Trigger warning!!! It' not much but still...

Jasmine, Anthony, and Emmy worked in the same company, they are really close to one another. Emmy gets abused by her boyfriend Ethan Mellow, she told Jazzy about it but told her it was only a 'phase'.

Jazzy's POV
Anthony and I went home after a long day of work. "Babe what movie do you wanna watch?"Ant asked, while I changed out of the formal attire I was in. "How about 'Mary Poppins Returns?" I asked, he got the movie ready and I then waited as he went to change.

Once we were ready to relax and watch the movie somebody rang the bell. I sighed and tried to get up, keyword 'tried', Ant pulled me back on the couch and started the movie. But then we heard a knock again, I sighed once more "Ant just go open the door" I said. He sighed but obeyed my orders.

When he opened the door I heard a familiar voice, I then heard Ant ask excitedly  "Daveed it's been a while, what 2 months?". I then ran to the door and screamed his name while I jumped to hug him "JAZZY" he screamed back as he chuckled. 

"Dave what brings ya here?" I asked with a smile as we let him inside. "Well I was free and I hadn't seen you guys in a while, so I came by, I hope you don't mind," he said with a slight smile.

"Of course we don't" Ant said as he patted Daveed's shoulder.

We sat on the couch, as Daveed asked "So how are you guys doing? It's been a year now right?". "yep, best year ever" we said weirdly synchronized, Daveed chuckled at that and said " God, I hate being single"

I frowned when he said that "what happened to Jalene?" Ant asked, and I saw his eyes tear up. "Sh...she cheated on me," he said slowly, he quickly wiped the tear before they fell and then said "but it's fine, I'm over her, our 4-year relationship just meant nothing that's it. I'm sorry I'm rambling uhm.....yea"

I looked at Ant and then looked back at Dave and said "I honestly always hated her, she treated you like nothing when you were treating her like a princess, it's just not fair"

And then Anthony finally contributed to the conversation to say "Yea man, she was a bitch forget about her" this seemed to get Daveed to laugh. Then I asked him a question might be the wrong time but it was important for me to know.

"When did you break up with her?" and he replied saying "2 weeks, and I'm honestly fine it just kinda struck a bad memory that's it." I smiled while Ant said "Well that's great".

We continued talking for maybe ten minutes, but was then interrupted with a phone call from Emmy.
"Hey Em, what's up?" I said as I answered the call.

I heard sniffling so I got concerned and asked "What's wrong?" she stuttered as she whispered through the phone "J.....Jaz....he went too far, I...I'm scared out of my m.....mind, pl..please c....call the police"

I quickly responded with "Em, don't worry I'll come and get you, please get away from him, ok?". I then heard a man's voice, couldn't make out what he said but I knew it was Ethan, so she whispered back quickly "ok, I got to go".

I told Anthony about what happened and we were already on our way to her house. I directed him to Emmy's house as I called the police. "Hello? My name is Jasmine and my friend is getting abused and we need your help", the operator quickly responded "physically or mentally?".

"DOES IT MATTER?!?!?!?" I stated, "Alright, please tell me the address" the operator said, and I told the location immediately. She told me to hold tight and wait, it would roughly be 10 minutes.

Once the call was over Anthony had parked the car. We both walked to the window to see Ethan ripping Emmy's clothes off as she was cornered. I squeezed Anthony's hand as he whispered "Its gonna be ok Jazzy".

Soon we heard the sirens, both of us ducked as Ethan looked in our direction. I sneaked a peek and saw him stuff her in a closet. 'Oh hell nah' I thought to myself.

The police knocked on the door and Ethan opened it, they asked "Is there any Emmy over here?", Ethan replied with an "Oh no, I think you got the wrong house".

I'm going to ruin this guy, I stood up and went to him and said "He's lying she's in the closest, we saw him push her in there".

Ethan glared at me, a lady officer then walked into the house and opened the closet door I pointed to, and pulled out a half-naked Emmy. Tears surfaced my eyes as I saw her.

I took her into my arms and asked her "Do you wanna get something or just go home" she picked the latter so we left that horrible place as soon as possible.

Ant let me sit in the back so I could comfort Emmy.
The poor thing was sobbing in my arms, and all I could do was gently whisper 'shhhh' in her ears.

Once we reached back home, we walked to the door while Ant quickly unlocked the door.

When we walked in we saw Daveed standing near the kitchen counter with 4 cups of cocoa. "I figured you would bring her back, so I made some" he said with a gentle smile.

Emmy took the mug in her hand and said "Th.....Thank you, m...my name is Em...Emmy".

He slightly chuckled and said "I assumed, I'm Daveed, hopefully Ant's best friend"

"Pleasure to meet you, Daveed" she said with a genuine smile as she sipped her cocoa. Wait, what the actual fuck Daveed is the first one to make her smile after the 'incident'.

