Hii Friends

I have come up with a new chapter.
So friends, before starting the new chapter, I want to clear something... Friends, the next few chapters are the story of their past. Past's story begins with Naina's first day of college when Naina meet Sameer for the first time. I have written Sameer and Naina's first meeting in the previous chapter.
So this chapter given a brief description of the part that I gave in the previous chapter.

7 JUNE 1997 AHMEDABAD

The morning of 7th June in Ahmedabad was the same as the rest of the day. It was seven o'clock in the morning, and people were starting their day with different activities. Someone was reading the newspaper, many women were going to the temple and many were engaged in household chores. But apart from all this, two girls in a house of Nirmal Jyoti Society were sleeping in their rooms without any tension. There was a lovely smile on their lips, this smile was a sign of their beautiful dream. The house they were sleeping in was that of Anand Agarwal.

The sun's rays coming through the window were disturbing their sleep, when a girl covered her face with a sheet and her beautiful face appeared for a moment. Then a woman entered the room and began to wake them up, taking her name loudly.

Lady - bhagwan jhuth na bulaye..ye dekho dono abhi tak so rahi hain, aaj college ka pahla din hai lekin kisi ko fikar hi nahi...Naina Preeti jaldi utha jao... college nahi jana...aur bhabhiji aate hi shuru ho jayengi....o bai Bela... ye sikhaogi tum ladkiyo ko...der tak sona... Nainaa...Preetii...jaldi utho.

Hearing Bela's voice, Naina woke up and
straightened her body while rubbing her eyes and looked at Bela and asked her innocently.

Naina - kya hua chachiji itni subah koi kam tha... bataiye mai kar dungi...

Bela - mujhe koi kam nahi hai...aur itni subah nahi beta...subah ke 7 baj rahe hai...jaldi se uth jao nahi to bhabhiji ko to tum dono janti ho, shuru ho jayegi...aaj tumhare college ka pahla din bhi hai...iss aalsi ko bhi utha de...pata nahi sasural me kaise karegi...Indicating to preeti.

Naina - chachiji mai to bhul hi gai thi...Preeti utha jaldi nahi to college ke liye late ho jayenge... tera to second year hai par mera to first day hai... Please utha na...

Bela - Naina beta jaldi se ready hoke aa jao mai nasta bana rahi hu...der mat karna.

Naina - ji chachi ji...hum abhi aate hai.

Bella walked out of the room and Naina made a lot of effort to wake preeti and finally she woke up.

Preeti - kya hai...subah se mammy chilla ke disturb kar rahi thi...ab tu bhi shuru ho gyi... She chided Naina and made her face grumpy.

Naina - sorry...par dekh na kitni der ho gayi hai..aaj college me mera first hai to late nahi hona chahati...said with soft tone.

Preeti - Naina ab aise udas mat ho...tu to janti hai koi aise meri need kharaab karta hai to mai gussa ho jati hu...ja tu fresh ho tab tak mai thoda so leti hu...She chuckled her.

Naina - Preetiii....
Preeti - mai mazak kar rahi thi...utha rahi hu...

After getting ready both of them came in dining hall and they sat on dining chair. Aanand come in the hall and sat next to Naina.

Naina - Good Morning chachaji...

Aanand - Good Morning beta...aaj first day hai college ka...bas aise hi aage badhati raho...par mai tum se naraz hu...He said with seriously.

Naina - kyo chachaji mujhse koi galti ho gayi.

Preeti - ha papa batao na... Naina ne kya kiya...

Aanand - galti nahi hui hai beta...tumne achche college me padhne se mana kar diya isliye naraj hu...State top kiya hai tumne beta...kisi bhi achchhe institute me aasani se admission ho jata... and look at her fake anger.

Naina - mai aap logo ko chhod kar nahi jana chahati chachaji. Yaha bhi achchhe college hai...padhai to yaha bhi vaise hi hogi...to phir aap logon se dur kyu jana...hai na Preeti.

Preeti - galat...kitna achchha chance tha... ek alag duniya dekhane ka bina rok tok ke kahi bhi aa ja sakti thi...lekin nahi tune mana kar diya aur iss baat pe mai papa ke sath hu...kash mujhe ye chance mila hota, mai to kabhi mana nahi karti...and she started dreaming.

Naina - Preeti ab tu bhi shuru mat hona...kitne mushkil se chachaji mane hai...and she look at Aanand who sat with fake angry face.

Listening of preeti talks, bela come to the hall from kitchen.

Bela - bhagwan jhuth na bulaye...beta aise shekh chilli ke jaise sapne dekhane se ye sab sapne pure nahi hote...uske liye padhana padhta hai, jo tu karti nahi hai...she said with scolding.

