Chapter 37
"Dekha aapne us Naina ko kaise par nikal aaye hai maharani ke... Sameer ke saath kaise nach rahi thi jaise sharm aur lajja bech khai ho... Agrawal khandan ka naam dubo diya, hamare khandan me aise sagai me ladka ladki dance nahi karte... aur jodo dusre biradari me rishtaa, pata nahi ye Naina aur Aanand babu kya kya din dikhayenge...Aap ne kyo mana nahi kiya inn sab ke liye" Taiji ranted to Naina as she had dance with Sameer. She cursed to Naina as soon as entered her house after returning to the engagement ceremony. She complained to her husband about it all.
When there was no reply from his side, she looked at him. And she frowned to see him lost somewhere. She shouted at him, that he came his senses.
"Chilla kyon rahi ho Bina... bahra nahi hun mai." Tauji scolded.
"Achha to maine jo kaha aapne suna." Taiji asked with a knowing smile.
"Kya kaha tumne?... achha wo sab chodo pata hai tumhe Bina aaj meri mulakat kitne bade longo se hui, agar ek baar unke yahan ka koi case mil jaye phir dekhana, kaise meri izzat samaz me bad jaayegi... mujhe to ab lagta hai Naina ka Sameer se rishtaa jodna bahut fayade ka hoga." Without listening to his wife, Tauji showed his thought for this alliance as it was the best opportunity for him to meet the successful businessman and he hoped he would work with them in the future.
"Vaise dono ki jodi bahut pyaari lag rahi thi... jab un dono ko stage par dekha." Tauji threw a bomb at her as praised them and did not object to their dance.
"Ek baar baat to suniye meri...Naina ka aise nachana sahi tha?." She questioned him in a low voice.
But tauji yawned instead of answering "Bina mai sone ja raha hun, bahut thakan ho rahi hai."
He left her confused in the drawing room. She sat here for a while and then walked into the room.

Preeti was lying with Naina in her room as she and Pandit were about to leave for Delhi the next morning.
"Naina ring to bahut pyari hai... ho bhi kyo nahi choice kiski hai... mere handsome jijaji ki... vaise unhone kyo bulaya tha terrace par, aur koi gift diya ki nahi." Preeti asked to her while taking in her hand in her hand.
Naina face turned red again thinking of the moment she had kissed him and Preeti noticed it.
"Kya baat hai...Naina tere gaal jijaji ke naam sunte hi red ho gaye, aisa kya kiya unhone jo tu sharm se lal ho gayi... mai to soch bhi nahi sakti thi ki Sameer itna romantic ho sakte hai, jis tarike se vah tujhe dekhate hai aur jaise dance kiya...I can't not believe he was the same Sameer Maheshwari whom I knew during college time." Preeti teased her first then surprised to see romantic side of Sameer.
Naina got up from the bed and showed a expensive wrist watch to Preeti. She was looked it with soft smile and turned to Naina "manna padega... jijaji ki choice wakai kabile tarif hai... pahle unhone meri pyari bahana ko pasand kiya... aur ab uski zindagi ko khushiyon se bharane me koi kasar nahi chod rahe hai."
"Chal ab so ja kal jaldi utna bhi hai, kyo itni jaldi jana hai... at least kuch din to rukte, aise lag raha hai abhi aai aur abhi chali gai." Naina showed fake annoyance at her for going only after one day stay. She took the watch from her hand, turned other side and look it. Preeti hugged her back while sleeping.
Naina stared at watch without blinking, it was beautiful and simple designed. There was a chain attached on either side of the dial and which was made of gold with platinum touch.
And Naina remembered the moment when Sameer had given a watch to her on the terrace.
She was shy to hear him talk about kissing. She tried to run away from there but she suddenly halted by his voice.
"Apna gift bhi nahi logi." Sameer asked in a deep voice.
Then he approached her and took her left hand, made her wear a watch and asked with smile "kaisa hai."
"Bahut pyara hai...." She beamed while touch the watch.
