Chapter 31

Vishakha did not believe, what she heard from his son's mouth, she wanted to confirm it, so she asked him again.

Sameer felt shy to declare his love directly to his mother, but he had no choice and he hesitantly replied.

"Umm... mammy mujhe ek ladki bahut pasand hai... I want to marry that girl aur uske ghar wale hamse milna chahate hai." Sameer looked at her with sheepish smile.

"Kahan ki hai ladki Delhi ya phir Ahmadabad ki... aur tu kab mila uss se." She asked with gleeful smile seeing his blushing face.

"Yahi Ahmadabad ki, Naina naam hai uska... mere college me hi padti thi...I love her mammy." He finally confessed in front of his mother that's he loved someone.

Vishakha was surprised to know that her son loved someone.

"Kya?... matlab baat sirf shaadi ya ladki pasand karne ki nahi hai yahan to baat dil ki hai aur panch saal se tune itni badi baat mujhse chupayi... maine tujhse kitni baar puchha Sameer, phir bhi tune ek baar bhi batana zaruri nahi samajha... mai tujhse bahut naraz hun Sameer." She turned her face other side.

"Mai aapko kya batata mammy, jab mujhe khud hi nahi pata thi puri sachchai." He replied to see her anger.

"Matlab." She puzzled.

Sameer explained. "College ke time mujhe nahi pata tha ki Naina bhi mujhse pyaar karti hai... mai to use mere farewell day par propose karne wala tha lekin nanu ki tabiyat bigad gayi aur uss tension me use apne dil ki bata nahi paya... aur jab mai use batane gaya tab tak uski shaadi fix ho chuki thi." Vishakha noticed a pain in his eyes and she felt helpless for not understanding the pain of his son.

But now she was confused as to why her son wanted to marry that girl. Vishakha asked sternly and a anguish arose inside her for her son foolishness. "Jab Naina ki shaadi ho gayi hai to... phir kyo uss se shaadi karna chahata hai..." something clicked her mind "kahi uska divorce ya phir uske husband ki death to nahi ho gai hai aur tu apne pyaar ke khatir uss par taras khake usse shaadi karna chahata... kya chal raha hai tere mann me." She shouted at him.

Sameer immediately corrected of his mother's misunderstanding. "Mammy jaisa aap samajh rahi vaisa kuch bhi nahi hai...Naina ki shaadi nahi hui hai ab tak... In fact abhi kuch din pahle hi mujhe ye baat pata chali." And he told Vishakha about his meeting Naina in Delhi.

"Tab mujhe pata chala ki Naina bhi mujhse pyaar karti hai. Mai uss se bahut pyaar kata hu mammy wo meri jaan hai aur uss se shaadi karna chahata hu... Please mammy maan jaiye na... pata hai aapko nanu to kab se use apne ghar ki bahu maan chuke the jab maine use apna pyaar confess bhi nahi kiya tha...." Sameer tried to convince his mother and revealed that his Nanaji had considered Naina as his daughter-in-law.

"Mammy Naina bahut simple aur sidhi sadhi ladki hai, baki sab se bilkul alag...jab mai college ke last year me tha tab Naina ne first year me admission liya tha, ek project ke dauran hamari dosti hui aur mujhe pata hi nahi chala ki kab mai Naina se pyaar karne laga... but unfortunately hum alag ho gaye aur jab panch saal baad mile tab maine jana she too loved me... aur mai use nahi khona chahata....I want make her a part of my life." He too explained about Naina's simplicity and Naina family.

Vishakha did not say anything and looked at him with daze. After she thought of something, she asked "uske ghar wale ye baat jante hai...Naina ne bataya ghar pe."

"Nahi jante hai...Naina apne ghar par nahi bata payi... uske gharwale thode purane soch wale hai, shayad wo mana kar dete iss dar se usne nahi bataya." Sameer hid the main reason of Naina fear as he did not want to turnish her image in front of his mother.

"To phir uske ghar wale hamse rishta karne ko kaise ready ho gaye... Sameer." She asked in a loud voice.

"Aap Pandit mere bachpan ka dost use janti hi hongi, nanu ne aapko bataya tha." Vishakha nodded her head and he continued "uski shaadi Naina ki bahan se hui hai... uss ne mere hi kahne par hamari baat uske ghar pe ki hai aur ab Naina ke gharwale hamse milna chahate hai." He took everything over himself so that his mother would not misunderstand Naina again.