Preeti - kya mammy...kabhi to khush ho jane diya karo...

Naina and Aanand sees Preeti antics and laughs her condition and Naina teasing her more. Just then taiji enter with her usual voice, and sat on the swing.

Taiji - o baii...Bela jara elaichi wali chai to pila de, sar subah se phata ja raha hai...Naina aur Preeti ki taraf dekhate huye...aur tum dono kya khi khi kar rahi ho...itni saj dhaj ke kaha chali dono..

Naina - taiji wo.. wo..She hesitate.

But Aanand cut her between and said.

Aanand - bhabhiji aaj Naina ka college me pahla din hai...bas usi ki baatein ho rahi thi...hamari Naina ne top kiya hai to use scholarship bhi mil rahi hai...He said very proudly and looked at naina with love.

Taiji - Aanand babu aap inn ladkiyo ko chhut de kar galti kar rahe hai...dekh lena ek din naam na kataye to kahna...aap inhe pankh phaila kar udne ki aajadi de rahe hai na..kahi aisa na ho ki ye aasmaan me udte-udte apni jameen hi bhool jaye...said with sarcastically.

Aanand - bhabhi ji hamari betiyan aisa kuch bhi nahi karengi...Inhe apni maryada pata hai...aur mujhe in par pura vishvas hai. He said with trusted.

Bela - bhabhiji Preeti ke papa sahi kah rahe hai. Hamari Naina to bahut honhar hai. Rahi baat hamari betiyon ke bigadne ki to, unme hamare sanskar hai jo unhe kabhi bhi galat raste pe jane nahi denge...aur ye kabhi bhi aisa kam nahi karengi jisse hame sharmindagi ho. Hame apne bachhon par vishwas rakhna chahiye bhabhiji...inn sab baaton me mai bhul hi gayi...mai aap ke liye chai le ke aati hun...she caress both head with affection and goes to kitchen.

Taiji - tum dono hi rakho inn par bharosha, khas kar iss Naina par to mujhe ratti bhar bhi bharosha nahi...and she glared to Naina.

After more arguments, the atmosphere becomes serious. Everybody was tensed. Hearing Taiji's taunts for Naina, everyone's mind was not ready to have breakfast.
Bela come to the hall with a cup of tea and gives it to Taiji.

Taiji- rahne de Bela ye chai...abhi jo baatein suni na usse maan bhar gaya, karo apni manmani, jab kuch galat ho jaye to phir mat aana hamare paas...She said very rude tone and see Naina to hateful eyes.

Bela - bhabhi ji kaisi baatein kar rahi hai... dekhiyega hamari Naina bahut aage jayengi... aur hum sab ka maan badayegi...aap ye chai lijiye...and she gives to her tea but she denied.

Taiji - ha... ab ye kitna aage jayengi yahi dekhna bacha hai... tum sab hi iski khushiyon me shamil ho mujhe iska hissa nahi banna...and looked to Naina unpleasantly.

She gone to her home with murmuring. Naina's eye brimming in tears. Aanand caress Naina head and said.

Aanand - beta bhabhiji ki baaton ko dil se mat lagana, unki to aadat hai...ab jaldi se ye aansu pochho...tum to meri sabse bahadur beti ho...chalo jaldi se breakfast karke college jao.

Naina - ha chachaji...Preeti jaldi kar hame Swati ke ghar bhi jana...phir vaha se ek sath college jayenge...and she wiped her tears.

Bela - Preeti beta...tu na Naina aur Swati ko pura college achchhe se dikha dena...jisse unhe pareshani na ho...aur tu...

But Preeti cut her between and said.

Preeti - mammy mujhe pata hai...mai Naina ka achchhe se dhyan rakhungi...use pura college bata dungi...hum saath me aayenge aur jayenge... kisi anjaan se baat nahi karenge... kisi ko bina jane usse dosti nahi karenge.... bas ya bhir aur kuch bacha hai.

Bela - meri kallo to badi hoshiyar hai...to ye sab baatein tu aur Naina achchhe se ganth bandh lena...

With a lot of fun and banter, everyone eats their breakfast and finally they leave for college. Both go to Swathi's house before college, where Swati was not ready and was engaged in makeup. She was taking a lot of time to be ready, seeing which Naina was annoyed at her. After lot of Naina's requesting, Swati become ready and then all three go to college.

They reach college before the first period bell rings. But as soon as they enter the college, the first period of the bell is heard by them, so they rush to their classroom. But Naina stopped them and said to Preeti.