"Pata hai maine tumhe ye kyo diya... Ye tumhe hamesh yaad dilayegi ki tumhe mrs. Maheshwari banne me bas ab kuch hi dinon ka intezaar karna hai aur phir tum hamesha ke liye meri ho jaogi... ye tumhe hamesha mera tumhare paas hone ka ahsaas karayegi.... ye yaad dilayegi ki tum ab meri life ka ek atut hissa banne wali ho... aur hamara pyaar apni ek khubsurat manzil ki taraf bad raha hai... ek aisi manzil jiska mukam hum dono ka milan hai..." And he let out a deep breath then continued again. "Naina... tumhe mai bata nahi sakta mai kitni besabri se us din ka intezaar kar raha hun...Jab tum dulhan ke jode me mere... sorry sorry...hamare ghar me kadam rakhogi aur meri sune jeevan ko apne pyaar ke rango se bhar dogi." And he planted a soft kiss on her forehead and engulfed her in a tight embrace.
"Sameer mai bhi us din ka besabri se intezaar kar rahi hun...Jab mai hamesha ke liye apki ban jaaungi" She replied with hide her face in his chest.
*************
Sameer's parents, Rohan and Deepika left for Delhi the next evening but before boarding, Deepika insisted on meeting Naina for the last time. So they all went to Naina's house, before leaving for the airport. As Deepika took the promise from Naina that she will come to Delhi to meet her and ordered Sameer to bring her. He accepted her order with a wide smile.
Sameer had stayed in Ahmedabad. He had decided that till the wedding, one week he would stay in Ahmedabad and the other week in Delhi. So that he can spend time with her and helped her in shopping.
Sameer wanted his marriage to take place at his Nanaji house in Ahmedabad, he told his decision to Vishakha and she had accepted with great pleasure. As it was the wish of his Nanaji that whenever Naina becomes Sameer's bride, she to keep the first step in this house itself. His Nanaji had already accepted Naina as his daughter-in-law, while Sameer had not even proposed to her. So Sameer wanted to fulfill his Nanaji wish. And secondly, he had not yet decided where he would settle down after marriage. He had still not spoken to Naina about it.
As time had fled like the wind and two weeks passed and there was only one month left for the wedding. He had returned from Delhi last night and was eagerly desperate to meet Naina. He sat in the rolling chair in his cabin and was immersed in some thought. Then door was knocked on by someone. He sat straight in his chair before calling him in.
An employee had come to seek his approval for his half-day leave. Sameer raised his brows to see him and asked for the reason.
He hesitated at first and then replied shyly "sir... today I want to give a surprise to my wife... so for some arrangement I want leave."
"What a surprise...If you comfortable only then answer." Sameer was shocked at himself for asking this to him.
"Sir it's a dinner at a restaurant." The employee replied with a smile.
Sameer thought about his surprised then clicked something in his mind and asked "which restaurant is the best for such occasions."
"Sir... abhi recently ek new restaurant open hua hai, maybe uska invitation bhi aaya tha jab aap Delhi me the.... Invitation card yahi hoga." And he searched the card, when he found it, then give it to Sameer.
Sameer saw the card and ordered him to "You can go now and your half-day leave is sanctioned.
After reading the card and hearing about dinner, Sameer made a plan to meet Naina. But he doubted, whether her family would allow it, and another idea came to his mind. He almost jumped of his chair as if his plan had been successful.
He was impatient to meet her as he had lost a chance to meet her at the temple this morning. He was busy all day yesterday in Delhi due to hectic schedule and had caught a flight to Ahmedabad late in the evening. So he had returned to Ahmedabad late at night and woke up late morning because he had exhausted all day.
Once he completely reassured, his plan would definitely work. He dialed someone number and instructed him what he wanted.
In the evening, Sameer quickly wrapped up his work and left for home. He reached home earlier today than other days because of his impatience. He quickly freshened up and changed his clothes. He dressed himself a blue shirt with black pant. Before leaving the house, he informed Ramadhari, he did not make dinner for him as he planned it outside.
Half an hour later he halted his car in front of Naina's society. He practiced his plan once again before going her house. When he was little relax, he headed towards the house. He rang the bell with a thundering heart. As Aanand opened the door and pleased to see him. Sameer touched his feet with a nervous smile.