Hearing to Sameer, Vishakha engrossed in deep thought. Sameer was waiting for her approval and his heart beat started thumping loudly. She opened her mouth but not for his support.

"Tune jaise Naina aur uske family ke baare me bataya mujhe nahi lagta ki tum dono ka koi match hai. Wo ek middle class family se hai, uski parvarish bilkul ek alag soch ke saath hui hai aur shayad Naina hamare status ke according apne aap ko change kar paye, uski aur hamare status me bahut difference hai, bhale hi hum use apna le ya wo hamare according change bhi ho jaye... par kya wo bahar walo ki baaton ko sah payegi...Jaise ki tune bataya Naina bahut sidhi aur simple ladki hai, mujhe dar hai uske andar adjust na kar paane se kahi ye rishta use bojh na lagne lage, Naina inferiority feel na karne lage... jisse tum dono ke beech bhi dooriyan aa jayegi,...Jo shayad tum dono na sah pao isse achha ye rishta yahi khatam ho jaye...Sameer mai ye sab tere future ko soch ke kah rahi hun, isi me tum dono ki bhalai hai. Mai ye nahi kah rahi ki Naina achhi ladki nahi hai par wo tere layak nahi hai beta... sach kahu mujhe ye rishta sahi nahi lag raha... mujhe tere future ko soch ke bahut chinta ho rahi hai... agar aisa kuch hua to kahi tu phir apne aap ko unn andhero me na kho de... Jahan se maine tujhe bahut mushkilon se bahar nikala hai jab papa nahi rahe aur tu unki kami sah nahi paya tha." Vishakha explained her perspective about their future and revealed her fear about him.

Sameer was numb to hear his mother's view of their relationship. As he had never thought of it in his dream, he thought that his mother would easily be agree to see his happiness in Naina, but now all his dreams and happiness were shattered into pieces. His face dropped, his eyes filled with salt water, but he held it. He managed himself not to be vulnerable and begged his mother. "Mammy aap bekar me chinta kar rahi hai...aap ek baar Naina se mil ke to dekho jaisa aap soch rahi ho vaisa kabhi nahi hoga, Naina jaldi se haar manne walon me se nahi hai... Naina hamesha mera saath degi... wo bahut achhi hai mammy... Please."

"Sameer mujhe jo thik laga maine bata diya baki teri marji tujhe jo karna hai kar." She said in a dry tone and walked out of the room.

Sameer stared at her retreating figure with tears filled eyes. He was stunned for a few minutes and Naina's face flushed in his mind. He could not understand why his mother had refused his happiness.

Half an hour later he returned to his room, as he stepped inside the room, he slammed the door loudly. When his eyes landed on a vase, he threw it to the ground which broke into pieces. He threw everything that came his way. The whole things was scattered on the floor and his entire room was mashed up. He was lying on the bed and staring at the ceiling with blood-shot eyes. Every happy moment that he had spent with Naina from his college to yesterday temple meeting was running in his mind.

He mumbled "kyo mammy aapne kyo mana kar diya?... mujhe kitna vishwas tha ki aap meri khushi ke liye kuch bhi kar sakti ho... mujhe laga tha Naina me meri khushi dekh ke aap haa kar dengi... phir kyo kiya mana kyo mammy?... kyo?... aap ko shayad nahi pata lekin mai Naina ke bina nahi jee sakta."

On the other hand, Vishakha was cooking food for Sameer, she knew that her son would be angry as she did not agree to his demand. She heard Sameer throwing things and she was aware of a strom inside him as she had known him since childhood that he had shown his anger in this way when no one had fulfilled his wish. So she prepared a delicious meal of his choice so that she could calm his anger.

When the dinner was ready, Vishakha called out to Ramdhari and asked him to call Sameer for dinner. Ramdhari went to his room to call Sameer, at first he saw that the room was completely messed up, he was afraid to call him, but courageously took his name.

"Sameer bhaiya... chaliye khana kha lijiye." Ramdhari frightened as he knew his anger.

Sameer shot up him with red eyes "mujhe nahi khana hai... tu ja yahan se disturb mat kar."