Naina - Preeti tu apni class me ja , hum dono hamari class dundh lenge...tujhe late ho jayega...bas tu hame direction bata de hum chale jayenge...kyo Swati..

Swati - ha Naina thik kah rahi hai...tu ja Preeti.

Preeti - lekin tumhe class nahi mili to. Mai second lecture attand kar lungi.

Naina - tu hamare liye kyo apna class miss karegi tu ja...

After Preeti leaves, they go the direction suggested by Preeti. But they did not find class, and running in corridors here and there. Naina become sad and tensed. She scolding Swati for her makeup but Swati calming her. They saw two boys and thought asking them. But before they ask the boys anything, those boys were ready to take their ragging. The boys pressurized both of them to complete ragging. They look around for help but the whole corridor was empty and they stood quietly in fear.

After a while, two other boys come towards that corridor and see the whole scene from a distance. These boys were Sameer and Munna, who were going from there for some work.

Munna - yaar sameer dekh to vaha kya ho raha hai...mujhe to kuch gadbad lag raha hai...chal vaha ja ke dekhate hai.

Sameer - mujhe bhi aisa hi lag raha hai...

Sameer and Munna come to them and stand behind the boys. Sameer asking the boys what's happening, listening sameer's voice they turn back and look at sameer and their face become pale with fear. Sameer asked again in loud voice but the boys did not give any correct answer. So he asked Naina and Swati and then he came to know that those boys were taking raggin of these two girls. He decided take them to the Principal's office so could punish them. But the boy requesting to Sameer and he warned them.

Sameer - tum dono ka saal barbaad na ho isliye aaj complain nahi kar raha... par ye last chance hai, phir kabhi maine tum dono ko ragging lete dekha, to tumhe is college se rusticate hone se koi nahi bach sakta...ye baat hamesha yaad rakhana.

After the boys leave, Sameer and Naina saw each other and both get lost in each other's eyes. After some time they coming to their senses and he saw her beautiful face and her black deep eyes. He felt that her eyes were pulling him towards her, so he did not want to remove his eyes from her face. Naina wore a peach color top and blue long skirt. Her dress was very simple not modern like other girls, but she looked very beautiful in that simple dress. Sameer was mesmerized by her simplicity and innocence. Naina was also attracted to his handsome look and charming face and she was also feeling same for Sameer.

Sameer did not want anyone to know his feelings towards Naina. So he changes the topic to divert attention from Naina.

Sameer - kabhi koi bhi aise pareshan kare to hame bata sakti hain. Vaise aap dono ki class kon si hai.

Naina - thank you sir...aur hamari class B Sc. 1st year hai...She said very polite and he again lost in her soft voice but control his heart.

Sameer - thank you ki jaroorat nahi hai, phir kabhi koi battameezi kare to bina dare kisi bhi teachers se complaint kar sakte hai...but aaj aap dono galat jagah par aa gayi hai. College ka ye area hamesha sunsaan rahata hai, isliye koi jyada yanha nahi aata hai.

Naina - hum to bas apni class khojate huye yanha aa gaye... Preeti ne to isi direction me bataya tha...said with fearful voice.

Sameer - shayad unhone right kaha hoga ...aur aap dono left me aa gayi hai...koi baat nahi...par aage se dhyan rakhiyega... He said with concern.

Swati - are ha... Preeti ne right kaha tha par jaldi me hum sun nahi paye...Thank you sir.

Sameer - ab aap long apni class me jaiye.

And he tells them the way to their classroom.

Munna was looking at Naina with great attention. Seeing this, Sameer asks him where he is lost. Then after some time
Munna asks Naina, are you not the same? Who has topped the state this year in 12th and Naina answered yes. In further of this, Munna asks Naina something else, then a boy comes and tells Sameer that the Principal Sir is calling him. So Sameer and Munna left immediately for Principal's office

After going a few more steps on his way to the Principal's office, he once again turn back and looks at Naina and closes his eyes as capture her image in his mind.

After Sameer left, Swati praised his handsome look and she was also attracted to him and prayed to God that she could see him every day. But Naina did not listen to her blabbering and she was looking on the way where he had gone.

On his way Sameer again remembered on Naina and his lip curled in smile and he losting his own world.

Munna - yaar koi kaise itna talented ho sakta hai...uss ladki ne pure state me top kiya hai. uske parsent shayad 98 ke aas paas aaye hai...abhi exactly yaad nahi aa raha hai...mai to ye soch raha hu koi itni padai kaise kar sakta hai...are uska naam puchana to rah gaya yaar...and he look at Sameer whose face a lovely smile visibled.