As soon as Sameer entered the house, just same time Naina had came out of her room to help Bela in the kitchen. She was shocked to see Sameer. Their eyes met as Sameer heard her soft voice and his eyes turned her side. Naina entered in the kitchen while kept looking at him. Naina helped Bela when she made a coffee for Sameer.
Meanwhile in the drawing room Sameer tried to proceed his plan. After settle down on the sofa, he started executing his plan.
"Wo chacha ji mai soch raha tha shaadi ki kuch shopping kar lete, suna hai ek naya mall khula hai vahan ja kar dekh lete.... aur mai..." He stopped in the mid as he became nervous that how he told about his wish to him and was rubbing his both palm.
"Aur kya Sameer..." Aanand confused of his sudden pause.
"Aur mai Naina ko dinner pe le jana chahata hun." He said everything in one breath and shut his eyes as expected if Aanand had refused his request.
At the same time Naina approached them holding a tray with two coffee mug. She froze in her place as she heard Sameer say to Aanand about dinner. She panicked if Aanand strictly refuses that Sameer would be disappointed. She was lost in her own thoughts.
"Nainaaa...." Aanand voice broke her thought and Sameer too turned his gaze to Aanand as he had not meet his eyes to him after announcing his dinner plan.
"Naina beta... jao jaldi ready ho ja na...Sameer tumhe dinner par le jana chahata hai, already 6 ho gaye hai, jaldi jaoge tabhi to time se vapas aaoge." Aanand ordered Naina which meant he was not objecting to it and Sameer eyes widened for easily accept his offer.
Sameer was overwhelmed but he kept his face normal "chacha ji mai to bas shopping hi karna chahata tha, phir maine socha ki jyada der ho jaayegi to dinner bhi kar lenge."
Aanand asked in a firm voice "tum mujhe buddhu samjhate ho." And Sameer face turned pale but Aanand instantly sneered "shopping to ek bahana tha...Irada to dinner pe jane ka hi tha... hai na."
Sameer gave him a shy sheepish smile and looked down as he made a mistake.
"Sameer isme jhijhakane wali baat nahi, shaadi se pahle yahi kuch din aur mauke hote hai ek dusre ko janne ka, samajhane ka... aur aaj tumhari kismat achhi hai kyunki bhabhiji apne kisi rishtedar ke yahan gayi hai nahi to tumhara dinner unke saath hota..." Anand laughed at him teasingly and made him feel comfortable.
"Aur nahi to kya, abhi bhabhiji hoti to O bai karte huye char baatein suna chuki hoti. Sameer beta Preeti ke papa thik kah rahe hai, shayad aaj bhagwan aapke saath hai." Bela had come to the drawing room and sat on the swing, when Naina had gone to her room to get ready. She supported her husband. Then all three laughed heartily remembering taiji's words.
Sameer took Aanand one hand in his hands "thank you chacha ji... apne mujh par bharosa kiya, mai kabhi aapka vishwas nahi tutne dunga... mai time se Naina ko vapas le aaunga."
Naina emerged out of her room after getting ready. She looked enthralled in a dark maroon kurti with a black salwar. She carried a net shimmery dupatta with it. She approached them and Bela showed her concern when they were about to leave.
"Beta time se vapas aa jana... aur jyada door mat jana." Bela said in a concern tone.
"Ji chachi ji." Sameer nodded.
"Bela inhe jane do...Sameer tum dono jao." Aanand ordered them.
As soon as they both left Aanand said in a firm voice "Bela tum bhi na, Sameer ko lagega tumhe us par vishwas nahi hai...Sameer samjhadar hai, wo Naina ka achhe se dhyaan rakhega, use sahi aur galat ki samajh hai... Sameer sach me bahut achha ladka hai, dekha hai na tumne, sab ko kitna aadar aur samman deta hai.... aur Naina ka bhi bahut khayal rakhata hai...Naina ke liye bilkul perfect hai."
"Aap sahi kah rahe hai... par kya karu ek maa ka dil hai, nahi mana..." Bela felt guilty but she had showed her motherly love towards Naina.