"Wo Vishakha chachi ne apne hathon se khana banaya aur unhone ne hi hame bheja hai.... aapko bulane." Hearing him, Sameer answered in a soft voice. "Tu chal mai aa raha hun."

Sameer was surprised to hear Ramdhari as he thought his mother would be angry with him but now he wondered that if his mother was not angry with him, there were some hopes left to convince her. He decided he would try again. After washing his face he went to dinning area. Once he looked at the table, he was pleased as most of his favorite food. He noticed his mother who was sitting in a chair waiting for him to come.

Vishakha took a glimpse of him. She served food herself and him. "Sameer dekh aaj sab teri pasand ka banaya hai... chal jaldi se baith mujhe to bahut bhuk lag rahi hai..."

Sameer thought that first they both finished dinner, then he would try to convince again and he without questioned her sat down on the chair. Both mother and son enjoyed their dinner with some chit chat. Sameer calmed his anger as his main priority was here anyhow convincing her mother to accept their relationship.

When the dinner finished, he got up from chair and he kneeled down near his mother chair and took her hand in his hand and requested.

"Mammy please ek baar meri baat sun lo... aap ko lagta hai na hum dono ki jodi sahi nahi hai aur Naina apne ko hamare hisab se dhal nahi payegi aur insecurity feel karegi... lekin aap nahi janti ki Naina ek school me teacher hai, wo well educated aur self dependent girl hai, jo kisi bhi situation ko face kar sakti hai...mai apko ye baat isliye nahi bata raha tha ki aap kaise react karengi... mai aapko bharosa dilata hun ki mai Naina ko itna pyaar dunga ki vah kabhi inferiority feel nahi karegi, mera pyaar kabhi hamare beech ye condition aane hi nahi dega aur Naina ek confident ladki hai bhale hi uski parvarish mujhse alag hui hai par wo mujhe bahut achhe se samjhati hai aur ek achhe rishta ki majbooti ek dusre ko samajhane me hoti hai jo hamare paas hai... to aap mann se ye dar nikal do na mammy... Please. Naina bahut achhi hai, mai usse bahut pyaar karta hun... mai uske bina nahi jee sakta... wo meri jaan hai please mammy.... maan jao na... Iss rishtey ke liye aap ki haa bahut zaruri hai, mai aapke manzoori ke bina apni nayi zindagi shuru nahi karna chahata." And he collapsed on the floor near her chair, folded his hand and looked at her with pleading eyes.

Ramdhari saw this heart wrenching scene at the stood near the kitchen door, he was crying to see Sameer pleading.

Vishakha jerk out her hand from his grip and replied sternly "Sameer mai janti hu tum Naina se bahut pyaar karte ho... lekin pyaar hi sab kuch nahi hota, iske alawa bhi bahut si baatein hoti hai, mai tujhe kaise samjhau... mai bas itna hi kahungi mujhe ye rishta perfect nahi lagta... tu ye phaisla dil se le raha hai ek baar future ka soch beta... abhi tu ye sab pyaar ke nashe me bol raha hai... meri maan ek baar shant dimag se soch uske baad phaisala karna."

"Mammy maine ye sab bahut soch samajh ke kaha hai aur mera decision kal bhi yahi tha aaj bhi yahi hai aur parso bhi yahi rahega... mera pyaar Naina ke liye kabhi kam nahi hoga aur na hi Naina ka... hum dono ne iss din ke liye bahut intezaar kiya hai... maine to saari ummeed hi chod di thi lekin ye bhagwan ji ka aashirwad hai ki hum panch saal baad phir mile... Please mammy iss baar aap hame alag mat kijiye." He pleaded her, but this time Vishakha observed some determination in his eyes.

"Sameer raat bahut ho gai hai, mujhe bahut neend aa rahi hai, hum kal iss baare me baat karenge." She avoided this topic and walked towards the guest room but her heart was heavy to see the pain in his son eyes.