Munna - Sameer ab tu kaha kho gaya hai...ha...bata kiske baare me soch raha hai...jo face pe itni badi smile hai... bata bata.... He chuckled.

Sameer - Munna tu bhi na...aisa kuch nahi hai...bas kuch yaad aa gaya tha...tu na jyada dimag na chalaya kar...aur chal jaldi.

Munna - ha ha chal raha hu...par ek baat hai yaar...pure state me top karne ke baad bhi iss college me admission kyo liya...use to bahut achchhe college me admission mil jata upar se scholarship milti wo alag...par usse hame kya.

Sameer - sahi kaha tune usse hamara kya lena dena...wo kaha padhe kaha nahi...

But Munna's words were roaming in his mind and told himself why she did not take admission in a reputed college like Delhi, Mumbai, why she is studying in this college even after the state top... But he didn't have the answer to any questions.

Naina did not respond after a long time, then swati shook her arm seeing her lost somewhere.

Swati - Naina tu kaha kho gayi, kab se tera naam le rahi thi... par tu sun hi nahi rahi thi. Ab late nahi ho rahi class ke liye...

Naina - ha to chal na...kisne roka hai...chal...

Swati - ye achchha hai...kho tu gai thi aur mujhe suna rahi hai...

Naina - ab jyada noutanki mat kar ...aaj ka din hi kharab gaya...ha ek baat aur Swati...tu ye baat Preeti ko nahi batayegi.

Swati - par kyo...

Naina - wo iss baat ko jan kar tension me aa jayegi...tu promise kar.

Swari - ha baba... nahi bataungi...par yaar wo jisne hame ragging se bachaya tha kitne handsome the, bilkul salman khan ki tarah...koi bhi ladki pahli najar me hi apna dil har baithe...Naina unhe dekh kar tujhe kuch feel nahi hua...mai to unhe dekhati hi rah gayi thi.

Naina - m..m..mai kyo... matlab mujhe kuch kyo hoga bhala...tu bhi na bilkul filmi hai aur ye sab na sirf filmo me hote hai.... tune shayad suna nahi wo iss college ke teacher hai...samajhi...She said with stuttering.

Swati - wahi to ... mai to bhagwan ji se pray kar rahi hu ki sir daily hame hi padhane aaye...jisse hum unhe daily dekh paye.

Naina - tu aur teri filmi baatein...chal ab...and dragging her to the class.

After some time both of them reached the class, but the class had started. So they take permission from the professor to attend class. The professor asks them the reason for late arrival, they gives the reason for not finding the classroom. Then the professor allows them to come in and when they ask for their introduction to both of them, they find out that Naina is the one who has topped the state in 12th and then introduce her to all the students.

After the first day, whole week passed smoothly without any problems. Sameer and Naina did not meet after that day. Today was Monday and the entire college was filled with students because all the admission process was completed.

Then an auto stopped at the main entrance of the college campus and three girls, who were Swati Preeti and Naina, descended from it. They enter the college campus and go towards the college building. As they were passing the parking lot a bike comes at full speed and stops in the parking lot. The eyes of the three girls go to the person sitting on that bike and their steps stop. Then they see Sameer, who was sitting on that bike, he wearing a goggles and his silky hair fluttering in the air. He looked very handsome.

Naina saw his look and her heart was throbbing. Swati also sees Sameer and was attracted to his handsome look

Swati - hayee kya look aur personality hai...yaar Naina ye to us din se aaj jyada handsome hai...and she lost in Sameer.

Sameer looks around and he saw that Naina was standing away from the parking lot. Sameer gaze fixed on Naina and said to himself "ye to aaj aur bhi beautiful lag rahi hai". Then Naina looks towards Sameer and their eyes meet and her heartbeat skip for a second.

After a few minutes a girl approaches Sameer and holds his hand. She wore a short top and short skirt, she looked very modern. She hugged Sameer and whispered something in his ear. They both laughed and she started pulling him off her bike. This whole scene happened in front of Naina. Seeing the scene, Naina was shaken from inside for a moment but she controlled her emotion.

Swati - Naina wo dekh na... wo ladki kaise uss teacher ke kaise gale lag gai hai...are wahi jisne hamari ragging hone se bachaya tha...and pointed towards her finger to Sameer.

Preeti gets shocked after hearing the words of ragging from Swati's mouth and Naina is also shocked to hear Swati's chatter and immediately looked at Preeti and received a glare from Preeti. Just then Swati realizes what she said and gave a apologetic look at Naina and Naina started looking around.

Preeti - Naina ye Swati kya kah rahi hai...kaisi ragging aur kisne bachaya...bol Naina...She said stern voice.