**********
Naina sat with Sameer on the passenger seat. As soon as he left her society, he turned the car towards the road leading out of the city. He drove fast as the road was empty. Twenty minutes later the car stopped near a famous Kankaria lake.
She was shocked and thought why he stayed here when they were both going shopping and she cleared her confusion by asking him. "Sameer hum to pahle shopping jane wale the na, to phir yahan kyo aaye hai."
"Chacha ji samajh gaye par tum... Kya tumhe sach me lagta hai mai tumhe shopping le jana wala tha... no way madam ye to tumhe dinner pe le jane ka ek bahana tha." He winked her while opening the door of his side.
Naina was still seated, as his effect on her was not over. She came out of her shock when he opened the door of her side door and called out her name. She out of the car with held his extended hand.
They both strolled near the lake, holding each other's hands. They sat on the edge of the lake with their feet dipped in the water. Naina rested her head on his chest, and Sameer gently pressed his palm over her arm. She could feel his warmth with closed eyes.
The lake was beautiful and there was a peace. This beautiful environment was giving a lot of pleasure to the people. Generally people used to come here for some moments of peace out of their busy lives. The water here had a greenish touch. Which was giving it a magical aura.
They cherished their beautiful moment with each other's arm, after couple of week.
Sameer started to think deeply about how his life had changed at every phase. He had never found a family and was always longing for a family. Earlier he had not spent his childhood like others. His schooling was done away from his family. Later he received some family love when he came back to his Nanaji house after 12th for his further studies. And finally he had got a real happiness from the core of his heart when he saw Naina in his last year of his college and had realized his love for her. But they both got separated due to some circumstances and their misfortune.
Now he was very happy because Naina was going to be a part of his life forever and now the dream of his own family was being fulfilled, which he had yarned since childhood. And ever since he got engaged, he was dreaming of his own family and bright future with Naina.
And on the other hand Naina was in a dilemma. She wanted to tell about their to Aanand but she wanted to get Sameer consent first.
"Sameer mujhe lagta hai ab chachaji ko sab sach bata dena chahiye ...mai to pahle hi batana chahati thi par aapne hi engagement tak rukne ko kaha, ab shaadi me bhi jyada time nahi hai...aur kitna talenge iss baat ko Sameer, kabhi to ye baat batani hi hai." Naina said nervously.
Hearing this Sameer got anxious, but he knew how important it was for her, how desperate she was to tell her chacha ji because he had stopped her twice, the first before the engagement and the second two days before. That day was given the reason that today did not seem to be the appropriate day to tell. Earlier he himself also wanted Naina to tell about them as there was no other option at that time but ever since their alliance had fixed he was scared whenever Naina raised this topic. He was afraid that her chacha ji might break their relationship after knowing about them. The fear had deeply sat in his heart and he had no longer the courage to lose her again.
"Jaisa tum chaho... Naina.." he accepted her decision with meek voice as did not want to show his reluctance and fear.
But Naina sensed his feared of his heart and turmoil of his mind. She tried to subside his feared with her consoling words and she parted away from his embrace.
She consoled with held his hand.
"Tum sahi kah rahi ho, kabhi to iss situation ka samna karna hi padega to phir abhi kyo nahi... iske baad hum bina kisi dar ke hamari wedding ke sare function enjoy karenge." Sameer comprehend her point of view and supported her.
"To phir mai aaj ya phir kal chacha ji ko sab bata dungi." She told him.
"Hmmm." He hummed only while looking far in the lake.
As she had decided, she would tell Anand everything as soon as she took permission from Sameer. And now that Sameer had been supporting her decision, a fear engulfed her heart. But she shrugged off her fear because now taking that step back meant everything go mess up. She closed her eyes and leaned over her chest again, which was her home. She felt that his protective arm engulfed her in the safe place.
However Sameer did not decide whether it was right or wrong to tell Anand about them. His mind was swirling around in these two decisions but today he allowed Naina. As her sad and worried face could not be seen by him.
And Sameer eyes caught a beautiful view in the lake and pointed with a finger to show it to Naina. She too admired seeing it. It was a pair of the ducks in the lake, swimming together. Their eyes did not leave both the ducks. They looked like a couple who were lost in each other.