Sameer was sitting here even after Visakha left as he could not understand why his mother was denying for such a small thing. He looked at back of his mother with tear-filled eyes. Ramdhari approached him and placed his hand on his shoulder. Sameer jerked out of his thought and went to his room while wiped his tears back of his palm

Vishakha sat down in her room and said to herself "Sameer ki aankho me maine Naina ko paane ka ek junun dekha hai...Mujhe dar hai kahi mai phir se apne bete ko na kho dun... mai ab use nahi kho sakti. Itne salon baad wo mujhe mila hai aur mai iss Naina ki vajah se use apne se door hone nahi dungi."
She thought much about the matter, finally she decided something.

On the other hand Naina was waiting for Sameer's phone. He had not called her till 11 o'clock at night and some uneasiness had bothered her. Finally she called him, after the long ring call picked up by Sameer as he didn't want to stress her.

"Ha Naina bolo..." He made his voice normal as he suffered too much pain for his mother disapproval.

"Sameer aap ki mammy aa gai..." She asked slowly.

"Haa... kyo?" Sameer just answered as if he did not know her intentions.

"Aap ne baat ki hamare baare me kya kaha unhone ne." Naina asked too much nervously.

Sameer knew that she would ask this question, so he was not calling her as he was avoiding her question that would shatter her.

After much pondered he replied softly "Nahi ho pai Naina... wo mammy ki flight late thi to ghar pahuchate tak raat ho gai thi... mai kal subah hote hi baat karunga... tum tension mat lo aur so jao... mere sapne dekhate huye..." Naina's face turned red listening his cheesy line.

As the phone put down Sameer let out a breath of relief but he felt guilty as lied to his Naina but there was no other way to get rid of this situation in front of him.

***********

Sameer did not out of the room for breakfast in the next morning. Vishakha worried about him and she went to see him in his room. She opened door swiftly, scanned the whole room as soon as entered the inside and she froze on her place seeing one side wall, which was covered with written Naina in bold letters. She immediately turned her gaze on Sameer who sleeping with the hugged pillow, a dry stain cleared visible on his cheeks and some blood stain dried in his back of palm as it seemed that he had hitted his fist on the wall or something rough surface.

Vishakha sat down near him on the bed, caressed first his hand then his face and tears flow down her face. He stired a little, held her hand tightly and took it to his heart. He whispered Naina name in his sleep. She felt a pain in her heart to see his son condition. She determined something and slowly patted his head taking his name.

"Sameer utha aaj office nahi jana... dekh kitni der ho gai hai." She softly called out of his sleep.

Sameer heard his mother soft voice and opened his eye, but he did not respond and loosed her hand, turned his face to other side. Vishakha felt his negligence that pricked her heart. She again patted his head and stroked his hair. He turned his face and looked at her with no emotion as if asking her why she did not consider his happiness above her so-called future thoughts. He was about to turn his face again but stopped to hear her mother.

"Kya mai itni buri hun ki tu ab mera chehara bhi nahi dekhana chahata... aur itna naraz hai ki apni maa se baat bhi nahi karega... kya Naina hi tere liye sab kuch hai...Meri teri life me koi jagah nahi hai." She said emotionally as she sensed his eyes which had ignored her.

Sameer realised his mistake and immediately got up and held her hand "mammy aap meri life me utni hi important ho jitni Naina...balki use se bhi jyada, aap ki jagah Naina kabhi nahi le sakti... par mai aap dono me se kisi ko bhi nahi khona chahata... mujhe aap dono meri life mai chaiye ho... mujhe aap dono me se kisi ko nahi chunna... Please mammy aap ek baar Naina se mil lo."

"Chal ab jaldi se utha ja nahi to kaun milwayega mujhe Naina se." Vishakha said in a cheerful voice as she finally agreed to meet Naina.

Sameer at first shocked then dawned her words "matlab... aap... aap ready ho Naina se milne ke liye." He was excited and a wide smile spreaded over his face.

"Haa...lekin meri ek shart hai, Naina se milne ke baad jo bhi mera decision hoga tujhe manna hoga...." She put a condition but Sameer took a chance if his mother liked Naina.

"Thik hai mammy...mai aapki har baat manunga... par aap bhi dekh lena Naina aap ka dil zarur jeet legi..." He happily got up from the bed and twirled her as he knew his Naina would win his mother heart.

"Sun mujhe aaj hi Naina se milna hai, tu use aaj lunch time par ghar bula le... aur jaldi se ready ho ke aa nahi to breakfast thanda ho jayega." She ordered him when she left the room and Sameer sat down on the bed with thud as how he would give this news to Naina suddenly but he did not want to miss this chance because his mother had agreed after much convince.