Naina - Preeti...wo...first day...and she narrated to the whole incident.

Preeti - Naina itni badi baat ho gai aur tune mujhe batana bhi jaroori nahi samajha...and look at Swati and said...aur Swati tune bhi nahi bataya.

Naina - sorry Preeti...tu pareshan ho jati isliye nahi bataya...and held her ear and made a cute face, and Preeti melted.

Preeti - ha..ha..chal ab thik hai...aage se kuch bhi ho to sabse pahle mujhe batayegi... promise kar.

Naina - pakka promise...

Swati - ab tum dono ka ho gaya ho to mujhe bhi yaad kar lo...mai bhi yahi hu...and looked them with fake anger.

Naina - aaja tu bhi meri madhuri dixit...And all three hug tightly.

Preeti - par wo teacher kon hai jisne tum dono ko bachaya...She said with curious.

Then Swati pointed to Sameer , he was standing with that girl and they were talking about something. Seeing Sameer, Preeti gave them the look of "kya karu mai tum dono ka".

Swati - aise kyo dekh rahi hai. Ye wahi teacher hai jinhone hame un ladko se bachaya tha...and looked at Preeti for answer.

Preeti - are tum dono ko kaise laga ki wo teacher hi hai...and lightly slap Swati and Naina forehead and said further.

Preeti - Wo koi teacher nahi, iss college me ek student hai. Uska naam Sameer maheshwari hai. Wo M. Sc. final year me hai. Iss college ka topper hai, aaj tak kisi ne uske jitne marks nahi laye hai. Har sal yahi college top karta hai...ek minute tum dono ko kaise laga ki wo ek teacher hai.

Both - wo jo ladke ragging lene wale the...wo dono unhe sir kah ke bula rahe the to hame laga koi teacher hai.

Preeti - Sameer iss college ka president hai aur sabse senior hai, to generally sab use sir hi bulate hai. College me sab uski bahut respect karte hai...Sameer college ka hero hai, sabhi ladkiya uss par marti hai...par wo kisi ki taraf dekhata bhi nahi....aur wo jo ladki uske side me khadi hai uski girlfriend hai...aisa college me sab kahte hai.

Naina hears his new information from Preeti and her heart sank. She now knew that he had a girlfriend and had no right to think of his this way. Once looked at him, who was still laughing while talking with that girl and she said to herself.

Naina (herself) - Naina tu bhi na kya soch rahi thi ki Sameer jaisa handsome ladka milega tujhe...are wo to tujh jaise ko dekhe bhi nahi...aur abhi Preeti ne bhi to kaha hero hai college ka, sabhi ladkiya marti hai...par kisi taraf nahi dekhata...phir mai kya hun...par use pahli baar dekhte hi uske liye ek feeling aa gayi thi...ab uske bare me sochna nahi hai...Then Preeti voice broken her trance.

Preeti - uska naam Sunaina hai. Wo bhi Sameer ke class me hi hai... aur to aur dono iss college me Mr. & Miss. Fresher rah chuke hai...She look at them.

Preeti - chale ab first period ki bell lagne wali hai.

Then the three go to their class and Naina turns back and once glanced at Sameer because her heart was not wanting to go away from him.

In parking lot Sameer and Sunaina they standing.
Sunaina - mai bahut khush hu Sameer, pata hai hum pure 2 month baad mil rahe hai.

Sameer (himself) - ye Sunaina bhi jab dekho tab pichhe pad jati hai. Iske chakkar me wo ladki bhi chali gayi use jee bhar ke dekh bhi nahi paya. College me bahut si ladkiya shuru-shuru me simple rahti hai, baad me modern ho jati hai, par mera maan kah raha hai ye un sab se different hai... ye ladki aaj aur bhi simple aur beautiful lag rahi thi. Kuch to baat hai usme jo mai uski taraf khicha chala ja raha hu...mai to naam bhi nahi janta...par aise kaise uska naam puchu agar bura maan gayi to...aur na hi kisi ko apni feeling bata sakta hu.

Sunaina - Sameer kaha kho gaye...

Sameer - kahi bhi to nahi...tum kuch kah rahi thi...and looks at her with small smile.

Sunaina - chalo class chalte hai...thodi der me class bhi shuru ho jayegi.

Sameer (himself) - ye Munna bhi na..aaj hi usko bahar jana tha...ab pura din iske saath rahna padega...ye mujhe chhodegi bhi nahi...Munna hota to kuch bhi bahana bana leta...par ab to wo bhi nahi ho payega...and looks up at the sky and prayed to God to save him.

Sameer and Sunaina enter the college and go to their class.
