mother threw her slipper at him, successfully striking his face, Pippa could see the tears falling down his cheeks and she couldn't help but do the same.

They started to spew insults in Spanish at him, Pippa understood all the harsh words because she grew up with them, and learnt Spanish, well basics.

"Get out of our house! And don't bother coming back!". The two didn't waste time, they ran out, both scared. She carefully pulled him into her house so they were not out in the open.

As soon as she closed the door with them inside, Lin fell to the floor, tears falling, he pulled his knees to his chest. Pippa sat next to him and held him, he leaned in a little as that happened. Seeing Lin like this Pippa couldn't help but cry, she couldn't believe that his parents could ever do such a thing.

Her parents walked out and saw them and immediately knelt down concerned for their daughters best friend. "What happened?" her mom asked, "His parents kicked him out" Pippa replied through tears.

"Why would they kick their son out?" her dad asked,  she looked at Lin to see if she could tell why, he nodded "Well, Lin's not exactly straight, he's bi".

Her parents were confused as to why his parents would kick him out for being bi, they thought it was horrible that they did what they did. "Mom can you get us some tea? I'm gonna take him to my room"  her mother nodded but stopped them before she could go up, "He can stay here".

Pippa smiled at that and proceeded to take him up.

~~~~13 year's later~~~~

The two still live together but in New York. Pippa was searching for shows to audition for and Lin was writing a musical (Hammy😉).

Pippa works at a Starbucks to get some money in, Lin had already made an impression in the Broadway community from 'In the Heights'. Pippa is still madly in love with her best friend, but still crazy scared to confess.

Today, Pippa was working and Lin was sitting in his regular seat, writing away. Pippa lifted the cup she needed to call out, but when she saw the name she chuckled knowing who it was.

"Prisoner 24601" she loudly called, "MY NAME IS JEAN VALJEAN!" Lin screamed as he stood up, she giggled and replied with "AND I'M JAVERT". People stared for a second but went back to their busy lives, he went and grabbed his coffee and said "Thank you Javert".

She laughed and said "Get lost I have work" he walked away with a sly smile, Les Mis was one of their favorite movies to watch together.

One of the other employees walked to her and asked "Hey Pippa, is that your boyfriend?" she blushed at her coworkers question. "No, no he's just my best friend. Why'd you ask Groff?" she asked, the blush still lightly dusted on her skin.

"Well he's really cute, and I wanna ask him out, does he like guys?", her blush was now long gone and her smile was now fake. "Uhm yea, he does, likes guys that is. Do you want me to talk to him for you?" she asked, feeling a little uncomfortable, she wanted to lie but she could and would never do that to Lin.

"Oh my God, yes, thank you so much!" he exclaimed, he looked genuinely happy for the first time. She felt a buzz, a text, she took her phone out and saw that Lin sent her a text.

Linny🥰: hey you ok?
Linny🥰: why the long face?

Pipsi🥤: Uhm yea

Linny🥰: don't lie to me

Pipsi🥤: I'm not, don't worry
Pipsi🥤: but I have something to tell you...

Linny🥰: go ahead

Pipsi🥤: after work

Linny🥰: ok... Ttyl

She slid her phone back into her pocket and continued to work.

After her shift was done she changed, grabbed her stuff, and then walked to the table where Lin was sitting. She sat with down with a frown on her face, she looked stressed. He closed his laptop and then reached out to hold her hand so she could calm down.

She looked up at him and then changed her mood to talk to him about Groff, "One of my coworkers likes you" she put on a large smile for this. "Really? Who?" he asked, confused and surprised that someone liked him.

"That guy over there, his name's Jonathan Groff, he really seems to like you" Lin looked over and saw Groff asking for the order. Lin thought he looked really cute, with his blue eyes and honey-colored hair.

Pippa saw the look on Lin's face, with that look she knew that Lin liked him back. "So can I set you two up?" she asked with a smirk, Lin blushed and then nodded "I wouldn't mind..." he trailed off.

She smiled and looked accomplished, but on the inside, she was hurting. Is she the Angelica here, she always helps him with a bunch of the songs so she's learned a lot about the characters. She was giving up the guy she was in love with for someone else, she's definitely Angelica.

The next day Jonathan and Lin had a date, courtesy of Pippa. They were both dressed to impress, Lin in his dark jeans and a button-up, and Jon in something similar.

They both had a good dinner and we're now walking hand in hand in Central Park, they were both blushing. Lin then walked Jonathan home, so when they reached his door, Lin looked at him with admiration and said "Jon, I really like you" Groff blushed and said,"I really like you too, Lin". They were both in a beautiful moment and leaned in, sweetly locking lips, they both could taste each others dinner (not in the disgusting way) as their tongues started dancing together.

Lin slowly pulled away and rested his forehead on Jons, they slowly opened their eyes and gazed into each others eyes. The moment was sweet.

Lin walked home with the largest grin on his face, when he walked in he saw Pippa munching on some chips. He closed the door, leaned his back on it, and sighed dreamily, "What's up with you?" she asked.

"We kissed, it was amazing, he had such soft lips.." Pippa kept a smile up for him, even though she was dying on the inside. But Lin caught the look "What's wrong Pip?" she shook her head and said "I'm fine, I'm happy for you", but she couldn't stop the tears that formed in her eyes.

"Pip..." he called out sympathetically, walked over, and pulled her into a hug as she sobbed, she couldn't hold it in anymore. He took her to the couch and he just stayed there embracing her as she cried, he was in no rush to leave her.

As she slowly stopped he went to the kitchen to make them some tea. When he came back she thanked him for the tea, and they snuggled up. "Pip what's wrong?" he asked finally, "I'm fine" he gave her the look, and she sighed "Fine... I'll tell you...

"...... And that's why I cried" she told him everything, she took a sip of her tea and laid back waiting for his reaction.

"I'm sorry I didn't know auditioning was going this bad... But in my musical you're definitely Eliza, no need for auditions" he said, she smiled and and looked at him thankful.

She lied, of course she lied, she wasn't gonna put Lin in that position, this was the first time she's seen him like this, he's never looked at someone the way he looks at Groff, not even at her.

She's here for Lin, she always will be, at least now she knows what Angelica Schuyler feels like...

A/n: Hey! It's been a long time... I hope you guys liked this, it was really good in my head so I hope it's just as good to y'all.

I'm putting up a chapter tomorrow as well, so be ready for that.

Anyway I don't have much to say, but please don't expect constant updates from me, I have homework and now exams too. So please don't send me messages to update cause I'm definitely not abandoning my books.