And he dialed Naina's number without thinking what would tell her. As the phone connected, Bela picked up the phone and heard her voice he disconnected the call. After 2 minutes he called again and Bela picked up phone that disconnected again.

"Pata nahi kon aawara hai jo aise phone laga ke kat raha hai... bhagwan jhut na bulaye inn longo ke paas koi kam dhandha hota nahi hai jo subah subah pareshan karne aa jate hai..." Bela ranted the person who had disturbed her morning work.

When Naina came out of her room, she heard Bela ranting at someone "kya hua chachi ji itni subah kis par gussa hai."

"Wo uss aawara aur nalayak par jo baar baar phone kar pareshan kar raha hai...phone uthao to kuch bolta hi nahi bas meri aawaj sunte hi jhat se kat deta hai." Bela told her about blank call and hearing Bela she thought about Sameer but immediately shrugged her thoughts as why he called at this time.

After 5 minutes the phone ranged again, this time Bela asked Naina to pick up the phone.

"Hello... kaun bol raha hai." As heard Naina voice Sameer face glowed with joy.

He gently took her name "Nainaaa."

And Phone almost slipped from her hand as heard Sameer voice but immediately she grabbed it before it hit the floor.

"Naina tum sun rahi ho na." And Sameer soft voice made her come back from her shock and she looked at around her.

She walked in her room after informed Bela as the call was her school. Bela mumbled herself "to isme phone aise katne ki kya zarurat thi... pata nahi kaisa insaan hai par iss se mujhe kya."

"Sameer aapne iss time kaise phone kiya... kuch problem hai kya." Naina asked as she entered her room.

"Naina mammy tum se milna chahati hai aaj... lunch time me." Sameer informed Naina without any context.

Naina was stunned and asked him "matlab aap ne bata diya sab aunty ji ko?... wo maan gayi?... phir kyo milna chahati hai, kya milna zaruri hai?." She was scared to meet his mother.

"Haa...Naina zaruri hai... please mil lo, pata hai tum thoda dar gai ho aise maine achanak milne ko kah diya... mai tumhe 12 baje lene tumhare school aaunga." He requested her and told her his plan to come to pick her up.

Naina agreed to her plan and opened her cupboard to choose a perfect dress as she was going to meet her future mother-in-law.
She selected a simple and beautiful blue colour salwar suit. She did not want to tarnish the image in her first meeting. As she had never thought about her dress sense before meeting Sameer in Delhi but now she always met Sameer wearing her school saree and today she did not want to meet his mother in her school uniform.

As she came out of her room Bela was surprised to see her wearing a salwar suit. "Naina aaj tune saree nahi pahni kuch special hai kya aaj school me."

"Na.. nahi chachi ji wo ... haa saree na bathroom me gir gayi to maine socha aaj ye pahan lun." Naina hesitantly gave her excuses.

After breakfast she left the house with nervously.

On the other side Sameer danced with excitement. He quickly got ready and joined his mother for breakfast. He had breakfast with full enthusiasm. Vishakha was glad to see his chirpiness back.

"Naina ne kya kaha aa rahi hai na?." Vishakha asked.

"Haa mammy aa rahi hai..." He answered with grin.

***********

Naina was sitting in the staff room waiting for Sameer. She was anxiously waiting for 12 o'clock. Her eyes were glued to the wrist watch of her hand. She left school when it was 5 minutes left at 12 o'clock. When she reached the gate to shock as Sameer leaned against the car and he straightened up on seeing Naina. Naina approached him and he opened the door of the passenger seat for Naina. Then he settled on driving seat.

He caught a glimpse of Naina once before starting the car. He found her worried. And 5 minutes later the car stopped at the side, when he noticed that the road was a bit vacant.

Naina looked him with horror, but Sameer blinked his eyes as gave her assurance. He took her hand in his and pressed it "Naina meri taraf dekho..." He softly called her name as her eyes were downcast.

Naina raised her lashes and looked at his face. "Naina mammy tumse bas simply milna chahati hai aur kuch nahi hai... tum itna nervous mat ho... mammy jo bhi puche uska answer dil se dena..."