Suddenly Sameer's mind struck a thought, he made a distance between them. He looked at her keenly. He clasped her both palm with his hands. He gazed into her deep eyes.
"Naina tum hamari wedding ke baad kahan rahna prefer karogi...I mean Delhi ya phir yahi Ahmadabad me." He asked while playing her bangle.
Naina thought, after a long wait he had got his family, so how could she take him away from his family. However, she did not want to leave Ahmedabad, where she grew up and spent her childhood. She had faced every happy and sad moment in this city. But she did not want to look just for her own happiness. Now her happiness was related to Sameer and she did not want to be the reason for separating him from his family.
"Jahan aap ki khushi hogi vahan... Sameer." She replied.
Sameer looked at her serene face and he tried to read her answer, whether it was real or just she had told to keep his heart and to please him.
"Aise kya dekh rahe hai... mai sach me aapke saath kahi bhi rah sakti hun... mujhe bas aapka saath chahiye. Aur mai aapko apki family se dur nahi karna chahati... kitni mushkilon se ye family aapko mili hai mai use aapse nahi chinna chahati balki uska hissa banna chahati hun....Sameer naya rishta judne ka matlab ye thode hai ki hum apna purana rishta bhul jaye...jo hamare life ke ek atut hissa hain." She explained to him the value of a family and expressed her desire that she want to be a part of his family.
Sameer again fell on her pure and innocent heart. His eyes could not move away from her alluring face. He adored her and wondered, how she understood his heart without saying anything. How she understood his unsaid words.
He was always carving for a family and love for his parents and siblings from his childhood. And he found all this when his Nanu left him alone in the world. He was shattered that time as he lose his life Nanu and his love, Naina. He had given up his will to live, every hope of his life had died. But his mother and siblings took his out of the shock and encourage him to move on in life. His family supported in every sorrow he had suffered and brought him out of the darkness. Now he could not even think of leaving them, they supported him every tought phase of his life while ignored his anger and rough behavior towards them at earlier. Today he was alive only because of his family. On one side of his heart wanted to be live with his family, but Naina's wish and happiness also mattered a lot to him. He did not decided so he asked her desire, where she want to live and that his problem could have been untangled and his mind got some peace after knowing her thought.
There was a warm smile on his mouth while he engulfed her in a tight bear hug. They both remained like this and he did not lose his hold as he wanted to keep her with him forever like this.
"To aapne decide kar liya kahan settle honge after wedding." Sameer listened her soft murmuring under his chest.
"Ummm.... nahi kiya... lekin jald hi kar lunga kyunki tumne meri aadhi problem solve kar di hai..." He spoke while rested his head on her top of the head.
"To kahan... socha hai." Naina asked with excitement and her clasped him tightly behind his back.
"Abhi nahi ye to mai tumhe hamari wedding night ko bataunga... aur" He stopped as felt her blushing and he did not want to get her embarrassed so he left his sentence in mid. After a while he said "Naina chale ab... already 7:30 ho gaye hai aur restaurant pahuchane me aadha ghanta lagega."
"Pata hi nahi chala ki itni der ho gayi... yahan kitni shanti hai mann yahan se jane ka bilkul mann nahi kar raha." She said leisurely as did not want to go away from here.
"To phir dinner cancel kar de... aur puri raat yahi bitayenge." He prodded.
"Nahi... mujhe aapke saath dinner karna hai." She parted from him and tried to standing.
Sameer forwarded his hand to her and she held it for support. He pulled her towards him when she was standing perfectly. He enclosed his hand around her shoulder while headed towards the car. After settling in the car he left for the restaurant.
The whole ride was quiet on both sides, neither of them said anything. Sometimes Sameer would stare at her while driving and sometimes Naina would glance over his figure. The two had a calm smile on their faces as their problem was resolved to some extent. Naina wanted to tell Anand about them and Sameer wanted to know her wish where she wanted to live after marriage.
Half an hour later he parked the car in the parking lot of a newly opened restaurant. He quickly got out of the car and opened the door of her side. She came out of the car. He slipped his left hand into her right hand and entwined their fingers together. They leaded towards the main gate. As they approached the gate, the guard opened the door for them and they went inside, there a waiter came to them for help. Sameer informed about his booking and gave him his visiting card.
