"I am home" I yelled as I closed the door behind me. I placed the key on the key holder.

" In the kitchen" meehika yelled back. Remember Meehika? She was my roommate back in manchester. We were sharing an apartment together now. I moved out of my parent's house as soon as I got the job. I went to my bedroom. I threw my bag on the bed and went to the bath room to freshen up and change my dress. After freshening up, I went to the kitchen.

" What are you making?" I asked her.

" Samosa" she said excitedly.

" Yay!!!" I took one samosa from the plate and took a bite, trust me I just tasted samosa heaven.

" These are so good" she have me her famous cheshire cat grin.

" Thank you!" My eyes fell on a bowl of popcorn.

" Are these for the movie marathon?" I asked pointing the bowl. She nodded.

" Done! You take the popcorn and samosa, I'll bring the chips and soft drinks."

"Okay" I grabbed the popcorn and samosas and went to the living room. You can never know how much meehika eats until you see her eat.

" Sprite or Coke?" She yelled.

" You know sprite makes me hyper" I said while chugging some popcorn into my mouth and looking at the movies collection.

" Oh yeah....and stop eating the popcorn before the movie starts!" She yelled the last part.

" Ok ok no need to be cranky" I said , while eating some popcorns secretly.

" Okay which movies did you select?"she sat down next to me.

"Sharukh special"

"Awesome" Sharukh special means all our favourite with sharukh in it.

" Let's start with chennai express?" She nodded and put DVD in the DVD player. The movie started.

" Why sharukh? Why? Did you have to be soo hot and old for me?" I said, with a dreamy look on my face. Meehika snickered.

" Deepika looks so hot in that south indian attire" She said.

" Hmm" I nodded.

" You bangalis have the same to same attire right?" She turned to me.

" No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"No"

"Yes!"

" Ha!"

" You wicked witch!" I accused her, pointing my index finger at her.

We went back to watching the film.

" No I don't wanna see dilwaale dulhanya le jayenge anymore!" I yelped.

" C'mon yaar it's legend" I love ddlj but you know na, too much sweet makes it bitter, that's what happened to me.

" uhh ok" I gave up.

" You are too gullible" I glared at her.

I dozed off during when sharukh was flirting with Kajol in the train.Awe I love the jodi.

I felt something hard making contact with my face. I know, once again I have fell on my face. Hey ma durga, when will I stop it? I got up and streched my arm. I looked at the wall clock, oh my god it's already 7 pm, I should probably get ready! Wait I am not going right? Maybe I should go...no, why should I? But he said he'll be waiting. He's just faking, he won't wait. But what if he does wait.... ahhh parineeti Chakrobarty stop having those mental arguements again!

" What happened? You look troubled" asked Meehika. I let out a sigh.

" remember I told you about a boy, varun?" She nodded.

" Yeah, what about him?"

" Today I met him again"

" Oh my god! How many times do you guys meet accidently?" I shrugged.

" ok continue" she added.

"So he asked me to have dinner with him, should I go or not? "

" Omg! He asked you on a date!" She exlaimed. I face-palmed myself.

" He himself said and I quote 'just as a friend' "

" Oh"

" So should I go or not?"

" You should go"

"Really? "

"Yeah , now go get ready fast" she shooed me. I went to my bedroom and changed into a brown formal kind of dress ( pari's dress on top). I grabbed my purse and walked outside.

" Woah girl, are you planning to break the poor guys jaw?"

" No, why?"

" Cause when his jaw will fall, it'll definitely break" she winked at me and I laughed at her.

"Ok now go, or else you'll get late"

"Bye" I hugged her and left.

" Bye"

Damn this traffic. I was really late because of the traffic. What if he left? God I don't wanna be embarassed infront of all these people. I went to the receiption. I gulped the lump in my throat and asked.

" Can you tell me where is mr. Singhania?" The recieptionist looked at the computer, then looked up.

" He is there, ma'am" she pointed at the nearby table. Thank godhe didn't left.

" Thank you" I went to the table.

"Ahem" I cleared my throat. He looked up and smiled widely at me. His smile is really contagious cause I started smiling too.

" you are 1 hour late" he wiggled his eyebrow.

" Be glad that I came"

" Yes of course , please take a seat m'lady" he pulled the chair for me.

" Oh ho from when did you became a gentleman?"

" Since my mother gave birth to a legend" he smirked to himself.

" Oh so you have a sibling?"

" I was talking about me" he said with a blank face.

"Really?" I asked playfully.

"Really" he mimicked me.

Varun's pov_

" Thank you so much for the dinner, I had an amazing time." She smiled at me.

"Oh please no need to be formal with me, we are not not in office now and we almost know each other 4 years."

"4 years? We know eachother barely a week maybe" she said while laughing. I scratched the back of my head.

" Yeah same same"

" So let's go on a walk?" I asked nervously. I wanted to spent time with he as much as possible.

" Now? We just had dinner"

" Yeah and walk after dinner is healthy."

"Who says?"

We were walking on the road. It was really peaceful.

" I say, now lets go or else you would get fat like the last time I saw you."

"Oh please I wasn't fat, I was just little a healthy. " she said.

" yeah punjabi healthy" I scoffed. She gasped and hit my arm.

" Geez woman say no to violence" I said while rubbing my arm.

" That's what you get after calling a girl fat"

We were walking in silence. It wasn't awkward. We were just just enjoying the silence. But I was enjoying the beautiful sight of her beautiful face.

" Girl, do you still think of me as a friend? " I whispered. She turned to me.

" Sorry? Did you say something to me?"

"Yeah I said you have sexy legs" I lied.

" Chee pervert get your mind out of the gutter!" I chuckled at her.

We reached the parking area.

" So that's it, bye"

"Se you soon" and once again I saw her leave.