"Sameer aap ki mammy maan to jayegi na... mai unhe pasand to aaungi na.." Naina asked with cute face.

Sameer could not resist himself and cupped her face, gently pressed his lips on her forehead. "Meri Naina ko koi napasand kare aisa ho hi nahi sakta... To tum apne mann se ye dar nikal do aur muskurao."

Sameer drove the car towards his house when Naina felt relax. Approx 15 minutes later they both stood at the door of Maheshwari mension. Sameer grabbed her hands tightly and looked at her with lovingly.

He inch closer to her ear and wishpered with wider smile "to hone wali mrs Maheshwari aapka aap ke sasural me swagat hai..." And he spreaded his hands in the air, Naina blushed to see his describing and she about to forwarded her leg, but Sameer stopped her "ruko, ruko... aise nahi saath me...chalo aaj humari grih pravesh ki bhi practice ho jayegi." And he winked her, Naina felt a current running her spine to see his wink and the way he had gripped her hand.

"Chale... andar." He asked looking at her and she nodded her head.

As she entered inside the house, she felt a unknown sensation that was good feeling and she looked around. She followed Sameer, they both reached the living room where Vishakha sitting on the couch. Vishakha stoop up to hear Sameer voice. She looked Naina from head to toe. Naina felt nervousness and folded her hands then she immediately touched Vishakha feet.

"Baitho Naina...Sameer tum bhi baitho." Vishakha said in a soft voice.

Naina was sitting in the three seater couch with vishakha and Sameer sat down near Vishakha on single seat. Sameer's eyes fixed on Naina as she looked nervous.

"Naina...Sameer ne bataya tum dono ek dusre se bahut pyaar karte ho." Vishakha asked while glancing to Sameer who also nervous as heard his mother question for Naina.

Hearing Vishakha, her eyes shot up on Sameer, who gestured her to get calm down.
"Ji... aunty ji." Naina just uttered two or three words.

"Huh...Agar Naina tum dono Delhi me nahi milte to tum kya karti... aise hi Sameer ka intezaar karti ya phir apne gharwalon ki marji se shaadi kar leti." Vishakha questioned her on most difficult situation of her that she could not too imagine.

"Mammy aap ye kya puch rahi ho..." Sameer said but his sentence cut by Vishakha.

"Sameer mujhe Naina se baat karni hai... to tu chupchap baitha raho aur hame disturb mat kar." Vishakha strictly ordered him.

Naina couldn't think what answer she would give to her question. She looked at Sameer with hope but her hope downed to see Sameer tense.

"Maine iss baare me kuch socha hi nahi kabhi." And Naina caught a glimpse of Sameer as to how he reacted to her answer.

Vishakha noticed their exchanges, she said to Sameer "Sameer tum jao dekhana lunch ready hua ki nahi aur Naina ke liye kuch juices bhijwa dena... Ramdhari ke hathon."

Sameer reluctantly left for the kitchen after taking a look of Naina. Naina was fidgeting with her bags strips. Vishakha sensed her nervousness and gently calmed her down with her humble voice.

"Naina relax ho jao aur itna nervous hone ki zarurat nahi hai...." Naina relaxed to hear her soft voice and her polite behaviour.

Once Naina felt comfort Vishakha asked "Sameer bata raha tha tum ek school me teacher ho. "

"Haa aunty ji." She said.

"ye bahut achhi baat hai ki tum apne pairo par khadi ho, mai girls ke self dependent hone ke side hun.... lekin Naina.. agar kabhi iss job ki vajah se tumhari married life me tension hui to tum kya karogi." Vishakha wanted to knew about her view of marriage.

"Aunty ji mere liye Sameer ki khushiyon se badkar kuch nahi hai... agar aise situation aai to mujhe job chodne me ek pal ki bhi deri nahi lagegi." Naina said with determination.

When Vishakha was about to ask the next question Ramadhari entered with holding a tray. He smiled at Naina and put down the tray on the table. Vishakha glared him as he was not going back "Ramdhari jao aur jake lunch ki taiyaari karo jab ready ho jaye to bulane aana." And he fled away here.