The waiter immediately took them to where their booking. This was the second floor of the hotel and had a perfect poolside view from here. The entire floor was empty, no one was visible. And after some time the waiter left giving privacy to the couple.
Both Sameer and Naina were mesmerized by the decorations. It was quite different from other restaurants. The theme of the hotel was unique. A glimpse of the village culture was visible in full decoration.
Sameer had booked the entire floor, and he ordered that he should not be disturbed at all. He had decorated the whole corner for dinner. He had given a perfect look of a romantic dinner as there were dim light and he had kept flowers of naina choice. And a table was decorated...from there the beautiful scenery of the pool side was easily visible.
"Naina kaisa laga mera surprise dinner...i hope tumhe pasand aaya hoga...Naina ye hamari pahli dinner date hai..." Sameer whispered leaning towards her ears as she was lost to see the decoration.
Naina voice filled with joy "Sameer bahut achha hai... apni khushi jahir karne ke liye mere shabad kam pad jaayenge..." Naina looked around and no other person appeared to on the entire floor so she couldn't help but asked "kya aapne pura restaurant book kiya hai... koi aur dikh nahi raha."
"Nahi...Par itna kiya hai ki koi hame disturb na kare." He replied to gaze her bright face.
And Sameer made her sit on the chair and sat in front of her so that he could see her beautiful face. After a while he cleared his throat, drawing her attention to him, as she was lost in absorbing the decorations made just for her.
Naina face tensed to hear his coughing, she turned to him and offered a glass of water. "Sameer pani pi lijiye khasi chali jayegi. Abhi tab to aap thik the achanak se khasi kaise hone lagi."
Suddenly a mischievous thought came in Sameer mind to get more attention of Naina towards himself and he said in a feeble voice. "pata nahi Naina kaise, par suddenly suffocation hone laga." He tried to loud coughing.
She immediately got up, gave him a glass of water and rubbed his back in her small palm. She asked anxiously "ab kaisa lag raha hai... kuch relax feel hua, agar abhi bhi takleef hai to ghar chale."
Sameer turned her in front of him and said in a softly "mai thik hun Naina... kahi jaane ki zarurat nahi hai, aur tum baitho." He ordered her strictly as she denied.
Once she again sat on her chair. "Sameer ye sab na aapke over workload ki vajah se ho raha hai... kya zarurat hai itna kaam karne ki, mana ki kaam zaruri hai lekin apko apne health ka bhi dhyaan rakhana chahiye... aise der raat tak jagna sahi nahi hai...Deepika bata rahi thi Delhi me aap kaise der raat ko office se ghar aate hai aur yahan to koi tokne wala bhi nahi hai, pata nahi kitni raat tak jagate honge...aap ye Delhi aur Ahmedabad dono jagah rahne ka plan chodiye aur shaadi tak aaram se Delhi me rahiye...koi bhag daud ki zarurat nahi hai, mere liye aapse milne se jyada apki health important hai... Sameer aap meri zindagi hai please mere liye apna khayal rakhiye." Naina voice became heavy and chocked when she said him it all. Her eyes got moist.
Sameer was stunned and felt guilty to cry Naina. He immediately got up and went to her. Sitting in front of her on the floor, wiped her tears with his thumb. "Shhh... chup ho jao Naina, mai thik hun mujhe kuch nahi hua hai...ma...mai to bas mazak kar raha tha."
And Naina jerked away his hand from her face "Sameer ye mazak tha... aap kaise apni health ko leke kaise mazak kar sakte hai... mujhe aap se iski ummeed nahi thi."
Her face hardened knowing the truth of his mischief. There was no emotion, only pain showing on her face.
"Sorry...mai to sirf tumhari attention apni taraf karna chahata tha aur isi flow me achanak se bol diya... maine tumhe rulaya uske liye sorry." He held his both ears with hands and made a innocent face with his charming smile.
Naina melted a slightly but not softened to him. "jaiye Sameer apni jagah pe baithiye... koi dekhega to kya sochega."