"The pleasure is all mine" he replied with a toothy grin. "Well Emmy, do you need anything," I asked,"Like do you wanna take a shower or just a change of clothes...".

"Uhm....could I do both?" she hesitantly asked, "Of course you can, here let me help you" I said as I guided her to the bathroom in my room.

"Alright, there are towels over there and here are some clothes" I said as I handed her some sweatpants and a sweater. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "Th....Thank you so m...much, I really appreciate th....this".

I smiled "I'm so glad you called me, and that you're finally letting me help you" she slightly chuckled and walked into the bathroom.

I walked to the living room and sat next to Anthony. For about 5 minutes Anthony and I were talking but Daveed seemed unusually quiet. "Hey Daveed, you good?, you didn't say a word after she went inside" Anthony asked after observing the same thing.

"Jazz your friend...." I got confused and asked "Yea? What about her?" while I raised an eyebrow. "She's fuckin gorgeous" I couldn't help but smirk at him.

"Awwww does little Davey have a cruuuussshhhh?" Anthony cooed, I laughed cause I saw that his cheeks we're now dusted with pink as he smacked Ant's shoulder. "I think he does" I said in between laughs.

"You guys suck" said Daveed, "But Daaavvvee, you know I only suck-" I was cut off by Daveed "Jesus Christ, Jaz you're such a hoe it hurts". To which Ant replied with "Daveed stop stating the obvious".

We continued making fun of each other until Emmy came out of my room wearing the clothes I let her borrow with her hair still wet.

I saw Daveed's face heat up and I let out a wolf whistle after which I said "Daaaaamn girl, you looking fine as hell". Emmy blushed and said,"Oh stop it."

"What? I'm just vocalizing what Da-"  I was rudely interrupted with Daveed slightly smacking my arm, knowing what I was gonna say.

"Emmy do you want anything to eat?" Daveed asked, I just turned to Ant and to my surprise we were both smirking getting the exact same idea in our heads.

"You guys are nasty" Emmy said with a small chuckle, "But no, I'm good" she replied to his question. Daveed nodded and made space for her to sit, forcing me to sit on Ant's lap, and let's be honest I don't freakin mind.

Emmy sat down and we decided to continue the movie. About a quarter of the way into the movie, I stole a peek at them to see Daveed's arm around her while she laid her head on his shoulder. When I looked at Daveed's face it was deep red this only made me smirk.

We made eye contact and I mouthed 'Get a room' this made his blush deepen. 'I think you and Ant should' he mouthed back noticing Ants hands that were moving around a lot .

Around the halfway mark I saw that Emmy's hand had found itself around Dave's torso. I turned to Ant and told him to stop groping me for one minute. He smirked and said,"you liked it tho".  "Oh shut it" I replied after which I kissed his cheek and snuggled onto his chest to watch the rest of the movie.

When the movie was over, I noticed both Daveed and Emmy staring at Anthony and I. "You guys should've gone inside..." Emmy trailed off, "We saw you guys get....intense.." Daveed continued grinning.

"Oh, by the way, guys I don't have a place to stay, can I stay here?" Daveed asked. "Oh me too, cause yea..." Emmy said.

"Of course, Em we both can share my bed, Daveed and Ant can stay in the guest bedroom." I said smiling. We all agreed and walked to the respective bedrooms.

Same POV

It's been 2 days since Emmy came home from the horrifying monster that is Ethan. We decided that she would stay at our place for some time, till she gets back on her feet.

Today, Anthony and I decided to go to a friend's place to catch up, we got in the car and drove (kinda lazy to write it properly).

Once we reached the placed we parked in the lot and as we were about to get out of the car I got a call....
Daveed? I answered the call to hear Daveed breathing heavily.

"Dave? What's wrong" I asked getting a little concerned and he replied with "Nothing is wrong, but I came by your house today and saw that you guys were not there but Emmy told me that we could watch a movie, so obviously I said yes"

"So... Why exactly did you call me?" I asked chuckling knowing that he liked her. "Well, she fell asleep on my shoulder and I don't know what to do and she looks so freakin pretty and gorgeous and beautiful and adorable and hot and I don't know what to do, please help me," he said.

This made me laugh loudly "Dave I'm pretty sure that after Ethan she became a light sleeper" it's like he stopped breathing and then questioned "so you're saying she might have heard what I just said?"

"Well yeah......" and then I heard Emmy speak,"I think you're adorable and hot too..." I could practically see Daveed turn beet red. And then I heard him distantly say "ok ill talk to ya later".

And just before the line got cut I heard the starting of what I consider a kiss. I chuckled to myself and told everything to Anthony as we walked up to my friend's apartment.