Vishakha was impressed by her answer and she questioned again "Naina...Sameer ek businessman... aaye din use inn business partiya aur invents attain karna hota hai... kya tum uske saath apna match bana paogi, uske lifestyle me apne ko change kar paogi, inn high society business partiyon ka hissa ban paogi...Sameer ke saath kadam se kadam mila kar chal paogi." Visakha directly questioned her ability whether she would be able to adjust herself according to their high society.

Naina understood her meaning, she answered "Mai Sameer ke liye kuch bhi kar sakti hun... mai apne aap ko unke according change karne ki puri koshish karungi, mai samajh sakti hu ek ma hone ke nate aapke mann ka dar, par aap ye dar nikal dijiye... mai unse bahut pyaar karti hun... aur unki khushi me hi meri khushi hai... to mai apne side se koi kami nahi rahne dungi."

Vishakha was bit satisfied with her answered and asked her last query with reveal her fear. "Naina tumhe to Sameer ke gusse ke baare me pata hi hoga..." Naina nodded her head in yes and Vishakha said to see her acceptance. "wo turant kisi bhi baat par gussa ho jata hai aur jab tak vah uss baat ko convince na karva le shaant nahi hota... aur ye condition tumhare samne shaadi ke baad aayegi to kya tum Sameer ke gusse ko handle kar paogi, use gusse me kuch samajha nahi aata, mai bachpan se uska gussa dekhate aa rahi hun, use manna bahut mushkil hota hai... mai tumse ye expect karti hun ki tum uss situation me bhi mere bete ka saath do, use uski taklifo me akela nhi chhod do... mere Sameer ne life me bahut dukh dekha hai aur mai chahati hun jo uski humsafar bane vah uske har kadam par, har mushkilon me aur har kamjor lamhon me uska saath na chhode... Khushiyon me to sabhi saath hote hai but kathin samay me koi nahi hota.... to kya mai tumse ye expect kar sakti hun ki tum har situation me Sameer ka saath dogi."

"Aunty ji mujhe achhe se pata hai unka gussa... Sameer sirf galat hone par hi gussa hote hai, aur mai kabhi bhi unka saath nahi chhodugi chahe kitni bhi kathin situation ho... aur mai Sameer ka gussa bardash kar lungi aur hamesha aise situation me unhe shant karne ki koshish karungi... mai unka saath apni aakhari saans tak nibhaungi." Naina tried to show her love for Sameer as she indirectly wanted to away her fear.

Vishakha noticed a confidence on her eyes and on the way she talked. Vishakha smiled at Naina but not showed her expression. "Naina tumhari soch jaan kar bahut achha laga, maine socha tha tum ek middle class family se ho to shayad tumhari soch thodi conservatives hogi but you are confident girl, tum time ke saath chalane wali ladki ho..." She praised her and looked at here and there. "ye Sameer aur Ramdhari kaha rah gaye lunch ready karne ko kaha tha, lekin inn dono ka kuch pata hi nahi... tum baitho mai dekh ke aati hun."

Visakha went to the kitchen and Naina breathed a sigh of relief. Her heartbeat accelerated at the speed of miles when she was answering Vishakha's question. She did not want to show her weak point in front of her.

When Vishakha reached on the kitchen surprised to see Sameer who was instructing Ramdhari something of cooking.

"Sameer ye kya hai abhi tak khana ready kyo nahi hua... aur Ramdhari ko tu kya bata raha hai... Ramdhari dinning table par sab arrange kab karoge." Vishakha scolded both.

"Wo... Sameer bhaiya ne kheer banane ki jid ki to hum usi me lag gaye bas 5 minutes me hum sab rakh denge." Ramdhari said in a scared voice.

"Wo mammy Naina pahli baar ghar aayi hai to socha kuch meetha banana chahiye.. isliye.." Sameer scratched his back with sheepish smile.

"Sameer...jao bahar, Naina akeli hai, mai yahan sab dekh lungi." Sameer returned back to living room after his mother order.

Sameer slowly approached Naina and about to sat down near her that Naina sensed his intension and she immediately stood up. Sameer shocked to see her standing in a hurry.

"Naina tum aise achanak se kyo utha gayi... tumhe kuch chahiye." Sameer asked to see her sudden got up.

"Nahi... wo aap aise achanak se aa gaye aur baithne lage to... aunty ji dekh lengi Sameer please...." Naina said hesitantly.