"Lekin Naina..." But his sentence cut by her strictly.
"Jaiye Sameer...please." She said in a loud voice and turned her face away.
Sameer reluctantly got up and back on his seat as he felt he was deserve it for hurting his Naina. His gaze fixed on her, she avoided to meet her eyes to him and looked everywhere except him. He mentally cursed himself for ruined his first dinner date. He was much excited to his first dinner with her and for spent time with her. But now he was worried for her reaction and wondered why she was overreacting to such a small matter. He immersed in her strange behaviour thinking the reason for it.
"Sameer..." Her called out his name brought him back from his thought.
"Huhh... kuch kaha tumne." He asked uncertainty.
"Order kare... nahi to ghar jane me late ho jayenge." She said in a normal voice but he felt she was disturb with something and she was not showing.
Sameer asked her choice before order but she politely denied "aap ko jo pasand hai order kar dijiye. Meri koi special pasand nahi hai."
Sameer did not want to drag this matter for long, so he ordered most dishes of Naina's choice. His eyes struck on her face. There was no trace of smile but a worriness reflected from her face. He wanted to ask the reason why she distressed.
Just then their food arrived, he stopped and he decided to ask her later. He served the plate for both of them and she helped him with silent. Sameer first fed her a morsel and she too fed him. He smiled at the fact that she accepted his food without refusing.
After finished meal he ordered her favourite chocolate ice cream. When the ice cream arrived she was shocked and looked him as he passed the icecream to her.
"Kya hua aise kyo dekh rahi ho tumhari favourite icecream magawayi hai." He asked with a smile.
"Haan wo to hai...par ek hi kyo, aapki kaha hai." She asked interestedly.
"Maine socha kyo do magwa ke paise waste karna... jab hum dono ek hi icecream share kar sakte hai." His sounded some mischievously.
Naina pulled the ice cream bowl towards her. "Mai ye kisi ke saath share nahi karne wali aap ko khana hai to apne liye ek aur order kar lijiye." And she started eating ice cream slowly without glancing him.
Sameer became happy to see her smiling face, at least she had spoken to him normally. He adored at her face the way she relishing of her icecream. He lost her cute act the way she licking the spoon. He drowned in her eyes the way her eyes squeezing when felt chillness. He looked deeply at her face as enjoyed her eating.
Naina had happy to see all the arrangements that he had made only for her and she was lost seeing the beauty of the new restaurant. After a while when she had heard his coughing sound, her trance was broken and she had scared of his sudden cough. She was also worried about his handling in both places at the same time. It was too much for him. She had wanted to scold him for the carelessness of his health.
But Naina had angry with him when she came to know that he had created this situation only to get her attention. She wanted to fight with him for his health, but she had chose to keep quiet as his mischievous act had hurt her deeply. She wondered how a responsible person like Sameer could have made such a joke. For her, his health was the first priority rather than spending time with him. So getting angry, she had finished dinner without talking to him. She also wanted a happy dinner with him as it was her first proper outing with him. But deep down in heart, his words were bothering her that she couldn't get back to normal.
And she saw her favorite ice cream, her anger slowly subsided and her expression softened while she was enjoying the ice cream as he had not taken his eyes off her face. Finally she offered him a spoonful of ice cream.
But Sameer refused to eat. She requested and he pointed to the spoon that she had eaten herself as she tried to feed him with another spoon. " Mujhe na usme khana hai jis spoon se tumne khaya hai."
Naina was confused about how she to feed him the same spoon which she used. "Sameer ye mera jootha hai... aap kaise mera jootha kha sakte hai."
"To ice cream bhi to joothi hai." He winked her.
"Jis side maine touch nahi kiya tha udhar se khilaya rahi thi" She felt embarrassed.
"Agar khilana hi chahati ho to usi spoon se khilao, tabhi khaunga... Kyunki jootha khane se pyaar badhata hai." He gestured again at her spoon.
After seeing no other option she finally fed him the same spoon. When she fed him, a red tint spread on both her cheeks as he had lost in her eyes.