"Tum bhi Naina.. itni si baat se dar gayi...lo mai yahan baith jata hun...ab to baith jao." Sameer said as sat down of the single seat couch beside her side. Naina sat down again her place.

"Naina... mammy ne kya kaha tumse, achhe se baat to ki na..." but his sentence interrupted in between by Vishakha.

"Sameer, Naina aao dono lunch ready hai." Vishakha called them for lunch.

Naina felt awkwardness to take lunch with them "aunty ji ab mujhe chalana chahiye... aap log lunch kariye mai jati hun."

"Are aise kaise... ye lunch special tumhare liye hai aur tum chali jaogi...Sameer samajha ise aur 2 minutes me aa jana." Vishakha said in a soft voice and ordered Sameer to convince Naina.

"Naina chalo na... dekho mammy ne kitne pyaar se tumhe bulaya hai please." Sameer made a cute face.

Naina agreed and then they headed towards the dinner area. Everyone finished their lunch with a light hearted talk and some chit chat. Vishakha asked Sameer to drop Naina at her house after lunch. Naina tried to stop her but Vishakha insisted that she finally agreed.

Sameer tried to ask Naina what had happened between his mother and her, when they both on the way. But Naina did not tell him anything as she understood Vishakha's condition for her son. She knew that if she told him that Vishakha had questioned her about her love, maybe he would have been furious at his mother's question. So Naina avoided his asking and changed his mind to do other things.

Vishakha's question of her love in this way made Naina's heart heavy and somewhere her questions had hurt her self-respect.
But she also understood Vishakha's fear of her son's future. She didn't want to make a distance between mother and son because she knew how much Sameer was longing for his mother's love. So she decided to be quiet in this matter.

After some minutes Naina laughed loudly and Sameer confused to see her.

"Naina kya hua achanak se aise paglo jaise has raho ho." He asked scrunched his face.

"Wo subah chachi ji ki baat yaad aa gayi... jab aap phone cut kar rahe the tab wo aap ko naye naam de rahi thi." She giggled.

Sameer was surprised and asked "aisa kya naam diya unhone jo tumhe itni hasi aa rahi hai."

"Aawara aur... Nalayak..." She looked at his face.

Sameer bemused "haad hai yaar itne handsome aur honhar damaad ko meri sasu maa ne itna famous naam diya hai.... vaise tumhe kaun sa naam pasand aaya."

And the car stopped with a sound of applying sudden break. Sameer eyes fixed on her face that her laughter stopped as she felt his gaze intensity on her eyes.

"Sameer aap ne car kyo roki..." She asked nervously.

"Madam car nahi rokta to aapke ghar ki gali aa jati... agar aap chahati hai aapke ghar tak drop karu to mujhe koi problem nahi hai." He was about to start to the car but Naina placed her hand on his, that was on steering wheel.

"Nahi... wo mujhe pata nahi tha hum pahuch gaye... aur mujhe laga ki aap..." She downed her face.

"Kya laga?...Naina." He smirked to see her flushed face.

"Kuch nahi." She was about opening the door but Sameer grabbed her wrist.

"Ruko... ek minutes." He turned to back seat and brought a box in wrapped a glittering paper. "Naina meri taraf se ek gift hai aur please ise ghar jakar hi kholna."

Naina looked at his face with a smile "thank you."

"Madam thank you aise accept nahi hogi uske liye kuch different karna hoga aapko, socho tum kya karogi... aur haa raat me batana gift kaisa laga."

He lifted her hand to his lips and placed a kiss on the palm peering deeply into her eyes. Naina face turned going red.

"Vaise Naina tum aaj bahut beautiful lag rahi ho... mann kar raha hai tumhe aise hi dekhata rahu... lagta hai tumhe mujhse jyada mammy pasand hai tabhi to itni saj sawar kar aai ho, aur mujhse milti ho to vahi school ki dull saree me." He made a innocent face and complained to her for look beautiful.

"Itni jalan Mr. ki apni mammy se hi aap ko jalan hone lagi." She chuckled.

"Sach kahu, Naina...You are looking gorgeous."

He gave her compliment with resist his desire to capture her in his arm as they were both near her house.

Naina did not say anything nor looked him.
She blushed at his comment.