He opened his mouth and enjoyed the ice cream. "Iss se achchhi icecream to maine aaj tak nahi khayi thi, isme kisi ka pyaar hai ... jo mujhe apne dil ki gahraiyon se pyaar karti hai..." And he too fed her the same spoon of ice cream. He said in a deep low voice. "Lo ab tumne bhi mera jootha kha liya, ab dono ka pyaar bad gaya...kabhi khatam nahi hone ke liye, janmon janmon tak ye pyaar aisa hi rahega."
Naina blushed deeply of his loving talk and interrupted him with saying "chale ab... jaldi ghar pahuchna hai."
Sameer called the waiter and paid the bill. They headed towards the parking lot. She opened passenger seat door before him. He sat helplessly in the driving seat. He looked at her face, it seemed tense again. He did not want to argue with her in the parking. He drove car swiftly while glancing her, she was looking out the window. When he saw road was empty. He stopped the car on the side of the road.
Naina looked towards Sameer from this sudden halt. She found his intense gaze on her as if asking her a lot of question. She downed her face as she could not bear his intensity and his question. She couldn't dare ask him anything because he had been watching her for the last five minutes with the same intensity without uttering a words. She felt
When Sameer understood that she would not say anything. He surrendered to her silence and asked in a soft voice "Naina kya baat hai jo tumhe itna pareshan kar rahi hai, please tell me Naina."
But she flatly declined "kuch nahi hua hai Sameer aap kuch jyada hi soch rahe hai... mai thik hun.... aur aap jaldi ghar chaliye...Chachi ji pareshan hongi."
Sameer had feeling low for ruined her mood and had tried to sort out this matter but to see no response from her as he expected, he lost his temper.
"yaar Naina maine aisa bhi kya kah diya jo aise rudely behave kar rahi ho, mujhse itna gussa ho ki ab baat hi nahi karni... mai to bas tumhara attention pana chahata tha aur inn sab me aisi baat muh se nikal gayi. Haan manta hun meri galti hai mujhe aise nahi kahna chahiye tha par maine ye mazak samjha kar kaha tha mujhe nahi pata tha tum iss baat ko itna seriously le logi"
Sameer looked at her face there was no change in her face, the same painful expression on her face that more irritated him" Naina ab bas bhi karo yaar, kyo baat ko bada rahi ho... mera intention tumhe hurt karna nahi tha, mujhse galti ho gai jo maine tumse aisa kaha agar mujhe pata hota itni si baat pe tum aise react karogi to mai kabhi tumse mazak nahi karta... Please Naina ye shaam aise lad jhagad ke to mat khatam karo." Sameer baffled to see her cold behaviour and looked at her with hope, at least she will answer.
But seeing her keep quiet his expectation was in vain. His fist clenched and his heart wrenched at her cold behaviour towards him. He calm downed his rising anger. After that he silently drove towards her society. While driving he time to time steeled some glance to her.
When they reached out of her society, Naina stepped out of the car. She about to enter the gate when she listening his greeted Good night. She too wished him in a low voice and she again stopped to hear his voice.
"Naina jab tak tum balcony me nahi aaogi mai yahan se nahi jaaunga." He declared his decision to see her last time in her balcony before go to his home.
Naina entered the house as soon as Bela opened the door. She gave a smile to Bela that she could not guess anything was wrong between them.
"Beta kaisa raha dinner... aur kya kya shopping kiya." Bela asked for tease her.
"Wo... wo humne shopping nahi ki chachi ji time hi nahi mila." Naina answered shyly.
"Dekho to meri Naina ki gaal kaise laal ho gaye aur ye muskurahat bata rahi hai dinner achha hi gaya hai...Sameer ne tera achhe se khayal to rakha na..." Bela asked concernly.
Just then Aanand called out Bela in their room for search some important document.
"Ja beta apne kamre me bahut raat ho gayi hai aur mai tere chacha ji ko dekhati hu unhe kya nahi mil raha hai...aur sun jaldi so jana." Bela ordered her while entering her room and Naina nodded her head.
Naina quickly went to balcony as soon as she stepped inside her room. She saw Sameer's car was still in their society gate. Sameer get down his car window glass and gave her a sweet smile with gesturing to smile her.
